she isnt the bravest woman in the world. only one of them. mukhtar mai was in a much tougher position and has accomplished enormous DIRECT action. she still lives right next door to those threaten her withour protection. Ni Putes Ni Soumises are also a direct action organisation that brush off cultural relativism. All the voices count. All are brave.

It seems to me that because Beck admires Hirsi Ali so much, he kind of commmitted a faux pas there, telling her, "You, most likely, are not going to die of natural causes." Her response was to laugh, but the look on her face was one of acknowledgement.

What a sad thing to have to walk the Earth knowing.
