All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

The problem with modern rock music-- and this extends to '90s "Grunge" rock-- is that "artists" thought you could be "extreme" or be a "shredder," and this, somehow, would be enough. No, it's not. Cornell had a interesting voice, but it's not enough to emote. First you have to write good songs. Nirvana wrote a total of about 7. Soundgarden is instantly forgettable.

Did you listen to the first song in this set?
It's a GREAT song.
I do agree that, for the most part, Chris Cornell was not a great songwriter.
But I think he wrote some great songs:
Preaching the End of the World
Black Hole Sun
Fell on Black Days
Times of Trouble
Hunger Strike
Cochise
And a lot of his other work was very, very good.
I think you don't understand the music.
