Joe Biden has a problem, and his name is Hunter. Because the former vice president hasn’t had to answer any questions on this topic, that problem could soon become America’s.
That’s the reality now that a former business partner of Hunter Biden’s has come forward to provide the ugly details of the “family brand.” Tony Bobulinski, a Navy veteran and institutional investor, has provided the Journal emails and text messages associated with his time as CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, a venture between the Bidens and CEFC China Energy, a Shanghai-based conglomerate. That correspondence corroborates and expands on emails recently published by the New York Post, which says they come from a Hunter laptop. . . .
Joe Biden claims he has never discussed his son’s business. Yet a May 2017 “expectations” document shows Hunter receiving 20% of the equity in the venture and holding another 10% for “the big guy”—who Mr. Bobulinski attests is Joe Biden.
In one text, Hunter says that “my Chairman gave an emphatic NO” to a version of the deal. Mr. Walker, Hunter’s partner, explains in a text to Mr. Bobulinski that when Hunter “said his chairman he was talking about his dad.”
Mr. Bobulinski’s texts show he even met with Joe Biden. Mr. Gilliar reminds him in May 2017: “Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u are face to face, I know u know that but they are paranoid.” . . .
All of this is news. The press corps that is ignoring it spent four years writing about Donald Trump’s Moscow business. The correspondence meanwhile blows up Rep. Adam Schiff’s claim that the Hunter story is Russian “disinformation.” It raises real concerns about what security risks Hunter might pose for a Biden administration. And it raises questions about Joe Biden’s involvement.
NPR and the WaPo won’t cover it, though, because they’re too busy reporting on Biden’s plans for the White House sock drawers. And to be fair, pretty much everything they reported about Trump’s business was wrong.

The Newsmax host, Greg Kelly, asked Mr. Davis, “When did you first notice Donald Trump as a guy to be admired and someone who could help out your community?” He responded, “When he first got elected. I was really happy when he came to Flint in the midst of our water crisis,” Davis responded, adding, “And he came to our side of town. I was very impressed with President Trump—when he was running.”
Kelly asked Davis if he remembers when President Trump spoke directly to the Black community, when he asked them, “What the hell do you have to lose?” Davis told Kelly, he remembered, and that he thought President Trump was speaking directly to his constituency.
“We are an impoverished community,” he explained, adding, “Nobody cares about the Blacks in Flint, but Mr. Trump gave us a lot of hope,” Davis told explained how he’s actually seen the results of the Trump administration trying to help them, while other politicians, like Barack Obama, have only offered lip service to the poor residents of Flint.
He explained, “Since President Trump was elected, Sec. of State Ben Carson brought over $30 million to the city of Flint,” adding, “Obama been here— he said our water is fine, you know—ain’t nothing wrong with drinking lead! And Mr. Trump tried to do something about that!”
The VP of the Flint City Council doubled down and said about Trump, “He’s outstanding. He don’t care what nobody say, he stays focused on what needs to be done—I admire that!” Davis pushed back on the false narrative that Trump is a racist, telling the Newsmax host, “I wish other black folks would get on board because the man ain’t racist no kind of way—I never met him personally, but I go by your actions—and I don’t play!”
