MK Ultra was a secret program of the CIA.
We, as a society, have had a hard time coming to believe in, and accept, the reality of these programs, and their "successes" and outrageous moral failures
This is, in part, because the program was secret.
But we have no problem accepting the reality of the Atomic Bomb, which was also the result of a secret program called "The Manhattan Project". The reason is because the evidence of the "successes" and the failures of that program is overwhelming, in your face, and has clearly changed the course of history. But the goal of MK Ultra was more subtle; to create mind-controlled assassins.

"The question is whether Manson - who was basically given this "Get Out Of Jail Free Card" for two years, while he transformed from this barely literate ex-Con (32 years old) into this Master Guru who could do everything the CIA had been trying to accomplish for 20 years (get these people to kill without remorse) - had somehow been influenced by his affiliation with the (CIA-affiliated) scientists at the Haight-Ashbury Free Medical Clinic?"
