One More Time

Hillary Rodham Clinton is unfit to hold any political office which requires security clearance.

Before leaving the topic of yesterday's blog post "Extremely Careless" Hillary Clinton, please read How the FBI director systematically dismantled Hillary Clinton’s email defense (Washington Post, July 5, 2016), reproduced in its entirety below the fold and worth your time if you give one whit about the truth:
FBI Director James B. Comey’s remarks Tuesday about Hillary Clinton’s email use while she was secretary of state directly contradicted much of what Clinton had said publicly about the issue.

Here’s how Comey’s statements stack up against Clinton’s explanations.

Did Clinton send or receive classified material using her private setup?

What Clinton said:

March 10, 2015: “I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email.”

July 2, 2016: “Let me repeat what I have repeated for many months now. I never received nor sent any material that was marked classified.”...

Why Aren't We Hearing More About This?

Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil

Z's post today reminded me of this February 5, 2016 article, which I've cited numerous times in comments but possibly not in the body of a blog post: DHS ordered me to scrub records of Muslims with terror ties.

In a national address on June 14, 2016, Barack Hussein Obama evinced more ire directed at Donald Trump than toward the murderous jihadists who slaughtered 49 people and wounded many others in Orlando's Pulse Nightclub on June 12, 2016.

Meanwhile: ISIS propaganda video exploits Orlando nightclub murders and calls for more attacks on US.

The White House And Ebola

Here's the official position: White House: No Ebola travel restrictions

Insanity!

BTW, at Always On Watch, there is a thread about Ebola. If interested, please stop by to read the blog post and some of the comments.

Immigration And National Security

Among the points made in the video below is that public health is a matter of national security:

Not so long ago, I would have said, "This man is a paranoid nut!"

But now we who are awake have seen too much to declare that almost anything nefarious is an accident or unintentional. Furthermore, we have certainly seen played out over and over again the Law of Unintended Consequences.

If this retired Border Patrol officer is only half right, the United States is screwed.

Schools all over the United States open in a few short weeks. I wonder what the state of our nation's public health will be by Christmas?

Meanwhile, In NYC

From WTOP, dated April 16, 2014:
New York police disband unit that spied on Muslims

...An ongoing review of the division by new Police Commissioner William Bratton found that the same information collected by the unit could be better collected through direct contact with community groups, officials said....
Taqiyya alert? Not likely.

Note the following paragraph:
In Washington, 34 members of Congress had demanded a federal investigation into the NYPD's actions. Attorney General Eric Holder said he was disturbed by reports about the operations, and the Department of Justice said it was reviewing complaints received from Muslims and their supporters.
Yep, the Obama administration had a hand in this.

This wasn't enough to wake America the hell up:

Tammy Swofford Commentary: "Jefferson in PRISM — I"

From the Daily Times Pakistan, Tammy Swofford reminds us of the dystopian dangers of absolute national security:
On May 25, 2013, the government very quietly removed an elderly gentleman from the sidewalk in front of the Independence Hall in Philadelphia. He had set up a small display with the original documents known as The Declaration of Independence and The United States Constitution. They rested on hand carved wooden easels on either side of the entrance to the building. Those who passed by were impressed by the genteel manner of the man. Perhaps more startling was the phrase that he kept repeating again and again: “Ignorance is preferable to error; and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing, than he who believes what is wrong.”

As the white-haired gentleman hailed from a private estate known as Monticello, he was remanded to the custody of the Virginia State Police and is now housed at an undisclosed location. Although there is nearly a complete media embargo on the peculiarities of this arrest, small factoids about the case are finding their way into a network of underground reporters who have managed to evade the surveillance of the state. A profile and extensive dossier had previously been constructed by the NSA and CIA on this particular citizen. He possessed a powerful intellect and strong command of the English language. At an earlier date, he had been heavily recruited to join the growing ranks of his powerful analytical peers. His subsequent protest was categorised as one of imminent threat to the intelligence-gathering capabilities of the security apparatus.

Interestingly, the technology that has allowed for the NSA PRISM programme is the same technology that has diminished any real public support for the elderly man who quietly went about his work as a sentinel. A new generation feeds on a virtual reality inhabited by avatars and unpredictable friends. Technological advances have placed increasingly complex global networking capabilities within the hands of the masses. This seems like empowerment. But a more subtle side to the technology has been exposed. A public poll assessing interest in the aforementioned arrest determined that 45 percent of Americans polled had little concern for the man on the sidewalk. In fact, they believed that the PRISM programme should be expanded. The conclusion is self-evident. This technology used by the masses is nimble in its psychological enslavement capabilities. For the unaware, it captures and enslaves the intricate reasoning processes necessary to understand concepts such as human liberty, right to privacy, and protection from unlawful seizure. Mildred Montag and a seashell to the ear. Fahrenheit 451.

PRISM. Bellum omnium in omnia.

One of the white-haired gentleman’s jailers, a rather brave fellow by the name of Edward Snowden, agreed to smuggle some of the private papers of this man into an underground media network. These papers were stored on a flash drive that was hidden in the heel of his boot. He assured the jailer that a forensic sweep of his private papers from his laptop at home had already been accomplished on more than one occasion. As I bring this report to you, the status of the jailer is also unknown. He is no longer available for updates on the physical condition of the prisoner. But he is known to be in a weakened state. So today, I release to you a few of the thoughts of this prisoner, delivered to me in a parking garage in Dallas. These are his words. His name is Thomas Jefferson....

Food For Thought About The NSA Whistle Blower

Last paragraph from this source in the Washington Post essay "Has the US become the type of nation from which you have to seek asylum?":
There’s no question that the United States has stronger protections for free speech and the rule of law than repressive regimes like China or Iran. But it’s also clear that our courts defend constitutional rights less zealously today than they did in Ellsberg’s day. Snowden wasn’t crazy to question whether he’d be treated fairly by the American justice system.

National Insecurity

According to The Last Refuge (hat tip to Right Truth):
Julia Davis is a former DHS officer/supervisor for Customs and Border Protection turned “Whistleblower” who, in an effort to suppress her story and discredit her, was labelled a “domestic terrorist” and persecuted to a breathtaking extent.

1. Isolate

2. Ridicule

3. Marginalize

Her crime? She had evidence about potential terrorists entering the country on July 4, 2004 and her attempts to report her concerns “up the chain” were ignored because the intelligence department was having a unit social event barbeque – so she reported her concerns to the FBI instead about border crossers that fit the profile outlined in an alert to the Border Patrol. Her report to the FBI was viewed by DHS as a disloyal “whistleblower”.

[...]

CBS “60 Minutes” interviewed Julia Davis at length – and then cancelled the scheduled airing...
A different interview of Julia Davis is below:

Big Brother Has Arrived

Or so says NSA whistleblower William Binney:

Brief excerpt from the transcript:
RT: It seems that the public is divided between those, who think that the government surveillance program violates their civil liberties, and those who say, 'I’ve nothing to hide. So, why should I care?' What do you say to those who think that it shouldnt concern them.

WB: The problem is if they think they are not doing anything that’s wrong, they don’t get to define that. The central government does, the central government defines what is right and wrong and whether or not they target you. So, it’s not up to the individuals. Even if they think they aren't doing something wrong, if their position on something is against what the administration has, then they could easily become a target.

Obama waives anti-terror requirements for aid to Pakistan, keeps the jizya flowing

"Pakistan freed of anti-terrorism obligations; U.S. billions flow instead," by Jonathan S. Landay for the McClatchy Newspapers:
WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration has refused for the first time to declare that Pakistan is making progress toward ending alleged military support for Islamic militant groups or preventing al Qaida, the Afghan Taliban or other extremists from staging attacks in Afghanistan.
Even so, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has quietly informed Congress that she’s waived the legal restrictions that would have blocked some $2 billion in U.S. economic and military aid to Pakistan. Disbursing the funds, she said in an official notice, is “important to the national security interests of the United States.”
Clinton’s decision illustrates how far the administration apparently has determined that it must go, after a near-breakdown in relations, to ensure Pakistan’s cooperation in the uphill U.S. effort to prevent Afghanistan collapsing into all-out civil war when American-led international combat forces complete a withdraw by the end of 2014....
“The army is going to think that no matter how angry the Americans are at them, they are utterly indispensable and they can violate in any way, shape or form U.S. law and the United States will massage its law to accommodate them,” said assistant professor Christine Fair, an expert at Georgetown University. “That’s how they are going to read this.”...

Laura Callahan On The Cybersecurity Team?

Another story for the you-can't-make-this-stuff-up file (hat tip to Bunkerville):
An elite team of computer technicians assembled by the Obama administration to protect Pentagon networks from cyberattack shockingly includes a former Clinton official who "lost" thousands of archived emails under subpoena and who more recently left the Department of Homeland Security under an ethical cloud related to her qualifications, WND has learned.

The administration in May quietly hired Laura Callahan for a sensitive post at the U.S. Cyber Command, a newly created agency set up to harden military networks as part of an effort to prevent a "cyberspace version of Pearl Harbor."

The move raises doubts about the administration's vetting process for sensitive security positions. In 2004, Callahan was forced to resign from Homeland Security after a congressional investigation revealed she committed résumé fraud and lied about her computer credentials....
An error on the part of the Obama administration or a calculated move?

Damn, I sound like a conspiracy theorist.

But I tell you this: so much insecurity is being put into place under the present Obama regime that America is going to suffer unimaginably before we get this man and his cohorts out of office.

Just When You Thought That Political Correctness Couldn't Get Any Crazier...

...along comes THIS:
UK: Plastic bags to be put over "terror cameras" to avoid offending Muslims

Bags are to be put over scores of surveillance cameras in parts of Birmingham with large Muslim populations, after local objections.

Mug shots of the New Jersey jihadists

Would you have, ever in your life, believed these guys were Jihadists? Who woulda thunk it?

Carlos “Omar” Almonte & Mohamed Alessa

And then, there's this:

Jawa Exclusive: NJ Jihadist Carlos Almonte is the “DEATH TO ALL JUICE” genius

Jawa Report — This weekend the FBI picked up two New Jersey men at JFK airport who were intending to find their way to Somalia to train in Al-Shabaab terror camps. According to the indictment unsealed Sunday, one of the men, Carlos Almonte, said that he wanted to send Americans home “in caskets.” According to the NY Post, he also boasted, “I’m gonna get a gun. I’m the type of person to use it anytime . . . I’ll have more bodies on it than . . . the hairs on my beard. You know what I’m saying? It’s already enough that you don’t worship Allah, so . . . that’s a reason for you to die.”
But we can reveal exclusively here at Jawa that Carlos Almonte was the infamous “Death to all Juice” guy. .

COPYCAT MUSLIM

Lubbock airline contract employee arrested for bomb threat

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A contract employee who worked at Preston Smith International Airport was arrested by FBI agents late Wednesday at his home on charges in a federal indictment alleging he threatened to bomb an airplane.

20-year-old Johnathan Ivins cleaned airplanes for one of the airlines operating out of the airport.

The indictment states that on April 1st, Ivins posted a YouTube comment stating that he intended to place a "destructive device" on an airplane. According to a news release from United States Attorney James T. Jacks, his comment was:

"I'm building a bomb as you speak. I work at the airport as a Technician. I go inspect planes and get paid $20 an Hour. You think you won. Well I got plans for implanting a 10 hour bomb in one of the vents. Hahahahaha when that plane goes boom you'll know what I'm talking about. I don't care if I get caught. They call me the hero. Your asses is going down I'm just waiting for the right time. I'm also implanting an another bomb somewhere in a big city. Plus there's muslim country's who want to destroy the American satellites. I look too much of american but I have a quarter of a muslim in me plus 1/16 of a jew in me so. Don't worry you'll go your turn f...... Yankee doodle dandy."

Ivins is charged with one count of imparting and conveying false information regarding the destruction of an aircraft, one count of making a bomb threat and one count of false information and hoaxes.

If convicted, the bomb threat count carries a maximum statutory sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Each of the other two counts carries a maximum statutory sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, upon conviction.

The case is being investigated by the FBI and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Dick Baker of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Lubbock, Texas.

Ivins will make his first appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Nancy M. Koenig Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.

It Ain't Just That Fucking Southern Border We Need To Secure!

Does anyone remember this from a few years ago? And the millenium bomber didn't come up from Tijuana.

So if they're a threat to Canada, they're a threat to us as well.

Jihadwatch:

Canada: Over 200 under surveillance by counterterror officials
So... how many are Methodists? "200 terror suspects in Canada," by Bryn Weese for the Toronto Sun, May 12 (thanks to Paul):

OTTAWA - Canada's spy agency is keeping tabs on more than 200 people within
the country it says are suspected terrorists.

Richard Fadden, the director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, told the parliamentary public safety committee Tuesday that his clandestine organization's "No. 1 priority" is protecting Canadians from the "threat of al-Qaida, its affiliates and its adherents."

"In that regard, I can say that as of this month, CSIS is investigating over 200 individuals in this country whose activities meet the definition of terrorism as set out in the (Anti-Terrorism) act," Fadden said, adding they are also monitoring people
abroad.

"It is also worth mentioning that the service maintains an active interest in the threat-related activities of a number of non-citizens who have ties to Canada, whether through former residence here or family links."

Since the terrorism attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the spy agency's budget has
skyrocketed 72%, and Fadden said 45% of its overall budget is spent on
"counter-terrorism" in Canada and internationally.

But the idea there are more than 200 people in Canada whose activities are
technically terrorism doesn't worry Public Safety Minister Vic Toews.

"I think it's a credit to CSIS in terms of the work that they are doing monitoring certain individuals," Toews said. It's clear that there is a concern by CSIS and by other organizations that there is a radicalization occurring among certain individuals and that we need to take steps to ensure that Canadians are safe.

"I am confident in my briefings with CSIS that they have a good understanding of what is happening in Canada in that respect."

FBI Conducting Raids in Connection With Times Square Bomb Plot in Boston Area

You mean there might be more Jihadis involved? Shocker.

More disillusioned Muslims upset over the economy and loss of the American-dream, no doubt…

(Boston Herald)- Federal agents today executed search warrants in Watertown and other locations across the Northeast in connection with the investigation into the attempted May 1 Times Square bombing, said Warren T. Bamford, Boston FBI Special Agent in Charge.

FBI agents are also on scene at a Harvard Street Mobil gas station and used car lot in Brookline at this hour, but it is unclear whether the activity is related to the Times Square probe.

“We can confirm that search warrants have been executed in several locations in the Northeast in connection with the investigation into the attempted Times Square bombing,” Bamford said. “A number of individuals encountered during the searches were taken into federal custody for alleged immigration violations.“

Bamford said the searches “are the product of evidence that has been gathered in the investigation subsequent to the attempted Times Square bombing and do not relate to any known immediate threat to the public or active plot against the United States."

Obama and Napolitano decide to slash New York anti-terrorism funds 11 days after Times Square bomb try

WASHINGTON (NY Daily News) - The Department of Homeland Security decided Wednesday to go through with cuts to New York anti-terrorism funding, just 11 days after the Times Square car bombing attempt.

Rep. Pete King's office said the final DHS budget decision for the year gives the New York City area $111 million for transit security - a 27% cut from last year's funding of $153 million.

Also, the port security program for the metro-area is area is getting chopped from $45 million to $33.8 million - a cut of 25%.

The cuts had been proposed before but King said he thought that after the botched bombing attempt in Times Square - a literal crossroad and major transit hub - that officials would reconsider.

"The fact that the Obama administration would cut New York's homeland security funding just 11 days after the Times Square car bomb attempt is dangerous and unconscionable," the Long Island Republican said.

"The threat against New York City, the top target of al-Qaeda, is increasing, not decreasing. In fact, since 9/11, New York City has been the target of at least 11 foiled terror plots. Yet the Obama Administration is inexplicably slashing New York's homeland security funding," he said.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) joined the chorus of outrage.

"For the administration to announce these cuts two weeks after the attempted Times Square bombing shows they just don't get it and are not doing right by New York City on anti-terrorism funding," he said, "Instead of distributing funding all over the country, they should focus their attention where the greatest threat exists -- right here in New York."

Supreme Court Closing Iconic "And Justice For All" Front Entrance

... over security concerns.

From AP:

WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court is closing its iconic front entrance beneath the words "Equal Justice Under Law."

Beginning Tuesday, visitors no longer will ascend the wide marble steps to enter the 75-year-old building. Instead, they will be directed to a central screening facility to the side of and beneath the central steps that was built to improve the court's security as part of a $122 million renovation.

Two justices, Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, called the change unfortunate and unjustified.

Breyer said no other high court in the world, not even Israel's, has closed its front entrance over security concerns.

He said the main entrance and front steps "are not only a means to, but also a metaphor for, access to the court itself."

Sometimes the news is more than just the new stories, and is, instead, an almost Biblical comment on our times.

CNN: Official: TSA ramping up security measures at East Coast Airports

The Transportation Security Administration on Sunday ramped up security screening at airports along the East Coast after an attempted car bombing a day earlier in New York's Times Square, a Department of Homeland Security official said.

The official told CNN the TSA has begun operations to counter potential car bombs, or "vehicle-born improvised explosive devices," as well as taking measures to prevent other kinds of terrorist acts that might occur in crowded public spaces.

The TSA also is coordinating with Customs and Border Protection to facilitate additional secondary passenger screening on both domestic and international flights, the official said.

Officials in Washington participated in a call with top TSA officials at airports in New York, Boston and Philadelphia to talk about partnering with Customs to identify flights that might need more random screening, the official said.
