You can run, but you can't hide, Mr. Bancel.
Moderna’s CEO Stéphane Bancel deleted his Twitter account this week after he sold tens of millions of dollars in stock according to reports.
The strange action by the Big Pharma CEO has left investors worried and confused as no official statement from the company has been made yet clarifying the incident.
Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel suddenly deleted his Twitter account this week.
Former Blackrock hedge fund manager Edward Dowd, who has accused Pfizer and Moderna of fraud in their COVID vaccine clinical trials, tweeted the following shortly after the incident:
“Your CEO nuked his Twitter account yesterday…my educated guess that was done on the advice of in house lawyers. $MRNA
Not suspicious at all.”
Bancel has recently offloaded tens of thousands of Moderna shares, earning him more than $20 million dollars:
Bancel has dumped over $20 million worth of shares in 2022 alone.
It remains unclear as to why Bancel has deleted his Twitter account. However, in an interview last month, Dowd explained to show host Steve Bannon that both Moderna and Pfizer had committed fraud in their clinical trials for the COVID-19 vaccine.
If proven true, it would mean that both Pfizer and Moderna become liable for all injuries and deaths caused by their vaccines.
Dowd said:
“I also have a thesis as to what is going on at Pfizer and Moderna, and how those companies are probably fraudulent. These vaccines were pushed through and I think the clinical trial data is fraud.
I believe that due to the institutional imperative that was in place at the time, and the speed with which they tried to approve these products with this unproven technology, fraud did occur.”
