Poll too much to hope for BATTLEGROUND POLL 10/29 … ROMNEY WINS 52-47, AND in Ohio

Maybe this explains Obama becoming really weird.
Reported by Weekly Std, Human Events, Fox News, and the Inquisitor. Politico which partners with Battleground, did NOT report this, and carries the news that Obama has pulled back into the lead.

New Projection of Election Results: Romney 52, Obama 47

The bipartisan Battleground Poll, in its “vote election model,” is projecting that Mitt Romney will defeat President Obama 52 percent to 47 percent.  The poll also found that Romney has an even greater advantage among middle class voters, 52 percent to 45 percent.
Obama and Romney
While Obama can close the gap with a strong voter turnout effort, “reports from the field would indicate that not to be the case, and Mitt Romney may well be heading to a decisive victory,” says pollster Ed Goeas.
Should Romney win by 5 percentage points, it would increase Republican chances of gaining control of the Senate.  His coattails would help elect GOP Senate candidates in Virginia, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida.  “Republicans are now certain to hold the House,” Goeas said, “regardless of how the presidential race turns out.”
The poll’s election model takes into account variables including voter intensity, age, and education, and voters who are certain in their vote.  The race “remains very close in the surface,” Goeas said, “but the political environment and the composition of the likely electorate favor Governor Romney.”
The projected outcome by the Battleground Poll is close to that of the Gallup Poll.  Last week, Gallup said Romney leads Obama 49 percent to 46 percent in its model of the electorate’s composition on November 6.
The Battleground Poll is conducted by Goeas of the Tarrance Group and Celinda Lake of Lake Research Partners.  Goeas is a Republican, Lake a Democrat.  The survey is affiliated with Politico and George Washington University.
Here is Politico today…

Obama retakes the lead

The latest POLITICO-George Washington University Battleground Tracking Poll shows Obama ahead of Romney by 1 percent, representing a 3-point swing in Obama’s direction from a week ago. The president also leads by 8 points among those who have already voted, 53 to 45 percent.

Anti-Wilders Mob Goes Mad

From Front Page Magazine comes this essay by Bruce Bawer:\

The other day I wrote here about a Norwegian TV documentary – to use the term very loosely – in which Robert Spencer, the consummate Islam critic and expert, was expertly demonized. The program showed him in Stockholm last summer, addressing an outdoor audience from a platform. While he stood there in suit and tie, his demeanor entirely calm and reasonable, and delivered his talk – or tried to – a violent mob a few feet away spewed out its venom: “Fucking racists! No racists in our streets!”

Meanwhile a small army of riot police struggled to hold them back. It was not easy.

To look at those faces twisted with hatred – those human beings transformed into ferocious beasts, filled with savage indignation and, by all indications, prepared to tear their fellowman limb from limb – was to stare into the very heart of contemporary Europe’s darkness. It’s one thing to read about the history of Europe from the storming of the Bastille to the present day; it’s another thing to see the most cataclysmic, psychopathic turning points of the last couple of centuries vividly mirrored, as it were, before one’s eyes.

How different were those faces in Stockholm, after all, from the faces one might have seen in the streets of Paris during the Reign of Terror? This mob rage didn’t come from nowhere: it’s the product of history. Those rioters in Stockholm were the descendants of Robespierre and the enragés, the heirs to their unquenchable bloodthirstiness; and the rage in their eyes was testimony to the enduring destructive power of pure fanatical ideology, which, time and again since 1789, has turned Europe into a madhouse.

Looking into the eyes of those protesters, one could scarcely doubt that if they could push their way past those cops and get their hands on Spencer, they’d do as much harm to him as they could....

Roger Simon: Obama is "Treasonous", a "Moral Monster"

Of course, at IBA we've been saying this from the beginning.

From PJM:

Is it treason when you put your own reelection above the good of your country and the lives of its citizens? If so, Barack Obama committed treason in leaving the four Americans to die in Benghazi.

Our Constitution defines it this way: “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”

Aid and comfort to the enemy — what is that?

When you ascribe an action to the protest of a video when it is actuality a planned terror attack by Ansar al-Shariah, an established offshoot of al-Qaeda (if that’s not your “enemy,” then who) — and you knew that all along, you watched it live without doing anything, and then you told those who wanted to help to “stand down”? Meanwhile, our government may have been conspiring to arm another offshoot of al-Qaeda in Syria.

How much more treasonous can you get? Benedict Arnold was a piker.

Indeed, the discussion of Benghazi has just begun. And don’t be surprised if the conversation escalates from impeachment to treason very quickly. In fact, if Obama wins reelection you can bet on it. The cries of treason will be unstoppable. Not even if the mainstream media will be able to deny them.

As Pat Caddell noted, those same media lapdogs have muzzled themselves in an unprecedented manner in this matter, but our Canadian friends at least have some semblance of honor left, writing:
It is undoubtedly worse than Obama simply turned his back on cornered American citizens in a foreign land, knowing undoubtedly they would die. But that Barack did so without any compelling reason—except political—is beyond evil. Only a moral monster would have made that decision when it was within his powers to possibly save them with almost no effort of his own.
Moral monster? Those are extreme words but they fit an extreme situation and are appropriate to the use of the t-word. But it’s worse. Many now are trying to figure out the motivation for this behavior — beyond the obvious electoral whoring mentioned above, the need to be seen in a certain manner at a certain moment to be sure the Ohio vote doesn’t fall the wrong way.

Catholic Church Joining the Counter-Jihad Movement?

a_session_of_the_synod_on_evangelisation_october_10_2012_credit_mazur_catholicnewsorguk_cna500x320_vatican_catholic_news_10_15_12

From Reliapundit at the Astute Bloggers:
(Reuters)A drive to rekindle Roman Catholicism’s missionary zeal is struggling to counter the challenge of Islam, a religion with an arguably more direct message and a greater institutional hold on its faithful.
Bishops who have been meeting for three weeks to plot a way forward for a Church whose membership is dwindling in Europe are concerned by Islam’s growth and worried about Christian minorities in Muslim countries, according to participants’ comments released by the Vatican.
Islam was mentioned in preparatory documents for the Synod on New Evangelisation, a meeting in Rome of 262 prelates from around the world been held behind closed doors.
One participant said it had become the “buzzword” of the synod that ends this weekend.
“It’s no surprise that Islam has taken on such importance during this synod,” French-born Bishop Paul Desfarges, who heads the diocese of Constantine in Algeria, told journalists in Rome this week. “It’s an issue that concerns Europe.”
Christianity, with about 2 billion followers, is the world’s largest religion and Catholicism – its biggest denomination by far – makes up just over half that total.
But some estimates suggest that the 1.3 billion Muslims, four-fifths of them outside the Arab world, are growing in number much faster than Christians, whose numbers are shrinking in their European heartland.
“We need a much more developed analysis and discussion of the consequences of the Islamic presence in the Western world,” Sydney Cardinal George Pell said.
POLITICAL BOOST FOR ISLAM
Some of the “Arab Spring” uprisings that have spread across North Africa and the Middle East have propelled Islam onto the political stage.
Kyrillos William, the Catholic Coptic bishop of Assiut, painted a stark picture of the situation facing Egypt’s large Christian minority – about 10 percent of the population – since the upheavals of the Arab Spring.
“Every day since the Muslim Brotherhood’s rise to power, we see new steps towards the Islamisation of the state,” he said. “Christians continue to be considered second-class citizens and many of their rights are not recognized.”
In a remark that Church leaders interpreted as criticism, a senior Egyptian official has said the Church’s many schools and hospitals, which are used mostly by Muslims, gave it a presence in society much bigger than its actual size.
“Some extremists demand that we leave the country,” the bishop said. “We’ve told them: ‘No, this is our country and we’re staying’.”
In West Africa, where Christianity and Islam are vying for new followers among the many people quitting traditional religions, bishops felt Catholicism had a double disadvantage.
“The rapid expansion of Islam and especially the spreading of fundamentalism in West Africa enormously worries the Church,” said Bishop Nicodeme Anani Barrigah-Benissan from Togo.
“It only takes one day to become Muslim but it is impossible to renounce this religion later,” he said. By contrast, he added, it takes at least three years of study for an adult to become a Catholic, and the baptized can leave at will.
Patriarch Gregory III Laham, the Damascus-based head of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, argued that Islam’s main teaching – that there is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his prophet – was easier for people to grasp.
“Our beautiful Christian faith is too complicated,” he said.
CONVERSION ILLEGAL
Conversion from Islam to another religion is illegal in many Muslim countries, meaning that Christians dedicated to spreading their faith must do so very cautiously, several prelates noted.
Bishop Desfarges reported that some Algerian Muslims had converted to Catholicism. “These new disciples are sometimes rejected by their own family or must be very discreet,” he said.
Bechara Boutros Rai, the Beirut-based head of the Maronite Church in communion with the Vatican, said there were also “some secret conversions by Muslims to Christianity” in Lebanon.
“Evangelisation is practiced in the Arab countries in an indirect way,” he said, through a wide network of Christian schools, hospitals and broadcast media that spread the Church’s message without explicitly preaching it.
The Islam debate at the conference got off to a rocky start when Cardinal Peter Turkson, head of the Vatican Council for Justice and Peace, screened a video suggesting that Europe was quickly being overrun by Muslims.
But, the Dhimmi Force is still strong with these ones. Check this out:
Cardinal Andre Vingt-Trois from France, home to Europe’s largest Muslim minority, panned the film as propaganda and said the New Evangelisation “should not become a Crusade”.
But several bishops, especially from countries where tensions between Christians and Muslims seem to be worst, saw the meeting of the two faiths as an opportunity for dialogue rather than a reason to bemoan their fate.
“Despite the impression often given by the world media, I want to stress that Christians in Nigeria do not see themselves as being under any massive persecution by Muslims,” Abuja Archbishop John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan told the synod.
“We need to know our Muslim neighbors and keep an open mind to those who are friendly, and they are in the majority,” he said. “We have to work together to make sure that the fanatics do not dictate the agenda of our mutual relations.”
These people need to get out of the way.

Like A Teenage Girl, When His Back Is Up Against The Wall, Obama's Tries The Crying Approach

From Politico:
President Obama fired back at critics who have accused his administration of orchestrating a cover up over the September attacks in Libya.
“I do take offense with some suggestion that in any way, we haven’t tried to make sure that the American people knew as the information was coming in what we believed,” Obama told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” in an interview that aired Monday.
In the aftermath of the attacks that killed four Americans, the administration initially sought to blame the deaths on a riot sparked by an anti-Muslim video in their public statements. The intelligence community later reversed itself, admitting the attacks were pre-planned and likely the work of terrorists or militants.
Obama vowed to hold individuals in his administration responsible at the conclusion of the investigation, if they’re found negligent.
“If we find out we that there was a big breakdown, and somebody didn’t do their job, they’ll be held accountable,” Obama said.
“Ultimately, as commander-in-chief, I’m responsible, and I don’t shy away from that responsibility. My number one responsibility is to go after the folks who did this, and we’re going to make sure we get them,” Obama said.

President Obama and Vice President Biden are unfit for office. They and their klatch of ivory tower socialists, pointy-headed intellectuals, cocked-up cluster f**kers, and botched up bungling bumblers need to climb into their Klown Kar and get the hell out of our nation's capital before they get us all killed.

Poll: Israeli Jews Favor Romney By Almost 3-1 Margin

From the Jerusalem Post:

Israeli Jews prefer Republican candidate Mitt Romney over US President Barack Obama by an almost 3:1 margin, according to a “Peace Index” poll conducted by the Israel Democracy Institute and Tel Aviv University that was released Sunday.
The polling figures stand in stark contrast to polls taken of American Jews, which show they prefer Obama by a similarly wide margin. An American Jewish Committee poll at the end of September showed US Jews favoring Obama over Romney 63%-27%.
The “Peace Index” poll also puts Israel at odds with most of the rest of the world, which – according to a BBC poll published last week of nearly 22,000 people in 21 countries — found Obama favored by an average of 50%, with only 9% for Romney. The Democrat was the preferred candidate in every country polled, except for Pakistan.
Asked “in terms of Israeli interests, who would be preferable to win the elections next month in the US,”  57.2% of Israeli Jews said Romney, while only 21.5% said Obama.
Among Israeli Arabs, the numbers were reversed, with 45% opting for Obama, and 15% for Romney.

Senator Portman: We Need to Find Out If Obama Ever Issued the Order to Secure Benghazi Consulate …(There was no order)

On Friday Barack Obama told Denver’s 9News that on 9-11 he gave the directives to “make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to” to ensure their safety in Benghazi.

Late on Friday
 former
Assistant Defense Secretary Bing West told FOX News that if the directive was made to secure our personnel there would be a paper trail.
Today Ohio Senator Rob Portman told FOX News Sunday that we need to find out if this order was ever issued.
There was a shocking breakdown operationally not having the security there in the first place. And not to respond to these guys and their pleas for help for seven hours during a firefight. It’s unbelievable. And, now we’re hearing that the President of the United States, based on his own words, issued a directive immediately after he found out about the firefight saying he wanted to be sure the people on the ground were safe and they were getting what they needed. It didn’t happen. This means that either the president’s order was not followed. Which would be a breakdown in terms of the White House procedure or it means the order wasn’t issued. We need to find out about this. It’s not about politics.
Retired Army Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer said Saturday he has sources saying President Barack Obama was in the room at the White House watching the assault on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya unfold.
So, where's the Paper Trail?

It fits.

The Nation Begins To Publicly Admit The Emperor Is Buck Fucking Naked

From Business Insider:
Mitt Romney leads President Barack Obama by a single point in today's Public Policy Polling daily tracking survey, but the numbers inside the poll display a clearly worse picture for the president.
Romney's one-point lead is a slight increase from Saturday, when the candidates were tied. But a deep dive into the numbers paint the picture of a president whose approval is on the decline and is struggling to pick up votes with Independents.
Consider the following numbers:
  • Obama is losing the favorability battle, which has been a key strength for him throughout the campaign. His favorable-to-unfavorable rating sits underwater at 46-50.
  • Romney's favorable rating, on the other hand, is a positive 49-45.
  • Romney leads the self-identified Independent vote by an astounding 16 points. Among this crucial group, Obama's approval-to-disapproval is 33-60, and Romney's favorability is 53-37.
These numbers are not a drastic one-day change from Saturday — Obama has been losing Independents by double digits for the past five days of PPP tracking, and his approval with them has been well underwater, too.

Sharia Quiz: What Country is This?

The American Spectator’s Spectacle Blog asks What Country is This?
Take a guess what words fill in the blanks (different words for each of the two blanks) in this news story from Friday:
As the sun burned in the soft blue sky, thousands of Muslims poured into ___________ early Friday and filled the morning with the sounds of prayer as they celebrated Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of the Sacrifice, the most important holiday of the Islamic calendar.
“Eid Mubarak,” men and women said in greeting, wishing blessings for the day. Youngsters skipped school, elders from across __________ glowed with the spirit of the season – in culmination of the annual pilgrimage, called Hajj, a tribute to Prophet Abraham’s life and legacy.
OK, let’s make it multiple choice:
1) Angel Stadium, Southern California
2) Tahrir Square, Cairo
3) Wembley Stadium, London
4) Melbourne Cricket Grounds, south-eastern Australia
5) Roland Garros Stadiium, Paris
Read the story and find out. Am I wrong to feel concerned?
The image is a hint.
As the sun burned in the soft blue sky, thousands of Muslims poured into Angel Stadium early Friday and filled the morning with the sounds of prayer as they celebrated Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of the Sacrifice, the most important holiday of the Islamic calendar.
“Eid Mubarak,” men and women said in greeting, wishing blessings for the day. Youngsters skipped school, elders from across Southern California glowed with the spirit of the season – in culmination of the annual pilgrimage, called Hajj, a tribute to Prophet Abraham’s life and legacy.
More than 20,000 Muslims gathered at the baseball stadium in a historic event organized by leaders of three mosques – the Islamic Center of Irvine, the Islamic Institute of Orange County in Anaheim and the Islamic Society of Orange County in Garden Grove. The three mosques are members of the Islamic Shura Council.
“It brings a different flavor when you’re outdoors in the cool breeze and bright sunshine,” said Shakeel Syed, who heads the Islamic Shura Council.
“In past years,” he said, “people went to individual mosques, but this year — luckily or unluckily — the Angels are not in the playoffs, so the stadium was available.”
Rather than sit in the stands or the bleachers, worshippers walked on the stadium grass, fanning across the baseball diamond.
“The excitement of being in a place that’s generally not accessible to most of us is amazing,” Syed added. “Here, you’re able to see the entire crowd, unlike at a mosque. It lifts up the spirit.”
The words “Eid Ul-Adha” glowed in neon under the Toyota and Metro PCS logos on the Jumbotron screen. It rotated with other Arabic terms, ads touting Quran and Saturday school, and a flashing “Vote on 11/6.” Melodic chants rang in the air.”I felt a sense of unity. I couldn’t believe there was that many people,” said Tarek Soubra, a junior at Pacifica High School in Garden Grove. He missed calculus class, along with Spanish 3 to attend the service, which included a 15-minute sermon.
His father, Samer Soubra, president of Islamic Institute of Orange County, described the experience as “more than what we expected. Not just attendance – but everyone was happy to see all three mosques together, and this way, they could visit with their friends who live in different areas and celebrate with one another.”
“People want to have this every year now,” he added. “Nature was very beautiful.”
Participants said they couldn’t wait to return. “I envision a time when we have 50,000 people–and we can,” Syed noted. “The only challenge is there isn’t a place that can host 50,000 people, with parking, and do it seamlessly.”
So for next year’s prayer sessions, “maybe we’ll have three rounds.”
