I will not have much to say about the SNAFU that was Obama's appearance at the Portsmouth, NH, town hall meeting because, after several hundred supporters and protestors stood in the pouring rain and then steaming sun for up to 5 hours the Transparent President's motorcade went around a different way, and he sneaked in through the back of the high school. This did not go over well with the crowd. On the other hand, I'm sure his devoted followers inside the building (including Ken Burns who came strolling up the street looking exactly as he did 25 years ago) had a mahrvelous time dahlings.
Most of the Obamabots arrived on buses with professionally pre-printed signs. At least 25% of them showed up wearing identical STOP GLOBAL WARMING t-shirts which does give one pause as to the connection between that and the Obama Hellcare Plan. Not much SEIU presence but a lot of AFL-CIO, etc. The LaRouchies showed up with ObamaHitler signs, strolled into the pro-Obama crowd and refused to leave. Our side looked very scanty until about 10 am when an additional 50 or so showed up and more or less evened it out. Their side had a Jamaican drum band but we had more and better bullhorn orators.
I don't really give a rat's ass what went on in the meeting because it was all prepackaged anyway.

Did not hear about the alleged incident where one of the union thugs assaulted a Free Stater but there were definitely some burly types present and the crowd was spread out over a couple blocks.
I've been posting this question on every blog and newsblog I can find. Why are union members showing up at town hall meetings outside of their district when UNION MEMBERS ARE EXEMPT FROM OBAMACARE? Congress and union are exempt. Unions are exempt because health insurance is part of their collective bargaining contract. So the only reason that unions would be there, especially when outside of their own district is to intimindate and act as enforcers for the president's cause. It's going to play pretty badly if some senior gets roughed up by some union thug. But this also shows that the pressure is working. On the bad side, Geithner is trying to pass through raising the debt limit as a way of making all these nonsensical legislation appear to be deficit neutral.
