So says forensic psychiatrist and author Henrik Day Poulsen, author of a book on fanaticism. Poulsen regular meets Islamism in his work with criminals. … 

‘- When we examine the criminal migrant youth, Islamism quite often plays a role. They have been inculcated a totally distorted worldview in which it is directly or indirectly ok to commit violence or rob a bank, because the whole life is a battle between Denmark and Islam, where they are on the good side. 

And when they are arrested and punished, they think again, it is an expression of that struggle. That it is because of racism. They simply cannot see that what they have done is wrong. It is very difficult to fight crime, that happens with the starting point, and the development is therefore very dangerous,’ says Henrik Day Poulsen. … 

It is the consequence when we hardly require participation in society. When they as children grow up with such a world view, it is clear that they feel marginalized and find it difficult to have success when they meet the rest of Denmark in school and on the work market. 

And that is exactly the feeling that extremists exploit. If we want to stop the development, we need to stop being naive and start making more demands concerning integration, says Henrik Day Poulsen. 

At the same time Danish society must stop and roll back any form of positive discrimination in favor of Muslims and people of other ethnic backgrounds, he said. ‘- If you allow positive discrimination, you are helping extremists paint a picture that they are a group with special rights. 

Therefore, it seems to me completely wrong to bend traditional Danish values ​​by allowing only halal meat in hospitals and schools.

Whenever I'm in these places, I feel as if I'm where I belong. I love the look of the places, the sound (I really like Celtic music), the art, the history, the accents, and the ordinary people I meet on the street. I even like the way these places smell. Whether I'm in Scotland or a Wales or the English countryside, there's this indefinable green, flowery, fresh smell that I've never experienced anywhere else. 

Having said that, I hate the fact that the UK has flooded itself with Muslims, raising the strong possibility of a majority population that has values antithetical to everything that is British; I hate the way the welfare state has leached away British values and backbone; and I hate the ascendency of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic feelings throughout the whole of the UK (and Ireland too). 

The UK, from Scotland on down, fundamentally lacks vitality. All of this means that, when I'm walking around glorying in a place that feels like my spiritual and aesthetic home, I can't decide whether I'm the equivalent of someone foolishly in love with a dying consumptive (very Bronte-ish) or if I'm the equivalent of someone even more foolishly in love with a wife-beater - and I'm the wife.

Despite the fact that Jack Lew was supposedly appointed to conduct an investigation into the IRS targeting, he behaves as if he is a passive receiver of information, that is, that he actually doesn't have any duty to investigate.

Asked over and over if he's even asked about some of the things he denies, he simply says "There is no evidence" to indicate that, say, Wilkins was involved, but also refuses to even ask the man.

Why ask him? "There's no evidence" which has been brought to him about Wilkins. So if the media continues doing its job of not doing its job, then the story goes away.

Palestinian President’s “Final Resolution” Ahead Of Obama-Sponsored Peace Talks: “Not A Single Israeli On Our Lands”

CAIRO (Reuters) – Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas laid out his vision on Monday for the final status of Israeli-Palestinian relations ahead of peace talks due to resume in Washington for the first time in nearly three years. 

Abbas said that no Israeli settlers or border forces could remain in a future Palestinian state and that Palestinians deem illegal all Jewish settlement building within the land occupied in the 1967 Six Days War. 

The forceful statements appeared to challenge mediator US Secretary of State John Kerry’s hopes that the terms of the talks, scheduled to begin Monday night over dinner, be kept secret. 

“In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli – civilian or soldier – on our lands,” Abbas said in a briefing to mostly Egyptian journalists. 

“An international, multinational presence like in Sinai, Lebanon and Syria – we are with that,” he said, referring to United Nations peacekeeping operations in those places.

Obama's Economic Plan: “Economy Would Be Much Better Off” With More Government Workers

President Barack Obama – citing the job losses since he took office — said “the economy would be much better off,” unemployment would be 6.5 percent and the national deficit would be in decline if there were more federal, state and local government workers. 

“If those layoffs had not happened, if public sector employees grew like they did in the past two recessions, the unemployment rate would be 6.5 instead of 7.5,” Obama said. “Our economy would be much better off, and the deficit would still be going down because we would be getting more tax revenue.” 

Obama spoke Tuesday at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Chattanooga, Tenn., where he promoted plans he said would help the middle class such as corporate tax reform, increased federal spending on infrastructure, more education spending, public-private partnerships and rolling back the sequester.

Florida Rep Outraged Over World History Textbook That Praises Islam and Denigrates Christianity

A world history book used in an Advanced Placement class is under review by a Florida school board over allegations it favors Islam at the expense of Christianity and Judaism.

State Rep. Ritch Workman told Fox News the Prentice World History textbook rewrites Islamic history and presents a biased version of the Muslim faith.

“The book has a 36-page chapter on Islam but no chapters on Christianity or Judaism,” Workman said. “It’s remarkably one-sided.”

The textbook is being used in an Advanced Placement class in Brevard County schools. The book is on a state-approved list and has been used in the school system for the past three years without any complaints.

Workman said he received a copy of the book and he said it’s clear the authors “make a very obvious attempt not to insult Islam by reshaping history.”

“If you don’t see it from the eyes of a parent, kids are going to take this book as gospel and believe that Christians and Jews were murderous barbarians and thank God the Muslims came along and the world is great,” he said.

For example, Workman said a reference to Mohammed and his armies taking over Medina states, “people happily accepted Islam as their way of life.”

“It leaves out that tens of thousands of Jews and non-believers were massacred by Mohammed’s armies,” he said. “It’s a blatant deception.”

Of course, no one is outraged, least of all Fareed Zakaria, that Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries are called Islamic nations.

FAREED ZAKARIA, HOST: A lot of Israeli-Arabs tell me that to describe Israel as a Jewish state essentially renders them invisible. And they are, you know, 20 percent of the population by some counts. Israelis have a state, Palestinians have a state. Why is it important there’d be Jews? 

MICHAEL OREN, ISRAELI AMBASSADOR TO UNITED STATES: Well, because the Jews are a people, and we have a right to self-determination. There are about 193 states in the world, Fareed. Most of them are nation states. The Bulgarians, the Hungarians, the Germans. 

ZAKARIA: But those are not religious categories. Those are national categories. 

OREN: The Jew is also a national category, and unlike countries like Denmark, that have a national church, unlike Great Britain that has a national church, we don’t have an official religion. We are a people and we are a nation state like most of those nation states in the world. And many of those nation states if not most of them have ethnic minorities that are loyal minorities, whose rights are respected. Some of them have an ethnic affiliation with another state. It’s very common, certainly in Europe and there’s nothing anomalous, nothing unusual about the arrangement we’re seeking.

Liberal Democrats Urge US Congress to Hold Off on Tougher Iran Sanctions

In a letter obtained by The Cable, Reps. Jim McDermott, John Conyers, Keith Ellison and Jim McGovern urge the House leadership to delay the vote on the bill which they fear could jeopardize the Obama administration’s renewed effort to engage Iran’s newly-elected President Hassan Rouhani on the country’s nuclear program.

The dispute highlights the wide gulf on Iran policy between Congress and the White House. On the one side, you have the Obama administrationeasing sanctionson Iran last week and planning to engage with Rouhani, a relative moderate, on the nuclear issue in September. On the other side, the Republican-controlled House wants to squeeze Iran’s oil exports to a trickle in a billexpectedto pass with ease. That bill could then move to the Senate Banking Committee in September.

"We believe that it would be counterproductive and irresponsible to vote on this measure before Iran’s new president is inaugurated on August 4, 2013," reads the letter. “A diplomatic solution remains the best possible means for ensuring that Iran does not acquire a nuclear weapon, and the House of Representatives should not preempt a potential opportunity to secure such an outcome with another sanctions bill."

Jim McDermott:

In September 2002 McDermott  traveled to Baghdad along with fellow Progressive Caucus member David Bonior and Rep. Mike Thompson. The three lawmakers embraced Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and created propaganda in his behalf, publicly expressing doubt about the Bush administration’s claims that Saddam’s regime had manufactured and stockpiled weapons of mass destruction. Interviewed upon his return to the United States by George Stephanopoulos on ABC, McDermott declared that President George W. Bush was “trying to provoke a war.” McDermott then told the startled Stephanopoulos that he found Saddam more credible than Bush: “I think you have to take the Iraqis on their value — at their face value [but] I think the President would mislead the American people.

When that interview was conducted, it was generally believed that the $5,510 travel expenses of McDermott’s trip to Baghdad had been paid entirely by the nonprofit organization Life for Relief and Development (LRD), an organization that regularly shipped food and medicine to Iraq. One of LRD’s financial supporters was Detroit-area Iraqi-American businessman Shakir al-Khafaji, who, according to an April 2004 investigation published by the Seattle Times, had received “lucrative vouchers for Iraqi oil from Saddam’s government."

John Conyers:

Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) banged a large wooden gavel and got the other lawmakers to call him “Mr. Chairman." He liked that so much that he started calling himself “the chairman" and spouted other chairmanly phrases, such as “unanimous consent" and “without objection so ordered." The dress-up game looked realistic enough on C-SPAN, so two dozen more Democrats came downstairs to play along.

The session was a mock impeachment inquiry over the Iraq war. As luck would have it, all four of the witnesses agreed that President Bush lied to the nation and was guilty of high crimes — and that a British memo on “fixed" intelligence that surfaced last month was the smoking gun equivalent to the Watergate tapes. Conyers was having so much fun that he ignored aides’ entreaties to end the session.The session took an awkward turn when witness Ray McGovern, a former intelligence analyst, declared that the United States went to war in Iraq for oil, Israel and military bases craved by administration “neocons" so “the United States and Israel could dominate that part of the world." He said that Israel should not be considered an ally and that Bush was doing the bidding of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

"Israel is not allowed to be brought up in polite conversation," McGovern said. “The last time I did this, the previous director of Central Intelligence called me anti-Semitic."Rep. James P. Moran Jr. (D-Va.), who prompted the question by wondering whether the true war motive was Iraq’s threat to Israel, thanked McGovern for his “candid answer."

At Democratic headquarters, where an overflow crowd watched the hearing on television, activists handed out documents repeating two accusations — that an Israeli company had warning of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and that there was an “insider trading scam" on 9/11 — that previously has been used to suggest Israel was behind the attacks.

Keith Ellison:

• Says that Farrakhan “is a role model for black youth,” “is not an anti-Semite,” and “is a sincere, tireless, and uncompromising advocate of the black community and other oppressed people around the world”
• Spoke favorably of the high-profile murderers and leftist icons Mumia Abu Jamal, Assata Shakur, and Geronimo Pratt

As a third-year law student in 1989-90, Ellison penned two columns for the Minnesota Daily under the name “Keith Hakim.” In the first piece, he made respectful reference to “MinisterLouis Farrakhan,” defended the incendiary Nation of Islam (NOI) spokesman and black supremacist Khalid Abdul Muhammad, and, as The Weekly Standard reports, spoke “in the voice of a Nation of Islam advocate.” In the second piece, Ellison demanded reparations for slavery and said that African Americans should be offered the option of settling in an all-black, geographically self-contained “homeland” if they wished to do so. In February 1990, Ellisonparticipated in sponsoring Kwame Ture (a.k.a. Stokely Carmichael) to speak at his law school on the subject, “Zionism: Imperialism, White Supremacy, or Both?”—a speech that proved to be deeply anti-Semitic.

White House Creates “Nudge Squad” To Get Americans To Behave How They See Fit…

The federal government is hiring what it calls a “Behavioral Insights Team” that will look for ways to subtly influence people’s behavior, according to a document describing the program obtained by FoxNews.com. Critics warn there could be unintended consequences to such policies, while supporters say the team could make government and society more efficient.

While the program is still in its early stages, the document shows the White House is already working on such projects with almost a dozen federal departments and agencies including the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Agriculture.

“Behavioral sciences can be used to help design public policies that work better, cost less, and help people to achieve their goals,” reads the government document describing the program, which goes on to call for applicants to apply for positions on the team.

The document was emailed by Maya Shankar, a White House senior adviser on social and behavioral sciences, to a university professor with the request that it be distributed to people interested in joining the team. The idea is that the team would “experiment” with various techniques, with the goal of tweaking behavior so people do everything from saving more for retirement to saving more in energy costs.

“People are tired of the two wars. They’re tired of Afghanistan. They’re tired of Iraq.They’re tired of it.”

Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, recognizing not only the reality of democracies at war, but the effect exerted on budgets for defense.

Time and again, the US House last week considered amendments to a Pentagon spending bill. And each time, unlikely coalitions of Republicans and Democrats voted to divert funds from Afghanistan projects, slash war spending — and nearly kill a controversial anti-terrorism program.

An examination of vote records reveals a pattern that exposes fissures in what Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter dubbed Capitol Hill’s “solid center” that since 9/11 “always” supported defense issues.

Time and again, members of this once-solid pro-defense voting bloc rejected spending hundreds of billions of dollars on new Afghanistan infrastructure projects and even on the country’s security forces, which White House and Pentagon officials say is the key to keeping out the Taliban and al-Qaida after US troops leave.

Time and again, once pro-defense members joined other Republicans and Democrats to form a deficit-slashing voting bloc that reflects the priorities of many Americans and an increasing number of their representatives.

And time and again, members like Reps. Loretta Sanchez, Jim Moran, Walter Jones, Mike Coffman and John Garamendi voted with the increasingly powerful deficit-hawk bloc.

Sanchez, D-Calif., is the ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee’s (HASC’s) Tactical Air and Land Forces subcommittee. Moran, D-Va., is a senior member of the Appropriations Committee’s defense subcommittee (HAC-D) who hails from a state with a robust national security presence. All are considered pro-defense.

“All of this comes down to money,” said Christopher Preble, a national security analyst at the Cato Institute. “The question more [lawmakers] are asking is, ‘Just where are you going to find that money?’”

Six adopted amendments that diverted funds from Afghanistan projects or forces received 823 GOP votes and 897 Democratic votes, a stunning bipartisan statement about America’s involvement there beyond 2014 for a chamber known more recently for partisan brawls.

Therefore, the corollary of this reality is that if a democracy wants to WIN a war, they must do so QUICKLY.

How is this achieved?

Let’s ask the master of such warfare.

The enemy and his ability to wage whatever kind of warfare they have chosen to wage against democracies, must be KILLED, their support system obliterated, then the remaining enemy population’s will to fight DESTROYED.

This is the world. These are the facts. This is human nature.

A cheer rocked Congregation Beth El on Sunday afternoon as their rabbi was about to be married.

“This is a day that God has made and this is a day that the state of Maine has made,” Rabbi Joe Black said as he began the wedding ceremony that united Rabbi Darah Lerner and Kelly Quagliotti, her partner of 27 years, in holy matrimony.

“This is a day about celebrating equality,” Black of Denver said. “This is a day about celebrating community.”

Lerner has been the rabbi of Bangor’s Reform synagogue on French Street since July 2005. She has been an outspoken supporter of gay rights and same-sex marriage in Maine for the past seven years.

So let me tell you what I know..

These 2 people DESERVE happiness. FACT.

These 2 people found it farther back in time than MOST of the married couples we know, LASTED, and have been together since. FACT.

These 2 people DESERVE the same legal protections to each other’s health and property as anyone else. FACT.

Don’t quote the bible (either testament to me) to denigrate this, because I will point out that the Quran says a lot of things as well.

I know them both, since 2005.

No matter where the Rabbi’s and my political thoughts converge and diverge, and they do both in surprising ways, our congregation is made better by this Rabbi and her beautiful partner. And better still, they are a match for this congregation.

The cheers were real, as loud as can be, and deserved, and when it suddenly occurred to Mrs. Epa and I sitting in the Temple that this may have been a first .. the first clerical same sex marriage in Maine, and we asked them if they knew .. he is what they said …

"WE DON’T KNOW, WE DIDN’T THINK OF IT."

Gee…. just like everyone else.

And just like all newlyweds, you could feel the love.

So, what are “programs that lift people in need"?

A check doesn’t do it. It just staves off fear momentarily and created addiction.

The AVAILABILITY of not MERELY jobs at Dunkin’ which will come and go, but careers which stand the test of time even if remedial education and certifications are compulsory is what is NEEDED for this.

What ARE such situations?

Time to stop bitching and look for ideas, people.

You know, where Apple has nearly ALL its manufacturing ‘campuses’ and production can switch from 2 inch screens to motherboards in HOURS? Where Samsung makes ALL the screens they sell to EVERYONE?

The USA HAS NO SUCH ZONE.

The presence of such a zone does not guarantee success, but where success has been allowed to define itself, EVERYONE gains (and China is both an example and a warning as to the success and the dangers for workers)

But what are we doing?

We are watching and scratching our asses as leaders WE ELECTED ponder with glee, drooling with the anticipation of moving city workers to Obamacare Exchanges, which don’t even exist, and VOIDING the promise to their workers who were PREVENTED from contributing and being eligible for MEDICARE.

NO ONE IS TAKING POSITIVE ACTION IN GOVT.

A GROWING ECONOMY SOLVES ALL PROBLEMS.
Homelessness. 
Tax Revenue.
Disposable income spending.
Mortgage default.
