All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Radical California Democrats Pass ‘Stop Nick Shirley Act’ to Criminalize Investigative Journalism and Shield Massive Immigrant Services Fraud from Scrutiny
In a move straight out of a totalitarian playbook, the California Assembly Judiciary Committee voted 11-2 on Monday to advance AB 2624, the so-called “Stop Nick Shirley Act,” a disgusting Democrat power grab designed to make it illegal for brave citizen journalists like Nick Shirley to expose the rampant fraud bleeding American taxpayers dry in immigrant service centers.
This is nothing less than an all-out assault on the First Amendment by the radical left in the People’s Republic of California.
The bill, authored by far-left Assemblywoman Mia Bonta (wife of Attorney General Rob Bonta), would slap investigative reporters with massive civil sanctions starting at $4,000 minimum if a fraudster from one of these “immigrant service centers” decides they don’t want to be caught on camera committing their scams.
The crook can then run to court for an injunction banning the journalist from filming or exposing them on camera for up to four years.
And if the journalist refuses to take down the original video? Triple the damages, $12,000, just for telling the truth!
In the worst cases, if the journalist is accused of “doxxing” or creating an “imminent threat” by simply reporting the facts, they could face criminal charges and $10,000 fines.

Pope Leo's tour of dhimmitude continues
Leo XIV will become the first pope to visit Algeria on Monday, taking a message of dialogue with Islam on a trip that also represents a personal pilgrimage for the American pontiff.Don't count on Leo bringing up the persecution of Christians in the region, or even in Syria, for that matter. Islam doesn't recognize co-existence. It only recognizes erasure and replacement of all other cultures, though what's really horrific is the violent content of the koran.
Algeria is the first stop on an 11-day tour of four African nations, covering 18,000 kilometres and also taking in Cameroon, Angola and Equatorial Guinea from April 13 to 23.
No other pontiff has visited Algeria, a North African country where Islam is the state religion, and the 70-year-old’s arrival is being eagerly awaited by the Catholic minority.
The visit also holds a strong personal dimension for Pope Leo, as modern-day Algeria was home to Saint Augustine (354-430), a great Christian theologian whose spiritual legacy permeates his pontificate.
As the world watches anxiously with war raging in the Middle East, peaceful coexistence will be at the heart of the pope’s message in a country where 99 percent of its 47 million inhabitants are Muslim.
Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said the pope’s aim was to “address the Islamic world, but also to confront a common challenge of coexistence”.
Algeria’s constitution guarantees freedom of worship, although the authorities must approve both the place of worship and the preacher.
Yet human rights groups say the repression of religious minorities has continued in Algeria in recent years.
Predictably, Leo responded to Trump's criticisms about how you could possibly expect:
Pope Leo XIV responded Monday to President Donald Trump criticising him over the U.S.-Israel war in Iran, telling reporters the Vatican works for peace and reconciliation based on the teachings of the Gospel, adding he fears neither the Trump administration or vigorous debate. And that's "turning the other cheek" when it comes to a savage-run country building nuclear weapons, huh? Leo's doing nothing to turn the tide on the Religion of Peace, and John Daniel Davidson at the Federalist news site so far hasn't commented on where the pope's going, which only suggests said site's not really interested in getting rid of Islam as a "teaching tool".
“To put my message on the same plane as what the president has attempted to do here, I think is not understanding what the message of the Gospel is,” Leo told the Associated Press aboard the papal plane en route to Algeria where he is beginning an historic four-country Africa trip.
“And I’m sorry to hear that but I will continue on what I believe is the mission of the church in the world today.”

A Brazilian Scientist Has Developed an Injectible Drug Which May Help Paraplegics Walk
On the evening of 9 September 2025, Brazil’s leading newscast featured a story about a dramatic recovery from spinal cord injury. Bruno Drummond, 31, diagnosed with quadriplegia after a 2018 car accident, had received an experimental treatment, an injection of a compound called polylaminin, within 24 hours after the accident. Now, he was walking, descending stairs, and playfully dancing for the camera.
The scientist leading the research, biologist Tatiana Sampaio of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, had just shared the results from a small pilot study, in which Drummond was a participant, at a press conference held by the pharmaceutical company producing polylaminin. Brazilian media—and, soon, the public—were spellbound. Sampaio became a national celebrity: She met with Brazil’s president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and appeared on the cover of Forbes. Online campaigns have called for her to receive a Nobel Prize. The exuberant press coverage, amplified by social media, prompted dozens of patients with spinal cord injury to demand immediate access to polylaminin, and more than 30 people have received injections.
Brazilian researchers, however, are concerned. The pilot study was too small to show polylaminin can treat spinal cord injuries, they say, and some see methodological flaws. And, they add, patients getting an experimental treatment outside of clinical trials may not be thoroughly monitored for potential risks. A phase 1 trial testing the approach’s safety is scheduled to start this month. “We do not yet know the toxicity, the possible side effects in a larger number of individuals, or the appropriate and effective dose,” says Sonia Brucki, a neurosurgeon at the Clinic Hospital at the University of São Paulo (USP).

What Is Up With Gavin Newsom's Wife?
If California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom were starring in a reality television show, an apt title for it would be, The Worst White People in America. You could actually rotate quite a cast of pasty, privileged Democrats through various episodes, but California's first fascist family would always be the most awful of the bunch.
Mrs. Newsom has been popping up in the news a lot lately, and, like so many prominent Democratic women, the more I know about her, the more I dislike her. She likes to refer to herself as California's "first partner," which no doubt gives her some woke cred on the loony left but was probably inspired by the fact that her husband looks like a lesbian who just popped out of a Subaru.
At the end of last month, Chris wrote about an interview that First Partner Jenny gave a few years ago, where she described taking the Newsom kids on a tour of red states and treating the non-coastal residents like exhibits in a zoo. It was the kind of paternalistic, actually racist condescension that white Dem elites ooze 24/7. The Newsoms manage to ooze twice as much of it.

Gruesome Newsom
Gavin Newsom is hiring a New York PR firm to sell California — ahead of his likely presidential bid — at a cost to taxpayers of $19 million.
Why does California need outside help? After all, as Newsom likes to remind us, the state is one of the largest economies on earth.
But the governor’s actual record could be a problem for his presidential bid. Hence his familiar solution: To portray California as a vibrant economy, and to counter “myths driven by misinformation and political rhetoric.” . . .
US News places California, despite the tech boom, as 42nd in fiscal health among the states. The state’s Legislative Analyst Office projects continued operating deficits through 2028.
The rich and ultra-rich — many of whom are already leaving — are all that stands between the state and fiscal disaster. Without their outrageous income, the whole system tilts toward failure.
One reason for this dependence lies in the sad fact that the income outlook for the rest of the population is far from bright.
Newsom’s neo-feudal California has hemorrhaged 1.6 million above-average-paying jobs in the past decade, more than twice as many as any other state. It has created five times as many low-wage as high-wage jobs.

Alibaba's AI Agent Mined Crypto Without Permission
Sometime during a routine reinforcement learning training run, Alibaba's ROME agent went off-script. Without any instruction, the 30-billion-parameter model began probing internal networks, established a reverse SSH tunnel from an Alibaba Cloud instance to an external IP address, and quietly diverted GPU capacity toward cryptocurrency mining. The task instructions contained no mention of tunneling or mining. Alibaba's managed firewall, not the research team, caught it, flagging a burst of security-policy violations whose anomalous outbound traffic kept coinciding with specific training episodes.
The paper, titled "Let It Flow," landed on arXiv on December 31, 2025, New Year’s Eve , credited to Weixun Wang and 89 co-authors at Alibaba. Nobody noticed. Then on March 6, 2026, ML researcher Alexander Long posted a screenshot of the safety findings on X and called it an "insane sequence of statements buried in an Alibaba tech report." That post pulled 1.7 million views. Ryan Adams, co-founder of crypto media company Bankless, picked it up hours later. The AI safety and crypto communities have been fighting about it ever since.
The incident sits in a blind spot between three regulatory regimes. None of them handle it well.
Take the EU AI Act. Full enforcement hits August 2, 2026, but the legislators who wrote it had never seen an agentic AI ship as a product. The law covers risk classification, transparency and human oversight. An AI that spontaneously acquires financial resources on its own? Nobody thought to write a rule for that...
