Federal judge confirms CAIR is Hamas

From Weasel Zippers:
WASHINGTON (WND) – A federal judge has determined that the Justice Department provided “ample evidence” to designate the most prominent Muslim group in America as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator.
According to a federal court ruling unsealed Friday, the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations has been involved in “a conspiracy to support Hamas,” a federally designated terrorist group that has murdered at least 17 Americans and injured more than 100 U.S. citizens.
The 20-page order, signed by U.S. District Judge Jorge A. Solis, cites “ample evidence” that CAIR participated in a “criminal conspiracy” led by the Holy Land Foundation, Hamas’s main fundraising arm in the U.S. As a result, the judge refused CAIR’s request to strike its name from documents listing it as an unindicted co-conspirator in the case.
“The four pieces of evidence the government relies on do create at least a prima facie case as to CAIR’s involvement in a conspiracy to support Hamas,” Solis wrote in his July 2009 ruling.
The evidence includes documents introduced by the government showing CAIR and its founding chairman Omar Ahmad have operated as key members of Hamas’ U.S. wing, known as the “Palestine Committee.” In addition, FBI wiretaps and agent testimony have placed both Ahmad and CAIR’s acting executive director – Nihad Awad – at a secret meeting last decade with Hamas leaders in Philadelphia. Meeting in a hotel room, participants hatched a scheme to disguise payments to Hamas suicide bombers and their families as charity.
“The attendees agreed not to mention the word Hamas but to refer to Hamas as ‘Samah,’ which is Hamas spelled backwards,” Solis said. “The Philadelphia conference essentially laid out the path that the Palestine Committee would take to accomplish its goal of supporting Hamas in the future.”
During the meeting – which was organized and led by CAIR founder Ahmad – the Hamas operatives agreed to form CAIR as an outwardly benign front group skilled in media manipulation. “They did not want to be viewed as being aligned with terrorist groups,” he said.

Pastorius,

Yes, this will really help to discredit them. We need to get people to seem them for what they are, instead of a well meaning civil rights organization. They're lies are being exposed, and I'll bet they don't like it.

My bet is that the media will continue to use CAIR as the go-to "Islamic Human Rights organization".

CAIR reps will continue to appear on news shows at CNN, MSNBC and Fox.

Pastorius,

Maybe, but this will still make things harder on them. Plus anyone who goes on what ever show the CAIR's guy also happens to be on, might be able to discredit him, by pointing this out.

Yep, and that cause would be helped if people like Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer would not associate themselves with the BNP-affiliated EDL.

See, the problem is, the strongest and best anti-Jihad fighters are compromising themselves with associations with the EDL.

So, say Pamela is debating Arsalan Fagamoudi on the O'Reilly show. Pamela mentions that CAIR is affiliated with Hamas, and Arsalan says, "Well, Pamela is affiliated with the BNP offshot, EDL.

It's a push, isn't it?

For the record, CAIR is much worse than the EDL. No doubt in my mind.

The EDL seeks to promote what they see as English values. To the extent they seek inclusion of all peoples in their English value system, they are a positive organization.

CAIR is simply an offshoot of a terrorist organization.

That's a whole other level of evil in comparison to the BNP-offshoot, EDL.

Pastorius,

Yes, but what if isn't Pamella Geller or Robert Spencer who happens to be on the show and brings this up. Imagine its someone the person from CAIR has never heard of before.

As things progress (or maybe deteriorate would be a better word), we are going to be increasingly faced with the question of what level of purity we require from our fellow opponents of Islamic supremacism.

The BNP is a political party, which means it has a party philosophy and platform, most of which is objectionable on grounds of overt racism. I don't support it.

The EDL, on the other hand, is a protest movement against the Islamification of British Society. While it probably includes overlap with the BNP in terms of some of its membership, in its mission statement it is overtly anti-racist. I'm willing to support its actions on at least a case-by-case basis.

I'm also willing to support fundies in this country who consider me damned to hellfire for my atheism so long as we are all standing up together against the threat of Islamic dominance.

Hamas is a terrorist organization and completely beyond the pale. I do not see how it can honestly be equated with the EDL. Not that muslim "spokesmen" care about honesty.

This is utter bigotry. I'm glad you can copy and paste articles on your blog that have almost zero plausibility or credibility. Even if this Judge Jorge Solis ever ruled on such a case, he is no John Marshall. There is no way this will ever get any headway.

You didn't even use the right font for the logo. As they say on the interwebz, fail.

Anonymous,

Oh Really, our concerns are all just bigotry? CAIR's fraud has been well documented. In fact theirs an entire website devoted to exposing them for fascist fraud they really are.

Anti CAIR
