Widespread sexual frustration among Egypt's youths

A news ignored by the Egyptian media but brought out by Egyptian bloggers.

Egyptians are horrified by the news that women have been assaulted by hordes of young men in the centre of the capital, Cairo.

The incidents were first reported online by Egyptian bloggers, some of whom saw large number of men harassing the women and ripping off their clothes.

It all happened over the Eid al-Fitr period staring on 23 October, as thousands of young men thronged the streets of central Cairo to celebrate the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

One blogger who took pictures of what happened dubbed the incidents "sexual voracity down town".

According to the bloggers, the attackers targeted veiled as well as unveiled women who happened to be on their own.

The state media ignored the incidents, but ordinary Egyptians where shocked when they heard for the first time eyewitness accounts broadcast on the private television channel Dream.

More and pictures here.

I don't understand why this would happen, I mean it's not as these youths can't have 'normal' contact with females or something right?

It's all that uncovered meat. Someone probably had one of those wrists showing or something

On a related note, a Thai friend told me that the people who want the most perverted sex at the Thai brothels are the muslims. He was a mango grower, so his statements are pretty much hearsay, but I still tend to believe it. Here's an interesting project for some social science researcher: a journal article titled "Religious Determinants of Perversion in Thai Brothels" followed by an article just too dull for anyone to read.

Gee, funny thing... there must have been 10,000 nubile young females running around Salem last night in French maid / vampire hooker / parochial schoolgirl uniform / retro Madonna costumes (OK, a few were guys but so what?) and at least an equal number of drunk teenage males and so far as I know, nobody got raped. You would think in our "decadent" culture the guys could at least keep up with a bunch of frustrated Egyptian movie fans. Oh yeah, but then there's the fact that the cops in Salem actually take protecting people seriously, even "uncovered meat".

Here's a depressing article on the campaign of Muslim attacks on women in Eurabia, where 'uncovered meat' is gang-raped then scarred with a smiley by cutting from mouth to ear:
