Where've you been?

It's funny, I woke this morning thinking, "Where has Mark Alexander disappeared to?"

And, here you are.

Hope you had a nice vacation, or something good.

It seems the video has disappered already.

What was it?

Mark,
What I saw on the video is much like a televangelist event. Is this approach designed to appeal specifically to Westerners?

Rats, I needed something fresh to mock, too, Jaco.

Always On Watch,

That's the exact impression I got as well. If I had no idea about the violence and intolerance in the Koran, I wouldn't learn about it from watching this video. I wonder if the woman taking the vow has any idea what some of the people of her new faith might do to her if she ends up doubting Islam, and tries to leave.

What some women will do to be famous for 15 minutes! But the guys can't be serious muslims because they've be photographed with a woman who isn't their wife.

They're apostates - off with their heads!!

Anonymous,

We can also hope that they don't take the Koran literally and that they reject the violent and hate filled parts. But don't hold your breath.

She looked like a lamb to the slaughter. Nothing more, nothing less.

Nowhere much. I have just been incredibly busy; and still am, actually.

Didn't know I had such an impact on you, Pastorius! :-)

And, here you are.

You know what they say about speaking of the Devil... No sooner have you mentioned him, and he turns up! Just like that!

Hope you had a nice vacation, or something good.

Nothing so good as a vacation, just a good load of work! :-(

This girl looks so innocent. Seemingly, she doesn't know what she has let herself in for.

She should have done a spot of research before taking such a major leap into the dark.

Pastorius, I think you should try the video again. It must have been down temporarily.

Exactly. And gullible Westerners at that!

Mark,

Unfortunately to some degree it will work.

Damien:

I know. That's the tragedy.

Cult indoctrination writ large. We can either deprogram them with a timely application of reason and enlightenment as to the true nature of what they've joined, or we can let it slide and wind up deprogramming them the way we did the Japanese and the Nazis.

This video made me want to throw up,its sickening. Islam will never win..May God show muslims the right path and lead them away from the darkness of islam...

Here's a female mid-level (district) UK judge who converted to Islam... feel free to blog about it.

I have just viewed the two parts of that video. It really is quite sickening that such an educated woman could be so taken in by the 'religion' of darkness.

Damien said...

Mark,

She may have been educated, but was she educated about Islam? Speaking of education, that's something else the Islamic fanatics don't want women to have.

Mark said...

Damien:

Clearly, she was NOT!

By the way, have you read THIS on my website? I think it says it all!

Mark, apparently several faculty members at Cambridge and Oxford have converted as well. She's not a one-off.

Damien, the fanatics yes, but the mainstream Muslims don't have a problem with educated women. There have been thousands and thousands of female Muslim scholars throughout history, as Israeli historian Ruth Roded has noted, and several of the Muslim world's most prestigious universities were founded by women's organizations.
