OBAMA TO SUPPORT ARABS AGAINST ISRAEL IN UN RESOLUTION ON JERUSLAEM

The US may abstain from voting on a possible UN Security Council concerning the topic of Jewish construction in east Jerusalem, the BBC reported Thursday, citing a US official.

According to the report, the unnamed official spoke with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Al Thani last week during talks in Paris.

According to the news network, US Middle East envoy George Mitchell was in Paris last week in order to hold talks with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas - hinting that Mitchell was the diplomat who made the previous statement.

The exchange came to public attention during a meeting at the Arab League summit in Sirte, Libya.

The US is one of five permanent members of the Security Council with veto power, and while the US usually blocks any condemning resolutions regarding Israel, their decision to possibly abstain might allow the bill to pass.

Macedonia Officials Say Saudis Pouring Hundreds of Millions Into Balkans, Seizing Mosques, Paying Men to Follow Wahhabi Doctrine

(London Times)- SAUDI ARABIA is pouring hundreds of millions of pounds into Islamist groups in the Balkans, some of which spread hatred of the West and recruit fighters for jihad in Afghanistan.

According to officials in Macedonia, Islamic fundamentalism threatens to destabilise the Balkans. Strict Wahhabi and Salafi factions funded by Saudi organisations are clashing with traditionally moderate local Muslim communities.

Fundamentalists have financed the construction of scores of mosques and community centres as well as handing some followers up to £225 a month. They are expected not only to grow beards but also to persuade their wives to wear the niqab, or face veil, a custom virtually unknown in the liberal Islamic tradition of the Balkans.

Government sources in traditionally secular Macedonia (official title the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), said they were monitoring up to 50 Al-Qaeda volunteers recruited to fight in Afghanistan.

Classified documents seen by The Sunday Times reveal that Macedonian officials are also investigating a number of Islamic charities, some in Saudi Arabia, which are active throughout the Balkans and are suspected of spreading extremism and laundering money for terrorist organisations.

“Hundreds of millions have been poured into Macedonia alone in the past decade and most of it comes from Saudi Arabia,” said a government source. “The Saudis’ main export seems to be ideology, not oil.”

Sulejman Rexhepi, leader of the Islamic community in Macedonia, said a number of mosques had been forcibly taken over by radical groups. Four in central Skopje are no longer under the control of the official Islamic authorities. New imams claim they have been “spontaneously” installed by the “people”.

Feigning Madness in a Crowded Theater

Once you're on to them, and you figure out their tactics, nothing comes as a surprise. I know whereof I speak. I was a hostage, once. Well, almost. I WOULD have been a hostage if I'd not faked a bout of Aspberghian madness.

Long story short: When confronted by neighborhood thugs trying to rob you, drop to the ground and either feign death or madness. Death is a bit harder to fake than madness. Save death for dull conversations on blind dates. Slumping in your chair and gasping your last breath can quickly change a boring interlude to something far more interesting and exciting. Trust me. I know whereof I speak. But I digress.

Which brings me to tonight's supper and a Shiny New Conspiracy Theory, posited by my brother. It's a conspiracy theory that sounds so plausible that it might just be an ACTUAL plan. He's pretty smug about it. Almost gloaty, even. Me, I just hope nothing changes and we all stay warm and fuzzy in the neverending reality of Everything's Just Fine.

I should state emphatically that I am really not into conspiracy theories. In fact, I pretty much detest them and their legions of lemmings. Really. Most of the true believers in these crank pseudoreligions all live in trailer parks. So how did they get all this inside information that NO ONE ELSE BUT THEM knows about? And while you're at it, think about this for a moment, too: Most all conspiracy theories involve ZIONISTS of every evil shade:

But enough of that. Dinner, for the birthday girl was homemade fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and broccoli and biscuits and jam. Cake was confetti with whipped cream and blueberries (I hate frosting except for ganache) and ice cream is "Party Cake". The topper was my brother's very inventive Destruction of America Sequence of Disasters that could probably happen.

First of all, Iran will assassinate the President. They will figure, "He's a Moslem, and will be a martyr", and so they will give him a present that will blow him up. Much celebrating in the Tolerant Quadrant of Hell will ensue.

The Tea Partiers will get the blame, which is to say, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh and especially Ann Coulter will get the blame...and Sarah Palin. Beeyotch.

Riots and mayhem will force the government to crack down on the lawlessness and violence, and our military, already stretched to the breaking point in various theaters of war, will be unable to stop -
China, which covets our natural resources and sparsely populated areas, will bomb us, and it will be all over. We might as well start learning Mandarin.

A Well Regulated Militia Being Necessary to the Security of a Free State. . .

With today's FBI raids it might be a good time to remember that WE The People are THE Militia as the Founders envisioned it and so penned in The Second Amendment. Every one of us.

When the Redcoats (no offense, Ray) came to seize the military supplies at Concord ("and do try to bag those scoundrels Adams and Hancock, will you?") it wasn't a standing army that met them at the bridge and on the green. It was farmers and shopkeepers and laborers who showed up with their hunting rifles in an act of self defense of their land and their towns. Had the Regulars not come, these farmers would not have gone looking for a fight. They had way too much other shit to be looking after.

And indeed, when The Declaration of Independence was written. TJ and friends were not looking for a fight though they knew they would get one. If King George would simply have acquiesced the colonials would not have gone about plinking at anyone in a British uniform.

And that is important to remember, because as things get worse, there will be more "militias" like this showing their hand., stirring things up.

Remember, WE are THE Militia. And that does not mean we go looking for a fight but are ready willing armed and able IF one comes to us. Ready to defend hearth home kith kin and country but not just taking potshots at anyone in uniform.

FBI Arrests 7 Linked to "Christian Militia Group Hutaree"

WASHINGTON (CBS)

A joint-terrorism task force led by the FBI has arrested at least seven people with ties to the militia group Hutaree in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, the Detroit News reported Sunday.

The Hutaree describe themselves as Christian soldiers preparing for the arrival and battle with the anti-Christ.

The FBI is believed to have targeted the Hutaree after its members made threats of violence against Islamic organizations. A U.S. official says some of the people arrested in the raids will face gun charges.

The law enforcement official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the investigation. Federal warrants are sealed.

Michael Lackomar, spokesman for the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia, an unrelated organization, says a member of his group was called by members the Hutaree Saturday who claimed their property was being raided. Lackomar says the Michigan militia member is cooperating with the FBI.

Michigan Militia members define themselves as survivalists who favor larger local government and smaller federal government. The group has been recognized recently for helping local officials in Bridgewater Township, Mich. locate missing persons.

The suspects in the Hutaree raid will make an appearance in a U.S. District Court on Monday.

Seems like they're taking preparing for battle rather seriously.

Not much in the big press about this yet. But the FBI seems to have, indeed, taken down a hard right militia. The kind that will give Conservatives a bad name.

Hutaree is being described (and self-described) as a Christian Militia who believe the Tribulations are begun and are apparently apparently getting ready to do something about it.

Maybe we haven't seen it in the MSM because they're afraid of stoking the fires in an already charged atmosphere. Maybe they just don't think it's a big enough story. I can't imagine eitherof those are actually the case. You would think with the allegations of threats this last week they would be on this like a tick on a dog. Maybe the FBI isn't done with what they need to do and have a bit of a gag order out there.

Or maybe they're just keeping this in their pocket for later. A good crisis and all that.

This is NOT The Tea Party Movement. These are not Town Hall participants. This is not what we are talking about when we talk about resisting and civil disobedience.

And it doesn't matter much if the MSM has it or not. Many smaller news sources do and so do some of the big blogs like Daily Kos. Who will play it for all they can, of course.

IF what we are told about this group is true, they are not Patriots, but extreme nutcases whose antics will do our cause harm.

Seven arrested in FBI raids linked to Christian militia group

At least seven people, including some from Michigan, have been arrested in raids by a FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana as part of an investigation into an Adrian-based Christian militia group, a person familiar with the matter said.

The suspects are expected to make an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Detroit on Monday.

On Sunday, a source close to the investigation in Washington, D.C. confirmed that FBI agents were conducting activities in Washtenaw and Lenawee counties over the weekend in connection to Hutaree, a Christian militia group. Detroit FBI Special Agent Sandra Berchtold told The Detroit News the federal warrants in the case are under court seal and declined further comment.

Sources have said the FBI was in the second day of raids around the southeastern Michigan city of Adrian that are connected to a militia group, known as the Hutaree, an Adrian-based group whose members describe themselves as Christian soldiers preparing for the arrival and battle with the anti-Christ.

WXYZ-TV reports that helicopters were spotted in the sky for much of Saturday night, and agents set up checkpoints throughout the area. Witnesses told the station that it was like a small army had descended on the area. The Department of Homeland Security and the Joint Terrorism Task Force are also involved in the raids.

Mike Lackomar, of Michiganmilitia.com, said both The Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia and the Michiganmilitia.com were not a part of the raid.

Lackomar said he heard from other militia members that the FBI targeted the Hutaree after its members made threats of violence against Islamic organizations.

"Last night and into today the FBI conducted a raid against homes belonging to the Hutaree. They are a religious cult. They are not part of our militia community," he said.

Lackomar said he was told there were five arrests Saturday and another five early Sunday. The FBI declined to comment.

One of the Hutaree members called a Michigan militia leader for assistance Saturday after federal agents had already began their raid, Lackomar said, but the militia member -- who is of Islamic decent and had heard about the threats -- declined to offer help. That Michigan militia leader is now working with federal officials to provide information on the Hutaree member for the investigation, Lackomar said Sunday.

"They are more of survivalist group and in an emergency they withdraw and stand their ground. They are actively training to be alongside Jesus," he said.

Sources from the Michigan militia community said one of the FBI raids took place Saturday during a wake for a Hutaree member who had died of natural causes. A Hutaree leader was arrested during the wake while at the same time agents were conducting raids at other locations.

The Associated Press is reporting that FBI spokesman Scott Wilson in Cleveland said agents arrested two people Saturday in northwest Ohio. A third arrest was made in Illinois on Sunday, a day after raids in northwest Indiana.

Dawud Walid, executive director of the Council on Islamic-American Relations of Michigan, made an announcement Sunday during the group's 10th anniversary banquet about receiving a call from a network journalist about the alleged threat against Muslims.

"Don't allow this news to scare you away from practicing your faith," said Walid.

Audible gaps were heard throughout the banquet hall when the news was announced. Walid said he will call local authorities about more information on the allegations. He urged local Muslims to recommitt themselves to their faith in light of the accusations.

Standard Progressive Violence and Intimidation

Andrew Breitbart on what happens when nasty Progressives encounter someone they disagree with:

"Andrew Breitbart witnessed first hand today the cunning manipulation and violence of the unhinged left. Harry Reid supporters stood on Highway 95 outside of Searchlight, Nevada and held signs steering tea party protesters heading to the Tea Party Express Showdown in Searchlight Rally in the wrong direction. Andrew also witnessed these violent leftists attacking the Tea Party Express bus with eggs as it drove by. The Harry Reid supporters then swarmed him, harassed him, threatened him and made false statements to the police."

The above describes the standard tactics used by Progressives when a "conservative" attempts to give a speech on a college campus. Apparently, they are planning on using their typical thuggish campus methods to silence anyone, anywhere who doesn't spout the Progressive party line. The Progressives showed up with eggs, they intentionally lied in order to misdirect Tea Party people, they made false statements to the police, and generally engaged in mob behavior. In other words, what they did last summer at congressional town meetings.

Meanwhile, the Progressive MSM smears the Tea Party people as inciting or engaging in violence. The Progressives must be real desperate in order to use such low methods. Oops my bad, Progressives have always used such Alinsky tactics. But, now we are on to them.

Fringe Alert : Most Say Tea Party Has Better Understanding of Issues than Congress

In official Washington, some consider the Tea Party movement a fringe element in society, but voters across the nation feel closer to the Tea Party movement than they do to Congress.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of U.S. voters believe the average member of the Tea Party movement has a better understanding of the issues facing America today than the average member of Congress. Only 30% believe that those in Congress have a better understanding of the key issues facing the nation.

When it comes to those issues, 47% think that their own political views are closer to those of the average Tea Party member than to the views of the average member of Congress. On this point, 26% feel closer to Congress.

Finally, 46% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is more ethical than the average member of Congress. Twenty-seven percent (27%) say that the average member of Congress is more ethical.
