IRS Opened Investigation Into Journalist Matt Taibbi on Christmas Eve Weeks After He Dropped “Twitter Files” Documents

The IRS opened an investigation into journalist Matt Taibbi on Christmas Eve 2022 just a few weeks after he began posting “Twitter Files.”
“The IRS opened a case on me on a Saturday, Christmas Eve 2022, which just happened to coincide with a major Twitter Files report on FBI/intelligence community ties to tech platforms.
This is revealed in a new letter to the IRS Commissioner by House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan,” Matt Taibbi said on Wednesday.

The weaponized IRS also showed up to Matt Taibbi’s home on March 9 in an effort to intimidate him.
Taibbi told Jim Jordan that an IRS agent showed up unannounced to his Jersey home and left a note for him to call the tax agency.
According to the House Judiciary Committee, the IRS opened a probe into Matt Taibbi on December 24, 2022 (a Saturday) just weeks after he began dropping “Twitter Files” documents.
The IRS claims it was trying to verify Taibbi’s 2018 tax return because it met identity theft criteria.
The IRS alleged it sent two letters to Matt Taibbi addressing his 2018 return, however, Taibbi and his accountants say they never received the letters.
According to Jim Jordan, the IRS failed to produce copies of the so-called letters they sent Matt Taibbi.
“The IRS’s production shows that the IRS opened its examination of Mr. Taibbi’s 2018 tax return on December 24, 2022. Not only was this date Christmas Eve and a Saturday, but it also happened to be three weeks after he published the first Twitter Files detailing government abuses and the same day that Mr. Taibbi published the ninth segment of the Twitter Files, detailing how federal government agencies ‘from the State Department to the Pentagon to the CIA’ coordinated to censor and coerce speech on various social media platforms,” Jim Jordan wrote.

Abprallen, an LGBT+ company based in London that sells apparel that includes satanic imagery including pentagrams, horned skulls, and references to the devil collaborated with Target to create the “PRIDE” collection.

A second IRS whistleblower in the criminal investigation of first son Hunter Biden emerged Monday in documents sent to Congress following the purge of the entire investigatory team looking into President Biden's son for tax fraud and related crimes.The new whistleblower is a special agent in the IRS's international tax and financial crimes group and worked on the Hunter Biden case since it was opened in 2018 -- until he was ousted without explanation last week.
The agent joins his supervisor, who plans to testify behind closed doors before the House Ways and Means Committee on Friday, in publicly registering concerns about how the Justice Department has handled the investigation.
Both IRS whistleblowers expressed concerns internally for years about the case being swept under the rug but got nowhere, and they lay out extensive claims of retaliation in new disclosures to Congress.
Hunter wrote in communications retrieved from his abandoned laptop that he had to share "half" of his income with his father.
The IRS supervisor, who oversaw the probe since January 2020, and his 12 subordinates were removed from the case -- allegedly on Justice Department orders -- after he contacted Congress on April 19 to allege "preferential treatment" and false testimony to Congress by Attorney General Merrick Garland.
The "preferential treatment" was, if I remember correctly, refusing to grant additional US Attorneys the power to investigate Hunter Biden's crimes in jurisdictions outside of Delaware, or permitting the US Attorney for Delaware tasked with the (fake) investigation of Hunter Biden's Delaware crimes to investigate cases he wasn't already assigned. In other words, as new crimes were discovered, Merrick Garland made sure they weren't investigated by refusing to appoint any attorneys to investigate them.
New documents sent to Congress indicate investigators were cut out of discussions with prosecutors even earlier following a contentious meeting in October where IRS and FBI concerns about inaction were shared with an unnamed US attorney.A whistleblower retaliation complaint sent last week to the Office of Special Counsel and shared with Congress says: "In a charged meeting on October 7, 2022, U.S. Attorney for the District of [redacted] became aware that both the IRS and the FBI had longstanding concerns about the handling of the case ... After [redacted] continued to communicate concerns to the [redacted] USAO in a prosecutorial team call on October 17, 2022, he and his IRS team were no longer invited to any further prosecutorial team calls and meetings on the case, effectively excluding them from the case."
The newer whistleblower, who worked on the probe since 2018, wrote in an email Thursday to seven senior IRS officials, including Commissioner Daniel Werfel, that he believes he was removed for doing the "right thing," including raising internal alarms about the Justice Department "acting inappropriately.""As I'm sure you were aware, I was removed this week from a highly sensitive case ... after nearly 5 years of work. I was not afforded the opportunity of a phone call directly from my [special agent in charge] or [assistant special agent in charge], even though this had been my investigation since the start," the new whistleblower wrote.
"There is a human impact to the decisions being made that no one in the government seems to care about or understand," the 13-year veteran of the agency added.
"I ... have spent thousands of hours on the case, worked to complete 95% of the investigation, have sacrificed sleep/vacations/gray hairs etc., my husband and I (identifying me as the case agent) were publicly outed and ridiculed on social media due to our sexual orientation, and to ultimately be removed for always trying to do the right thing, is unacceptable in my opinion," he wrote.
It's unclear if the IRS agent's sexual orientation was criticized by supporters of Hunter Biden or by detractors who mistakenly assumed the detail meant he wouldn't conduct a serious investigation of a Democrat.

"For the last couple years, my [supervisor] and I have tried to gain the attention of our senior leadership about certain issues prevalent regarding the investigation. "The lack of IRS-[Criminal Investigation] senior leadership involvement in this investigation is deeply troubling and unacceptable. Rather than recognizing the need to ensure close engagement and full support of the investigatory team in this extraordinarily sensitive case, the response too often had been that we were isolated (even when I said on multiple occasions that I wasn't being heard and that I thought I wasn't able to perform my job adequately because of the actions of the USAO and DOJ, my concerns were ignored by senior leadership)."

According to the first whistleblower, an assistant US attorney and an attorney for the DOJ's tax division on Oct. 24, 2022, demanded from the IRS "all his emails related to the case" and "made a similar request of the FBI."
The FBI allegedly was "shocked by it, and the FBI refused."

The news has sparked outrage among customers, conservative groups, and religious organizations, leading to calls for a boycott of Target and intensified scrutiny of the company’s values and decision-making processes.

A Target insider told Fox News Digital that many locations, mostly in rural areas of the South, have relocated Pride sections to avoid the kind of backlash Bud Light has received in recent weeks after using a transgender influencer in a promotional campaign.
A Target insider said there were “emergency” calls on Friday and that some managers and district senior directors were told to tamp down the Pride sections immediately.
“We were given 36 hours, told to take all of our Pride stuff, the entire section, and move it into a section that’s a third the size. From the front of the store to the back of the store, you can’t have anything on mannequins and no large signage,” the Target insider said.

More upstate NY counties declare a migrant state of emergency
We recently learned that New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ plan to ship busloads of illegal migrants to rural upstate counties resulted in the leaders of Orange and Rockland Counties declaring states of emergency to stop the plan. On Thursday, three more counties (Dutchess, Sullivan, and Greene) followed suit. County executives once again blamed the emergency on failed federal immigration policies and New York City’s mismanagement of the migrant situation. They declared that their smaller counties do not have sufficient empty rooms to suddenly begin housing that many people, nor are there adequate resources to feed them and provide other types of care. In short, New York City declared itself a sanctuary city so this is their problem, not that of the suburbs and rural areas. (Hudson Valley Post)

On Thursday, Dutchess, Sullivan and Greene counties all declared a State of Emergency as asylum seekers continue to arrive in New York City.
“We do not have the physical rooms or supporting capacity to house an influx of asylum seekers,” Greene County officials said.
Greene County officials also equated the transfer of New York City’s responsibilities as a sanctuary city to rural counties to “human trafficking.” That’s technically a very accurate description.
In addition to not having enough free rooms, county officials pointed out that they don’t have police forces the size of the NYPD. They simply don’t have the sort of law enforcement manpower needed to keep tabs on that many illegal migrants and respond to the increased levels of crime that inevitably follow their arrival.
But what else is there to be done? The Governor has recently been suggesting that she might start putting up migrants on State University of New York campuses. But how is that supposed to work? The schools use those campuses year-round and they’re packed with students. Are you seriously going to start dumping hundreds of unvetted illegal border crossers in their midst? And who will pay to feed them on campus? Oh, wait. Nevermind. Forget I asked. We already know the answer. It will be the taxpayers.
Kathy Hochul and Eric Adams keep talking about this situation as if it’s “temporary.” But guess what. These migrants believe it’s permanent, thanks to all of Joe Biden’s policies and proclamations. They don’t have any intention of leaving. So perhaps we can offer an alternative suggestion. These people are in the country illegally because most of them never took the legal steps required to enter. If you’re able to round them up and load them onto buses and planes so easily, how about you start sending all of those buses and planes back to Mexico? When did it become the “new normal” to just stare at hundreds of illegal aliens and look for hotel rooms for them rather than calling ICE?
Adams and other New York Democrats are creating multiple states of emergency this month, but they’re probably creating something else as well. Fox News has been conducting some very interesting interviews in New York lately with registered Democrats and lefty independents. And a lot of them have long since grown sick of all of this and are talking about voting for Republicans, many for the first time in their lives. Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.

Ahead of June's so-called "Pride month," the retail giant Target is displaying some options being referred to as trans-friendly for customers, including a line of swimsuits with "tuck-friendly construction."Comedian Chrissie Mayr shared the discovery after a recent trip to the retail giant. Taking to social media, the podcast host tweeted, "Thanks to [Target] I found the perfect swimsuit for creeping out all the women and children at the pool this summer. Can't wait to tuck my cock into this little number while sipping a Bud Light!"
In the accompanying picture, Mayr can be seen glaring at the camera displaying one of the swimsuits featured in Target's pride collection. On the accompanying tags, which Mayr shows to the camera, the suit is advertised as offering "extra crotch coverage" and "tuck-friendly construction."
In a similar tweet, the Citizen Free Press shared a video of a shopper at Target who not only shared the same 'tuck-friendly' swimsuit with viewers, but showed LGBTQ pride clothing designed for children.
In another post, a user known as "Gays Against Groomers," railed on the retail giant, accusing them of grooming and indoctrinating children, while sharing their own images of the LGBTQ selections available at the store. The user further urged customers to boycott the store over its "disturbing" products.
"This is what you will find in the kid's section of [Target]. We urge you to take your business elsewhere. They are indoctrinating and grooming them with LGBTQ ideology. It is highly inappropriate and disturbing."
"We hope there are enough parents out there that understand how wrong this is and show them that this garbage will not sell. The only thing these people understand is money. Target deserves the Bud Light treatment. We will work to put the pressure on them," the user tweeted.
They decided to distract from their woke agenda by also partnering with a Satanist on their "Pride" line.

A report confirms that United States Senators have been issued emergency satellite phones.
CBS News reported these devices are part of a series of new security measures being offered to senators by Karen Gibson, Senate Sergeant at Arms.
The official line of reasoning behind offering the satellite phones was “to ensure a redundant and secure means of communication during a disruptive event.”
CBS News also notes that the satellite phones were offered partially in response to the January 6, 2021 protests at the U.S. Capitol.
Sources confirmed to CBS News all 100 senators were offered the phones last month and more than 50 ( over four dozen) accepted Gibson’s offer. The senators who agreed to take the devices were urged to keep them close by during travel.
The Department of Homeland Security claims the phones are a security backstop in the case of an emergency that “takes out communications” in part of America.
A Department of Homeland Security advisory said satellite phones are a tool for responding to and coordinating government services in the case of a ‘man-made’ or natural disaster that wipes out communication.
Many conservatives including DC_Draino are expressing alarm that a cyber attack prior to the 2024 election would be used to justify changes in voting procedures that will benefit Joe Biden. He argues that senators are being issued the phones to prepare for this exact event.

The DOJ investigated the Clinton Foundation’s relationships with foreign donors while Hillary Clinton was the head of the Department of State during Obama’s presidency.
Hillary Clinton conducted official business on a non government server so she could hide her Clinton Foundation pay-to-play while she was head of the Department of State.
According to emails obtained by Judicial Watch, Hillary Clinton gave preferential treatment to Clinton Foundation donors while she was Secretary of State.
In fact Judge Royce Lamberth previously said Clinton’s use of a private emails was “one of the gravest modern offenses to government transparency.”
However, Joe Biden’s Justice Department formally shut down the Clinton Foundation investigation in August of 2021 after the FBI suddenly dropped their probes.
“In August 2021, the F.B.I. received what is known as a declination memo from prosecutors and as a result considered the matter closed.” the New York Times reported.

Nervous NAACP issues travel advisory in Florida
How nervous is the NAACP that Governor Ron DeSantis is likely to enter the Republican presidential primary this week? Nervous enough to garner headlines for issuing a travel advisory to its members considering traveling to Florida. The race-baiting grifters are out in full force now. It is what Democrats do. When all else fails, accuse white people of being racist.
It’s malarkey. No one seriously thinks Ron DeSantis is a racist man, not even those who accuse him of it. But, there is fundraising to do and headlines to make over such an ugly label. Fortunately, the haters have used the term so much and so easily that most people no longer pay much attention to it. It’s like water off a duck’s back. Black people accusing a Republican politician of being racist? Yawn. The slur has been used so much that it has been rendered almost meaningless.
The NAACP insists that black people are at risk if they visit Florida because of the policies Governor DeSantis has signed into law. The group says that black Americans, people of color, and LGBTQ people are entering a state that is openly hostile toward them. Heh. Haven’t any members of the NAACP ever been to South Beach? Key West? Let’s be clear – this is targeted at family tourism and especially those planning a trip to any of the Disney properties. Busy parents don’t have a lot of spare time to keep up with news from around the country. The NAACP wants to misinform them as to what the governor has signed into law in order to demonize him. The long knives are out.

The formal travel notice states, “Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color.”
“Let me be clear – failing to teach an accurate representation of the horrors and inequalities that Black Americans have faced and continue to face is a disservice to students and a dereliction of duty to all,” said NAACP President & CEO Derrick Johnson. “Under the leadership of Governor Desantis, the state of Florida has become hostile to Black Americans and in direct conflict with the democratic ideals that our union was founded upon. He should know that democracy will prevail because its defenders are prepared to stand up and fight. We’re not backing down, and we encourage our allies to join us in the battle for the soul of our nation.”
The travel advisory was initially proposed to the Board of Directors by NAACP’s Florida State Conference. NAACP’s collective consideration of this advisory is a result from unrelenting attacks on fundamental freedoms from the Governor and his legislative body.
“Once again, hate-inspired state leaders have chosen to put politics over people. Governor Ron DeSantis and the state of Florida have engaged in a blatant war against principles of diversity and inclusion and rejected our shared identities to appeal to a dangerous, extremist minority,” said Chair of the NAACP Board of Directors, Leon Russell. “We will not not allow our rights and history to be held hostage for political grandstanding. The NAACP proudly fights against the malicious attacks in Florida, against Black Americans. I encourage my fellow Floridians to join in this fight to protect ourselves and our democracy.”
Following Gov. DeSantis’ so-called leadership in driving the state to reject students’ access to AP African American studies course in March, the NAACP distributed 10,000 books to 25 predominantly Black communities across the state in collaboration with the American Federation of Teachers’s Reading Opens the World program. The majority of the books donated were titles banned under the state’s increasingly restrictive laws. The NAACP continues to encourage local branches and youth councils to start community libraries to ensure access to representative literature.
