"Stealth Jihad puts a provocative hypothesis to the test of empirical reality with forcefulness and clarity. Many will disagree with this -- including our likely next president and vice president -- but the burden is now on them to disprove this book." -- John Bolton, former U.S. permanent representative to the United Nations

My pre-ordered copy arrived yesterday afternoon.
I think I'll make my Borders order it for me if it's not already on the shelves, and it had better be or they are going to hear about it.
My pre-ordered and long-awaited copy is on its way to me according to Amazon. I can't wait.
I'm reading White Gold right now. That's another really interesting book.
The Gathering Storm. I hope the uneducated about radical Islam will read it.
They should read both your website and the book by Churchill.
My copies of Spencer's book arrived this afternoon. I only read a few pages and it is material that will be familiar to regular readers at JihadWatch.org & it's sister site DhimmiWatch.
To the uninitiated - the concept of manipulative jihad absent the element of terror will be quite disturbing.

Having read several blog reactions to yesterday's election results, I wonder how much influence this type of reading material will have in the Obama administration.
For instance, I frequently ran across sentiments like this:
Hooray! Reason and tolerance have won out over far-right crackpottery and bigotry.
So far from comprehending the danger, these are the voters that will support Obama's ties with members of the Muslim brotherhood.
Just imagine the potential damage this change can bring. While Bush was in office, the Pentagon chose Hesham Islam over Stephen Coughlin. Obama has indebted himself to his supporters. How will he reward Islamist interests?
Consider the Dept. of Education - under Ayers. Why is this considered part of the 'stealth jihad'. Read Horowitz's book Unholy Alliance.
Thanks for reminding me about "White Gold", CW. In fact, I'd appreciate suggestions for non-fiction books about the historical realities of Islam that are engrossing and entertaining as well as informative. Can anyone recommend a particularly good one about the war against the Barbary pirates?
Pastorius,
I've been wanting this book for a long time.
The material in Stealth Jihad is familiar to us counter-jihadists, all too familiar.
But familiar to the general public? Likely not, though many people may have glimpses of certain developments in their own communities.
If the book makes the NYT bestsellers' list, public libraries will accept copies as donations. Otherwise, the general public won't know much of the book's contents -- until we're even further down the road of the quiet jihad.
RRA - I've recently read one book of fiction that does follow actual historic information without PC drivel, printed in 1946:
Sir Naked Blade" and is very entertaining read along the lines of White Gold.

For children there is C. S. Forester's "The Barbary Pirates" but try to get a copy printed prior to 1980 . . .PC infected after that.
*****
Non-fiction:
Robert C. Davis' "Christian Slavers, Muslim Masters"
****
Also non-fiction but from the American historic perspective:
Frank Lambert's "The Barbary Wars: American Independence in the Atlantic World "
Richard Zack's "The Pirate Coast: Thomas Jefferson, the First Marines, and the Secret Mission of 1805"
Two of my favorites:
Joshua E. London's "Victory in Tripoli: How America's War with the Barbary Pirates Established the U.S. Navy and Shaped a Nation"
Ian Toll's "Six Frigates: The Epic History of the Founding of the U.S. Navy"
****
One more favorite which paints the full picture of violent jihad:
James Jackson's "Blood Rock" The last of the great Christian military orders, the legendary Hospitalier Knights of St. John, retreat to the small island of Malta and alone stand against the tide of Islam. (review in Daily Mail)
HRW
RevereRidesAgain, that was a good question.
HRW, that was a great answer. I put several of your suggestions into my shopping cart. Thank you.
Citizen Warrior -
Enjoy!
Like you, I typically load my cart with books recommended by bloggers whose opinion I respect.
Since my daily grind prevents me from actually sitting down and turning page by page, I prefer to purchase audio books when available. This provides the flexibility I need to listen to the texts while exercising, driving, shopping or while performing mundane house chores. Some books
Heh . . .I'm anxiously awaiting technology to evolve to the point when one can participate with online activity while folding laundry .
It's funny how the blatant bias of the msm has completely driven me away from television and radio news. Instead, I entertain and inform myself with books and blogs that - get this - "vet" the news. Heh!
HRW
HRW,
You vet the news, so the MSM doesn't have to.
LOL
That's why they are going out of business, one by one.
Coming today !!
