Drudge: Dow has just closed at record high?

Then things are really great!!!!
New York City’s share of poor people appears to have plateaued since the recession, at 21.4 percent, with more people working in 2012 than the year before, but at lower wages, according to a new city study. Contributing to the city’s economic problems were increases in the number of Asian-Americans, immigrants and residents of Queens slipping into poverty.
But under a broader definition of poverty that the city applies, the picture remains grim for a far larger number of New Yorkers.
As in 2011, 46 percent, or nearly half of New Yorkers, were making less than 150 percent of the poverty threshold, a figure that describes people who are struggling to get by.

San Jose Leaders Look To Build ‘Pods,’ ‘Microhouses’ To Shelter The Homeless

A new idea is taking shape in San Jose to help the down and out get out of tents and doorways and into more sturdy shelters. The idea involves building new neighborhoods for the homeless with shed-sized buildings.
The high-end sheds at The Shed Shop in Fremont were never designed to house the homeless
“The most common use is a home office,” said Paul Johnston of The Shed Shop
But with sturdy doors and windows, two-by-four construction, insulation and built-in electrical wiring they could be very livable.
“These are made just like a little house would be made,” Johnston said.
And that’s the idea behind a new idea at San Jose City Hall to help the homeless.
The Stock Market increases are now almost TOTALLY disconnected from the real economy.

Breaking: Watch the clown fall off the high wire. . .

Jay Carney is now trying to spin this email as a reference to the broader protests going on at the time of the Benghazi attack.

No one is really buying it.

This is surreal. If they think anyone would believe this they are more divorced from reality than we even imagined.

Carney is an appropriate name for this boob.

Colorado: High School Students Being Taught How To Be Starter Muslims

This Principal needs to be fired, ostracized from society, and live the rest of his life in the back woods of Northern Montana or something.

Fuck him and anyone who looks like him.
The principal at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado, is facing a hailstorm of criticism from some very angry parents and residents. The school recites the Pledge of Allegiance weekly, on Mondays.
Last Monday, a member of their “Cultural Arms Club” led the student body in an Arabic version of the pledge, replacing the words “under God” with “under Allah.”
Principal Tom Lopez denies any attempt to push an Islamic agenda, saying, “These students love this country. They were not being un-American in trying to do this. They believed they were accentuating the meaning of the words as spoken regularly in English.”
Principal Lopez doesn’t make any sense. Speaking unintelligible words in Arabic in some way accentuates their meaning? That is an extremely weak argument in defense of an ill-advised decision. He said the cultural clubs seeks to “destroy the barriers, embrace the cultures” that exist within the high school.
That would translate into “destroy the barriers to Islam and embrace it,” correct, Mr. Lopez?

"Americans Want to Pull Back From World Stage”

WSJ Poll, today
Americans in large numbers want the U.S. to reduce its role in world affairs even as a showdown with Russia over Ukraine preoccupies Washington, a Wall Street Journal/NBC Newspoll finds.
In a marked change from past decades, nearly half of those surveyed want the U.S. to be less active on the global stage, with fewer than one-fifth calling for more active engagement—an anti-interventionist current that sweeps across party lines.
I get it. Who needs all that crap?
But let’s simply envision the POSSIBILITY of some of the consequences. Just among our allies.
  1. We tell Japan they are on their own unless invaded, but we will consult and work with them always.
They then embark on a massive rebuilding of their armed forces, build the stealth jet Mitsubishi (makers of the Zero) designed, build ever large carriers, arm themselves with nukes, nuke subs and delivery vehicles, and in 20 years are far beyond where China is today, AT THE LEAST. They are a valuable ally, but our interests while somewhat similar are not identical, and they are feeling freer and freer to diverge, AND ACT
  2. We end all foreign aid, including that to Israel, and abandon efforts to be involved in forming a peace in the M.E.
Israel’s private companies begin selling strategic electronics and avionics to nations not aligned with us. They begin to add SU-35’s, and sign an agreement for joint development of indigenous stealth jets with India,Japan, and Australia. They design a nuclear sub for construction by Germany (makers of the Dolphins) for general joint sale. They produce AEW aircraft based on the Airbus A-340 and sell it to any buyers. They sell drones to anyone who will pay.
  3. We sign an agreement with Iran over nukes and withdraw completely from the M.E. as a result.
Iraq begins to slide towards being an ally/puppet of Iran and Kurdistan demands autonomy firing a full scale revolt in Turkish-Kurd areas, and ask for help from Israel to form a Kurdistan.
The civil war in Syria never ends causing mass starvation, and as the situation deteriorates both sides break out WMD’s causing Israel to create a buffer zone inside Syria, bringing the IDF into direct contact with the IRGC.
The USA has no NEED to be involved in any of these situations, but these are all easily imaginable, and the direct result of simply turning inwards. None of them seem to be ‘bad’ for the USA.
But….add another 20 years
I don’t WANT to deal with any of that and am FAR MORE interested in seeing our economy be what it ought to be. I want to see more disposable income for everyone based on created wealth.
But, only today we have found radioactive tuna off Oregon from Fukushima. This is ONE WORLD. We can’t get out of it. We can neither be the world’s policeman, nor can we be some armed neutral in a mountain redoubt, not when a small nuclear exchange somewhere will have outsize effects and create a chain of events which can lead anywhere. Just look at a stinking tiny peninsula in the Black Sea we are NOT involved in.

Maureen Dowd quotes Earl Weaver, hits home run

In the immortal words of Earl Weaver, the Hall of Famer who managed the Baltimore Orioles: “The key to winning baseball games is pitching, fundamentals, and three-run homers.” A singles hitter doesn’t scare anybody.
If you are GOING to be a singles hitter, you need to be sure your line up is 8 guys like:
Pete Rose
Rod Carew
Jacoby Ellsbury
Ty Cobb
It doesn’t feel like leadership. It doesn’t feel like you’re in command of your world.
How can we accept these reduced expectations and truculent passivity from the man who offered himself up as the moral beacon of the world, even before he was elected?
As Leon Wieseltier wrote in the latest New Republic, oppressed and threatened swaths of the world are jittery and despairing “because the United States seems no longer reliable in emergencies, which it prefers to meet with meals ready to eat.”
The Times’s Mark Landler, who traveled with the president on his Asia trip, reported that Obama will try to regain the offensive, including a graduation address at West Point putting his foreign policy in context.
Mr. President, don’t you know that we’re speeched out? It’s not what we need right now.
John Kerry is Mario Mendoza, EVERY SINGLE TIME AT BAT
Kathleen Sebelius?
we expect the president, especially one who ran as Babe Ruth, to hit home runs.
Sorry to tell you Maureen, but in the immortal words of Mr, Waturi, when we look at Mr, Obama …”I know you an get the job, but can you DO the job?”

Judicial Watch: Benghazi Documents Point to White House on Misleading Talking Points

From Will at THE OTHER NEWS:

Judicial Watch: Benghazi Documents Point to White House on Misleading Talking Points.HT:Judicialwatch.
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that on April 18, 2014, it obtained 41 new Benghazi-related State Department documents
They include a newly declassified email showing then-White House Deputy Strategic Communications Adviser Ben Rhodes and other Obama administration public relations officials attempting to orchestrate a campaign to “reinforce” President Obama and to portray the Benghazi consulate terrorist attack as being “rooted in an Internet video, and not a failure of policy.”

Other documents show that State Department officials initially described the incident as an “attack” a possible kidnap attempt.

The documents were released Friday as result of a June 21, 2013, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the Department of State (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:13-cv-00951)) to gain access to documents about the controversial talking points used by then-UN Ambassador Susan Rice for a series of appearances on television Sunday news programs on September 16, 2012.  Judicial Watch had been seeking these documents since October 18, 2012.

The Rhodes email was sent on sent on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 8:09 p.m. with the subject line:  “RE: PREP CALL with Susan, Saturday at 4:00 pm ET.”  The documents show that the “prep” was for Amb. Rice’s Sunday news show appearances to discuss the Benghazi attack.

The document lists as a “Goal”: “To underscore that these protests are rooted in and Internet video, and not a broader failure or policy.”

Rhodes returns to the “Internet video” scenario later in the email, the first point in a section labeled “Top-lines”:
[W]e’ve made our views on this video crystal clear. The United States government had nothing to do with it. We reject its message and its contents. We find it disgusting and reprehensible. But there is absolutely no justification at all for responding to this movie with violence. And we are working to make sure that people around the globe hear that message.

Among the top administration PR personnel who received the Rhodes memo were White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, Deputy Press Secretary Joshua Earnest, then-White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer, then-White House Deputy Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri, then-National Security Council Director of Communications Erin Pelton, Special Assistant to the Press Secretary Howli Ledbetter, and then-White House Senior Advisor and political strategist Davie Plouffe.

The Rhodes communications strategy email also instructs recipients to portray Obama as “steady and statesmanlike” throughout the crisis. Another of the “Goals” of the PR offensive, Rhodes says, is “[T]o reinforce the President and Administration’s strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges.” He later includes as a PR “Top-line” talking point:

I think that people have come to trust that President Obama provides leadership that is steady and statesmanlike. There are always going to be challenges that emerge around the world, and time and again, he has shown that we can meet them.

The Judicial Watch documents confirm that CIA talking points, that were prepared for Congress and may have been used by Rice on “Face the Nation” and four additional Sunday talk shows on September 16, had been heavily edited by then-CIA deputy director Mike Morell.

“Now we know the Obama White House’s chief concern about the Benghazi attack was making sure that President Obama looked good,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

And these documents undermine the Obama administration’s narrative that it thought the Benghazi attack had something to do with protests or an Internet video.  Given the explosive material in these documents, it is no surprise that we had to go to federal court to pry them loose from the Obama State Department.”Read the full story here.

Imam to Obama: ‘End Oppression of Muslims’; Obama to Imam: ‘Pray for Me’

From Will at THE OTHER NEWS:

Imam to Obama: ‘End Oppression of Muslims’; Obama to Imam: ‘Pray for Me’.

Imam to Obama: ‘End Oppression of Muslims’; Obama to Imam: ‘Pray for Me’.HT: CNSNews.
Visiting Malaysia’s National Mosque on Sunday, President Obama was asked by the institution’s imam to end oppression against Muslims worldwide, Malaysia’s national press agency Bernama reported.
“Pray for me,” Obama replied, according to Grand Imam Ismail Muhammad, who took him on a 25-minute tour of the mosque, called Masjid Negara in Malay, in Kuala Lumpur.

Obama also said that every day when he wakes up he always does his best to put an end to oppression and conflicts affecting communities,” Bernama quoted Ismail as saying.

The 70 year-old cleric said Obama had frequently replied with InsyAllah (Malay for “Allah willing”) and terima kasih (“thank you”) during the tour.

Malaysia’s Star newspaper quoted Abdullah Muhammad Zin, religious advisor to Prime Minister Najib Razak, as saying it was “not common” for the leader of a superpower to include a visit to a mosque in his itinerary.

“There can be no better way for Obama to honor Islam than by visiting Masjid Negara,” he said.
Bernama quoted several other senior Muslim figures commenting on the visit.

This is out of the ordinary as I cannot recall any non-Muslim world leader visiting the National Mosque and this is a good start for Muslims here,” said Ustaz Wan Akashah Wan Abdul Hamid, a religious scholar.

The news agency also cited a former National Mosque imam, Hassan Mahmood Al-Hafiz, as saying that “the willingness of the world leader to set foot on the Islamic landmark was a good omen, more so when Muslims were being wrongly linked to violence.”

Invited to comment on Obama’s decision to visit a mosque but not a church while in the country, Council of Churches of Malaysia general secretary Hermen Shastri demurred, but said that those responsible for arranging the visit had “ensured that he is made aware of the religious freedom issues in the country.”

A spokesman for the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship chairman, Rev. Dr. Eu Hong Seng, said he welcomed the fact Obama chose to tour the National Mosque.

Given the challenges and concerns for non-Muslim religions in Malaysia, especially Christianity, it would have been good for President Obama to also visit the places of religious worship of other religions,” he said.
“This would help him better understand the issues facing non-Muslim religions in Malaysia.”read the full story here.

'Death of a failed policy' - Germany’s CO2 and energy policy – about to falter.

From Will at THE OTHER NEWS:

'Death of a failed policy' - Germany’s CO2 and energy policy – about to falter.

'Death of a failed policy' - Germany’s CO2 and energy policy – about to falter? HT: WUWT.

On April 16th, 2014, a few quite remarkable statements were delivered during a discussion event at the premises of SMA Solar Technology AG, a leading German producer of photovoltaic panels and systems:

The truth is that the Energy U-Turn (“Energiewende”, the German scheme aimed at pushing the “renewable” share of electricity production to 80 % by 2050) is about to fail
“The truth is that under all aspects, we have underestimated the complexity of the “Energiewende”
“The noble aspiration of a decentralized energy supply, of self-sufficiency! This is of course utter madness”“Anyway, most other countries in Europe think we are crazy”

Had this been one of the small albeit growing number of German “sceptics” casting doubt upon the XXL-sized politico-economical scam that has cost the German populace more than € 500 billion since its inception in 2000, it would not have gotten more than a footnote in the local press, crammed somewhere in between “horoscope” and “lost and found”. In fact, the media actually tried to keep a lid on the facts by giving them as little coverage as possible.

But the man at the speaker’s desk was Sigmar Gabriel, acting vice-chancellor of the German government, Secretary of Commerce with responsibility for the said „Energiewende” and chairman of the German social democrats (SPD), the second-largest political force in the country.

Since December 2013, he is in charge of taming the runaway costs and growing security of supply risks that are unmasking the financial and technical nightmare of this ill-conceived project.

In the past few months, he seems to have gotten some unpleasant insights causing him to admit the above-mentioned inconvenient truths when he was pushed too far by a number of aggressive lobbyists of the “renewable energy” sector.

Gabriel, famous for his irascible temper that once already resulted in a heated verbal exchange with a top-dog TV journalist live on air, appears to have become quite candid when he vented his anger during the debate.

He must have realized his own political fate is in jeopardy because the task he has been assigned has conducted him into a situation that will inevitably result in failure.

With respect to electric energy generation, Germany has painted itself into a corner. Since the introduction of the “Renewable Energy” law (EEG) in 2000 aimed at replacing coal and gas-fired as well as nuclear power generation by so-called renewable energy sources, the household price for electricity has jumped by more than 200 %.

German customers now pay the second-highest electricity prices in Europe. At the same time, the task of stabilizing the grid against the massive erratic influx from solar and wind power plants that produce without regard for actual need has pushed the operators to their limits.

Now already, with a combined share of just some 13 % of total electricity production, their unreliable input is massively imperiling the stability of the grid.

Long-ignored financial and technical rules re-emerge and will force the German political class to abandon their “renewable” energy strategy centering on solar and wind power generation.

Since the only low CO2 alternative – nuclear power – has been deviled by all political parties and the media beyond any chance of short-term oblivion, Germany will soon have to revert to coal for its power needs.

And that in turn implies the country will have to abandon all aspirations to lower its CO2 emissions.

German politicians might soon find out that demonizing CO2 is becoming a speedy path to ruining their career. And given the importance of the country within Europe and the pioneering role it claimed in the international crusade against climate change by limiting CO2 emissions, this might well herald the start of a paradigm shift of epochal dimensions in the whole climate change debate.Hmmm........"So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”........He who laughs last has the best laugh!

1695 Tour Book Contains No Arab Settlements in "Palestina"

The author Relandi[1], a real scholar, geographer, cartographer and well known philologist, spoke perfect Hebrew, Arabic and ancient Greek, as well as the European languages. The book was written in Latin. In 1695 he was sent on a sightseeing tour to Israel, at that time known as Palestina. In his travels he surveyed approximately 2500 places where people lived that were mentioned in the bible or Mishnah. His research method was interesting.
He first mapped the Land of Israel.Secondly, Relandi identifies each of the places mentioned in the Mishnah or Talmud along with their original source. If the source was Jewish, he listed it together with the appropriate sentence in the Holy Scriptures. If the source was Roman or Greek he presented the connection in Greek or Latin.
Thirdly, he also arranged a population survey and census of each community.

His most prominent conclusions
1. Not one settlement in the Land of Israel has a name that is of Arabic origin.
Most of the settlement names originate in the Hebrew, Greek, Latin or Roman languages. In fact, till today, except to Ramlah, not one Arabic settlement has an original Arabic name. Till today, most of the settlements names are of Hebrew or Greek origin, the names distorted to senseless Arabic names. There is no meaning in Arabic to names such as Acco (Acre), Haifa, Jaffa, Nablus, Gaza, or Jenin and towns named Ramallah, El Halil and El-Kuds (Jerusalem) lack historical roots or Arabic philology. In 1696, the year Relandi toured the land, Ramallah, for instance, was called Bet'allah (From the Hebrew name Beit El) and Hebron was called Hebron (Hevron) and the Arabs called Mearat HaMachpelah
El Chalil, their name for the Forefather Abraham.
2. Most of the land was empty, desolate.
Most of the land was empty, desolate, and the inhabitants few in number and mostly concentrate in the towns Jerusalem, Acco, Tzfat, Jaffa, Tiberius and Gaza. Most of the inhabitants were Jews and the rest Christians. There were few Muslims, mostly nomad Bedouins. Nablus, known as Shchem, was exceptional, where approximately 120 people, members of the Muslim Natsha family and approximately 70 Shomronites, lived.

In the Galilee capital, Nazareth, lived approximately 700 Christians and in Jerusalem approximately 5000 people, mostly Jews and some Christians.
The interesting part was that Relandi mentioned the Muslims as nomad Bedouins who arrived in the area as construction and agriculture labor reinforcement, seasonal workers.
In Gaza for example, lived approximately 550 people, fifty percent Jews and the rest mostly Christians. The Jews grew and worked in their flourishing vineyards, olive tree orchards and wheat fields (remember Gush Katif?) and the Christians worked in commerce and transportation of produce and goods. Tiberius and Tzfat were mostly Jewish and except of mentioning fishermen fishing in Lake Kinneret - the Lake of Galilee - a traditional Tiberius occupation, there is no mention of their occupations. A town like Um el-Phahem was a village where ten families, approximately fifty people in total, all Christian, lived and there was also a small Maronite church in the village (The Shehadah family).

3. No Palestinian heritage or Palestinian nation.
The book totally contradicts any post-modern theory claiming a "Palestinian heritage," or Palestinian nation. The book strengthens the connection, relevance, pertinence, kinship of the Land of Israel to the Jews and the absolute lack of belonging to the Arabs, who robbed the Latin name Palestina and took it as their own.

In Granada, Spain, for example, one can see Arabic heritage and architecture. In large cities such as Granada and the land of Andaluc√Éa, mountains and rivers like Guadalajara, one can see genuine Arabic cultural heritage: literature, monumental creations, engineering, medicine, etc. Seven hundred years of Arabic reign left in Spain an Arabic heritage that one cannot ignore, hide or camouflage. But here, in Israel there is nothing like that! Nada, as the Spanish say! No names of towns, no culture, no art, no history, and no evidence of Arabic rule; only huge robbery, pillaging and looting; stealing the Jews’ holiest place, robbing the Jews of their Promised Land. Lately, under the auspices of all kind of post modern Israelis - also hijacking and robbing us of our Jewish history.

The STUPENDOUS Obama Admin manages to tell Israel they are going to be an Apartheid state on Holocaust Remembrance Day

John Kerry warns Israel could become ‘apartheid state’

US secretary of state risks Israeli anger with warning that absence of peace deal with Palestinians could lead towards apartheid-style situation

So WHAT if the PLO and HAMAS become one to negotiate with over the weekend?
So WHAT if HAMAS said they would never recognize Israel?
John Kerry says, in the official name of Barack Obama, if you do not make peace with those whose purpose is to kill you all BECAUSE YOU EXIST, you are an apartheid state?
Frankly, if I were the head of such a state, in those conditions, I would recall my ambassador and call off the sale of the anti missile defense software to the USA, and then send the head of the IAF, Elbit and Rafale, and the Foreign Minister to Moscow and Peking in that order.
Obama is playing a very dangerous game with US security as if he cannot lose.
HE CAN. Israel is an ally.
They can get aircraft from Russia or China. They already build their own destroyers and buy subs from Germany. They manufacture and SELL their own combat and recon drones.
This can all go south for the USA.

Saudi Arabia wants to regulate what's seen on YouTube

Censorship in the Islamic world, as seen in the House of Saud:
Saudi Arabia is studying ways to regulate locally-produced YouTube content, including the possibility of requiring government-issued licenses for some users, said an official on Sunday.

Riyadh Najm, the president of The General Authority for Audiovisual Media, said his agency is still trying to figure out which type of YouTube content-producers would be affected and how the government agency would apply new regulations.

"We do not have a clear way yet implement to this," Najm told The Associated Press. "It is not clear who will be asked of this... it is all under study."

YouTube's parent company, Google, said it had no comment on the matter.

The kingdom has taken other steps recently to regulate online media, ordering dozens of Internet news outlets to stop operating for not having the required licenses.

Najm says the aim of studying new regulations is to find ways to better manage the explosion of YouTube content coming out of the kingdom and to ensure users respect the country's conservative Muslim norms. He says his agency, which operates under the Ministry of Culture and Information, is not seeking to stifle online creativity or expression.
Yawn. They are, and won't admit it under the taqqiya approach. Forcing internet sites to get a license to operate is exactly how they're choking off free speech in that horrendous country.
Najm explained that there are "widely accepted" norms in Saudi society against insulting another person or groups of people. Public criticism of the king, for example, is strictly prohibited.

More than a dozen Saudis in the past weeks have posted video statements on YouTube sharply criticizing the royal family and demanding change. At least three of those who appeared in videos have since been arrested, along with seven others connected to the videos, security officials have told the AP.

More recently a Saudi sports journalist was sentenced to three months prison and 50 lashes for defaming presidents of two Saudi soccer clubs on Twitter. He was also banned from Twitter for three months, according to local Saudi state media reports.
It's clear that floggings for even the most trivial of matters are still prevalent in Saudi Arabia, and that's not likely to stop soon.

British lawyers will get training in sharia

As the UK legal system incorporates sharia, they proceed to offer training for lawyers:
High street lawyers are being offered formal training in Islamic Sharia Law by the professional body which represents solicitors, The Sunday Telegraph can disclose.

A new training course being run by the Law Society this summer is described as an “introduction to Islamic Sharia law for small firms”.

Critics said the fact that the Law Society was offering training in Sharia law created the “perception” that it was now “a legal discipline”.

[...] The Sharia Law event at the Law Society’s headquarters on Chancery Lane, central London on June 24 has already sold out.
Indeed they have, and what kind of people attended?
There is increasing concern about by the use of Sharia Law in communities in the UK – last week a campaign called ShariaWatch was launched to monitor its spread.

There were unsubstantiated claims at its launch in the House of Lords that MPs and peers were afraid to speak out about Sharia Law because of the fear of reprisals.

Baroness Cox, a campaigning cross-bench peer who hosted the launch, said the Law Society’s encouragement for Sharia law was “disturbing”.

She said: “While every citizen in this country is free to practice their religion, it is deeply disturbing that an organisation as prestigious as the Law Society appears to be encouraging the implementation of Sharia Law.”

Islamic law was “often inherently discriminatory against women”, including in the way women were treated in divorce and inheritance cases, she said.

Lady Cox added: “Muslim women have claimed they feel ‘betrayed’ by Britain: they came here to escape Sharia law and they find the situation worse here than in the countries they came from.”
If there's any fear of reprisals, the blame can be laid at the feet of any UK politician who condones this monstrosity, for leading to such a situation where you've got potentially violent maniacs in sheep's clothing lurking around corners. And Cox is right, the UK's made women under Islam feel less safe than in the countries they were originally from.

Is the republican party REALLY going to endorse amnesty? WITHOUT ..AT LEAST..real border security …FIRST?

I have always maintained that the immigration into the USA before the 1924 restrictions made the USA the nation it is. Made it the 20th century’s gargantuan economic, scientific, and industrial nation it became.
I want to see that kind of influx of people who WANT to become americans for that that purpose.
What is going on now is not that.
It is possible that if the republican leadership DOES simply go along with an amnesty for illegal aliens, and leaves the border as it is, there will be a clean third party break with fingers pointing back and forth.
Even if that does not happen, the final lines below ring loud

The mass suicide of Republican leadership: Will the Tea Party leave the sinking ship?

By , Communities Digital News
TEA PARTY EXPRESS, April 27, 2014 – The Republican Leadership of the House of Representatives is on suicide watch. They are bound and determined to commit political Hari-Kari, despite the warnings of their base and conservative activists.
America has never seen a political party commit suicide before.
But there is always a first time.
Republicans are making their suicide march by abandoning their base totally. Congressman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, the Chair of the Republican Conference, announced that Obamacare was here to stay. Her words confirmed what we already knew: the GOP is not fighting against Obamacare.
House Speaker John Boehner was even more direct. He now says it is too late to repeal Obamacare.
John Boehner was Obama’s silent partner. This is what conservatives warned about. When Ted Cruz and Mike Lee led the fight last year to defund Obamacare, true conservatives supported them, knowing if it was not defunded then, it never would be.
At the time, John Boehner said it was not the right time for the fight. For Boehner, it is never the right time for a fight until it is too late to fight.
Boehner and the House Republican Leadership have stabbed the Tea Party and their base in the back. Now, instead of doing what the base wants, namely fighting to end Obamacare, Boehner wants to commit political suicide.  His top priority now is Amnesty. The Tea Party is in open revolt over this and may well leave the Republican Party if Boehner tries to push Amnesty through.
A little history is worth remembering here.
In 2006 and 2008, the Republican Party was slaughtered.  The GOP was on the endangered species list. One more bad election and the GOP would have taken its place as a minor party, with only slightly more members than the flat Earth society.
Then came the Tea Party.
The Tea Party saved the GOP.
The Tea Party only asked for a few things in return. The Tea Party asked for smaller government. The Tea Party asked the Republicans to stand up against wasteful government spending, and The Tea Party asked the Republicans to at least defund Obamacare, if not force its repeal.
Once the Republicans took over in 2011, all the Tea Party got was John Boehner’s freshly laundered white flag of surrender. He surrendered on the debt ceiling, he surrendered on spending and he surrendered on Obamacare
Every time conservatives wanted to fight Obamacare, the GOP leadership told conservatives it was not the right time and Majority Leader Eric Cantor helpfully offered yet another totally meaningless vote that he knew was not going anywhere.
Republicans only have one choice here. Either the conservatives revolt and depose the entire leadership team of Boehner, Cantor, Whip Kevin McCarthy and McMorris-Rodgers or see the end of the Republican Party.
Chris Cillizza writing in his blog “The Fix” on the Washington Post website, on Friday posed the question, will the Tea Party walk away from the GOP in 2016?
Forget 2016! If the GOP follows Boehner’s lead right on to the crazy train, the Tea Party will leave in 2014
If the Republican Party isn’t going to cut taxes, cut spending and stop Amnesty, what good is it?

"the PLO is negotiating on behalf of the Palestinian people. Anyone who joins the PLO will be bound by its decisions”

Hamas denies willingness to recognize Israel

'Washington Post' quoted Hamas official as saying such move would be discussed as part of unity deal with PLO
Hamas on Sunday fiercely denied American media’s reports it is considering recognizing Israel.
According to aWashington Post's report, Taher al-Nunu, a media adviser for Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, said Saturday the Islamist group is considering recognizing Israel. However, such move would have to be discussed with the PLO as part of the efforts to form a new unity government comprised of the two Palestinian rival factions.
Al-Nunu denied the report, saying this was yet another an attempt to weaken Hamas’s stance towards Israel. Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a top Hamas leader, added the group will not recognize Israel as long as “our land is under occupation.”
Sorry, for the naive, but HAMAS would no longer be HAMAS if they or any govt they were a part of recognized Israel and it’s rights. HAMAS has said only muslims have a right to a ‘waqf consecrated by God for the muslims’ and that all negotiations are pointless.
More they have declared over and over that only jihad can resolve that situation. They are the Muslim Brotherhood.
Draw your own conclusions.

Yesterday about this time, I acquired a new 'follower'. Now politeness in twitter world extends to the point that you should at least consider strongly following them back.
However, as we all know, there are some people who may appear to be of a similar view on some issues who, upon further review ( american sports parlance) turn out to be some kind of (racist, homophobic, religious, fascist, communist or any other other type of) freaks. So I look not only to what these people have said, but what the people THEY follow have said, for a few minutes anyway.
So this person followed another who quoted the great moron, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. This gavone in speaking of what super religious jews are allowed to do on Shabbat (nothing a board of rabbis have declared to be 'work-like' .. including, as my own grandparents did ..turning on the gas burners on a gas stove) said that the goyim (everyone not jewish) were on earth to serve the jews (my grandparents had a neighbor in the apt next door in the Bronx, who would turn the lights off on friday night since they were not allowed to..or they left them on). This guy's pronouncements equate to the Westboro Baptist Church as a pronouncement of Christianity.
When I saw this quote that is how I responded.

Little did I know I was actually trolling bait in a pool of KKK, super WASP, Salafi, Qom freakish, BNP, truther lampreys which went BERSERK went I pointed out (they don't seem to care for Israel  ;) ) that Israel's right to exist come from 2500 years of attempted genocide and expulsions, citing a few from 1200-1900 Europe.

The purveyor of that quote finally pulled out the jews use blood in matzah 'saturday night live level' joke and of course I thanked him for finally self identifying as a racist freak. Having a good time. But the amazing thing on twitter is noticing what it is that stimulates reactions and followers. Usually, rather than a thoughtful (if a such thing is possible in 140 characters), the quick, biting, and funny snark scores, or my fave, the jpg with the speech or thought balloon.

Maybe this brings some retweets or favoriting, or a follower or 2. No biggy. All good clean fun.
Yesterday brought over 500 results in about 90 minutes, before I blocked every SINGLE person in the thread because I would never be able to see actual comments from actual persons in the notifications tab.

BTW, did you know it was both Israel AND the CIA that created and supported Al Qaeda?
They had proof,.... why hasn't Al Qaeda attacked Israel?

When I pointed out neither had they attacked Mexico, or Laos, or Angola, or FInland, and asked what it was that was different about Israel from those nations, and that apparently all these brainiacs had no knowledge of the score(?) of just European expulsions of the jews... they went CUCKOO

So if you want to get mentioned on twitter, or perhaps in life, and maybe later .. defend the jews. Or don't ... just say 'Israel has a right to exist'.

BTW, I didn't follow this person back.

PAUL WESTON is the leader of Liberty GB - a great anti-Jihadist, quasi-culturist, political party.  He has been arrested for reading Winston Churchill quotes concerning Islam!!!!

Please spread the word.  I am not sure if he is still in jail or not.  But, this incident should not be allowed.  If there is a court hearing, it should be publicized.   Help give this case the notoriety it deserves.  Perhaps it will help him win the seat for which he is running.
