From the Daily Mail:
BREAKING: Several people are injured as explosion rocks Southgate Tube station in London with locals evacuated from their homes as police probe ‘suspicious packages’
Homes have been evacuated and residents have been told to stay indoors after an explosion at a North London tube station.
A number of people are being treated for injuries with one person seen carried off in a stretcher after a device detonated tonight.
It is understood the officers were investigating a suspicious package found at Southgate Tube Station in Enfield when the explosion happened.
Met Police have said it is too early to say whether or not this is being treated as a terror incident.
But the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said he is in touch with senior officials. Witnesses described smelling ‘burning’ as people rushed out of the station in panic.
