If you heard the stories I'm hearing from my German stepkids you almost wouldn't believe it...Cop friends of theirs saying they're told to STAND DOWN if non Germans rape, threaten bodily harm, steal, etc ...talk about demoralized law enforcement. The Africans and Arabs (Africans are becoming a worse problem lately, sadly...which I guess makes me a racist for telling the truth, right? :-)) rape and even kill in large groups....if it's something enough people saw and the cops must arrest, they get to court and are released because they can never pinpoint who exactly did the rape, etc....My kids are very disillusioned because they were all for immigration 10 years ago, big soft hearts....now they're upset, so sad and even scared. They remind me now how their Dad was warning them...a prophet.

Germany's new censorship law, which has introduced state censorship on social media platforms, came into effect on October 1, 2017. The new law requires social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, to censor their users on behalf of the German state. Social media companies are obliged to delete or block any online "criminal offenses" such as libel, slander, defamation or incitement, within 24 hours of receipt of a user complaint -- regardless of whether the content is accurate or not. Social media companies are permitted seven days for more complicated cases. If they fail to do so, the German government can fine them up to 50 million euros for failing to comply with the law.

The new censorship law, however, was not fully enforced until January 1, 2018, in order to give the social media platforms time to prepare for their new role as the privatized thought police of the German state. Social media platforms now have the power to shape the form of current political and cultural discourse by deciding who will speak and what they will say.

On January 1, 2018, however, the law was immediately enforced. Twitter began by suspending the account of the deputy leader of the Alternative for Germany party (AfD), Beatrix von Storch, for 12 hours, after she tweeted the following in response to a New Year's greeting issued in Arabic by the Cologne Police:

"What the hell is happening in this country? Why is an official police site tweeting in Arabic? Do you think it is to appease the barbaric, gang-raping hordes of Muslim men?"

Furthermore:

Von Storch also had her Facebook account suspended for repeating her tweet there. Facebook told her that her post contravened German law, as it constituted "incitement to hatred".

It did not stop there. Cologne police filed charges against von Storch for "incitement to hatred", which is punishable under section 130 of the German Criminal Code.

Separate Bathrooms For Muslims In Germany?

'Authorities are also concerned by the sheer speed with which this third generation are radicalised and their abrupt readiness to disappear and start a new life in a terror training camp,' said a report in Der Spiegel magazine on Monday.

Germany: Minaret Debate Turns Nasty

Spiegel says it's "far-right rhetoric" to acknowledge that Islam is the greatest threat that faces humanity at this point. That's a hard one to swallow when out leaders are warning us of impending attacks, and initializing plans to have security forces on hand in the event of a catastrophic attack on the Western world.

But, you know, Spiegel believes it's ok to live in la-la land, so we'll just let them.

From the la-la land dwellers:

A small Muslim community in a western German town would like to build a minaret on its mosque. But the plan has triggered passionate opposition from locals, many of whom rely on rhetoric from the extreme right in railing against the "symbol of Islam's quest for power."

"Willkommen," reads the stencilled print on the wall along the riverside boardwalk in the small town of Völklingen. Not content to just welcome its German guests, however, the message is translated into a number of languages. "Bienvenue ... bienvenidos ... velkommen," it reads. And "hosgeldiniz," a nod to the city's substantial Turkish population.

Elsewhere in the city -- particularly in the quarter known as Wehrden -- Muslim immigrants may not feel quite as welcome. A small mosque on the banks of the Saar River there has applied for a permit to build a small minaret on its roof -- triggering a wave of at-times vehement protest reminiscent of the fuss surrounding the November 2009 referendum in Switzerland to ban minarets in the country.

"I am against the Islamification of our fatherland!" reads a message, posted by "Tommy" on the Web site of the local paper Saarbrücker Zeitung. "Islam is the greatest threat facing humanity," he adds.

In a town meeting held on the subject in late January, a number of locals came out against the minaret plan. According to Berlin daily Die Tageszeitung, several expressed fears that Germany was being "infiltrated" by "the Turks."

The plan foresees a minaret stretching a mere eight meters (26 feet) above the roof. The head of the Turkish-Muslim community planning the minaret, Adnan Atakli, has assured locals that there are no plans to broadcast calls to prayer from the minaret and that he merely sees it as an "ornament."

Doesn't Shy Away from Far-Right Rhetoric

And not everyone has come out against the plans. Many have pointed out that such an adornment would only improve the not-terribly-attractive quarter where the mosque is located. Furthermore, almost 10 percent of the Völklingen population is made up of immigrants, many of them Muslims. Some say it only makes sense that they be allowed to build a small minaret.

Still, politesse has hardly characterized the debate in Völklingen. Indeed, the back and forth is reminiscent of the campaign in Cologne in 2008 to block the construction of a mosque there. The campaign was led by a group called Pro-Cologne, a group that doesn't shy away from far-right rhetoric. Similar debates have taken place in numerous European countries as the right wing seeks to tap into widespread skepticism toward Islam.

The Swiss referendum, which saw 57.5 percent of voters come out against the minaret ban, clearly showed just how anchored anti-Muslim sentiment may be in Europe. Indeed, a group called Pro-NRW (short for the German state North Rhine-Westphalia) now plans to cooperate with right-wing political parties in numerous European countries to organize a European Union-wide minaret referendum.

Islam's 'Quest for Power'

The debate in Völklingen is once again showing how quickly right-wing rhetoric can cross over into the mainstream when it comes to debates on Islam in Europe. Local right-wing extremists -- two of whom are in the Völklingen city council -- have argued that minarets are "symbols of Turkish dominance." They point to a speech given by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in February 2008 in Cologne. In it, he said that "mosques are our barracks, minarets our bayonets, the domes our helmets and the believers are our soldiers."

The Völklingen mosque belongs to the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB), which has close ties to Turkey. "We are being quietly infiltrated by the Turks!" said one participant at the late January town meeting, according to Die Tageszeitung.

The local news paper, however, has used the exact same rhetoric on its editorial pages. "This minaret should not be built," the Saarbrücker Zeitung wrote in late January. "It symbolizes Islam's quest for power and is nothing less than a provocation. In the course of the Muslim conquests, minarets were first used as watch towers and only subsequently as religious symbols. Following the violent seizure of new territories, minarets were built as manifestations of Muslim rule."

Minaret opponents are now looking into the possibility of holding a referendum on the issue in Völklingen. Yet another one.

I can't figure out why German people would be worried about Turkish invasions, unless maybe it has something to do with history. Let's look. Oh yes, here it is:

The Siege of Vienna in 1529 was the first attempt by the Ottoman Empire, led by Suleiman the Magnificent, to capture the city of Vienna, Austria. The siege signalled the pinnacle of the Ottoman Empire's power, the maximum extent of Ottoman expansion in central Europe (see Ottoman wars in Europe), and was the result of a long-lasting rivalry with Europe. Thereafter, 150 years of bitter military tension and reciprocal attacks ensued, culminating in the Battle of Vienna in 1683, which marked the start of the Great Turkish War by European powers to remove the Ottoman presence.

The Ottoman failure to capture Vienna in 1529 turned the tide against almost a century of unchecked conquest throughout eastern and central Europe, which had previously claimed Southeastern Hungary as a vassal state in the wake of the Battle of Mohács. According to Toynbee, "The failure of the first [siege of Vienna] brought to a standstill the tide of Ottoman conquest which had been flooding up the Danube Valley for a century past."^[5]

There is speculation by some historians that Suleiman's main objective in 1529 was in actuality to reassert Ottoman control over Hungary, the western part of which still held out as an independent monarchy known as Royal Hungary. The decision to attack Vienna after such a long interval in Suleiman's European campaign is viewed as an opportunistic manoeuvre after his decisive victory in Hungary. Other scholars theorize that the suppression of Hungary simply marked the prologue to a later, premeditated invasion of Europe.^[6]

Much of Europe was once under the control of Islam. Any European who knows a modicum of European history knows this. One must be very educated (read indoctrinated) in order to not understand the threat. Clearly, the people at Spiegel, who are our betters after all, are very, very educated.

The Man Who Puts Obama To Shame

Question: Is "post-racialism" possible?

The 36-year old Philipp Rösler will be taking office as Federal Minister of Health in the second Cabinet of Angela Merkel. (The picture above shows him at the swearing-in ceremony as Minister for Economics and Deputy Prime Minister of the federal state of Lower Saxony on February 18, 2009.) I will let you know later what makes the German Federal Minister of Health so topical today.

Rösler was born in Khanh Hoa, Vietnam, and came to Germany at the age of nine months as the adopted son of a couple that already had two biological daughters. He grew up in Hamburg and Lower Saxony. After training to become a combat medic in the Bundeswehr, Rösler was exempted to study medicine at the Hannover Medical School. Following this, he continued his education at the Bundeswehr hospital in Hamburg. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2002, and left the military as a Stabsarzt, which equals the rank of an army captain, in 2003.

He is Catholic, which is decisively not the norm in strictly Protestant Lower Saxony, and a member of the General Conference of the Central Committee of German Catholics.

Rösler has been a member of the market-liberal FDP since 1992. He was secretary of the FDP in the state of Lower Saxony from 2000 until 2004. From 2001 until 2006 Rösler was a member in the regional assembly of Hanover (district), where he was also deputy chairman of the parliamentary group. In May 2005 he was elected an observer of the federal FDP executive committee. At the state party conference in March 2006, Rösler was elected chairman of the Lower Saxony FDP. In April 2008, he was confirmed in the office, receiving 95% of the votes.

In July 2007, he was elected to stand as his party’s main candidate in the Lower Saxony state election to be held in January 2008. On 18 February 2009, Rösler was appointed minister for economy, labour and transport as well as deputy prime minister of the state of Lower Saxony.

Now it was declared that he would succeed the painfully inept "Ulla" Schmidt as Federal Minister of Health in Angela Merkel's second Cabinet.

Rösler is married to Wiebke and since Oktober 28, 2008 they are the parents of the dizygotic twins Grietje Marie und Gesche Helene."One looks rather East Frisian, like my wife, the other one resembles me", he told the glossy BUNTE.

Today, the trial of a man accused of killing an Egyptian woman in a German courtroom (we reported) opened in Dresden. Security is tight, about 200 police officers secure the court, the area is barred for traffic, the residents were asked to remove their cars from the streets and the accused sat behind bulletproof glass. Many attendants were wearing badges with the victim's face. "This trial is seen as having a higher than usual security risk," a police spokesman said and nobody laughed.

"He stabbed them out of pure hatred against non-Europeans and Muslims. He wanted to annihilate them," prosecutor Frank Heinrich told the court and nobody mentioned all the many peaceful Muslims for whom the security measures had to be taken because they want to annihilate US and have gone a long way towards that goal a darn sight more effectively already than the yob from Russia in the German courtroom in July in reverse.

Will it be enough? You must be joking!

January 31, 1997 the 42-year old Vietnamese Phan Van Toau's skull is broken by a German who smashes him on the concrete floor at Fredersdorf (Brandenburg) railway station. Three months later Phan dies in a clinic. The prosecutor at Frankfurt (Oder) opens the case against him on the grounds of xenophobia. During the trial, the perpetrator spouts racist slogans like "Fijis out of Germany". Still, the court does not follow the prosecutor and sees "no xenophobic motive" behind the deed. The defendant gets a sentence of nine and an half year for manslaughter.

In August 2008 a Vietnamese illegal cigarette dealer is stabbed to death by a German who wanted to play cops and robbers in Berlin-Marzahn. Witnesses confirm that the man had announced his deed and that he wanted "those Fijis" to go away. The head of the homicide squad saw no "hints that would suggest a racist crime". Accusations of manslaughter were dropped and the perpetrator confined to a mental institution.

It took me two minutes to find those cases through a Google search including the German search terms for "murder" and "Vietnamese". And neither in those two nor in any other of the other cases I found was a courthouse turned into a fort, no full-bodied declarations of "pure hatred against non-Europeans and Vietnamese" or "annihilation" were made, nobody wore badges with the dead men's faces and no politician went to the funerals carrying a white (or any) rose. In a word: nobody gave a damn.

Did the Vietnamese riot in the face of such REAL German coldheartedness, of such TRULY blatantly unjust sentences? Did they accuse the Germans collectively (if at all) of racism and hatred? Did they make demands? You must be joking! Instead, they went on with their clothes shops, their illegal cigarette dealings, their fruit and vegetable stalls, in a word, with their lifes*, just as Dr. Philipp Rösler did neither turn into an angry advocate for South Asians nor did he ever make his race an issue at all. He does not think that his success is justly deserved for past injustices of whites towards the non-white races, he does not speak for minorities, the disgruntled, the bitter, the jealous and the power-hungry, he does not offer himself as a redemption from the original sin of being white. He is just the right man for the job.

* This rather flip statement is supported by a 2007 study of the Ministry for Foreign Aid ("Economic Cooperation" as it is now politically correctly called). Most Vietnamese people, in West Germany more so than in the East, are well integrated. What is specifically interesting is that it was noted that they do little networking. They rather try to assimilate and to get on in life individually, based on their own merits.

In this context, the case of the rabbi who was stabbed by a friendly young man with a migration background in Frankfurt in September 2007 (we reported) deserves to be hauled from the blog bilges as well:

The 22-year-old admitted to stabbing the rabbi, prosecutors said in a statement. The man is being investigated on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and aggravated battery.

According to the rabbi, the assailant said "I’ll kill you, you Scheiß-Jude." [Expletives are hardly translatable -- Scheiß=shit, Jude=Jew].

Prosecutors said that the suspect -- whose name they did not release -- denies having either, any intention of killing the rabbi or any antisemitic motive.

Of course not. Nobody who rams a 7 1/2-centimetre blade into somebody's abdomen has intention of killing the recipient of this attention. That is true. As true as the suspect's statement that he felt threatened by and physically inferior to the middle-aged, obese rabbi and so reached for his knife. As true as he picked by mere chance a man to attack who was, by his outfit, easily identifiable as Jew. As Henryk M. Broder put it: "Here we have another case of self-defense, where the provocateur leaps aggressively into the provocatee's knife as an answer to a friendly "salam aleikum".

Jews didn't riot either in the face of such REAL German coldheartedness, of such TRULY blatantly unjust sentences. They didn't accuse the Germans collectively (if at all) of racism and hatred and they did not make demands.

Does anybody see a pattern here?

Jew Hatred from the Cradle

One of the major topics of my blog is the deep in the German culture ingrained hatred of Jews. Read At Full Gallop through German History with links to further information there or elsewhere. Part of it is the long-standing bleeding-heart empathy for the Palestinian Arabs.

Lately, the picture of a toddler wearing a kefija-styled baby bib attracted some attention here. I did a Google search for "Palituch and children" (="kefija and children") and -- lo and behold! -- there is an entire market for it.

4,160 hits for "Palituch" (kefija) and "Kinder" (children). To be fair, quite a few of them are critical of the kefija and contain some information for youngsters why they ought not to wear it. As I haven't browsed through all the 4,000 plus hits, from a cursory overview I'd say that this applies to a quarter of them, which is, I guess, better than nothing.

Some details from the majority:

"This shawl has a long historiy and is right now totally hip again. The shawl is doubly woven and from 100% cotton..."

This is pretty self-explaining. Halstuch/Tuch = shawl, and they are "lovingly made". You bet!

"Finally mother and baby can wear the super-hip partner look. Stylish [notice the appalling Anglicism!] kefija for babies, the mini-variant, so to say, for mommy's large shawl..."

Granted, many of those sellers may not know what they are doing and are, dumb, deaf and daft, waxing lyrically about super-hip kefijas for babies, made with love, as they would swoon over anything they intend to sell. However, something like "This shawl has a long history and is right now totally hip again" leaves not just some doubt about the sellers intentions (but then, maybe there ARE people who are drivelling about "history" and don't know what this specific history is about, namely the hatred and genocide of Jews) but is frightening in its, maybe inadvertent, accuracy as well. Jew hatred IS "totally hip again" in Germany.

While many sellers and buyers of the kefija may not consciously intend to express hatred of Jews, but rather a vague feeling of being "anti-imperialist" of "leftist" (if that), it is certainly a fact that in Germany, and in Germany only, an environment exists, where a symbol of hatred for Jews and genocidal intent could become a "hip" part of children's wardrobe. How do I know that? I tried an English language search for "kefija/kefijah/kefije/kefijeh and children" and didn't get a single hit and even the French, although their passion for the Arafat mop is considerable, they don't offer any pour des bébés ("Pastinien and foulard and enfants"). Do you want me to try Spanish, the Slav languages and some Bantoo dialects as well?

There is a large intersection, mind you, between the buyers and sellers of that sort of stuff and those who throw everything, from hissy fit to court trial, at the first sight of any swastika. Yes, we have learned a lot from our past.

'German Patriot' Converts to Islam

The German "Pro" parties (Pro Köln being the best known one), so I stated when the rally organized by that party gained some notoriety by Robert Spencer's and Pamela Geller's absence in May, are not part of the bona fide "Islam critical" movement. In fact, so I argued, they have nothing against Islam as such, and don't shy away from rubbing shoulders with a world view to which they basically feel a marked affinity, first because it is totalitarian, and second because it is antisemitic/anti-American. What they do NOT want, however, are strangers at their own doorstep. This they call "Überfremdung" -- literally "overforeignisation" -- which is an undisputed- and definitely racist term. It has, I say it again, nothing to do with Islam, but with skin colour.

You will see that I, too, made perfectly clear that many decent people are among those who follow the "Pro" movement for want of any alternative in a political environment hell-bent on submission to Islam. I outlined as well the scandalously hypocritical and unconstitutional action of the German authorities and political classes towards a movement that is undoubtedly legal, as much as one may disapprove of that.

Maybe this bit of news sheds some additional light on it:

Roger Schwedes, former head of the regional branch of Pro-NRW Ruhrgebiet, recently converted to Islam. In an interview with the Islamist website "muslim-markt" he reports in detail about his time with "Pro NRW".

As a former member of the "Republikaner" [one of the -- just -- legal parties in Germany bordering on National Socialist ideology] he considered the "people's movement Pro NRW" young, fresh and full of new ideas... He didn't object to the "Überfremdung" assumptions of the movement because of the overproportional criminal behaviour among migrants. His goal was to find an alternative to the face- and characterless major people parties. Criticism of Islam wasn't all that important to him, what he wanted was to turn away from anti-German, pro-American and capitalism-orientated politics, so Schwedes explained.

[Follows a lengthy complaint about internal strife within the Pro-movement.] The informal Pro NRW meetings in various regions turned out to be nothing but palaver by frustrated lower middleclass Babbits, just eager to vent about "Ali" from next door. However, through Pro NRW he became familiar with Islam.

Roger Schwedes' conversion to Islam should be seen with a critical eye not just because of his former membership with the Republikaner and Pro NRW, but as well because of antisemitic statements approved by him. Additional information at Politblogger. Interestingly, Pro NRW claims now to have expelled him because of that, which, not surprisingly, is untrue: Schwedes resigned out of his own motivation and the head of Pro NRW, Markus Beisicht, thanked him for his cooperation over many years and the achieved "success for the organisation". Successor of Schwedes in the Ruhrgebiet happened to become the notorious Neonazi defence lawyer André Picker.

I wonder why nobody (myself included) asked Pamela Geller, Geert Wilders' great confidante, why HE did NOT attend the Pro-Köln rally back in May. Is it possible that she finally and much too late, namely after she had consented to attend, had a word with him and that THAT was the reason why she and Spencer refrained from attending, and not the fear that Charles Johnson of LGF-infame might drown their cyber rubber duckie? But it's always easier to blame somebody else than to admit that one has made a mistake, isn't it?

And so this self-hating German liberal leftist pinko commie (sorry if I forgot a couple of names I've been called) rests her case.

While the worst-case scenario I outlined two weeks ago didn't happen, I am not all that optimistic when it comes to Germany's future. Above all, I don’t share Richard Spencer’s kindly view of neither, the Christian Democrats as they are nor of Angela Merkel, and specifically any comparison, even a far-fetched one like here, with Pim Fortuyn or Geert Wilders is preposterous. Merkel couldn’t manage to form another coalition with her partner of choice, the Social Democrats, which is a good thing. However, I am not all that optimistic about the value of the Free Democrats either. They are the party most open to the Islamisation of Germany, partly because of their liberal understanding of society, partly -- they define themselves as the party for the well-to-do and business people -- because of the opportunities the trade with the Muslim countries offer.

Angela Merkel doesn’t deserve her second mandate, but got it for want of any alternative. The woman who lately told the pope from a great height how to run his shop while standing next to a Muslim potentate has managed to confine the Christian Democrats to utter meaninglessness within just four years. It wasn't what I had expected. Four years ago she got my vote. This time I joined the mightiest party in Germany, the party of the non-voters.

An Old Flame Never Dies

After Alan Dershowitz and the JPost, Family Security Matters have finally caught up with us as well.* Under the misleading header "Exclusive: Germany Avoids Criticizing Radical Islam and Radical Muslims" Sami Alrabaa posts a synopsis of this blog*:

The German media and some German public figures are soft, too soft, on radical Islam and avoid critics and critique of this violent “religion.” The audio-visual media invite only uncritical talking heads. The print media publish only articles by apologists of Islam. Here are some examples:

The recent confession of the four Muslim terrorists, also called the “Suaerland** Group,” who were planning to kill as many Americans in Germany as they could, was hailed by the judge, state prosecutor, and the media. The devastating terrorist attack prepared by these men was foiled from a tip by the CIA, which the German media depict as not abiding by the law and acting against human rights.

The German media and some German politicians hailed the confession and deliberately ignored the ideological/religious sources of their attack, namely the Koran and Hadith, which incite Muslims to kill non-Muslims.

In an interview with Al Arabiya TV (August 16th), Daniel Cohn-Bendit***, a leading politician of the Green Party in the European Parliament, presented radical Muslims as “part of a socio-political religious movement across the world, like the RAF, the German terrorist group we had in the 1970s.”

Contributions of critics of radical Islam are rejected by German media. For example, The German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung**** published on July 10, 2009, an article by Alaa Al-Aswani in which he twists facts and argues that the West is ill-informed and biased toward Islam. “Westerners are misinformed about Islam, therefore they hate Islam and hate Muslims,” Al-Aswani says.

Many programs about Islam have been broadcast on WDR5***** radio and posted on the Internet. None of them, however, mention issues of violence and discrimination against women and non-Muslims, which fill the Koran and Hadith and are practiced by many Muslim families. The WDR5 depicts Islam as a tolerant and peaceful religion, like all the others.

On the other hand, other radio programs are excoriated for criticizing Islam. On June 18, 2009, WDR5 broadcast a whole hour feature attacking the Polish Radio Maria.

Almost every month, I tour all of those mosques run by Arab imams, all over Germany whose language I understand. In every one of these mosques, the imam preaches hatred and violence against non-Muslims. Germany and the Germans are depicted as “decadent and steered by the devil.” At the end, the imam demands loudly the introduction of Sharia, “It is the law of Allah, and the best on earth.” Muslim women are urged to wear the hijab (headscarf). They are also urged to follow the advice/orders of their men as the Koran and Hadith prescribe.

However, the most atrocious parts of imams’ preaches is their incitement to hatred and violence against the Jews and Christians. All of this is ignored and tolerated by German authorities as part of free speech and religious freedom. Israel is depicted as the “aggressor” and the Palestinians as the victims.***** Critique of Islam is presented as “Islamophobia.”*******

All this being said, when someone criticizes Islam and radical Muslims, they are taken to task and branded as racists and labeled as “fascist right-wingers.”********

With regard to democracy and human rights, the West goes selectively, and the mainstream media, especially in Germany, assert that day in and day out.

While Angela Merkel demands publicly imposing economic sanctions on Iran for its nuclear program, she supports German companies that entertain trade of highly technical equipment with the Iranian regime.*********

It seems that the German government and other European governments are prepared to deal with the devil if he serves their economic interests. They pay lip-service to democracy and human rights in countries like Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Egypt, if they ever do so. Germany, Britain, France, and Italy are competing to pamper states Libya, Iran, and Saudi Arabia which support terror across the globe.

Just one additional remark: It has escaped you, as it escapes almost all non-Germans, who venture to comment on German affairs, that the reason why Germans are prepared to deal with the devil is not so much their economic interests, but very much an affair of the heart.

The Post-Racial Age Has Arrived in Germany

...or: About people born on the right side. Twice.

The post-racial message of America's President Obama has finally arrived in Germany. How have we survived so long without it?

The director of the publicly funded "Workshop of Cultures" (Werkstatt der Kulturen), "theatermaker" and ethnologist Philippa Ebéné, decided Thursday to remove educational panels covering the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini from a planned exhibiton at her premises to the disgust of a district mayor, the curator of the exhibit and the Berlin Jewish community.

The exhibit covers the immensely topical issue "The Third World during the Second World War" and three of 96 exhibit panels are dedicated to the REALLY topical issue of the mufti's collaboration with the Nazis who had a decisive influence on the Holocaust (we reported many times already). Ebéné stated that she refused to display the information on Husseini out of respect for joint Arab organisations. Her decision was supported by migration commissioner of the Berlin Senate, Günter Piening. In a neighbourhood (heavily dominated by Muslims) like Neukölln a "differentiated presentation" was paramount, Piening stated.

Maya Zehden, a spokeswoman for the Berlin Jewish community, termed Piening's statement "an appeasement attempt" to ignore the fact that "there was no official resistance from the Arabic world against the persecution of Jews" during the Shoah. She accused Piening of showing a false tolerance to German-Arabs in a heavily Muslim-influenced neighborhood.

In an e-mail to the JPost, Heinz Buschkowsky, the district mayor in Neukölln, wrote that it is a sign of "anticipatory obedience to avoid probable protests. I do not consider this position to be good", notabene pointing out that Piening's statement is a "repression of the facts dealing with anti-Semitism."

Meanwhile, Ebéné denied that there was an "agreement" with the local Muslim community to censor the exhibit. She termed media queries regarding an agreement as "Eurocentric." The Jeruslem Post was informed that the exhibit was intended as a "homage to soldiers from African" countries who fought against the Nazis. Indeed, a crucial aspect of WWII so far totally neglected.

When asked about her opposition to the inclusion of the mufti panels, she asked, "was there ever a commemoration event in Israel to honor the [African] soldiers?" In an Interview with Radio Berlin Brandenburg Ebéné, who has a German mother and a father from Cameroon and is thus, so to say by birth and per definitionem, on the right side, stated: I am not white. I have no reason to be afraid of Arabs", which is rather endearing for somebody who is allegedly heavy into informing the world about the African slave-trade.

My take on all this? This is so rock-solid, die-hard, intransigently and impregnally stupid and so full of the usual German "antifa", politically correct, "fight against the right", "multiculti"anti-West and racist crap, that it defies any serious comment, because that would lend her antics a credibility they don't possess. That Ebéné is first confusing Fascism and National-Socialism and then, when challenged, peddling her family's (the German side, that is) history of saving Jewish children to show that she is by birth DOUBLY on the right side, is only the icing on the cake.

Of course, the reaction of the public, the political classes and the media, or the question how Ebéné could end up in such a position at all, are a different matter.

Hun - Throat - Feet

This is NOT a spoof! This is the Turkish flag being flown on top of the Godesburg, the symbol of the town of Bad Godesberg, sub-municipality of the former West German capital of Bonn.

It is to celebrate the 40-year jubiliee of the twinning of Bad Godesberg with the Turkish town of Yalova within the framework of the current town festival, where a delegation from Yalova is present. So flying this flag is, mind you, OFFICIAL. A cursory online search seems to indicate that the German flag code remains silent about the flying of alien national emblems. But is everything that is not explicitly forbidden allowed or even advisable?

The renowned German professor of ancient history and classicist Egon Flaig wrote 2006:

"Then we want the flag of Islam to fly over those lands again, that once had been lucky enough to be submitted to the rule of Islam and having heard the call of the muezzin praising God. Then the light of Islam died out and they returned to infidelity. Andalusia, Sicily, the Balkans, Southern Italy and the Greek Islands are all Islamic colonies which have to return to the fold of Islam. The Mediterranean and the Red Sea have to become inland seas of Islam, as they used to be". These are not the words of Al Qaeda, they were taken from the programme outlined by the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan Al Banna, in a speech. The Brotherhood has millions of followers today and reaches out far beyond Egypt. Their intellectuals are working in Europe and the United States; they count as "moderates" and are treated as such by the media. Planned re-conquering of "lost" territories are part of the agenda of states that are fighting for territorial dominance. How can it be part of a religious programme? Is Islam a religion like any other religion?

Maybe deeming the reading of classics or ancient history as obsolete was a mistake. But then, I guess it's just the sheer and undiluted German love for totalitarian ideologies that lets them do what they do.

Politically incorrect, but honest

Muslim leaders have long cried foul when the media highlight the religious affiliation of suicide terrorists. Murders of all kinds happen every day and news reports don't note which perpetrators attended a Methodist church or which were baptized Catholic. Why the double standard for Muslims?

The religion of those such as the 9/11 hijackers was -- is -- relevant because, in their minds, the crimes were religious acts. It's impossible to ignore the Islamic dimension of crimes that are executed in the name of Islam. To pretend that the shared religious identity of al-Qaeda operatives is coincidence would be absurd.

Now it's fair to ask the media at least to make clear that while terrorists see themselves as holy warriors, they might not represent true Islam. But that's not what some Muslim leaders are asking. The Islamic Society of North America wants to abandon altogether any mention of the Muslim aspect. "We should just call them criminals," said Muneer Fareed, the Islamic Society's spokesman. The Canadian Islamic Congress has likewise referred to the "myth of 'Islamic' Terrorism."

The legitimacy of the term "Islamic terrorism," to denote terrorism committed in the name of Islam, is easy to defend. But in other criminal cases, it's trickier to explore the relevance of culture, race, religion or national origin.

This is an issue journalists, police and politicians struggle with all the time. Much of the gun violence in Toronto, for example, is apparently connected to the black community, often Jamaican-Canadian, whose members comprise a disproportionate number of both victims and assailants. But for a long time you wouldn't have known this from any public discussion about crime in Toronto.

Globe and Mail columnist Margaret Wente broke the taboo after the 2005 Boxing Day shooting death of Jane Creba, the 15-year-old who got caught in the crossfire between warring gangs. Wente said it was ridiculous that amid all the handwringing over Toronto's unsafe streets, "the word 'Jamaica' can't be found ... even though police will tell you off the record that 80 per cent or more of the city's gun crime is Jamaican-related."

But covering them up also incurs costs. First, it's dishonest. Politicians and social activists who pretend that these shootings are just expressions of generic "youth violence," when everyone knows otherwise, lose credibility. Secondly, it's impossible to fix a problem when you deny it exists.

Of course bad people can incubate in any community, but cultural or ethnic groups have particular vulnerabilities. It shouldn't be forbidden to say so. As one who has always emphasized the Islamic dimension of suicide terrorism, I recently received a gloating letter from someone hoping to catch me in an inconsistency. The writer was under the impression that I would naturally object to news reports mentioning the Jewishness of Bernie Madoff, the Wall Street swindler.

Actually, if I had been the reporter to break the Madoff story, I'd have not only highlighted the Jewish connection, I'd have put it in the lead. Heck, I'd make it the headline. Sure it's a little different from the issue of Islam and terrorism -- Madoff wasn't expressing an article of religious faith in defrauding people. But Madoff operated within a defined ethnic network, the monied Jewish community of New York, which is why police classified his escapade as a crime of "affinity."

The crime was made possible because Madoff exploited his position as a big shot -- a macher -- in that network. I mentioned earlier that we shouldn't be afraid to say that ethno-cultural groups have particular vulnerabilities. Madoff was as sleazy as they come but his perceived ability to make money conferred on him much status in the Jewish world, which he took advantage of.

Although financial misbehaviour is an equal opportunity vice, rabbis and others who teach Jewish ethics are not out of line to worry that the accumulation of Ivan Boeskys, Michael Milkens and Bernie Madoffs eventually points to misplaced values in some corners of the Jewish community.

Right now there's a debate whether to situate honour killings in a Muslim context. Some people want simply to place these murders in the catch-all category of "domestic violence." I suppose that it would be politically convenient for multiculturalists to de-Islamicize honour killings, but it sure won't do much towards actually stopping them.

I'd like to add some thoughts. First, the author is writing about political correctness. This strange phenomenon was once inspiredly defined as the doctrine that it is possible to pick up a turd at its clean end. Interestingly, whereas it is applied to criticizing Muslims or people of non-white races, it has never been applied to Jews. Antisemitism, which most people don't even bother to veil thinly as "anti-Zionism", was never something worthy of being covered by the smokescreen of political correctness. Also, and even more interestingly, any attempt to refute antisemitism as what it is, is met by strident complaints that "it isn't possible to criticise Jews anymore" because of -- you've guessed it -- "political correctness". Genuine, valid criticism of Jews as an ethnic group, like here, is as rare as a Blue Mauritius stamp. I think we ought to thank the author for clarifying the difference so lucidly.

Next, Stern says that the legitimacy of the term "Islamic terrorism," is easy to defend. Yes, it is easy to defend on a factual, intellectually honest basis. However, it is indefensible in day-to-day political discourse. I am under the impression that America and Canada have not (yet) arrived where we are, at a point where any criticism of Islam and Muslims, however fact-based and restrained, comes under attack as "hate speech". Criticizing Islam in Germany is a hermit's profession. It has ostracizing consequences. One is either forced to lie or at least to remain quiet (which is an implied lie) or to restrict one's social contacts dramatically. This and this may serve as a reminder. I, personally, consider it partly as a good thing. It showed me at least that my choice of friends, made long before Islamisation or political correctness became an issue, was right. But I guess if one has small children and thus HAS to socialize with certain people, other parents, teachers, kindergarden teachers, come to mind, it must be hell.

Last, Stern says that "it's impossible to fix a problem when you deny it exists". Again, that is right, but it implies that there ARE people who have both, an interest in and the authority to fix the problem and I challenge everybody on earth to name ONE German who has both.

Case in point (among countless others) is the former Berlin senior prosecuting attorney Roman Reusch, who made two mistakes. In 2008, that was: He took a hard line bringing young criminals to justice and declared publicly that ca. 80% (eighty percent) of those are not ethnic Germans. The result? The Berlin government muzzled and then transfered him to a position where he surely couldn't do any more "harm". Meanwhile, the "no go areas" for the police in Berlin are thriving. Again: I challenge all the world to tell me ONE German who has both, an interest in AND the authority for fixing this problem.

Canada (America), I guess you are better off! See that it remains that way.

On the record now: Israel-hatred official German policy

On July 16, 2009, Horst Köhler, president of the Federal Republic of Germany, issued the Bundesverdienstkreuz Erster Klasse (Federal Cross of Merit, first class, no less) the highest civilian order of merit, to the Israeli lawyer Felicia Langer for her lifetime achievement. She lives in the old university town of Tübingen.

Felicia Langer was born in Poland of Jewish parents. Her family fled to Russia in 1939, where her father died in one of Stalins prisons. In 1950 she went to Israel where, in 1965, she obtained a law degree from Hebrew University. After the Six-Day-War in 1967, she set up a private practice in Jerusalem defending Palestinians. In 1990, Langer ended her law practice and left Israel to live in Germany, accepting a teaching position at Tübingen university. In an interview with The Washington Post, Langer said "I decided that I could not be a fig leaf for this system anymore. I want my quitting to be a sort of demonstration and expression of my despair and disgust with the system... because for the Palestinians unfortunately we cannot obtain justice." To live in the country of the people who tried to murder her and her people was obviously the better, and in a way a logical, option.

Langer's main public identity stems from her vocal criticism of Israel, whom she compares with apartheid-South Africa, she is known for having praised the antisemitic speech of Iranian President Ahmadinejad in Geneva at the Durban II UN conference on racism and could, with some justification, tell the Jerusalem Post that the Bundesverdienstkreuz is a "recognition of my work".

Because indeed it is.

Asked by the JP about her interview with the German antisemitic (what is called "anti-Zionist" for some time now) website Muslim Markt, in which she argued that leading Israeli politicians and generals should be charged and convicted with war crimes at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Langer replied that she considers Israeli representatives "war criminals" and that the "official translation" of Ahmadinejad's threat to "wipe Israel off the map" did not mean that Israel ought to be obliterated. President Köhler, when asked why he had awarded Langer with Germany’s highest civil award, remained silent and his press spokesman deferred the matter to the State Ministry in Baden-Württemberg, the federal state in which Tübingen is located. Uwe Köhn, a spokesman for the state of Baden-Württemberg, wrote in a mail to the JP that "the honor bestowed on Felicia Langer recognizes her humanitarian service, independent of political, ideological or religious motivation. Most important is her dedication to people in need, regardless of nationality or religion, given her own background as massively affected by the Holocaust. The decision to present the Order of Merit was made on the recommendation of the Lord Mayor of Tübingen, where Ms. Langer lives, with confirmation from all the usual departments involved in bestowing such honors, including the Foreign Ministry."

If it's through official channels it's alright. And to be honest, worse things than bestowing an award to somebody unworthy have been done this way in Germany.

According to Langer, the governor of Baden-Württemberg, Günther Oettinger, a Christian Democrat, praised her work in a letter and congratulated her on receiving the award, which is both, funny haha and funny peculiar (but then, maybe not), because Oettinger is the man who tried to turn his odious predecessor Filbinger from an old Nazi into a resistance fighter. We reported in 2007.

Even Dieter Graumann, Vice President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, an organisation whose method of representing Jews in Germany can be aptly described as bidding for tickets on the next train to Auschwitz, had enough and stated that "Ms. Langer just a few months ago called the German Chancellor’s positive attitude toward Israel 'scandalous'. Now Langer is suddenly getting a Federal Cross of Merit- that’s a fatal signal, recognizing and legitimizing her fully one-sided agitation against Israel” and "Is this the introduction of a new fashion? Whoever criticizes Israel the loudest - especially if they are Jewish - is first in line for the Federal Cross of Merit?" Which may be a rhetorical, but nevertheless legitimate, question and can be safely answered with a resounding: "Very probably".

The lifetime achivement of Felicia Langer is remarkable indeed, from the winning of the "Right Livelihood Award" (shadows of Nazi-money looming) via the Human Rights Award of the "Gesellschaft zum Schutz von Bürgerrecht und Menschenwürde" (a collecting tank -- or rather cesspool -- for former StaSi-staff and other Stalinist cadre) to the preface she wrote for the book of Germano-Syrian (or is it Syrio-German?) antisemite Jamal Karsli, somebody we introduced in 2007 already as well.

However, nothing unmasks the German obsession with Jews coupled with a stubborn determination to remain staunchly at their side as long as they are safely dead or suicidal, better than Boris Palmer, the Green Party mayor in Tübingen, who had, like so many German Gutmenschen, previously played down Iran’s genocidal threats toward Israel. In a public email-exchange with Henryk. M. Broder, where he stated that Langer was criticising Israel "among other things", he had the nerve to thematize his own Jewish ancestry, to which Broder replied:

Frau Langer doesn't criticize Israel "among other things" but Israel ONLY. Has Frau Langer ever had anything to say about the treatment of women in Saudi-Arabia? Of homosexuals in Iran? Is there a statement from her regarding Chechnya or Georgia? Sri Lanka or Darfur? Has she ever risked to say a word about the persecution of the Baha'i? Expressed solidarity with the Tibetans or Uighurs? For all that she gives, upright and honest as she is, a rat's ass.

The only object of her obsession is Israel. Because only this obsession is so highly marketable in Germany.

You, Herr Palmer, are a bandwagon-jumper of this boom when you are writing: "I say that as the grandson of a Jew...".

So you are a quarter- or one-eighth Jew -- according to what, the Nuremberg Laws or the halacha? And what does that imply? Does a quarter- or one-eighth Jew have a different world view? What do you think, as a quarter Jew, of the commuter tax relief? What is your stance, as a one-eighth Jew, regarding the bottle deposit?

When I did the modest research for this entry, I didn't know that I'd meet quite a few old acquaintances in the process. However, really amazing it isn't. A cesspool is a cesspool is a cesspool, even if it tries to pass itself off as a perfume factory.

A Tale of Two 31-Year Old Mothers

The repercussions for all of Germany following the murder of a 31-year old Muslim woman from Egypt by a passport-German from Russia in a German courtroom are remarkable and dramatic and remarkably dramatic. All honour killings and other crimes within the Muslim counter-culture, all killings, mutilations and beatings-up of Germans by our Muslim "culture enrichers" are, as far as they got any attention at all, forgotten. They were "isolated cases" anway, whereas for this, really isolated, case all Germans are held responsible, a crime committed by a man who wasn't even socialised within the evil "islamophobic" German culture.

Indeed, the media echo is stunning. A quick Google-search just for the name of the victim reveals amazing results. "Martyr", "headscarf" and "pregnant" are the feeds that mainly catch the eye. Of course, the German results are almost identical, with the German equivalents of "hate crime" and "racism" thrown in.

All of Germany is wallowing orgasmically, like swine wallow in dirt, in their own moral squalor. They love that.

And moral squalor it is indeed, just not in the way they see it.

The secretaries of both, the Central Council of Jews, convertite Stephan Kramer, and the Central Council Muslims in Germany, Aiman Mazyek, had the mutual enemy quickly identified and visited the widower together to express their sincere hypocrisy.

The French Figaro, so Gudrun Eussner informs me, quotes in today's print issue on page 7 the same Aiman Mazyek who states that "total (sic!) religious freedom" must be defended, part of which is the wearing of the headscarf:..."liberté réligieuse totale, dont fait partie le port du voile."

Has anybody still any doubt that we in the West are in a total (sic!) and global war with Islam?

Even such experts on human rights like Mahmud Ahmadinejad and the Iranian Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution (SCCR) chimed in, the latter issuing a statement saying the murder of Marwa al-Sherbini in Germany demonstrated the West’s disrespect to human rights.

And nobody laughed.

The most revealing aspect was, however, that even such an obscene extravaganza of German self-hatred and submission wasn't enough for the trailblazing whips (or rather: "whippettes") of dhimmitude. Andrea Dernbach, who has proven her ethical depth and moral prowess already by a justification of sex with children to clear Islam of the suspicion of homophobia, asked under the header "Germany's new hatred": "Why does the death of a woman wearing a headscarf – who wasn’t the victim of a so-called “honour killing” – spark so little interest in Germany?"

So far, so bad, but lately we seem even to export that specific brand of Islam-adoring journalettes, maybe because whatever Germans do, they do thoroughly. And indeed, under the even more incredible header "A murder that Germany ignored" a woman with a German-sounding name whines (in the Al Guardian, no less!) about what must be, I don't have any other explanation, the figment of an oestrogen-addled brain, and doesn't even shy away from repeating an outlandish, preposterous accusation from the Muslim media:

They [the German media] could have asked – as an Egyptian did – why Marwa's husband, while he was trying to help his wife, was shot and wounded by a policeman in the courtroom. Because he was not blond-haired?

I am not a prolific letter-to-the-editor-writer, but this time I couldn't help myself:

Your name suggests that you can read German. So you either have an agenda or you are out of your mind. The German media is, since that crime happened, in an orgiastic, self-hating frenzy. "Germans! She died for your sins!" And you are SERIOUSLY selling the above drivel to an unsuspecting Guardian readership? The day the countless ethnic Germans who are beaten to a pulp or killed by our Muslim culture enrichers get at least a fifth of the media attention this case got and it still getting, I will stop worrying what makes people like you tick.

Elsewhere, in Iran, the 31-year-old mother of two, Mohabat Mahmodi, will be executed within the next couple of days, because she killed her rapist in self-defense.*

And nobody cares. They are all too busy being outraged by German islamophobia.

Happy Fourth of July

No-go area for Americans this weekend:

July 3-6: U.S. personnel in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area on the Fourth of July weekend are advised to maintain an elevated situational awareness and increased vigilance in and around areas where U.S. and other military personnel are known to gather, such as restaurants, bars or other venues which coincide with ongoing celebrations.

Background: Authorities are worried that a "German group" might be going to "seek revenge" for an "incident" at a local nightclub. US-citizens are asked by the Munich Consulate General and the German police to, so to say, watch their backs this weekend. A speaker of the Polizeipräsidium Oberbayern-Süd at Rosenheim stated that the situation is "being taken seriously" and that the security measures will be stepped up accordingly.

What had happened? According to information from the magazine "Focus online" and the daily "Münchner Merkur", the "incident" late in June had in fact been an encounter between a civilian employee of the U.S. Army and a, as the politically correct jargon goes, "German of Turkish origin". One of the "Germano-Turks" involved was said to have threatened the American to come back within the next couple of days to take revenge.

And that's why Americans better avoid now one of the most gorgeous holiday resorts in Europe.
