Things have changed.
Tuesday night laid bare the sea change in America. If you haven't heard O'Reilly and Hannity and Rushbo ad infinitum ad nauseum talk about it then you've been asleep. Or watching reality TeeVee. But I repeat myself.
Over the last four years the focus of IBA has been shifting, not intentionally, but shifting nevertheless. The threat Barack Obama posed to this Republic was too great to ignore and much of our focus shifted from the counter jihad to his policies.
Now it seems the threat is coming from our fellow Americans as well.
It's not, as we thought, that Americans are willfully blind to what is happening. It is that they do not care what happens as long as they get their cut. Their free phone. Their food stamps. Their gas bill paid. And no one interrupts their watching American Idle or reading the latest rags about the ever so important Kim Karbooboom.
from an email from Pastorius:
Never have I felt so abandoned in my entire adult life. I do not believe we live in America anymore. We live in "America". And, I now believe a very large portion of my fellow "Americans" are my enemies. In the city I live in, our police dept. beat a 135 pound homeless schizophrenic man to death. Six cops on one man.Our whole city rose up against the police dept and attended protests and city council meetings and got out the vote to get rid of 3 of the 5 city council members who were supporting the police dept. But nothing is being done YET because of the unions.
The city I live in is a college town. The unions are very strong.
I now realize that the blue collar, men of courage, salt of the earth americans, firemen, policemen, teachers, are all pigs at the trough. These "liberals" are not willing to stand against their union to call for the ouster of the police chief who oversaw the murder of the homeless man and who oversaw the attempted coverup.
This is what I mean by my fellow "Americans" are my enemies.
This event that happened in my city has made me understand intimately why Obama was elected.
Mitt is right about the 47%.
Where AOW lives, it is even worse. Washington DC is now a three state metropolis of government workers and a economy entirely based upon government pig slop.
And no one has the courage of their convictions to stand up and say it is wrong.
It is for this reason that I now consider myself a DISSIDENT against the "American" government.
And in another from Epaminondas:
Things have moved on, and frankly until or unless there is another act of mass terror on the homeland I expect that encroaching pressure from muslim lands and philosophies, financial and commercial pressure from abroad, Israel, Iran, NATO, Japan, Korea and all of that will take a very back seat in the USA. It won’t even be resisted because people will be otherwise concerned. We have another kind of war going on here now. Not only have we reached the tipping point of 50% in terms of consumers of govt largesse, but that also means that majority will acquiesce and support the perceived arms of the govt, and the govt itself in order to keep on receiving those benefits. We will never even BEGIN to do the things we need to do as ‘infidels’ if we cannot first do them as americans. The America we understood and loved, IS GONE.
Infidel Bloggers Alliance is going to change.
Consider, in the 48 hours since his re-election we have seen or learned that
1. Valerie Jarrett is or has been leadin high level talks with Iran2. The U.S. is now backing new U.N. arms treaty talks.3. John Boehner, the alleged leader of the loyal opposition, has declared Obamacare the law of the land and has no intention of opposing it any further.
All of this in 2 days and our fellow "Americans" decided they wanted FOUR MORE YEARS of it as long as they kept getting their stuff.
We intend to make our dissent heard loud and clear. To work towards reclaiming the America we understood and loved. The America a bunch of old white guys a long time ago pledged their lives, fortune and sacred honor to forge.
Not all Americans are of the "gimmemine" mindset and we intend to be their voice as well. And hopefully they will join us.
In short our focus may chane but not our mission. We still intend to save America and the West but not from Islam and the Jihad but from ourselves.
Because if we lose America, no nation will be left with the will to stand against Islam.
We're mad as hell and we're not giving up. We will not allow America to become a backwater of history. Not on our watch.
And we're counting on you to help us. Starting right away.
We will be changing our name to something more appropriate.
If you thought things were weird before stick around.
We're not going anywhere.

THIS COMMENT IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS GIVING UP THE FIGHT
if we lose America, no nation will be left with the will to stand against Islam
Well, in a significant way, we have ALREADY lost America. For how long, I cannot say. But I would guess that we have lost America for the next two years -- at the minimum.
Two years because the next election for the U.S. Senate.
But even if the GOP were to sweep the Senate in two years (wouldn't happen because only 1/3 of the seats would be up for re-election in 2014), Obama will done as he's done during his first term: govern by executive order and regulation.
You know what I think?
Until the federal government can no longer issue any checks (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, retirement checks, AND pay checks for the most recent period), Americans will go on their merry way and ignore the reality because AS LONG AS SIGNIFICANT NUMBERS OF PEOPLE ARE SUCKING ON GOVERNMENT TIT, THEY CAN DO SO UNTIL THEY ARE REDUCED TO A STATE OF ABJECT POVERTY.
They will not listen until they are personally affected!
We're mad as hell and we're not giving up. We will not allow America to become a backwater of history. Not on our watch.
I'm glad and relieved to hear that.
I have a couple of ideas but they may not be very popular here. I've actually mentioned some of them before in comments or emails (can't remember which) while I was still writing here as AvengingApostate.
1: If you want this blog to be taken seriously and get more recognition, then it needs to get on a .com (or .net or .org) of its own. Few people take .blogspot.com seriously, or at least that is my perception.
2: This admins of this blog NEED financial support to continue this fight. I know this one in particular is not a popular point but realistically how long can this blog continue without financial support before it becomes like one of the "Open Source" projects that no one gives a s*** about? I'm currently unemployed but once employed, I would love to financially support the blog.
3: The look and feel of the blog needs to be more professional and it should look more "patriotic". I'm not saying the blog looks like crap, just saying that since you have decided to change the main focus, I'd say the design should reflect that.
As for the name, I don't feel qualified to suggest anything since I'm not an American.
I wholeheartedly agree, by the way, with this move. I wouldn't have continued this fight if it wasn't for the US. Whether people like it or not, the US is still the only hope on earth for freedom loving people around the world. Re-election of Obama has sure put that reality on a fast track to being a thing of the past but things will be way worse if real Americans like you, Pastorius and Epa decided to just give up and crawl up into a hole.
I'm glad you guys have decided to pick up the fight and not give up.
American it was not a good idea to reelect a muslim to the white house...
Anonymous,
I wish you would have dropped by and told us that five years ago, damn it.
;-)
May I also suggest that the Fort McHenry flag and Betsy Ross be made part of the new design.
Just throwing out ideas.
Before commenting on the main issue, an answer to Always on Watch: the money supply will not stop. They will keep printing; the populace will be content while country and economy go down the drain. This is not reversible. A change in congress will not change a thing. The Executive will keep producing executive orders. Members of congress on both sides are nothing by pompous asses profiting from their positions, happy just blowing in the wind. I come from a country which had the 5th economy in the world after WWII. Now we are the laughing stock of the world and listed behind some of the poorest countries in Africa. All the values which made us proud and great are gone. Demagogues are the scum of the earth, and the populace love them because of the free bees thrown at them. I may be negative, but know that the erosion will be slow and steady. People have already been turned. Those behind the New World Order have been working for decades and were successful.
As for your blog, here is my comment. I understand your fury and frustration, as well as your need to take action. But please do not discontinue Infidels'. If you want to create a patriotic page with flags and whistles, do it by all means, but keep this one. You have followers all over the world and THIS VOICE voice is needed. As we go down, the musloids will keep up their pressure and THIS BLOG IS NEEDED!!!
Maybe I'm saying this because coming from where I come, I know governments which govern by executive orders are not to be trusted, they poke their noses everywhere, and the Internet is a very tempting one for haters of freedom. Not being a citizen yet, I try to stay away from blogs or pages that have any hint of sedition ... And I'm afraid what you have in mind will have at least a tint of that.
I admire not only your posts but also your minds, and wish you success in whatever new endeavor you decide to embark.
God bless you, and may He protect us all.
Charles, I believe, is correct about what our decline will look like.
They will continue to print up more and more money, which will be worth less and less every time they print a new batch.
Charles,
Your comment about our possible shift in focus is very valuable. Thank you.
It is hard for us to see this from anything but our America-centric perspective.
One of the ideas I had was that our blog should become
an
"America of the Mind"
to use the phrase of our fellow Infidel Dag Walker.
That is exactly what happened in Argentina. After Juan Peron, the government expanded, no one stood up against what they were doing because it was deemed "treasonous". And 70 years later we have a third world country where everyone is a leftist and a Peronist.
Some other ideas are
Expatriates of America
Exiled in "America"
Exiles of "America"
Are those seditious to you?
Worthless printed money might as well be the same as not getting whatever government checks because the buying power is gone.
Those of us who have saved for our futures are screwed.
The tsumani of aging Boomers is going to be a factor. This is uncharted territory as we've never before had a population this old.
Look at Japan. There is something to compare to.
On financial support for IBA - Contact Rove's PAC and other conservafive packs. The libs had no problem propping up moveon.org when it was just a small weenie. Its the cobservative's turn support sites like this.
Pastorius, when I mentioned seditious, I referred to content, not form or name.
Nicoenarg is right, I have the feeling we are going where Argentina has already been. Apparently Argentina is the only country in the world, which having been at the top, descended so inexorably. I hate to think that the US chose the same path.
About a year after Obama assumed power, Horrible Cristina said in a speech that Obama was following her policies. We, the smart ones, laughed at her stupidity. How could the leader of the free world follow the policies of a country led by a ridiculous bimbo? Well, it looks like she knew what she was talking about. Cristina and Obama are getting their ideas from a cursed manifesto ...
Hey Pasto, remember when Romney picked Ryan as his running mate and you thought it was a bad pick and that they would lose, but I said no they are going to win? Well, you were right and I was wrong, friend. Mea culpa.
I don't think you need a new name for this blog. But if you don't want to see a permanent one-party Democratic state in the US, like what seems to be happening in California now, then you need to start focusing on the Third World immigration invasion that will surely destroy the GOP (if it hasn't already). The vast majority of non-whites and non-Christians are not and will NEVER be conservatives, period.
Romney won 60% of the white vote, plenty enough to win in any other era in American history. But whites only made up 72% of the electorate, and Obama won 80% of the non-white vote, enough to put him over the top. Obama won 95% of the black vote, about 90% of Muslims, and 70% of Jews, Asians and Hispanics, plus solid majorities of white homosexuals, feminists, atheists and other fringe groups who detest traditional America.
As Steve Sailer calls it, the Dems are the Coalition of the Absurd and the GOP are the Core of the Nation. The Core is shrinking so fast, due almost entirely to mass immigration, that the GOP is doomed to extinction, at least as a recognizably centre-right party. The Coalition of the Absurd will then rule indefinitely until it inevitably splits apart due to its internal contradictions. Then America will revert to a two-party state once again: liberals vs socialists.
I would call the Dems the 'High-Lows', and the GOP the 'Middles'. The Highs are Jews, Asians and elitist whites, allied with the Lows, blacks, Hispanics and disgruntled and underclass whites. The Middles are the broad upper-middle, middle and working class whites, plus a sprinkling of righteous minorities.
The High-Lows represent the probable Third World future of America, with a highly stratified economic pyramid reminiscent of Mexico or Brazil. A small, all-powerful elite will lord it over the poverty-stricken lumpen masses, in a nation where crime, corruption and general societal incompetence will be at levels unimaginable today. Racial, religious and class warfare will be endemic.
The Middles represent the America of yesterday, a united, fiercely patriotic and naturally egalitarian society that seems almost quaint today. This was the America of nuclear families and close-knit neighbourhoods, of churches and legion halls and civic associations, Norman Rockwell's America. A truly great country. However, this nation was so obviously racist, sexist, homophobic, nativist, anti-Semitic, Islamophobic and downright evil in the eyes of our liberal betters that it needed to consigned to history's dustbin, ASAP.
Can anything be done to stop America's seemingly inevitable decline into Third World status? I don't know, but it can surely be slowed down by declaring a immigration moratorium and deporting all the illegals, thereby depriving the Democrats of millions of future voters. Will the GOP ever propose this? Hahaha. Today's cowardly GOP would rather commit suicide than violate political correctness, so let's hope that something better will rise in its place that can salvage at least something of traditional America.
This is my first comment here, but I have been reading for quite a while. Something in the post reminds me of a fellow who comments at BC and elsewhere. His comments are always worth reading. He has coined the acronym TWANLOC: Those who are no longer our countrymen. Seems to fit the spirit of the post. The other ideas in this thread seem good too. FWIW.
over the last month and a half I have been worn out by this life and the odds that have continued to stack up. I solute your renewed resolve.
so far ive got nothing. my reserves have run dry.
I heard that. And I understand, rumcrook.
Pasto and I have had a number of conversations like that in recent months.
I have serious doubts that a GOP change in stance on immigration will have the effect of creating more GOP voters. See THIS.
And here's something else to think about....If the Dems want more immigration, are not the Dems feathering their future nests? Since when does the Left propose something that doesn't benefit themselves and their cause?
That's a must-read article, AOW. Good find.
I agree with AOW and the National Review article.
That being said, as long as Republicans act like Illegal Immigration is only a issue of illegal immigrants, that is not going to help either.
Illegal Immigration is a VERY COMPLEX ISSUE.
Check it out:
The reason we have Illegal Immigration in the proportion that we have it (and let's face it, it is the proportion that is the problem) is because there is a collusion between
1) big business
2)Republicans for big business
3) the Democratic Party who wants illegal immigrants as votes and government needle addicts
4) Academica who wants to destroy the USA (and have done so)
5) the Media who want to destroy the USA (and have done so)
6) the Justice Dept and "government" of the US who effectively does nothing to stop illegal immigration
7) Mexico - a failed state whose leading export is their citizens
8) the sheer fact that America used to be the best place in the world and still is a lot fucking better than Mexico
All these reasons come together to create the Illegal Immigration problem
NOW,
the fact is, these Illegal Immigrants are human beings.
As Human Beings they are God's children, and, as our sidebar says, every single one of us were born with the same unalienable rights, to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
Because it is the primary institutions of our government and economy and education system who prop up illegal immigration, and because we as citizens enjoy the benefits of living under this government, and in this economy, and the benefits of our education system, we are morally responsible for these Illegal Immigrants.
That is not to say we are morally responsible to further encourage the situation.
Illegal Immigration should be stopped.
But, we have to deal with the human beings who are here in a Just manner, or else we are repeating the slavery issue all over again (though in a somewhat less offensive manner than the first time).
Simple, permanant resident alien but never citizenship for breaking our laws. Never allowed to vote.
They want a vote go home vote there
The ESOL programs are gobbling up a lot of school assets that should be going to other children. And not only the assets of the local school systems. There are federal regulations that come into play; ESOL programs received funds from the federal government, and schools add more and more ESOL classes -- many ineffective and costly in the extreme. Once those ESOL programs are in place, the local systems cannot cut back the programs because cutbacks result in less federal funding. The same goes for special ed, BTW.
I know specific details about ESOL programs. See THIS and THIS at Always On Watch.
In fact, I worked with quite a few ESOL students when I taught for a private school. The students had a miserable first year, but after that, they caught on via total immersion WITH NO SPECIAL ESOL MATERIALS OR PRESENTATIONS IN PLAY.
ESOL courses are, for the most part, a scam and lower the learning standards for entire classes of native speakers of English. The same goes for special ed classes of "basket cases," each one of those classes OF ONE OF TWO STUDENTS costing the taxpayers about $100,000/year in teacher salary and salary for the necessary classroom aide.
And here's something else....A few years ago, a public school here in Northern Virginia refused to let a WW2 veteran come to speak to his grandchildren's class and lead the class in the Pledge of Allegiance BECAUSE SAYING THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE WOULD OFFEND THE IMMIGRANT POPULATION OF THAT CLASS. I kid you not! So, that volunteer program with WW2 veterans was terminated out of political correctness not to offend "the immigrant population."
And we wonder why so many immigrant children are not assimilating or appreciative of American ideals! The children aren't learning about those ideals because to do so might offend them. Pfffft.
Now that I've ranted, let me also point out THIS POST at Always On Watch. Excerpt:
...Recently, M [American born child of Ethiopian immigrants] wrote an entry for the VFW's Patriot's Pen contest: "What Would I Tell America's Founding Fathers?" M chose to discuss Jacob Broom, "a plain good man" and perhaps the least known of the men at the Constitutional Convention. She knew a lot of details about Broom because, over the summer, she had read a biography about him and his role in the American Revolution and at the Constitutional Convention. For over 300 words, M's words leaped off the page and brought the man to life – her point being that a person whom one might consider insignificant can make a substantial contribution to establishing a nation – the best nation on earth as far as M is concerned and so stated. She garnered an A+ from me, and I rarely put that grade on a composition....
I'm going to put some serious thought into this over the course of the next few days and I don't plan on pulling any punches. I hope you will keep this thread as well as your bright minds open so that this conversation can go where I think it needs to go.
I am a longtime reader of this website who has "drifted away" somewhat in recent years in favor of WZ, JW, VT, and drudge.
I'll have more time to write later, but for now, here's a few things to chew on.
1. When a reader such as myself first discovers a website with the name Infidel Blogger's Alliance, we are elated. "Oh boy, here are a few other people who correctly see the mortal threat of islam, and they are creating an alliance of like minds to help combat it!"
2. But then you actually get into the site and you begin to sense a lack of focus on that all important concept - building a real alliance - a structured infidel core - a rock solid foundation upon which other activities and aspirations can then be added. I can't emphasize this enough. Where on the planet Earth is the infidel version of mecca - the corresponding place where infidels go when they want to be completely isolated from islam and muslims to help facilitate the formulatation of global strategies in opposition thereof. This ain't it. This should be it.
3. And then there is the comment system - a system so bad it makes me literally want to swear at the screen. I drifted away because the comment system made me think Pasto was trying to slowly kill or shut down the site on purpose and was just being too nice to say so out loud.
4. And all the music video posts. Nice, but be advised I never have and never will click on this site "for the tunes". Sorry, I already have Youtube, and I even have and old fashioned radio.
5. Other things, like "infidel babes of the week" that last months and months all combine to give the impression of a lack of seriousness.
-More to come later...
I'm in the fight to the bitter fricken end. I think Infidels is still an appropriate name, because rebels are infidels to the new religion that is the Obamanation as well as to "allah". And we all know that Caliph Obama is in bed with exactly the same people the counter-jihad fights against, so there ya go. But whatever you call yourselves, I am here to stand and fight along side you, to hell and back and wherever else the fight may take us, to the bitter fricken end.
Zilla,
Glad to hear it.
Thanks.
Anonymous,
I love your five comments.
1) IBA used to be exactly what you think. It has changed focus over time. We also lost a lot of our contributors over unpopular stands that me, Epa, MR, and AOW took. Pamela Geller, Baron Bodissey and others quit blogging here because they did not agree with us. That can be perceived as being a real drag, but it is also just the reality of us. We're troublemakers by the fact that we are who we are and tell the truth as we see it. We do not adhere to party lines.
2) I guess you're right. Sorry. You have any suggestions? You want to contribute?
3) I'm not sure what is wrong with the comments section. What is wrong? Please tell me.
4) I think the music posts are a occupation hazard. Occupation = drinking
;-)
5) You're absolutely right. If we were more serious, we'd have more babes and they'd be changing up with more frequency.
But seriously, I get everything you're saying. I don't take (technical) things as seriously as I used to take them, nor do I take things as seriously as i ought to.
I look forward to hearing more of what you have to say.
Pasto,
I can't speak for Anonymous, of course.
But word verification is a pain in the ass -- and sometimes it takes several tries to get one's comment to post. Mr. AOW ran into the problem this morning when he commented here at IBA.
Those on the team here do not have to use the word verification feature.
Am I being clear on the problem with word verification? If not, let me know.
I think you guys know this but word verification can be turned off.
I don't remember why we turned it on.
Probably because of some insane commenter who wouldn't shut up. Like maybe it was Damien. Was that the reason? I don't remember.
I'll turn it off.
Hopefully that will make people more happy.
We turned it on because of an ungodly amount of robot spam at the time.
Without word verification anyone can crap all over the keyboard and waste everyone's time.
Well, I guess we're going to allow it again for now.
I just had to clean up about 10 messes already.
Hi, and yes the word verification thingy is indeed my biggest beef. Mostly because they are just too hard to decipher even though I am posting on a number of computers with pretty good monitors. Yikes! maybe I'm a robot and that's why I'm having a hard time. Hadn't thought of that...
But also it seems that the comment format is not particularly geared toward creating a comfortable space for back and forth conversations. Comments don't show up nested in a "modern" way that encourages topical threads to spin off and generate their own action so to speak. Perhaps you are sort of locked in with blogger format though. I don't know.
An ongoing open-comment thread that nested things nicely would be really swell. The sidebar up near the top of the page would be ideal for something like that - separate from the regular posting fare. This could act sort of like a localized open twitter account, into which could be dropped various thoughts, questions, event notifications, or suggested news tips from anti-jihadists around the world.
Ok, I'll stop there for now. I've learned I can lose much longer messages straight into the void when messing around with the word verification.
Anonymous,
I am an administrator at this blog -- one of several administrators.
One of the matters you brough up can be easily addressed: word verification.
I say that we should discontinue that feature.
The rest of the IBA team needs to come to a decision about whether or not to continue word verification.
Without word verification, the spam folder picks up loads of comments, but they are easily deleted via the Blogger Dashboard.
For the record, I removed the word verification last night.
It's gone.
