Here's the thing, Michelle Obama may be in the top five most beautiful President's wives of the last century. Beauty is not arbitrary. There is some sense in which it is "in the eye of the beholder", but it also has to do with facial symmetry, shape of lips, shape of eyes, set of eyes, jawline, etc.
Studies have shown that even babies know what an ugly person is, and they want little to do with them.
There is an objective thing which is beauty.
Michelle Obama is a almost beautiful woman, not a beautiful woman. She has beautiful cheekbones, a good jawline, very nice eyes in shape and in how they are set,
but,
her flaw is the way her mouth sits in her face. I don't know how to describe that flaw, but it looks as if she has trouble closing her mouth over her upper teeth, and it seems as if her mouth is set too far back in her face in comparison to her cheeks, cheekbones, and chin.
It is not at all a charming flaw either, and it contributes to the angry look she often sports.

The title is in quotations. Did someone actually call her "the most beautiful first lady ever"?
If so, it is absolutely not true. Both Jackie Kennedy and Laura Bush were clearly more beautiful than Michelle.
Michelle ain't bad, though. Thing is, her anger and mean-spiritedness do tend to come out on her face, even when she looks calm.
