-- Col. Jeff Cooper
All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."

I have one of those .32 Winchester Sp. I can hit a Lucky Lager in the X at 100 yards
Mine's a 30-30. Made in '65 it is one of those models made during the transition to less expensive materials and methods. Has the saddle ring, case hardened receiver, really beautiful.
7 shots in a 3x5 index card at 50 yds, no scope (Horrors! on a lever gun!) just iron sites. Further than that and my eyes ain't what they used to be :)
Damn straight.
Like I said before, I see the 1st and 2nd Amendments as being of a piece. They are one thing to me.
A kind word back up by a gun.
Right. Capone -- you can get farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.
Mine is a pre '64. My Dad gave it to me for my 16th B-day.
I don't hunt anymore,(to many regulations), but I never missed taking a deer with it. I killed one bear also.
Guns; Better to have one and not need it than need one and not have it.

Guns; Better to have one and not need it than need one and not have it.
Amen, brother, amen.
I haven't hunted in many years.
Those pre-64s are STILL the best.
