Updated a an hour ago: Liberian woman who arrived at O’Hare being monitored for Ebola Posted 6:08 AM, October 9, 2014, by WGN Web Desk, Updated at 06:11am, October 9, 2014

A woman who arrived at O’Hare airport is now being monitored because of Ebola concerns.

She landed Wednesday and was brought to the Kenosha County Jail as a federal immigration detainee until she can be deported.

The sheriff’s department contacted the CDC after they found out she’s from Liberia, which has been dealing with the Ebola virus.

The woman has not shown any symptoms.

Jail officials say they’re monitoring the woman twice a day.

They say they’re also in contact with area hospitals so they know what to do if any symptoms appear.

The woman is expected to be deported.
