It is almost impossible to believe that after the genocide of over six million Jews, the political committee of the General Assembly met (without a dissenting vote) to invite the Arav Higher Committee to testify before it on the Palestine [actually Israel] question.

It is hard to believe that the rag we know of today, "The Nation," was fierce in its pursuit of the truth and assembling an incredible document - an extraordinary collection of documents and photos showing collusion of the Arab League with the fascist governments and Nazis during the War, background of the Mufti's aides, documents in Arabic, French and German are translated. Includes for instance Hitler's pledge to the Mufti for help in Iraq revolt of 1941, other material on Iraq, Italians pledge to abolish Jewish National Home, letters from Mufti to discourage Jewish emigration from Germany. Mufti was head of the Arab Higher Committee. This document is a real indictment of the Arab Committee and the Mufti for abetting the destruction of European Jewry during the Shoah.

The head of the Arab Higher Committee was the Mufti Haj Haj Amin el-Husseini, a brutal jihadi responsible for repeated massacres of the Jews prior to the Holocaust.

The Arab Higher Committee of Palestine is a creature of the Arab League comprising Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Transjordan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The head of the Arab Higher Committee is the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin el-Husseini, a full partner of the Axis before and during World War II, an escaped prisoner of war who has found asylum in the Palace of the King of Egypt.

The Arab Higher Committee, representing the six Arab parties of Palestine, came into existence in 1936. A year later it was established that the Mufti and his associates in the Arab Higher Committee were responsible for the 1936 riots which took a toll of hundreds of British, Jewish, and Arab lives. Accordingly, the Palestine government in 1937 declared the committee illegal and ordered it disbanded. Some of its members were arrested and sent to Seychelles. Others, including its chairman, the Mufti of Jerusalem, escaped to Syria whence they continued to direct Arab operations. During his exile in Syria, the Mufti even succeeded in liquidating most of the Arab leaders of Palestine who opposed him and his policies.

Until 1943, the Arab Higher Committee had no formal existence. The Mufti, in the interval, had moved from Syria to Iraq where he organized the revolt against the British in 1941. When that failed, he fled to Germany and there played his role as Axis ally in the war against the United Nations.

In 1943, a number of prominent Palestinian Arabs made an effort to establish an Arab Higher Committee but were prevented from achieving their purpose by followers of the Mufti who had remained in Palestine during the war and who feared that, in the absence of the Mufti, the new body would oust them from leadership.

In 1944, however, the effort to establish an Arab Higher Committee was given stimulus when the Arab states, under British incentive, began to form what has now become known as the Arab League. In September of that year, political leaders from the neighboring Arab countries came to Palestine to urge Palestinian Arabs to agree among themselves on the composition of an Arab Higher Committee. These attempts again met with failure, due in every instance to the opposition of the followers of the Mufti who were hopefully awaiting his return from Germany and his resumption of leadership.

A temporary truce was established in 1944 when Musa el Alami, a mild supporter of the Mufti, was recognized by the Arab league as the sole representative of Palestinian Arabs, pending the formation of a Palestine Arab Higher Committee.

A few months after V-E Day, when the Husseini family, to their great astonishment, found that the British were reluctant to try the Mufti as a war criminal, they were emboldened openly to demand the return of the Mufti and his aides to Palestine. In this they were joined by the Arab states and the Arab League.

The League was the culmination of more than four years of effort which had been encouraged by Anthony Eden, then, Foreign Secretary of Great Britain [1]. Sadly, we will see this Jew hatred repeatedly in the Brits. Time and again, they sided with the annihilationists. It is no small wonder their country today is overrun by the very evil they empowered. Karma.

Back to the Mufti's early and pre-eminent role in the Third Reich.

The captured files of the German High Command in Flansburg at the war's end reveal that the Arab [Muslim] riots of 1936 in Palestine [Israel] were carried out by the Mufti with funds supplied by the Nazis. The report states: "only through funds made available by Germany to the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was it possible to carry out the revolt in Palestine." [source 1 page 5]

The Muslim riots of 1936 were merely a continuation of the 1929 riots that led to the massacre of 133 Jews, 239 wounded. It is apparent, early on, that the Grand Muslim Mufti meant to wipe the Jews off the map.

For the record: The ARD took off in 1952 as Deutsches Fernsehen ("German Television"), switching to Erstes Deutsches Fernsehen ("First German Television") at the advent of ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen in 1963, a name which it later adopted officially, indicating that it is the country's primary network. The newsflick includes a feature covering the release of "shoethrower" Mountazer / Muntazer al-Zaidi / Montasser al-Saidi in Iraq. It starts at 14:43. Switch right through to the end, where the coverage of his press conference ends at 15:07 on an interesting note and, even more interestingly, rather abruptly.

The makers of this ARD news feature don't even begin to make an attempt to distance themselves from the fawning reception Mr. Shoethrower got within the Arab world. Here, too, the gist comes across to non-German speakers as well, or so I think.

The Post-Racial Age Has Arrived in Germany

...or: About people born on the right side. Twice.

The post-racial message of America's President Obama has finally arrived in Germany. How have we survived so long without it?

The director of the publicly funded "Workshop of Cultures" (Werkstatt der Kulturen), "theatermaker" and ethnologist Philippa Ebéné, decided Thursday to remove educational panels covering the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini from a planned exhibiton at her premises to the disgust of a district mayor, the curator of the exhibit and the Berlin Jewish community.

The exhibit covers the immensely topical issue "The Third World during the Second World War" and three of 96 exhibit panels are dedicated to the REALLY topical issue of the mufti's collaboration with the Nazis who had a decisive influence on the Holocaust (we reported many times already). Ebéné stated that she refused to display the information on Husseini out of respect for joint Arab organisations. Her decision was supported by migration commissioner of the Berlin Senate, Günter Piening. In a neighbourhood (heavily dominated by Muslims) like Neukölln a "differentiated presentation" was paramount, Piening stated.

Maya Zehden, a spokeswoman for the Berlin Jewish community, termed Piening's statement "an appeasement attempt" to ignore the fact that "there was no official resistance from the Arabic world against the persecution of Jews" during the Shoah. She accused Piening of showing a false tolerance to German-Arabs in a heavily Muslim-influenced neighborhood.

In an e-mail to the JPost, Heinz Buschkowsky, the district mayor in Neukölln, wrote that it is a sign of "anticipatory obedience to avoid probable protests. I do not consider this position to be good", notabene pointing out that Piening's statement is a "repression of the facts dealing with anti-Semitism."

Meanwhile, Ebéné denied that there was an "agreement" with the local Muslim community to censor the exhibit. She termed media queries regarding an agreement as "Eurocentric." The Jeruslem Post was informed that the exhibit was intended as a "homage to soldiers from African" countries who fought against the Nazis. Indeed, a crucial aspect of WWII so far totally neglected.

When asked about her opposition to the inclusion of the mufti panels, she asked, "was there ever a commemoration event in Israel to honor the [African] soldiers?" In an Interview with Radio Berlin Brandenburg Ebéné, who has a German mother and a father from Cameroon and is thus, so to say by birth and per definitionem, on the right side, stated: I am not white. I have no reason to be afraid of Arabs", which is rather endearing for somebody who is allegedly heavy into informing the world about the African slave-trade.

My take on all this? This is so rock-solid, die-hard, intransigently and impregnally stupid and so full of the usual German "antifa", politically correct, "fight against the right", "multiculti"anti-West and racist crap, that it defies any serious comment, because that would lend her antics a credibility they don't possess. That Ebéné is first confusing Fascism and National-Socialism and then, when challenged, peddling her family's (the German side, that is) history of saving Jewish children to show that she is by birth DOUBLY on the right side, is only the icing on the cake.

Of course, the reaction of the public, the political classes and the media, or the question how Ebéné could end up in such a position at all, are a different matter.

The Warsaw Ghetto was the largest of the Jewish ghettos established by Nazi Germany in Warsaw, former capital of Poland in the General Government during the Holocaust in World War II. Primary materials, footage and photographs shot by the Nazis themselves, and the narrator was a survivor of the ghetto. Between 1941 and 1943, starvation, disease and deportations to concentration camps and extermination camps dropped the population of the ghetto from an estimated 450,000 to approximately 70,000.

In 1943 the Warsaw Ghetto was the scene of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the first urban mass rebellion against the Nazi occupation of Europe. The Warsaw Ghetto was established by the German Governor-General Hans Frank on October 16, 1940. At this time, the population of the Ghetto was estimated to be 440,000 people, about 37% of the population of Warsaw. However, the size of the Ghetto was about 4.5% of the size of Warsaw. Nazis then closed off the Warsaw Ghetto from the outside world on November 16, 1940, building a wall with armed guards.

During the next year and a half, thousands of the Polish Jews as well as some Romani people from smaller cities and the countryside were brought into the Ghetto, while diseases (especially typhoid) and starvation kept the inhabitants at about the same number. Average food rations in 1941 for Jews in Warsaw were limited to 253 kcal, compared to 2,325 kcal for gentile Poles and 5,613 kcal for German people. The life in the ghetto was chronicled by the Oyneg Shabbos group.

In 1942 Polish resistance fighter Jan Karski reported to the Western governments on the situation in the Ghetto and on the extermination camps. Round-up of residents of the Ghetto, January 1943. Over 100,000 of the Ghetto's residents died due to rampant disease or starvation, as well as random killings, even before the Nazis began massive deportations of the inhabitants from the Ghetto's Umschlagplatz to the Treblinka extermination camp during Operation Reinhard.

Between Tisha B'Av, July 23, 1942, and Yom Kippur, September 21, 1942, about 254,000 Ghetto residents were sent to Treblinka and murdered there. By the end of 1942, it was clear that the deportations were to their deaths, and many of the remaining Jews decided to fight. On the eve of WW2 the Jewish population in Warsaw numbered 337,000, about 29% of the total population of the city, this figure rose to 445,000 by March 1941. Early September 1939 following the German invasion of Poland on 31 August 1939, the German forces reached the southern and western parts of the city on 8 and 9 September 1939. Within a few days they had surrounded the city from all sides, Warsaw bravely stood up to the German siege for 3 weeks, with air attacks and artillery shelling causing heavy damage and significant loss of life.

As a result of the constant bombardments from the air and by artillery fire, there was a great exodus from the city. Warsaw's mayor Stefan Starzynski appointed Adam Czerniakow as Chairman of the Jewish Council on 23 September 1939. From the first days of the occupation the Jews were subjected to attacks and discrimination, such as being driven from food lines, seized for forced labour and assaults on religious Jews wearing their traditional garbs. Teachers, craftsman, professionals, members of welfare and cultural institutions lost their positions, without any compensation, with little or no prospect of obtaining similar positions.

The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

A premonition of death hovered over the medieval section of Warsaw. Surrounded by a 10-foot wall of brick and barbed wire, the most run-down section of Poland’s capital was packed with some 500,000 Jews, nearly 10 times the number of people it originally housed. The time was October 1940, and the curtain had descended upon the Jews in Nazi-occupied Warsaw.

Inside the Ghetto ragged, barefooted, emaciated children wandered aimlessly about the streets. Orphans held the hands of their younger siblings, searching for shreds of life lost after the Nazis herded them into a nightmare. Their frostbitten hands, a by-product of the brutal Polish winter, groped feebly for morsels of food. Catatonic youngsters snuggled up to their mothers hoping for warmth from what had become just another corpse on the streets of Warsaw. Mothers, begging for food, traipsed the carcass-laden sidewalks clutching their dead babies which they refused to surrender for burial.

Hopeless skeletal adults looked away from these helpless children as they scrounged the streets to feed their hapless aging parents. Those who had collapsed from hunger were sprawled unconscious on the streets and sidewalks. By the winter of 1941, tens of thousands had perished from starvation and raging infectious diseases.

Shootings, hangings, beatings, and deception indiscriminately administered by German Fuhrer Adolf Hitler’s storm troopers daily increased the toll. Fooled by SS promises of better living conditions, food, and work, many of the Jews in the Ghetto had volunteered to go “east.” By the following summer, 80 percent of them had gone “east” to death camps. “The camp commandant at Treblinka told me that he had liquidated 80,000 in the course of half a year,” SS Death Head Group officer and Auschwitz Commandant Rudolf Hoess frankly testified at the Nuremberg Trials. “He was principally concerned with liquidating all the Jews from the Warsaw ghetto.”

Terror led to madness and suicide as the doomed Ghetto dwellers heard about abattoirs at the end of some railway lines bearing names like Treblinka, Chelmno, and Auschwitz.

Some Jews decided to act, instead of going quietly into the night on the Treblinka express. Small groups of young Jews organized — among them the Zydowska Organizacja Bojowa (ZOB) and the Zydowski Zwiazek Wojskowy (ZZW). They recognized that their situation was dismal. They knew they were disarmed and surrounded, and that the mighty Nazi army they faced had subjugated much of Europe. Yet, without any realistic hope of success, they fought back. In so doing, they demonstrated once again that tyrants cannot stamp out man’s yearning for freedom — a yearning that resides in the inner kingdom of the soul, beyond the reach of murderous dictatorships.

The Jewish Army Strikes

With an arsenal of only two pistols, the underground’s first and most important order of business was to procure guns. Jews operating covertly in “Aryan” Warsaw made use of relationships cultivated with the Polish underground, the Polish government in exile, and Jews in London, Palestine, and the United States in order to obtain weapons. Guns purchased through the black market and money from abroad to buy additional weapons were smuggled into the Ghetto. Women and children were taught to shoot.

As wild rumors of imminent mass roundups set off panic during the summer of ’42, the Jewish army of the Warsaw Ghetto razed a warehouse filled with confiscated Jewish property. “We collected mattresses and furniture,” Zivia Lubetkin proudly recalled. “Anything inflammable, [we] piled them together and set them on fire. Success! The flames swept into a great blaze and crackled in the night, dancing and twisting in the air. We rejoiced as we saw the reflection of the revenge that was burning inside us, the symbol of the Jewish armed resistance that we had yearned for, for so long.”

Meanwhile, the SS increased the transports “east.” Barbarous raids escalated day and night. Jews were shot at random for no apparent reason. Hysteria intensified as word came back to the Ghetto about deportations from other ghettos to the death camps at Belzec and Sobibor.
By the winter of 1942-43, nearly 300,000 Jews had been packed into cattle cars destined primarily for the gas chambers at Treblinka. In September 1942, an escapee from the death camp returned to the Ghetto with his horrid eyewitness testimony. It mirrored precisely what the other escapees revealed about the mass gassing and killing of Jews in Chelmno.

Jewish resisters distributed leaflets throughout the Ghetto to inform the 50,000 remaining Jews about Treblinka and specifically alert them about SS deceit. “Today every Jew should know the fate of those resettled,” the leaflets warned. “The same fate awaits the remaining few left in Warsaw. The conclusion then is: Don’t let yourself be caught! Hide, don’t let yourself be taken away. Run away, don’t be fooled by registrations, selections, numbers and roll calls! Jews, help one another! Take care of the children!”

The Jews went underground. They feverishly constructed bunkers and hideouts in anticipation of the final liquidation. The configuration was ingenious. Camouflaged entrances led to bunkers, secret rooms, attics, and basements that were inter-connected by newly constructed passageways. Through a maze of underground tunnels and sewers, the ZZW connected the Ghetto with “Aryan” Warsaw. Electricity was adroitly diverted from the Warsaw power grids. The resisters set up illegal radios to communicate with the various underground units. Food and supplies acquired from warehouses were cleverly stored. An extraordinary subterranean defense was erected in days.

Guns, however, remained the most important life and death priority. The Jewish underground did not get much help from the Polish Home Army. “As a trial I gave them a few pistols,” Commander in Chief Stefan Rowecki radioed his superiors in London in January 1943, “I am not sure they will use the weapons altogether. More weapons I will not give.” Weapons purchased at extravagant costs were smuggled in by couriers, oftentimes by children. And after exhaustive meetings with the Polish Home Army, the underground negotiated for some 60 revolvers, dozens of hand grenades and various explosives.

The Ghetto Jews Go to War

On January 18, 1943, the SS, as well as Latvian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian and Polish forces, looking to sweep up thousands for transport to the “east,” came face to face with the Ghetto Jewish resistance. “No one believed we would survive. Me neither,” recalled Shalom Stefan Grayek. “But I just wanted one thing. I wanted to avenge myself and those who murdered my family, my friends and my people.”

Many SS fell in battle as Jews struck first with grenades, Molotov cocktails, and incendiary devices, and then picked them off with ease when the SS forces were caught in a crossfire while making their retreat. Lacking weaponry, the Jewish resistance used every means at their disposal to expel the enemy, even deploying boiling water from above.

Amidst the explosions, whizzing bullets, and blinding smoke, underground members dashed onto the streets to retrieve weapons, grenades, and ammunition from the dead and wounded. Every grenade, gun and bullet had great value! The valiant resistance from rooftops, bunkers, attics and makeshift defensive positions forced the SS and their friendly “volunteers” to evacuate.

The mighty German army was stunned and confused. “SS agents who stood some distance away and many gendarmes who fled in confusion cried out: ‘The Jews are shooting!’” remembered Yitzhak Katznelson. “I, myself, heard these astonished cries from the lips of a vile loathsome German as he ran down the stairs of the house which he had entered for the deliberate purpose of killing us. ‘The Jews are shooting!’ he cried out in utter bewilderment. Something unheard of! Jews firing! ‘They have guns!’” Estimates placed Third Reich casualties at nearly 200. More than 600 Jews died, and an additional 5,000 were grabbed and sent on to their deaths.

The Jewish victory electrified the insurgents and those in hiding. Morale energized the Ghetto Jews as they celebrated their Homeric victory over Hitler’s forces. In Berlin, however, the mood was quite different. The German retreat terrified the Nazi high command, including Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels. “The Jews have actually succeeded in making a defensive position of the Ghetto,” complained Goebbels. “Heavy engagements are being fought there which led even to the Jewish Supreme Command issuing daily communiques. Of course this fun won’t last long.” Little did Goebbels realize that the operation, which the experienced SS expected to complete in several days, would instead drag on for months. “It shows what is to be expected of the Jews when they are in possession of arms,” he warned.

Fighting to the End

While Jews worldwide commemorated the Exodus of Hebrews from Pharaoh’s enslavement in Egypt, Hitler’s SS was poised to carry out their Fuhrer’s order at daybreak — the hellish deportation of all Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto to death camps in the “east.” In the parlance of the Supreme Leader’s new world order, this was known as “resettlement.”

On hand this time was the experienced 48-year-old SS General Juergen Stroop. Seasoned in crushing partisan resistance and massacring civilians, the general was ready to assume direct command if anything like the January fiasco occurred.

The underground, meanwhile, readied itself for the assault. Its leader, Mordechai Anielewicz, who was half Stroop’s age, gave the command. “He who has arms will fight. He who has no arms — women and children — will go down into the bunkers.”

Jews rushed about the Ghetto in a frenzy, finding places to hide. Some descended into sewers. Others scrambled into prepared hiding places in cellars and attics. They squeezed into vaults, behind and inside furniture, and below floor openings. Unimaginably, some even sought refuge in latrines.

At 6:00 a.m. on April 9, 1943, more than 2,000 SS soldiers, along with additional Latvian, Lithuanian, and Ukrainian volunteers, advanced onto the silent, eerie and deserted streets of the Warsaw Ghetto. This time they brought tanks. Armed with heavy and hand-held machine guns, howitzers, and rifles, the nervous invading army hugged the sides of buildings as it carefully made its way through the ghost town. Artillery support was ready. An underground lookout with his pistol and hand grenades spotted the skull and crossbones and alerted his commander.

Overwhelmingly outnumbered, overmatched and outgunned, the resistance struck first with grenades, Molotov cocktails, and incendiary bottles. Then it attacked with machine gun, rifle and pistol fire. A tank burst into flames. Mangled, burned, and bullet-riddled German assault forces lay dead on the bloody streets. After fierce fighting, Colonel von Sammern-Frankenegg’s troops hastily retreated.

“When the Germans came up to our posts and marched by and we threw those hand grenades and bombs, and saw German blood pouring over the streets of Warsaw, after we saw so much Jewish blood running in the streets of Warsaw before that, there was rejoicing,” boasted a proud Zivia Lubetkin. “And after an hour we saw the officer hastening his soldiers to retreat, to collect their dead and their wounded. But they did not move, they did not collect their dead and their wounded. We took their arms later. And thus on the first day, we the few with our poor arms drove the Germans away from the ghetto.” The Germans left behind some 20 casualties.

SS General Stroop was stunned and embarrassed. He was especially incensed by a blue and white Hebrew flag hoisted from a window. With the blessings of his boss, Heinrich Himmler, Stroop took command. He initially ordered his troops, with assistance from petrified Jewish prisoners, to lure Jews out of hiding with promises of food, jobs, and housing if they peacefully resettled east. The Ghetto Jews did not bite. Recognizing the deception, and ignoring the subsequent order to surrender, the resistance fought back with hand grenades and explosives. Stroop called for artillery. The resistance withstood the barrage and heavy gunfire exchanges. After hours of brutal fighting, Stroop saw his troops pull back again.

As the latest Nazi offensive collapsed, Stroop realized he had underestimated Jewish resolve and courage. As he acknowledged in his final report to Berlin, “It became apparent that the Jews no longer had any intention to resettle voluntarily, but were determined to resist evacuation…. Over and over again new battle groups consisting of 20 to 30 Jewish men, accompanied by a corresponding number of women, kindled new resistance.”

In the ensuing days, the Nazis set buildings ablaze in order to drive the fighters out. Electricity, gas, and water were cut off. The SS attacked the Jewish hospital and killed the wounded and infirm in their beds. Those who tried to escape the carnage by hiding were burned alive when the SS torched the building. Yet again, Stroop’s men were repulsed, unable to carry out his orders to remove and destroy the Hebrew flag. The presence of the flag nauseated Stroop, as it was a symbolic reminder that a rag-tag Jewish military unit was holding its own against the vaunted Master Race.

As Jews celebrated the SS retreat, pride swelled and reached all the way to Vilna where poet Shmerl Kaczerginski, who learned about the events from illegal radio, responded: “We know of no other particulars yet…. We suddenly saw clearly the flames of the Warsaw ghetto and Jews fighting with arms for their dignity and self-respect.”

The news also reached Berlin. A furious Heinrich Himmler commanded Stroop to crush the resistance “with ruthless and murderous tenacity.” SS General Stroop ordered his forces to burn down the entire Ghetto.

Bewildered, scared, and embarrassed Nazi units once again assaulted the Ghetto, flamethrowers in hand to burn down every building and bunker in sight. “Our brave defenders are holding out at their posts,” Leon Najberg reported. “Germans — in spite of everything — have to fight for access to each house. Gates of houses are barricaded, each house in the Ghetto is a defensive fortress, each flat is a citadel — Jewish defenders are showering missiles from flats’ windows and throwing shells at bandits.”

The Ghetto was ablaze. Jews were burned alive in their bunkers and hiding places. Some were blasted and tear-gassed out of their defensive positions. “Jews usually left their hideouts, but frequently remained in the burning buildings and jumped out of the windows only when the heat became unbearable. They then tried to crawl with broken bones across the street into buildings which were not afire,” Stroop recorded in his report. Many of the victims became running torches.

During these days of vicious combat, the Jews’ bunkers and resistance positions were systematically destroyed. Running out of grenades and incendiary bombs, the resistance adopted a different strategy — guerrilla warfare. Armed mostly with pistols, they used hit and retreat tactics to repel the onslaught. Many in the invading army were killed and their weapons were retrieved. Jews suffered heavy losses as well. A number of captured Jews were shot on the spot. Others were sent to crowded, filthy holding pens to join deportees awaiting “resettlement.”

The sky over Warsaw was red for many days from the flames of the burning Ghetto, the smoke so thick that fighters fleeing the inferno could not see ahead. Yet the carnage was quite visible to all on the other side of the wall. “On the balcony of the second floor a woman stood wringing her hands,” observed Feigele Peltel, who was hiding in “Aryan” Warsaw. “She disappeared into the building but returned a moment later, carrying a child and dragging a featherbed, which she flung to the pavement to break her fall. Clutching her child, she started to climb over the railing. A spray of bullets caught her midway — the child dropped to the street — the woman’s body dangled lifeless from the railing.”

With the German forces and Jewish fighters engaged in savage street-to-street and house-to-house fighting, Stroop’s strategy of divide and conquer seemed to be working. The underground units became more isolated and splintered after the SS released gas into the bunkers. As Jews emerged for air, many were immediately shot. Those who escaped through the mazes of underground tunnels, passageways, and sewers tried to get word to their comrades. Many of the freedom fighters, cut off in the mayhem, were buried under the collapsing walls and masonry of their bunkers. For the wounded, there was no medication. A doctor did his best without anesthesia. Supplies dwindled and were difficult to obtain.

Meanwhile, Commander Anielewicz desperately awaited a response from a note sent to associates operating in “Aryan” Warsaw: “A revolver has no value for us; its use is limited. We have urgent need of hand grenades, submachine guns and explosives.” He did not get what he needed. Yet in spite of the growing awareness that the end of their rebellion was imminent, Anielewicz was proud to have served with the Ghetto Jews. “The dream of my life has become a reality,” he said. “I lived to see Jewish defense in the ghetto in all its greatness and splendor.”

When the SS discovered that Jews were escaping to the “Aryan” side through the sewer system, they released more gas into the sewers. They also deployed dogs and sound-detection devices in order to locate any Jews still hiding in the rubble. In spite of the great danger to his troops, Stroop even sent his men into the Ghetto at night to surprise the holdouts.

Eventually, the Nazi forces succeeded in battling their way to the resistance bunker headquarters on Mila Street. The remaining 120 underground fighters realized that all was lost. They could no longer halt the Nazi onslaught. Many committed suicide. Others took their commander’s advice to escape into “Aryan” Warsaw. Some, with help from the Polish underground, were able to reach the forests. Many died from the gas which the Germans discharged into the command post. Among the dead was the valiant Commander Anielewicz. Those who surrendered were either shot or transported to the death camps. By May 8, 1943, the Ghetto had been destroyed and the uprising was over.

According to SS General Stroop, more than 56,000 Jews were liquidated during the uprising. Jews mutilated in explosions, incinerated by fires, and buried under the rubble remain forever unaccounted for. Ultimately, Stroop’s SS burned down the Warsaw synagogue, reducing to ashes some 900 years of Jewish heritage in Poland. The military victory over the Warsaw Ghetto resisters was boastfully described in detail in Stroop’s leather-bound report sent to Berlin, entitled Es gibt keinen judischen wohnbezirk in Warschau mehr! (“There is no longer a Jewish district in Warsaw!”)

A Personal Reflection

Perhaps the meaning of the Warsaw Ghetto and the Jewish uprising is best conveyed by those who survived Hitler’s “Final Solution.” Lola, who escaped from the Stolpce Ghetto in Byelorussia (White Russia) on the eve of its liquidation, and who took up arms as a partisan during the remainder of the war, reminds us: “Be on alert for government. Big government. There will always be incidents in which people will be killed by gangs or thugs. Twenty, thirty, a hundred maybe. A tragedy for sure. But only a big government can organize to murder millions. And very important! Listen to what people say. They will let you know in advance what they have in mind.”

Lola’s husband Yehuda, who was a partisan commander in the Byelorussian forest of Naliboki during WWII, and who later served as an officer in the Israeli Defense Force, recalls a 1941 rescue effort: “We went into a ghetto to rescue some family and friends…. Some very religious Jews, who were praying, refused to come. They said that God will take care of them. I showed them my gun and told them, ‘With all respect to God, this is the only thing that will save you here.’” The partisans and the escapees survived the war. Those who stayed behind were shot.

Yehuda and Lola became American citizens in 1957. They are my parents and taught me well.

Holocaust Museum Shooter: Christian-Hating Socialist

On June 10, the nation tragically witnessed a memorial dedicated to commemorating an atrocity become the site of yet more death. Just before 1 p.m., longtime neo-Nazi James Wenneker Von Brunn entered the Holocaust Museum on the National Mall and opened fire in an attempt to complete the Final Solution his hero had left tentative, an omission Von Brunn dubbed “Hitler’s biggest mistake.” As former Defense Secretary Bill Cohen wandered the museum grounds, Von Brunn killed Stephen T. Johns, a black security officer, then was shot himself. As of this writing, the 88-year-old is in critical condition.

The white-wing fringe greeted the news with predictable joy. Its most popular website, Stormfront.org, saluted “White Racialist Treasure: James Von Brunn” in 2004; a thoughtful reader, seeing Von Brunn had backed up his recent threats with deadly action, wrote yesterday, “Definitely needs a bump today.” Another hoped the shooting would cause Americans to believe taking their children to Holocaust memorials is now “an insurance risk.”

Yet racists are not alone in their glee. Leftists have decided to exploit Von Brunn’s madness to engender fear of rampant conservative terrorism. They overlook one point: the shooter was not a conservative. A review of his lengthy associations reveals Von Brunn hardly fits the stereotype of a Religious Right, GOP precinct captain. He denounced the Christian faith as a dastardly Jewish conspiracy, a “HOAX” invented by the Apostle Paul to “DESTROY ROMAN CULTURE” from within by undermining its pagan virility. (All screaming capitalization and grammatical errors in this piece appear in the original.) Like others on the racist fringe, the shooter proclaimed clearly: “SOCIALISM, represents the future of the West.”

Karl Rove, Glenn Beck, and Freepers Killed Stephen Johns?

Never apt to let facts get in the way of slander, the Left immediately branded Von Brunn a conservative – and found a way to tie his actions to their favorite demons: President Bush and Fox News. Upon learning of the tragedy, Huffington Post blogger Michelle Kraus wrote simply, “Thank you very much Karl Rove and your minions.” Fellow HuffenPuffer Joseph Palermo, – also, surprise, an Associate Professor of History at California State University-Sacramento – accused Fox News host Glenn Beck of “using the public airwaves to incite violence,” calling his program “a white reactionary tour de force – incendiary, stupid, and racist.” The usually staid Alan Colmes smeared the mainstream conservative website FreeRepublic.com, an attack quickly recycled by a ThinkProgress.org reader, who added this sterling political analysis: “There isn't really a line drawn between the right wing ‘base’ and neo-Nazis any more. It's a single continuum, and freepers is right there in that gray area.”

Meanwhile, more significant voices joined in. Michael Tomasky, editor of Guardian America, the U.S. affiliate of Britain’s widely read socialist newspaper The Guardian, immediately seized upon the shooting to bludgeon American conservatives. In a blog entitled, “Will They Call Him Terrorist?” Tomasky wrote: “So this is the second act of right-wing terror, the first being the murder of Dr. Tiller, in a mere three weeks. These are terrorists, as surely as Zawahiri is. Will Rush Limbaugh and the other demagogues like him call them that?” He went on to call Rush “Oxyboy” and closed: “All right my British friends. Your turn to sneer again. But let's all say a prayer for the victims of this craziness and their loved ones first.”

The “mainstream” media quickly went into overload. CNN’s Anderson Cooper interviewed Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center, who insisted: “This is a real movement out there. This is not just the fringe-of-the-fringe.” He did not square this with his assessment minutes earlier that there were, at best, 100-200,000 white supremacists in the country and only “a tiny slither” would commit violent acts.[1] MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann denounced “the environment” that produced “two acts of right-wing violence.”[2] (Another HuffPo blogger described a Black Muslim’s shooting of a military recruiter in Arkansas and a Muslim terror cell’s plot to blow up Bronx synagogues as “right-wing” phenomena.) Rachel Maddow insisted, “within two weeks we’ve seen two shootings…when the shooter was clearly motivated by extreme right-wing views.”

All have seized on the shooting in an attempt to salvage the reputation of Janet Napolitano, claiming the two (or four) eruptions confirm the Department of Homeland Security’s retracted assertion “that lone wolves and small terrorist cells embracing violent right-wing extremist ideology are the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the United States.” No one can deny Von Brunn’s danger, but neither should anyone be confused about his collectivist history and deeply held totalitarian ideology.

Von Brunn’s Letter to Jim Webb

Yesterday’s attack was Von Brunner’s second attempted strike. Police arrested him on December 7, 1981, after they found him prowling the Washington, D.C., offices of the Federal Reserve Bank posing as a journalist. Inside a bag slumped over his shoulder, they discovered a handgun, a shotgun, and a knife, which he claimed he would use to place then-Fed Chairman Paul Volcker under citizens’ arrest.[3] After being convicted, he tried to obtain help by contacting then-Admiral Jim Webb, now a Democratic U.S. Senator from Virginia, but Von Brunn claimed the postmaster “purloined” the letter. The New York Daily News reports after his release in 1989, Von Brunner “worked at a bookstore run by a Holocaust-denying group called the Institute of Historical Review,” then lived in Hayden Lake, Idaho – then the headquarters of the Aryan Nations.[4]

At some point, he settled in the Maryland area and decided to jump into the publishing game himself.

His Own Words: Not Newsworthy

Von Brunn’s motivation leaps off every page of his self-published “book,” Kill the Best Gentiles, a title supposedly derived from secret Jewish instructions to slaughter the goyim. (You can download the first six chapters here.) Remarkably, his words have received little scrutiny, likely because of what they establish: the “right-wing terrorist” of the Holocaust Museum is an anti-religious socialist. Somehow in its five-page excerpt of Von Brunn’s book, Salon did not find these quotations. I have chosen to reproduce enough of his writings to demonstrate they are not being taken out of context.

Hate Jews, Hate the Jewish Messiah

Although the hate crimes industry lumps neo-Nazis and White Nationalists in with the “Religious Right” – and occasionally, FrontPage Magazine, the better to smear you with – few Americans realize the true believers are not merely non-Christian but anti-Christian. Like their predecessors, they trace Aryan downfall to “culture distorters” (guess who?) – and among the largest “distortion” is the replacement of warlike Germanic gods with Jesus Christ, the Messiah promised by the Jewish Scriptures. Von Brunn dedicated Kill the Best Gentiles to the late professor Revilo P. Oliver. Typical of Nazis, past and present, Oliver branded Christianity a “Jewish cult” and “spiritual syphilis.” Brunn’s follows suit. He shuns the words of the Bible, exhorting his readers: “Remember, these delusions of grandeur were written by HEBREWS about themselves. Megalomaniacs of such magnitude generally are manic-depressives confined to insane asylums.” (p. 31.) His distaste for their Deity could hardly be more evident:

JEHOVAH, like Alley Oop, says whatever the scriptwriters print in the blurbs.
Those who find it compelling to believe Yahweh created a flat earth, circa 5000 B.C., spoke from a burning bush, bared his buttocks, parted the Red Sea, and loves JEWS above all other nations, share a childish credulity with those who believe millions of JEWS died in German gas-chambers. It also confirms JEWISH conviction that Gentiles are stupid sheep. It makes one want to puke. (p. 32.)

Having vilified the Father, he turns his focus to the Son. “Jesus (if he did exist),” Von Brunn wrote, “was born in Galilee (‘Unclean Land of the Gentiles’).” (p. 57.) In a post on the appropriately named website Antichrist.net, Von Brunn expanded on the reason Saul of Tarsus, a former rabbi, would become the chief apostle of this religion to the Gentiles:

Saul -- a Roman citizen -- suddenly realized how he could destroy Rome! Saul trembled uncontrollably with fear and joy. He would simply promulgate the insane teachings of Jesus! What better way to destroy a Nation -- any Nation -- than to undermine her hubris; her gods, ethics, mores, history, her gene-pool -- in short, Saul would DESTROY ROMAN CULTURE. Then, as night follows day, with her Foundations rotted, the Roman Empire would FALL. Saul decided to begin the HOAX by inventing a miraculous encounter on the road to Damascus with the reincarnated Jesus the Christ!

Toward that end -- no different than Hollywood script-writers today -- Saul created a bogus a la Spielberg docu-drama stuffed with lies, miracles, guilt trips, betrayal, virgin birth, eternal damnation, salvation -- a scenario appealing to the superstitious, vulnerable, ignorant yearning sheep -- he named his hoax "Christianity." …

The Gospels profess that only Christians may enter Yahweh's Kingdom of Heaven. To qualify, among other demands, Christians must LOVE THEIR ENEMIES (Jews); give away their personal belongings; eschew knowledge; judge not, despise nature, abandon earthly pleasures, acknowledge that all YHWH's children are equal; and above all else worship YHWH, the jealous, wrathful, vengeful, unforgiving, genocidal, anthropomorphic tribal god (Jesus' father) created by Hebrews in their image and likeness….The Big Lie technique, employed by Paul to create the CHRISTIAN RELIGION, also was used to create the HOLOCAUST RELIGION ... CHRISTIANITY AND THE HOLOCAUST are HOAXES.

"Christianity" destroyed Roman Civilization. The "Holocaust" Religion is destroying Western Civilization. The Aryan gene-pool dies, "unwept, unhonored and unsung."

This assessment seems unlikely to stem from Rush Limbaugh (raised Lutheran), Glenn Beck (converted to Mormonism), or Karl Rove (a Presbyterian accused of agnosticism). So, too, are his unexamined statist economic beliefs.

Socialism: “The Future of the West”

If Von Brunn shared the anti-Christian hatred expressed by Revilo Oliver, he accepted the collectivist, socialist views of Francis Parker Yockey, a guiding light and philosopher of fascism unafraid of aligning with Third World socialists. Francis Parker Yockey’s magnum opus,the 600+ page Imperium, is among the books most beloved by Willis Carto – who founded the “bookstore” that employed Von Brunn following his prison release – and Carto continues to proffer it a foundational text for the philosophically pretentious fascist. Yockey wrote, “The 19th century was the age of Individualism; the 20th and 21st are the ages of Socialism.” Sounding like a Marxist determinist he wrote, “Destiny is irreversible, and the Spirit of Socialism, with its latent Resurgence of Authority and its youthful will-to-power moved steadily forward.” Yockey faulted “Capitalistic thinkers” who “found no ethical fault with destruction of groups and individuals” – that is, races – “by other groups and individuals, so long as the criminal law was not infringed.” In his mind, “The alternative to Socialism was not Capitalism, but chaos.”

Von Brunn proved in Kill the Best Gentiles that he learned well:

Yockey, in his suppressed book Imperium, notes that MARXISM is seriously flawed because MARX, being a JEW, could not understand the real differences between CAPITALISM and SOCIALISM, which emanated from the WESTERN CULTURE-ORGANISM. Capitalism and Socialism are how a Nation (Family, People, Race) feels, thinks, and lives, and secondarily are ECONOMIC CONCEPTS. One [capitalism] is past history; the other, WESTERN SOCIALISM, represents the future of the West, and the end of JEWRY on Western soil.

The Age of Reason produced CAPITALISM in the West, the IDEA of rugged individualism: “Every Man for Himself.” Freedom from authority: “Don't tread on me!” At the same time, paradoxically, it was understood, that these rugged individuals should act in the best interest of the Nation-State. To the West ECONOMIC CAPITALISM meant: free trade, no personal income-tax, no state interference in money matters, private ownership, etc. USURY, however, was relegated outside the Pale, and proscribed. Capitalists ound no fault with economically defeating, within the law, opposing economic groups. That was considered “healthy competition.” European States, goaded by Bankers, also competed with one another. Often with disastrous results. During WWI it became painfully clear that the IDEA of “rugged individualism” worked against the ARYAN NATION and its individual States.

WESTERN SOCIALISM, unlike Marxism/Communism and Capitalism, emanates not from Reason alone but from the ETHOS OF THE WEST. It expresses the instinctive and Intuitive feelings UNIQUE to the Aryan Nation. Its Idea is the Musketeers' cry: “One for All and All for One!” The ingathering of the White Nation-States into ONE CULTURAL ORGANISM — its own territory and its own State in which to house, protect, and nurture the Nation — precludes Marxist inspired class warfare and hate-struggles between its component parts. The ECONOMY springs from the CULTURE. MONEY becomes merely a tool, a means of exchange, a storage of value — not an ILLUMINATI weapon.” (pp. 143-4). “No intelligent person took MARX seriously. His Old Testament idea that work is evil — and New Testament idea that men and races are equally endowed — opposes Nature and the very Soul of the West.” Marxists, Bolsheviks, Communists denounce “capitalist pigs.” While from behind the scenes — in the on-going battle to implement the PROTOCOLS OF ZION — all wars and revolutions are financed by JEW CAPITALISTS. (pp. 143-5.)

He, too, despised the freedom and potential decadence capitalism affords, insisting Jews were “exacerbating natural disputes between theWestern States and influencing the results in favor of Liberalism as opposed to Authority; that is, materialism, free trade and usury, as opposed to Western Socialism; Internationalism as opposed to Western unity. MONEY was their sword and buckler. Hate and revenge their motif.” (pp. 109-110.)

The nexus of this capitalist plot is…the Federal Reserve Board. Although his website is currently down, the shooter’s account of his 1981 arrest at the Fed states, “The U.S. President, with approval of the Senate, appoints the FED Board of Governors. The majority of them are Wall Street denizens…After all, the FED was designed by bankers for bankers.” (Emphasis in original.) Such sentiments could appear easily on DailyKos or CounterPunch.

That is not without reason. Von Brunn’s association with Willis Carto’s “bookstore” make it undeniable his anti-conservative views were influenced by the far-Left.

Nazis for Chomsky and Land Reform

The “bookstore” that employed the museum shooter was Noontide Press, the brainchild of Willis Carto, often named the most influential anti-Semite in the country. In addition to Holocaust denial material and conspiracy theories, the firm printed and peddled left-of-center volumes by more conspicuous figures, among them the most cited academic in the United States. In the 1980s, Noontide published Noam Chomsky’s book The Fateful Triangle. Chomsky became a hero of Jew-haters for his quasi-conspiratorial views of American society, his defense of Holocaust denier Robert Faurisson, and his distaste for Israel. Noontide’s catalog once carried a number of Chomsky materials out of appreciation. Alongside the linguist on Noontide’s roster stood far-leftist Holly Sklar’s volume Trilateralism: The Trilateral Commission and Elite Planning for World Management and the lecture Palestinian writer and centenarian Sami Hadawi delivered to the IHR entitled, “Who Are the Palestinians?”[5] Noontide also publishes statist works of bygone days, including Gen. Smedley Butler’s “War is a Racket,” a Nye Commission-era screed blaming war on capitalist “war merchants.” One perusing its catalog may also find, for example, reprints works of Depression-era “radio priest” and Nazi plagiarist Fr. Charles Coughlin (whose rallying cry was “A Just and Living Wage”) and his contemporary, fascist theorist Lawrence Dennis (among whose works is Is Capitalism Doomed?).[6]

These writings could scarcely resemble the words of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, or Karl Rove less.

Neither could his association with the Aryan Nations. As many authors have shown, fascism is a totalitarian ideology concentrating all power in the hands of the State and thus not a conservative ideology but a creature of the Left. This holds true in the present as well as the past. The AN’s “Platform for the Aryan National State” includes these collectivist provisions (all quoted):

Promote and preserve the industry and livelihood of the citizens.
[E]liminate the current practice of damaging and poisoning life and environment.
Provide honest aid to farmers and other business people, and shall restore to all citizens rightful land ownership.
Make the necessary provisions for the aged, who have been impoverished by fraud (inflation).
Confiscate all unearned wealth, stolen by fraud or usury and that which is gain from war.
Nationalize all monopolies and multi-national interest[s].
Immediately bring about land reform….

The ideology of Von Brunn and his contemporaries does not comport in any way with conservatism. Yet the Left chose to exploit the death of a black man as a paraphrase of Rahm Emanuel’s dictum; they never let a tragedy go to waste. President Clinton blamed the Oklahoma City Bombing on Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich; leftists hinted George Bush caused Sen. Paul Wellstone’s plane crash; Cindy Sheehan become a momentary folk hero by championing a cause her slain son opposed; and some managed to muffle their glee over President Reagan’s affliction with Alzheimer’s Disease just long enough to call for public funding of embryonic stem cell research.

One can expect no more decency when a self-proclaimed socialist murders a minority in cold blood in a shrine to one of collectivism’s most shameful accomplishments.

1. An exact count of potential White Nationalist terrorists, obviously impossible, is rendered more difficult by the concept of “leaderless resistance” propounded by Louis Beam, formerly one of the FBI’s ten most wanted.

3.The Fed fixation is common among conspiracy theorists, who believe the Jews control the U.S. economy through the machinations of this “privately owned” enterprise. The Institute for Historical Review (IHR) was then run by reclusive anti-Semite Willis Carto, the founder of Liberty Lobby and publisher of the most widely circulated hate publication in the United States (originally call THE SPOTLIGHT since rebranded American Free Press). Carto, who briefly revived The Populist Party, is considered the most influential Jew-hater in the United States.

4. After losing a lawsuit, the Aryan Nations lost its land. Following the death of founder Richard Girnt Butler, the organization has split in two.

6. Lawrence Dennis is not without his admirers on the fringe today. Dennis “Justin” Raimondo wrote a glowing piece for TakiMag calling him a “prophetic voice” and another for Antiwar.com, saying “his legacy will enrich a conservative movement that is just beginning to rediscover its Old Right Heritage – and his example will inspire a new generation of the antiwar movement that sees itself as neither Left nor Right but plain and simply American.” Lawrence has also been the subject of a two-page write-up in THE SPOTLIGHT.

WTF??? Updated and Bumped

2 People Shot at U.S. Holocaust Museum

A gunman armed with a shotgun walked into the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in downtown Washington today and opened fire on a security guard before being shot and seriously wounded by two other guards, authorities said.

The security guard and the gunman were both transported to George Washington University Hospital with serious injuries, police said. A hospital spokesperson declined to release information on the condition of the two.

A third person sustained minor injuries in the shooting, according to police.

A law enforcement source identified the gunman as James W. von Brunn, who is known to authorities as a white supremacist.

Sgt. David Schlosser, a spokesman for the U.S. Park Police, said the security guard and the gunman were the only two persons who were hit by gunshots. Initial reports said at least one other person sustained gunshot wounds.

He said the museum has been "completely secured and evacuated."

A spokesman for the museum, Andy Hollinger, said in a statement that after the gunman opened fire, "two Museum security officers returned fire hitting the assailant."

A security guard and two other people were shot today inside the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in downtown Washington, authorities said.

U.S. Park Police said a gunman armed with a shotgun opened fire on the security guard and that other security guards returned fire. The gunman was reported wounded.

The shooting was reported to police at 12:52 p.m., and officers rushed to the scene just south of Independence Ave. bordering the Mall.

Scores of police and emergency vehicles converged on the scene, blocking 14th Street, a major artery between downtown Washington and the Virginia suburbs.

D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department spokesman Alan Etter said there was no immediate information on the shooter. He said two men were transported to a hospital with
"serious" gunshot wounds.

MSNBC Update: The guard, identified by the museum as Officer Stephen Tyrone Johns, died later in the hospital. Johns had worked at the museum for six years.

I’ve been blogging about the rising levels of anti-Semitism on the left being used to build bridges with both the Islamist community and the White Supremacists who have in turn hitched their wagon to their fellow Jew hating degenerates. Grave desecration and random attacks on Jews have been on the upswing, as has been the “anti-Zionist” rhetoric of even mainstream lefties.

Today just scant hours after it was reported “Rev.” Jeremiah Wright made wildly anti-Semitic statements in an interview a gunman walked into the Holocaust Museum and started a shoot out. From Fox.com:

At least two people were shot after a man opened fire inside the national Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, officials said.

The suspect has been arrested, according to a law enforcement source.

Reports said the suspect first shot a security guard, and that another guard returned fire, wounding the alleged shooter.

There are conflicting reports about how many people were shot.

Right now two people are being reported shot, one the gunman, and one person injured by flying glass.

Fox is reporting that they believe the shooter was a local.

How do I link Wright’s statement to this atrocity? Read it yourself and tell me it’s not incitement:

Asked if he had spoken to the President, Wright said: “Them Jews aren’t
going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he’ll talk to me in
five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office.
…

“They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. …
I said from the beginning: He’s a politician; I’m a pastor. He’s got to do what
politicians do.”

Wright also said Obama should have sent a U.S. delegation to the World
Conference on Racism held recently in Geneva, Switzerland, but that the
president did not do so for fear of offending Jews and Israel.

“Ethnic cleansing is going on in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing of the Zionist is a
sin and a crime against humanity, and they don’t want Barack talking like that
because that’s anti-Israel,” Wright said.

So Jews are Nazis blah, blah. This kind of rhetoric started on the now defunct MoveOn.Org forums and migrated to every lefty group that’s active. I heard a couple of hipsters claim that same thing while on line at Starbucks, and just wasted about 30 mins last night arguing with a person on Twitter who claims Jews stole Arabs’ land and should “give it back” to the rightful owners. Anti-Semitism and pro-Islamism is on the rise in America and this is the result, and more incidents like this will happen until we confront the purveyors of this hatred and drive them from the public discourse.

Update: Shooter identified as 9/11 Truther/White Nationalists James Von Brunn. Von Brunn once tried to place the Federal Reserve under arrest. Von Brunn has called America a “Jew Vassal State” in the comments on this post. He’s a Eugenics advocate who claims “Marxism-Multiculturalism-Judaism” are destroying America.

His racialist philosophy and politics mirrors Muslim convert James Stenzel’s Jew Watch.

Fox is reporting that Von Brunn was called “an ass” by Tom Clancy.

He also went by Jim Von Brunn.

Update: James Von Brunn believed Mossad was responsible for the Bali bombings. He tried to pitch a script to Mel Gibson through Infowars.

The impact of antisemitism Hitler-style on the Arab world is still unbowed and doesn't even bother with politically correct smokescreens like "Criticising Israel must not be taboo".

It shows too, however, that the Mufti wasn't quite the innocent "noble savage" who got spoilt by the evil Nazis, but that this was a mutually inspriring relationship between two evil powers, both rooted in their respective Jew-hating tradition.

A Very Practical and Attractive Religion for Soldiers

The recent renaissance of the the proud German tradition of collaborating with murderous Palestinian Arab scum is deserving of further attention. The following is from a previous entry, namely Child Molesters Comparing Notes. It's too good (immodest I'm not!) to be doomed to future insignificance in the blog bilges, so I've taken and added a bit to it.

Hadj Amin el Husseini, with Brit assistance self-appointed Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, mass murderer of Jews, on Hitler's payroll since 1937, accomplice of Hitler in the Holocaust, honoured guest in Berlin during WWII (all expenses, hookers included, paid), founder of the SS Handzar division, and post-war co-founder and President of the Arab League.

It is a widely shared consensus, that the existence of the state of Israel with her ethnic European population is the cause for the strife in the Middle East. So it may be a surprise to some that as early as 1933 Nazi political groups started to rise their ugly heads throughout the Arab world, for example Young Egypt, led by Muslim Brotherhood member Gamal Abdel Nasser, later Egyptian President. Young Egypt’s political slogan "One Folk, One Party, One Leader" is a direct translation from the German.

Who was the driving force behind this movement?

It can be safely assumed that the history of the Middle East and to a considerable extent that of the European Jewry would have taken a different course without Amin el Husseini, who later added "Hadj" to his name, and whose creepy shadow of death is still looming today.

He was born 1893 in Jerusalem under Ottoman rule. 1914-1917 he got his first taste of "jihad" and must have found it addictive. As an officer of the Ottoman Empire in Smyrna during the Armenian genocide, he actively participated in the slaughtering of one and a half million Christians by the Ottoman Army and it ought to be remembered that allegiance to the idea of the Ottoman Empire and a vision of Islamic world take-over was spine-chillingly echoed by Osama Bin Laden in his post-September 11th declaration.

But back to British Mandate Palestine, where Husseini is able to apply the lessons he had learned, lessons of genocide and the establishment of a Pan-Islamic empire, from which Jews and Christians are excluded. He stirs up riots in Palestine through the Twenties and Thirties, mainly, but not exclusively, targeted at Jews, including the massacre of the Hebron Jews on 23 and 24 August 1929.

The survivors are forced to flee Hebron, their property is seized by Arab residents and occupied until after the Six Day War 1967. The Hebron Jewish community was over 2,000 years old. This and other massacres may serve as both, proof for the fact that the Jewish-Arab relationships were, different from what some are fond of maintaining, less than well already before the foundation of the State of Israel and that, different from what others say, the Arabs did not learn genocidal antisemitism from the Nazis. But I digress.

Muslims who dare to protest against Hadj Amin's reign of terror are murdered as well, who, in 1931, becomes founder of the World Islamic Congress and starts to build his own strong political base.

1937 Hadj Amin el Husseini visits the German Consul in Jerusalem. He meets among others Adolf Eichmann (whose sense for "Aryan" company must have been a wee bit selective) to discuss "the Jewish question". From then on, Husseini will receive financial and military aid from Nazi Germany. He spends the war safe and sound in Germany, all expenses paid by the Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt).

Active collaboration with top-ranking Nazis starts in 1941. Reportedly, Hitler would have been content with deporting the Jews to Palestine, which Husseini perceives as a threat to his powerbase and so he pushes successfully for the extermination of the European Jews. The same year, Husseini is made chief architect of the Nazi occupation in Bosnia. The Serbian-Cyrillic alphabet is banned, Orthodox Serbs forced to wear a blue, Jewish Serbs a yellow armband.

While in Bosnia, Amin Al-Husseini takes the title "Protector of Islam". 100,000 (One hundred thousand!) Bosnian Muslims join the Nazi ranks. They are seeking the approval of the Germans for establishing an autonomous protectorate for Bosnian Muslims.

Amin Al-Husseini approves the Pejani Plan calling for the extermination of the Serbian population, something that even Nazi Germany refuses to implement.

Bosnian ethnic cleansing under Amin al Husseini:
- Orthodox Christian Serbs: 200,000 killed
- Gypsies: more than 40,000 killed
- Jewish Bosnians: 22,000 killed.
Husseini’s legacy of hatred is a major factor in today’s Bosnia/Herzegovina campaign against the Serbs.

1942, Husseini intervenes personally with the Nazi High Command to refuse an offer by the Red Cross to exchange 10,000 Jewish children for German prisoners of war. The offer is refused and the children die in the gas chambers.

1943, he creates the Handzar Division of Muslim Soldiers in Bosnia, which is, with 26,000 soldiers, to become the largest division of the Third Reich military and participates actively in the genocide of the Serbians, Gipsies and Jews in Bosnia. The Muslim soldiers pledge allegiance to Nazi regime in an official statement drawn up by Heinrich Himmler. During the same year, Husseini is made "Prime Minister" of a Pan-Arab Government created by the Nazi regime. His "headquarters" are in Berlin. He plans to put up a concentration camp in Nablus to realise the "final solution" in Palestine as an extension of Hitler’s plan.

Husseini and Himmler grow on each other. At his insistence, the "Mufti" is even given a private tour of Auschwitz death camp by Himmler.

Heinrich Himmler, obviously another Nazi with rather selective "Aryan" tastes, informed Nazi chief propagandist Josef Goebbels: "[I] have nothing against Islam because it educates the men in this division for me and promises them heaven if they fight and are killed in action. A very practical and attractive religion for soldiers."

On August 6, 1943, Himmler writes the following letter to his man in the NDH, SS Gruppenführer und Generalleutnant der Polizei Konstantin Kammerhofer and to Artur Phleps, commander of the 5th SS Mountain Corps:

"All Moslem members of the Waffen SS and police are to be afforded the undeniable right of their religious demands never to touch pork, pork sausages nor to drink alcohol...I hold all commanders...and other SS officers, responsible for the most scrupulous and loyal respect for this privilege especially granted to the Muslims. They have answered the call of the Moslem chiefs and have come to us out of hatred for the common Jewish-Anglo-Bolshevik enemy and through respect and fidelity for he who they respect above all, the Fuehrer, Adolf Hitler... There will no longer be the least discussion about the special rights afforded to the Moslems in these circles.

(signed) H. Himmler"

It is Himmler, too, who establishes and funds the "Islamische Zentralinstitut" in Dresden, with Husseini as head. The purpose is to create a generation of Muslim leaders that would continue to use Islam as a carrier for Nazi ideology into the 21st century.

On March 1, 1944, Husseini addresses from Berlin the Muslim SS units: "Kill the Jews wherever you find them. This pleases God, history and religion. This saves your honour. God is with you."

1944, he becomes one of the founders of the Arab League. Its goal is to reinforce Pan-Islamic unity. Founding members are Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Yemen. Husseini is appointed in absentia President of Fourth Higher Committee.

1946, the British grant Husseini amnesty to weaken the Jewish presence in Mandate Palestine. He returns to Palestine.

1946, Hadj Amin is appointed leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jerusalem. Wahhabist Islam becomes the perfect carrier for Husseini’s policy of ethnic cleansing. He uses recently acquired Nazi methods to realise his vision of an Arab World free of Jews ("judenfrei"). Yugoslavia's request of extradition of Husseini from Egypt for War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity is refused by the Egyptian government.

Egyptian(!)-born Yasser Arafat, later to become a "Palestinian" icon, meets Husseini at age 17 and starts then working for him. Hadj Amin el Husseini is allegedly a great-uncle of Arafat, whose real name is Mohammed Abder Rauf Arafat Al-Kudwa Al-Husseini. Arafat reportedly changed his name to disguise his nationality or his connection to Husseini or both, although why he should disguise family ties with a Pan-Arab icon like Hadj Amin I can't quite fathom. This, too, destroys the myth that the "Palestinian" fight against the "Israeli occupation is a political, secular struggle and not a part of global Islamic jihad.

Post-WWII, Husseini is directly involved in providing a safe haven to ex-Nazis in Arab countries and the main connection with Francois Genoud, Swiss banker of the Third Reich, who finances the ODESSA network with money stolen from European Jews. Genoud, visits Husseini several times in Beirut and sponsors Arab Nationalism with Nazi money. In Cairo and Tangiers, Genoud sets up an import-export company called Arabo-Afrika, as a cover for an anti-Jewish and later anti-Israeli propaganda organisation.

Genoud sets up, too, Swiss bank accounts for the North African liberation armies of Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. Together with Syria, he sets up the Arab Commercial Bank in Geneva. 1962, he becomes director of the Arab People’s Bank in Algeria.

Putting up a picture of the Arab issue of "Mein Kampf" cost a German blogger recently his contract with his (German) ISP. Showing something like that is considered "hatespeak" by German law, while conveniently serving the purpose of keeping up a smokescreen preventing knowledge of German-Arab collaboration spreading too far.

1962, Hadj Amin el Husseini becomes president of his brainchild, the World Islamic Congress.

Husseini dies in Syria in 1974 at the biblical age of 81. Life is rarely fair.

His legacy of a worldwide war of Islamic conquest, of terror and eliminatory hatred of Jews continues to this day. Yasser Arafat (on the right) pays hommage to his mentor at the latter's funeral.
