Kobe Bryant: Infidel Of The Week

Check the has the must see video HERE.

It's pretty moving to watch a pampered professional jock show more patriotism than the Democratic candidate for president, more pride in his country than the democratic candidate's wife, and more awareness of this country's opportunities than a liberal NBC announcer.

Kobe Bryant tells liberal NBC host that its OK to be patriotic and support your country.

Last night typical liberal tool and NBC announcer Chris Collinsworth interviewed Kobe Bryant of Team U.S.A. basketball's "Redeem Team."Collinsworth asked Kobe about what it felt like when he first got his U.S.A. uniform, and how he felt about representing the United States of America...

And, is it really "cool" to be proud of your country today?

And, here's the transcript for those who have trouble watching the video:

Collinsworth: Tell the story when you first got your USA uniform.

Kobe: Well I had goosebumps and I actually just looked at it for awhile. I just held it there and I laid it across my bed and I just stared at it for a few minutes; just because as a kid growing up this is the ultimate, ultimate in basketball.

Collinsworth: Where does the patriotism come from inside of you? Historically, what is it?

Kobe: Well, you know it’s just our country, it’s... we believe is the greatest country in the world. It has given us so many great opportunities, and it’s just a sense of pride that you have; that you say "You know what? Our country is the best!"

Collinsworth: Is that a ‘cool’ thing to say, in this day and age? That you love your country, and that you’re fighting for the red, white and blue? It seems sort of like a day gone by(?)

Kobe: No, it’s a cool thing for me to say. I feel great about it, and I’m not ashamed to say it. I mean, this is a tremendous honor.

Infidel of the Week.

Did you notice the sneer on Collinsworth's face when he said the words"..red, white and blue..."? and the "look" that Kobe gave him ...
K. B. rose in my estimation ... and I do not care for the attitude of professional basketball players-as a whole.

There was an article in the LA Times the other day (which I still read occasionally for its sports section) where they interviewed Kobe about his experiences at the Olympics. He said it was overwhelming and he had not expected to feel the way he was feeling.

If, by chance, you saw the opening cermonies, you could see this by the look on his face as he walked into the stadium. He seemed to realize this was about something a lot bigger than anything he had been involved with before.

By the way, as per usual, wherever we go in the world, no matter what the anti-American propaganda, the American team was roundly cheered like no other foreign team.

That's because everywhere in the world, people want to come here.

It took forever for the video to load. But the wait was worth it!

Wow, just wow!

Kobe has changed a bit in the past few years.
