Why Georgia? Why Now?

I believe Russia planned, for a long time, to invade Georgia.

But they decided to do it now because they believe that pipeline is important to Europe, which it is.

So, since Russia doesn't want Israel to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities, they figure they will put some economic pressure on Europe, which will help them force Europe to take pressure off Iran, which they think will weaken the Israeli position.

I don't think it has quite worked out the way they thought it would ... yet.

What do you think?

Pastorius,

It could also just be that Putin is a war monger and he wants Georgia back as part of Russia.

SSDD.

TIMES UK, SEPT 16, 1924

They were ready. They had provoked the Georgians.

It's part of a plan to regain what was lost and more...with fossil fuel blackmail and nuclear blackmail.

Putin's FIRST ACT was to go to the Lubyanka and place a plaque honoring Yuri Andropov former Sec Genl of the USSR and former head of the KGB.
