Amir Normandi in support of his sisters

Hejab-Again
Amir Normandi

No relenting, the struggling women of Iran need our continued support. A.N.

Amir from Testing Human Rights is our brave Iranian Infidel friend.

A few months ago, I told him, "Amir, I think the Iranian government is checking your blog".

He replied, "That's good, send me Mullahs!"

We need a "turn hate filled fatwas into dollars" program ...

On a more serious note, yes, Amir's work is amazing. Likely many men are rethinking their career choices right now. :)

Pastorius,

So true.
But if I may just help a little with all those artists hanging around your great blog lately!

Amir Normandi is an Iranian dissident photographer, really living in the Chicago. His work, you will remember , was taken down at Palantine college because some Muslim students found offensive the sigh of skin under burqas or of Muslim man holding a machine gun.

Sami Mohammed is the sculptor and painter living happily in Kuwait. His work, as you have noticed, is just awesome. I think it is the most powerful art I have ever seen around. His approach could remind us of Goya's and Francis Bacon's, but deeper and freer. If anyone has seen anything close to what he does, I would love to know about it.

Expect a post on him soon. :-)

Both men are amazing artists and great guys.

Leap!
Hum,fatwas turned into dollars" program ...
How can we do that?
