Quantitative Easing, Propping Up Corporations, Violating Civil Rights, Sending Hush Money Checks Out To Citizens - Trump is Turning Out to Be BushBama Part II

Trump Wants To Send Americans A Check “Immediately” In Response To Coronavirus

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Tuesday that the Trump administration wants to send checks to Americans “in the next two weeks” in an effort to help people cope with the economic fallout due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re looking at sending checks to Americans immediately,” Mnuchin said during a press briefing from the White House. “Americans need cash now, the president wants to get cash now. I mean now—in the next few weeks.”

I don't like it either, but what choice does he have, really? It's a gamble, but perhaps this whole thing blows over in a couple weeks.

I am keeping that in mind.

My job here is not to simply acquiesce, but to point out perspective, and to try to outline potential moral issues, and responses.

I write the way I do to give a bit of a jolt, because people need a jolt to get out of their comfort zone and examine different perspectives.

I am not ignorant. But I am a propagandist of sorts.

I propagandize for the United States vision of the world, as is outlined in our Constitution.

As it says at the top right of our page:

We Are

THE PARALLEL GOVERNMENT
OF THE ENTIRE WORLD
All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

I get that.

My despair is that the choices seem so stark. It would be nice if America came 'round to its senses and decided not to throw away the legacy of self-governance and individual opportunity that has done so well for us.

But I think we have passed that point. I date to 2018 mid-terms. That we could be so stupid to go right back to the globalist / destroyer-of-liberty model we dodged in 2016 still seems incomprehensible to me.

Furthermore it now seems inevitable that the only course back will involve copious bloodshed. A course I doubt I will survive.

Maybe if Trump's gamble pays off and we get back to normal quick and the DNC/media frenzy looks the laughingstock it probably is...maybe a lot of people will be swayed. I am pessimistic but hopeful.

A long, hot civil war will be horrible for everyone.
