SADR ON SOCCER

It appears that even soccer isn't safe from Jewish conspiracy theories. At least not according to al-Sadr.
Omar at Iraq the Model has translated a video of Sadr explaining why soccer is to be avoided.
Ole' Mookie sounds like he has taken one too many "hits" to the head.

Wondering what Muqtada thinks of soccer? Here's the answer in his own words. (Right click then 'save target as' to download, opens with real media player).
No, I wasn't smoking anything when I translated the video; this is how the "nationalist young cleric" normally speaks!

Transcript:

Actually my father-bless his soul-did not spare an effort in this regard but it wasn't only him who forbid these things so to speak but it's sharia in general that forbids these things that distract worshippers from their worshipping and distract people from remembering Allah.

Habibi the west made things for us that distract us from our integration, uh, what it put for us? Made us run after a ball habibi…that is like 'eat gargary'* habibi. What does it mean to see a man, big tall and wide and…Muslim, runs after a ball?
Habibi, you, er, the goal that is the, the 'GOAl' as they say, if you want to run after it, run after a high goal habibi, go you behind high goals that integrate you, not those that lower you. Run after a goal, put it in your mind; everyone draws a road for himself to take and to reach for the satisfaction of almighty Allah. This is one, the second thing and more important from that; we find that the west, and especially Israel…er, habibi the Jews, have you seen them play football? Ever seen them indulge in games like other indulge and the Arabs indulge?

They left us to waste time of football and other things while they left it…Ever heard the Israeli team, something be upon it, damn be upon it, reached for example or took the world-cup? Or even America habibi! Except for some other games…They let us waste time on it…singing, football, and and and smoking and stuff and satellites in forbidden things are used and so on; they left us to do forbidden things and they mostly turned to scientific things and thingy things.

Why habibi? Are they better than us? No, we are better than them.
This is possible, more than that, to another point, there are games favored by the religion, do them, I mean, must you run after a ball!? Why not go swimming? Swimming is encouraged, horse riding, fencing, so and so, these are games you can indulge yourself in; just like that distracts, these distract as well.Running! Run! Sport! Move your legs move your head move stuff, all organs move. Why everyone runs after a ball habibi?

These are mentalistic things that can be done, and those are non-mentalistic things that cannot be done….

*gargary is the earliest Iraqi version of lollipops, basically sugar cast in animal shapes for kids to suck on.

Oh no, not at all. In fact, some of our gems over at The Ultimate Insult have come from the soccer world in fact. Oh well, even the Europeans finally get up some fighting spirit over soccer, I guess it can be expected.

AlSadr!!

What is he doing still walking around anyway and yaking on sports and moving organs?

"These are mentalistic things that can be done, and those are non-mentalistic things that cannot be done…." Al Sard allias La Sardine pour les Francais.

What is a mentalistic thing?

Well at least Iranian women will be allowed to watch soccer in the stadium ,provided that they saty far from the males and fully hidden in their black sleeping bags.

Well, as long as there are no cups or other disposable items containing the Saudi flag. Funny how attempts to bring nations together can destroy a soccer tournament and major corporations simultaneously, eh? Apparently, Muslims don't like the fact that the flag, which has written on it the "Shahada" was being used on things which could be desecrated by eating off of them and then being put into the trash. Tisk, tisk. Oh, the pains we get for trying to be nice to other countries.

What insanity.
I have to come to the conclusion that who ever agree with that is simply an idiot!

So no flag on a on a mug, in case they use it for drinking tea? Is that it?

What about what their eyes touch (...)? They read the koran with their eyes and repeat the "peaceful" trash in it with their mouths.
I think they should stop all unholy human activities, like you know what.

Well we know that bringing nations together is not one mandate sports events honestly encourage. It is mostly bringing nations againts each other wrapping athletes and crowds in excessive nationalism. Maybe I am too harsh, but when I see the what soccer has become in Europe and the Olympics, I can't barely watch. The politics in sports stink to high heaven. My partner is a former Olympian, Pim's, he did 3 Olympics and 8 world champpionship in bobsleight, today he says it is a little less dirty as it was back then. One event he still rages on is the Munic massacre. really games are not about the work of athletes, they are about anythng else.

In Munick 1976, modern terrorism was born.
The West versus East-
In 1980, the West boycott the Moscow games after the U.S.S.R invaded Afagnistan in 1979.
In 1984 , U.S.S.R. revenge and boycott the L.A. games as you remember.

Everything is poltics: sports, art events, religions, international aids (AI included). It will never change, might as well accept it and not let the organizers and leaders think they are fooling us.
End of rant.
