No Prison Time For Chicago Woman, After She Pleads Guilty To Hate Crime In The Beating Of A Disabled Teen On Facebook Live

A Chicago woman who live-streamed video of the racially charged beating of a teen with mental disabilities pleaded guilty Friday to a hate crime and was sentenced to four years of probation. Brittany Covington, 19, has been in custody since her arrest in January. 

Calling the incident “horrific,” Cook County Circuit Judge William Hooks banned Covington from social media over the four years, prohibited her from contact with two of her co-defendants and ordered her to do 200 hours of community service. 

Hooks told Covington he could have imposed a prison sentence but added, “I’m not sure if I did that you’d be coming out any better.” 

Hooks said he hoped the strict terms of probation would put Covington on a more productive life path, but he warned she would face prison time if she violated any of the restrictions. 

“Do not mess this up,” Hooks told Covington, who stood quietly in a blue jail uniform with her hands clasped behind her back. 

The 19-year-old also pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and intimidation charges. 

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors dropped additional charges, including kidnapping.

The victim, who prosecutors said has schizophrenia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, was able to flee the building when the four co-defendants left the apartment to confront neighbors who had complained about the noise, prosecutors have said.

This is not a final ruling on the travel ban: Challenges to the policy are winding through the federal courts, and the justices themselves ultimately are expected to rule on its legality. 

But the action indicates that the high court might eventually approve the latest version of the ban, announced by President Donald Trump in September. 

Lower courts have continued to find problems with the policy. White House spokesman Hogan Gidley said the White House is “not surprised by today’s Supreme Court decision permitting immediate enforcement of the President’s proclamation limiting travel from countries presenting heightened risks of terrorism.”

“I am surprised I heard nothing about it on the national news, nor in my local paper and newscasts,” said Jerald Stephens, 67, a West Virginia native and union rep, who has been a keen observer of local politics for as long as he can remember. 

The BBC and CNN covered the news in their business sections, while The New York Times picked up a short story by The Associated Press on the deal. The stories’ headlines were muted; their placement low-key. 

“One would have suspected that the prospect of an investment this large — nearly three times the total annual budget for the department of energy — would have been front-page news,” said Paul Sracic, political-science professor at nearby Youngstown State University.

What is Trump Good for?

There's a lot of criticism about Trump on not keeping some of his politically promised agenda. And much of it may be warranted.

But if Trump is able to do three things, he will go long way of cutting the legs from under the Democratic Liberal Left's legs and castrate their agenda.

Sure, the Left has very little political power now. But they never really needed it. Outside of winning the WH and Congress every so often, the real power has been over the last several decades.  The real power lies in circumventing the Constitution and the Congress by having installed federal judges on all levels to legislate from the bench, having the Supreme Court support many of the Left's agenda, use the educational system to indoctrinate our children - and giving support and comfort to our enemies while abandoning our friends.

If Trump can change these three things he will have done what he was elected for.

And he's on his way.

He chose a conservative Justice as a replacement and announced today that he will fill many of the judiciary vacancies with conservatives judges. He has reaffirmed our support for our friends and made it clear he will take the fight to our enemies. If has made it known that there will be a shakeup in the Department of Education to start bringing the educational system into line.

How far he succeeds on these three will be his legacy as President. This will cripple the Left's real power in generations to come.

CNN Proves CNN Lied About The Size of the Crowd at the Inauguration

Libs and Lefties are STILL CLAIMING Trump and Spicer lied about the size of the Inaugural Crowd. Here's a clip from the View yesterday:

Absolutely NOT TRUE.

First, here's the photograph CNN says depicts the size of the crowd:

CNN posted a Gigapixel image of the crowd at the Inauguration.

The purpose of a Gigapixel image is so that one can zoom in and see the faces of the individuals who attended. The Gigapixel photograph is a 360 degree image of the crowd. You can grab the photo with your mouse and scroll around 360 degrees and view the entire crowd, or you can zoom in and see Trump's face as he delivers his Inaugural Address.

When you grab the image and look backwards at the crowd, you see clearly the Mall is full of people all the way to the Washington Monument.

It appears to me the photograph above is either shot from the top of the Washington Monument, or from a helicopter hovering around the Monument. The reason I make this assumption is because it does not show the Monument itself, but it appears to show most of the Mall area.

Did Trump Mock A Disabled Reporter?

Media Invented Lie About Trump Mocking Disabled Reporter

The Washington Post’s latest ugliness was to exploit the disability of a newspaper reporter in order to smear the Republican nominee for president. Then — and this is the least surprising part of the story — the Post lied about it. 

Other than the subject of that paragraph — which I slyly switched from Trump to the media — that is an exact paraphrase of the Post’s opening lines from an editorial hawking the media’s most successful lie about Donald Trump: that he mocked a man for being disabled. 

It was perfectly obvious that Trump was not mimicking any disability that Serge has, but I didn’t have the smoking gun to prove that the media were lying and knew they were lying. Now we have it. 

A group called Catholics 4 Trump has posted a video clip of another part of that same speech, in which Trump imitates a flustered general. Guess what? He does the exact same arm flailing. In another speech, Trump pretended to be a timorous Ted Cruz. 

Again, he does the exact same arm flailing. 

First, here's a video of the reporter, so you can see his disability. Note that the reporter's hand seems to be a little small, and stuck in a certain position. Neither his arm, his hand, nor any other part of his body are spastic, waving around, or the like.

Now, here's a video of Trump supposedly making fun of the reporter's disability.

Now, here's a video of Trump making fun of Ted Cruz' disability (which, of course, Ted Cruz does not have).

 

Now, in this next video, you can see Trump make fun of a U.S. General using the same motions and voice inflections.

Neither the general nor Cruz is disabled. If a jury ever saw these videos, it would acquit Trump immediately. Trump’s impression of a groveling reporter is just like his imitation of a groveling general and just like his imitation of a groveling U.S. senator. 

He’s like Rich Little that way: All his impressions look the same. 

Perhaps Trump is not a subtle actor, but he’s utterly innocent of making fun of a disabled person. 

Now consider the media’s role in manufacturing, and then protecting, this lie. Reporters were at Trump’s speech. They were filming it. They saw him do the identical imitation of a general during that same speech. 

The media knew damn well that Trump does the arm-waving routine whenever he’s pretending to be a flustered person. But they never allowed the public to see the clip of Trump doing the same imitation of a general. That is proof that the media knew they were lying.

Shifting Winds

The Left-leaning technology industry must be going through some serious nail-biting time as the industry begins to lose control of the information stream and other matters related to furthering "Obama's legacy."

From Google extends conservative outreach as Trump calls tech meeting (dated December 14, 2016):

Alphabet’s Google is racing to hire more conservatives for its lobbying and policy arm, trying to get a foothold in President-elect Donald Trump’s Washington after enjoying a uniquely close relationship with the administration of President Barack Obama.

In the weeks since the Nov. 8 election, Google has ramped up efforts to hire Republican lobbying firms and in-house lobbyists to change the composition of its Washington office, according to three lobbyists with knowledge of the matter.

The company also posted an advertisement for a manager for conservative outreach and public policy partnership, seeking a "liaison to conservative, libertarian and free market groups."...

And it's not only Google:

...The Information Technology Industry Council, a trade group whose members include Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon, had a conference call last Friday to discuss policy objectives it could agree on to present to Trump, according to a person familiar with the call.

Trump has also opposed the Obama administration's "net neutrality" rules, ordered in 2015 by the communications regulator to reclassify broadband internet services to treat them more like public utilities. The rule is now said to be headed for a reversal....

Until the wee hours of November 9, 2016, these tech giants didn't see these shifting winds as even a remote possibility.

Instead:

Liberal-leaning Silicon Valley bet heavily on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton winning the White House, and many technology companies have found themselves scrambling in the wake of Trump's election. But Google, which forged deep ties to the Obama White House and was the largest corporate contributor to Clinton's campaign, appears to have been caught especially off guard.

Interesting times, huh?

CULTURIST REPROGRAMMING

This is a longer version of a shorter (still homeless) article, which was prompted by a kind comment on IBA, asking where to next, Culturist John.  That long sentence by saying, 'Thanks for the inpiration, IBA!'

This is not just an article. I am asking questions, trying to start discussions, and – grandiosely – launch a policy field. Here is my question: How do we re-program our nation?

Of course, we can use the Left’s technique of taking sound bites out of context, and calling individuals “Hitler.” This works for tarnishing individuals and those associated with them. But, culturists are concerned with defining, guiding and promoting traditional majority culture more broadly. As such, rather than tarnish one man, we culturists must work towards a wider reprogramming of western culture.
I teach in a Christian university in South Korea, yes South! In my university, students are required to go to chapel twice a week. If they don't they cannot get a space in the dormitories and their scholarships are put in jeopardy. In their majors, students perform coordinated Christian dance routines in awesome assemblies. I mention this for entertainment’s sake. But, I also mention it to broaden our imaginations.

Speaking of imagination, the first thing we need to do is realize that rationality is not enough. We know that if you really think Black Lives Matter (BLM), statistically you should confront inner-city black-on-black violence. But, pointing that out has had zero deterrence effect. As with my uni’s dance routines, we must look past rationality. 

DARWINIAN CULTURIST PSYCHOLOGY

Herein a Darwinian perspective helps. Fish mark territory with bright colors. Howler monkeys defend territory via howls. Colors and sounds matter. We need to wave flags, have red, white and blue clothes, and use patriotic songs – the national anthem among them – to create loyalty. Anthropologists, ethnologists and sociobiologists of all stripes will tell you ‘us versus them’ is the primal program. Even naming the enemy helps. No them, no us.
