Larry Norman - The Father of Christian Rock

I must admit, I relate to this guy, though I don't agree with everything he said. When I was 17, my band was asked to record a song for a "Christian New Wave" compilation album.

We were produced by a guy who was well-known.

But, we were rejected because our lyrics were "offensive", because I dared to utter the sentiment that sometimes it felt like the Law of God "threw up on me".

I quit "Christian music" shortly after that. Too fucking narrow-minded for my aesthetic.

Christians gave Larry Norman a hail of shit too. But, the dude rocked and he was a great Producer of music, and he deserves to be remembered.
