Less than a week after a New Orleans suburbanite petitioned the White House to allow Louisiana to secede from the United States, petitions from seven states have collected enough signatures to trigger a promised review from the Obama administration.
By 6:00 a.m. EST Wednesday, more than 675,000 digital signatures appeared on 69 separate secession petitions covering all 50 states, according to a Daily Caller analysis of requests lodged with the White House’s “We the People” online petition system. A petition from Vermont, where talk of secession is a regular feature of political life, was the final entry.

A petition from Vermont, where talk of secession is a regular feature of political life, was the final entry. Petitions from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas residents have accrued at least 25,000 signatures, the number the Obama administration says it will reward with a staff review of online proposals.
The Texas petition leads all others by a wide margin. Shortly before midnight Tuesday, it had attracted more than 92,400 signatures. But a spokesperson for Gov. Rick Perry said Tuesday afternoon that he does not support the idea of his state striking out on its own.
“Gov. Perry believes in the greatness of our Union and nothing should be done to change it. But he also shares the frustrations many Americans have with our federal government,” according to a statement from the governor’s office.
A backlash Monday night saw requests filed with the White House to strip citizenship rights from Americans who signed petitions to help states secede.
Anti-secession forces fight back with White House deportation petitions
A recent rush of petitions to the White House’s website from anti-Barack Obama partisans hoping their states will secede from the U.S. has produced its first backlash: online petitions asking the Obama administration to exile anyone who signed them.
Two such petitions launched Nov. 12 in the White House’s “We the People” section.
“Mr. President,” reads one, “please sign an executive order such that each American citizen who signed a petition from any state to secede from the USA shall have their citizenship stripped and be peacefully deported.”
BRING IT ON, BITCHEZ!
How's that for a baby tantrum?

LOL! Yup, bring it on! I am ashamed to be a US citizen these days anyway. I refuse to be part of a Socialist nation! Screw you Obama!!
Nico,
The process towards a divorce is going to be very long. It is not going to be something that happens over the next year.
Obama is going to make things worse in our country. His policies are going to destroy our economy. His policies are going to take away our Freedom.
As people see this happening, these movements towards secession are going to gather steam.
The Federal government can and probably will intervene.
Something like the Boston massacre will likely happen, and that will give the people the righteous anger to begin planning an overthrow of the Federal government.
The early movements towards secession have almost no meaning other than theoretical and, as I said yesterday, beginning to count the ranks.
We are drawing a line in the sand, Nico.
That's what this is about.
We are telling our government, "This far and no further."
Hahaha, these fucking liberals wouldn't lift a finger to deport criminal illegal aliens, even murderers. But law-abiding conservatives who dared sign a petition: DEPORT THEM ALL!!!
Hilarious.
They are laughing at this.
LAUGHING.
This movement while emotionally satisfying, is from WAY WAY to the right of Rick Perry.
Does anyone think ANY federal authority would let the Texas, Louisiana, Montana and Dakota oil fields go PEACEFULLY?
How about the Uranium in CO, and the other strategic metals otherwise only available from CHINA?
If there was a 51.5% majority for Obama on his election there will be an 90%+ majority on this.
This movement is not about secession. It's about drawing a line in the sand and saying, "This far and no further."
Furthermore, it is about counting the ranks of who is with us and who is against us.
I agree with Partorius, "This movement is not about secession. It's about drawing a line in the sand and saying, "This far and no further."
Further more it is an instructional exercise for the Sheeple rather than a test.
Obama will fail if he doesn't change his economic polocies, and quickly. When he can not fulfil his promises, and the welfare parasites wishes, the riots will begin and all his limited resources will be used to save or contain the cities. These Democrat controlled voting blocs are beyond control.
We will secede for survival, not because we want to. The dream of a Constitutional Republic will not die, but be rebuilt west of the Mississippi by people that love America.
