Yesterday, in posting on the terror arrests in London and Toronto I speculated that they were related, and that we might be under threat of a simultaneous multi-national attack. I posited that such an attack would not likely include Canada, if it didn't also include a host of other countries, including Denmark and Sweden.
Well, it looks as if I might be correct:

Well before police tactical teams began their sweeps around Toronto on Friday, at least 18 related arrests had already taken place in Canada, the United States, Britain, Bosnia, Denmark, Sweden, and Bangladesh.
The six-month RCMP investigation, called Project OSage, is one of several overlapping probes that include an FBI case called Operation Northern Exposure and a British probe known as Operation Mazhar.

The Savvy Fascist: The Fate Which Awaits Europe
I am concerned about Europe falling into Fascism for two reasons:
1) as a response to the Islamofascists among them, and
2) as a reaction to the Dhimmified governments who are in place currently.
We have already seen LePen command 17% of the vote in the last major French election. Some estimates have him climbing into the 30% range in the next election. If this happens, it can only be construed as a violent reaction by the French people against the existant style of Villepin and Chiraq.
In other words, the people don't see an alternative in the current political structure, and they don't trust Sarkozy, because, as an insider, he is considered to be more of the same, even if he does talk differently.
But, if Europe swings extreme rightward, we can not blame all of it on rebellion against the powers-that-be. Because, Europe is made up of a bunch of grownups, and they ought to know what LePen represents.
Yes, if a man has spoken in Fascist language early in his career, and then cleans up his act, but still spends an inordinate amount of time obssessing agaisnt immigration (even if there is a valid reason to oppose further immigration), it is likely that he is not rehabilitated, but instead, has just become a more savvy Fascist.
And, Europe ought to know that. Therefore, they will be responsible if they lurch to the extreme right. I don't think we should offer them a pat on the back and a commiserating excuse.
Fascism is not the answer to any problem, not even the problem of hundreds of thousands, or even millions of Jihadis in your midst.

Internet Tracking Helped Snare Toronto Terror Suspects - 3 Tons Of Ammonium Nitrate Found
Yes, internet tracking, like the tracking that many of the Democratic Lefties in our Congress want to stop, led to the terror arrests in Toronto. And, it led to the discovery of three tons of Ammonium Nitrate, which is precisely three times that which was used in the Okalhoma City Bombing:
Last night's dramatic police raid and arrest of as many as a dozen men — with more to come — marks the culmination of Canada's largest ever terrorism investigation into an alleged homegrown cell.
The chain of events began two years ago, sparked by local teenagers roving through Internet sites, reading and espousing anti-Western sentiments and vowing to attack at home, in the name of oppressed Muslims here and abroad.
Their words were sometimes encrypted, the Internet sites where they communicated allegedly restricted by passwords, but Canadian spies back in 2004 were reading them. And as the youths' words turned into actions, they began watching them.
According to sources close to the investigation, the suspects are teenagers and men in their 20s who had a relatively typical Canadian upbringing, but — allegedly spurred on by images of conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan and angered by what they saw as the mistreatment of Muslims at home — became increasingly violent.
Police say they acquired weapons, picked targets and made detailed plans.
They travelled north to a "training camp" and made propaganda videos imitating jihadists who had battled in Afghanistan. At night, they washed up at a Tim Hortons nearby.
One was a math and chemistry whiz from Scarborough who grew up to become a 22-year-old husband and father.
It's unclear why the authorities decided to act on their suspicions yesterday.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police conducted a counterterrorism raid in the Greater Toronto Area involving over 400 personnel and broke a Canadian terrorist cell planning to bomb Canadian targets. Twelve adult Muslim jihadists and five juveniles were arrested, some of them second-generation Canadian citizens and some of them recent immigrants. They ranged in ages from in their 20’s to teens. They arrested group was described as “Muslims, but not Arabs” and unconnected to the UK raid yesterday in attempts to break up a British chemical attack plot.
According to RCMP Assistant Commissioner Mike McDonell, the group had ordered and received into their possession over three tons of ammonium nitrate, the fertilizer component used in making an explosive slurry. Clearly a massive amount, probably intended to make several huge bombs, this is three times the amount of ammonium nitrate used in the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
So, the Toronto terror raid was even larger, in terms of manpower used, than the London raids of yesterday.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police released the names of the "youths" involved:
TORONTO, June 3 /CNW/ - On Friday, June 2, 2006, members of the RoyalCanadian Mounted Police and partners of the Integrated National Security Enforcement Team arrested 12 individuals and charged them under Section 83 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

"To put this in context, the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City that killed 168 people took one tonne of ammonium nitrate."

Governments and aid agencies should encourage families to stay put by tackling environmental degradation, such as the spread of deserts, that forces many to leave, rather than promote migration, the Optimum Population Trust (OPT), a British group that campaigns for a sustainable population, said.
Parts of the planet that have been damaged by climate change, soil erosion and water shortages merely deteriorated further once their inhabitants fled.
In addition, migrants typically increased their ecological footprint – the damage each person inflicts on the environment – by moving from low to high-consuming countries.
The ecological footprint of someone from Bangladesh increases sixteen-fold if he or she emigrated to the US, while that of a Somali citizen rises more than thirteen-times when he or she migrated to Britain.
The push factors behind migration could only be solved by reducing the impact of consumption and population in richer countries and supporting environmentally sustainable development in poorer nations, the OPT said.
OPT patron Professor Aubrey Manning said Britain was morally obliged to accept some migrants “but we need immigration like we need a hole in the head”.

Toronto Terror Arrests Update: 12 Arrested - Sources Say Canadians Intelligence Planted Story
As I have been saying, I believe intelligence officials in Canada, the United States, and Britain have been releasing stories about their "urgent" tracking of terror-cells. In this story, about yesterdays arrest in Toronto, an anonymous source confirms my suspicion:
“The RCMP, CSIS and the Integrated National Security Enforcement Team arrested individuals throughout the GTA today in relation to terrorist-related offences,” confirmed RCMP spokesman Corp. Michele Paradis.
As of about 9 p.m. last night, Paradis also added “there are ongoing arrests.”
Though unconfirmed, sources have told the Sun police arrested a possible home-grown al-Qaeda terrorist cell operating in Toronto that had planned to bomb the subway as early as Monday.
Just three days ago, Sun columnist Joe Warmington wrote about two men spotted filming the subway system on May 23 at Keele station, which raised alarm bells with Toronto Police and CSIS.
But sources also tell the Sun that the RCMP “planted” that story with the media, though reasons remain unclear.
Police had been watching several alleged terrorist camps since 2004 — one of which is reported to be in the Muskokas near Bracebridge and another near Thunder Bay, a police source told Warmington late last night.
“Recently some officers followed two men who left the camp near Thunder Bay and headed to Toronto,” said the source.
Another Sun source said there was a similar “terrorist” camp near Barry’s Bay — within an hour’s drive of several Ontario nuclear operations.
Other source also tell the Sun the arrested individuals were amassing weapons.
“This is huge, this is massive.”
Intelligence sources only have one reason to release information with regards to ongoing investigations; they feel they have lost track of some of the cells, so they are resorting to attempting to intimidate all cells into believing they are being tracked.
Also, it is important to note that there are ongoing and massive, "urgent" investigations going on in three major Western countries all at the same time.
I believe there are plans for a major multi-national coordinated attack on Western targets.
It is very hard to believe that Canada would be a target, and yet Europe is not. I think we can surmise that there may well also be plans for France, Denmark, Holland, Sweden, and possibly Germany. However, those countries have released no information of late with regards to ongoing investigations.

"'It's good to have a very kind person near you, caring about your problems,' said Akram Rashidi, 34, at the counter of a stationery store where the run on envelopes outpaced the supply of change. 'The important thing is that the president and important people are caring about the people.'"

The interviewees in the article appear to be social utopians, a failed doctrine if ever there was one. But the larger question might be this: Is Ahmadinejad also a Mahdi-utopian?

We know many people (apparently) who have taken it upon themselves to host foreign students who have come to the USA.
Last night I was invited to hear one of them speak at a local temple.
You might assume from this that the young man was staying with a local jewish family up here in Normal Rockwell america. You would be right.
So Mrs. Epaminondas and I headed over to the temple where instead of the sermon, this young man was introduced, and began with only a little nervousness to speak about his home, his nation, it's history, his religion, and his life.
His name was Mahmoud, and he is from Egypt.
This was not the only surprise.

According to Aut News An Iran base website run by Iranian student organization of Amir Kabir University in Tehran, Iran which first brought our attention Monday, May 29 to the Arrest of Abed Tavanche an Iranian dissident blogger (Link) way before the Reporters Without Borders (Link) which was announced on Thursday, June 1.
Now Aut News is reporting from an anonymous sources in the regime that Abed is in the Information Center of Sepah (torture center for getting information from the prisoners or admitting to things that the interrogators would want them too).
To many people thing brings the case of Zahra_Kazemi an Iranian Canadian Journalist who got killed after the torture by the regime.
We the bloggers really have to something to save our fellow blogger who was fighting for freedom and democracy by blogging!
Please again contact the Human rights advocates and want them to condemn this act of the regime in a louder voice and do more than just putting it on their website, contact your government officials.
Please do something tomorrow is too late the regime may not even announce his death and just get rid of his body !

6-6-06? - Huge Anti-Terror Raids In Toronto
In one day, we had the raids in London, involving 250 police, some, apparently, wearing chemical-weapons gear, and now, another involving more than 100 police in Toronto:
The RCMP plan to answer more questions on Saturday about a series of raids and arrests in the Toronto area on Friday.
At least eight people were taken into custody on terrorism-related charges, though there is little more information available.
More than 100 officers were involved in the sweep, including members of the Integrated National Security Enforcement Team.
More arrests and more charges are expected overnight.
The RCMP will release more details at a news conference on Saturday.

“The world must be made safe for democracy,” said President Woodrow Wilson to Congress on April 2nd, 1917, some months after he proposed “peace without victory.” Four days later Congress approved a declaration of war against Germany. Wilson could have asked for a declaration much earlier. German submarines were sinking neutral American shipping in a policy of unrestricted submarine warfare, five merchant ships being sunk in February and March that year alone.
Wilson had been waiting for a more “overt” act of belligerence against the U.S other than the loss of American lives at sea at German hands. But the most recent sinkings, together with the Zimmermann note to the German minister in Mexico, forced him to face reality. The Zimmermann note pledged Germany to support Mexico in an invasion of the U.S. southwest to deter certain American entry into the European conflict until after Germany had beaten Britain and France to exhaustion. If the U.S. declared war, German foreign minister Alfred Zimmermann instructed his minister in Mexico to assure Mexico that “we shall make war together and together make peace. We shall give generous financial support and it is understood that Mexico is to reconquer the lost territory in New Mexico, Texas and Arizona.”
A declaration of war was not what Wilson had in mind as an altruist “tonic of a moral adventure,” as editor and fellow Progressive Herbert Croly had prescribed for America years before. Rather, it was the role of mediator and “peace maker” in the conflicts and international disputes of the early 20th century.
Shuttle ahead ninety years to Georgetown University, where British Prime Minister Tony Blair, in remarks about the “new” global politics, proclaimed, “Idealism becomes the realpolitik.” An essential part of that “idealism” is the introduction of “democracy” in regions of the world that have seen no legitimate governments in over a century, chiefly because their inhabitants did not know what to do with democracy, except to vote themselves new tyrants or tolerate old ones. Democracy, however, means mob rule, no matter how legitimate it sounds. It recognizes no individual rights that a majority cannot abridge or abrogate.
Even Wilson’s contemporary, Vladimir Lenin, understood that. “Democracy is not identical with majority rule.” Off by one adverb in that statement, he elucidates the point in contradiction of himself. “Democracy is a State which recognizes the subjection of the minority to the majority, that is, an organization for the systematic use of force by one class against the other, by one part of the population against another.” (Chapter 4, State and Revolution, 1919) Which is why democracy was as much his enemy as “capitalistic” republicanism, to be ruthlessly crushed. After all, in terms of a nation’s population, a totalitarian party’s members are always in the minority.
The point here is that President Bush’s and Mr. Blair’s “idealism” does not fundamentally differ from Wilson’s. Its moral core consists of blind duty and the sacrifice of wealth and of lives to accomplish the spread of democracy. Integral to the concept is that the U.S. should eschew its selfish isolationism and adopt a proactive, Kantian “moral” role to correct wrongs wherever it might see them. Our political leaders are ruled by the little Prussian’s categorical imperative to “do the right thing” regardless of cost, self-interest, or even of consequence.
“Democracy,” rather than being an object of populist appeal or simply because it is easier for politicians to pronounce than “constitutional republic” (which is what the U.S. is becoming less and less), thus complements such “idealist realpolitik.” That is the true character of Mr. Blair’s “realpolitik.” It is the “idealism” of humility, retreat, and ultimate self-destruction.
In the conflict with Iran and its neo-Hitlerian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Bush contends that the issue of Iran’s nuclear weapons development can be resolved with “robust diplomacy.” That was Wilson’s premise behind his proposal for an international peace conference to end the fighting between the European powers, and the basis of Neville Chamberlain’s negotiations with Nazi Germany.
Wilson also said, in April 1915, that “No nation is fit to sit in judgment upon any other nation.” Both Bush and Blair have refined that idea, alleging that no religion is fit to sit in judgment of any other creed. Their altruist, Christian premises forbid them to condemn Islam, and allow them to claim that Islam is not the motivating force behind terrorism. It has been “hijacked,” or “perverted.”
Anyone who has read the Koran knows this is an absurd notion, as absurd a notion that Hitler “hijacked” Nazism or that Stalin “perverted” communism. But, then, Bush and Blair believe in democracy, as well.
Some commentators may suspect that the May 31st news that the U.S. is willing to negotiate directly with Iran is a ruse to assure world opinion that it is not trying to bully Iran into giving up its nuclear enrichment program, and that it does not intend to employ force against Iran.
Given recent developments, we can believe that it is not a ruse. President Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice are willing to take both of Ahmadinejad’s hands and personally lead him to the higher plateau of international amity, global peace, and pure “democracy,” with Prime Minister Blair, Europe, Russia, China and others flinging confetti and flowers at them. Ahmadinejad can snarl and missile-rattle all he wishes; Bush and Rice are willing to forget dignity and take the abuse in the name of a higher cause.
Ahmadinejad is a beast, they agree. But he is there, a metaphysical given, and must be dealt with without igniting more conflict or exacerbating existing animosity. Ma Rice acknowledges that Iran is a supporter of terrorism “in Lebanon and Palestinian territories,” she remarked at a news conference, according to an Associated Press report on May 31st. But, “Iran can and should be a responsible state.” No mention by her or Bush of its support of terrorism in Iraq, where Iran’s “insurgent” proxies and planners are picking off Americans and Iraqis by the busload. Apparently, that is not “overt’ enough an act of war.
Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan were also metaphysical givens. Our policy more than half a century ago was to erase those givens, and that was the end of that. There were no negotiating “tables” to lure dictators to in the name of peace, just the burnt out shell of the Reichstag and the wind-blown ashes of Hiroshima.
As John Lewis remarked in correspondence elsewhere in response to the AP report, “Note that Rice’s admission that Iran has a right to nuclear energy is the same error the British made prior to WW II, when they accepted that Germany had the same ‘right to self-determination’ as other nations.”
Iran’s “self-determination,” in light of its record and especially in view of Ahmadinejad’s bellicose rantings, includes the “destiny” of ruling the Mideast by force or subversion, the annihilation of Israel, and setting the terms of peace with the rest of the world in a quest for a Pax Persia via nuclear payload.
In the staring contest between Ahmadinejad, Bush and Rice, the pragmatists blinked. So they must always blink when facing bellicosity. Their concept of ensuring national security is to offer the aggressor bribes, such as the U.S and Britain did in Vienna on June 1st, and to rule out military force.
The “realpolitik” of U.S. policy to date has been one of uncompromising pragmatism. Pragmatism as an “ideal” and as a policy must by its nature sacrifice the good to evil; otherwise it would not be pragmatism. Evil derives its strength from compromised and ultimately vanquished principles. Pragmatism discounts principles as a guide to moral conduct; they are forgotten in a rush to keep a nemesis at bay.
The principle left behind here is the right of the U.S. to its self-defense against a threatening rogue state. Reason and reality have no role in a policy of pragmatism. Yet, despite pragmatism’s sorry and costly role in history, especially in the 20th century, current leaders are convinced that pragmatism is the only “moral” path to follow. They are determined to make it “work.” But it works only to the benefit of the enemies of civilization.
The New York Times, under the chortling headline on June 1st, “Bush’s Realization on Iran: No Good Choice Left Except Talk,” reported that the president asked Rice “several months ago that he needed ‘a third option,’ a way to get beyond either a nuclear Iran or an American military action.” The term “beyond” is eloquently appropriate; it suggests an excursion into fantasyland in search of a Star Trekian “Prime Directive.” Bush has explicitly rejected an “either/or” in favor of an evasive, non-confrontational middle course.
One must wonder about the psychology of men who are so afraid of absolutes that they are willing to acknowledge a threat but never the rational course of action to take to remove one. According to the AP report, when Rice was asked about the possibility of the U.S. reestablishing diplomatic relations with Iran, Rice “ruled out a ‘grand bargain.’ However, she said a negotiated solution to the nuclear dispute could ‘begin to change the relationship.’”
“Nobody is confused about the nature of this regime,” said Rice at a news conference held to announce the alleged shift in policy. “We are not negotiating the terms of terrorism.”
Were she and Bush genuinely confused about the nature of Iran’s regime, it might be forgivable. But she names what she and Bush both know, and that makes the action an unforgivable betrayal. In effect, their willingness to “come to the table” to talk is, in effect, a willingness to negotiate the terms of terrorism.
Is it any wonder that Ahmadinejad is so contemptuously confident that Islam will triumph? Even psychopaths like him can sense cowardice and smell blood. Ahmadinejad has mastered Hitler’s playbook of the 1930’s.
The overture to the U.S.’s creeping, inevitable capitulation on Iran was reported in the Los Angeles Times of May 26th under the appropriate headline, “The Tyranny Doctrine.”
“Last week, Secretary of State…Rice announced resumption of full U.S. diplomatic relations with Libya, citing Tripoli’s renunciation of terrorism and intelligence cooperation.” The article asserts that this move “marks an effective end to the Bush doctrine.”
Rather, it highlights a continuation of the Bush doctrine of non-judgmental pragmatism, which has been to take the path of least resistance and greatest expediency, to avoid confronting major threats and to expend lives and treasure on incidentals, such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Not to mention, in this instance, a forgiving of Libyan dictator Qadhaffi for the murder of hundreds of Westerners by his own army of jihadists. There is “realpolitik” for you.
The Los Angeles Times article goes on to list Bush’s record of non-achievements in his pursuit of global “democracy”:
“The Bush administration has watched Egypt abrogate elections, ignored the collapse of the so-called Cedar Revolution in Lebanon and abandoned Chinese dissidents; now Washington is mulling a peace treaty with Stalinist North Korea.”
The mare’s nest of pragmatism and its consequences grows nastier, thicker and more perilous. When will Bush have his own “reality check” and grasp the true nature of our enemies? When we experience another September 11th?
Bush, at his second inauguration, stated: “The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world.” The first half of this statement is not strictly true; liberty in America can succeed without it succeeding elsewhere in the world. But what if the rest of the world rejects the peace that freedom can bring, and chooses the “peace” of submission, tyranny or conquest?
The world, indeed, is being made safe, but not for freedom.

Rather, it highlights a continuation of the Bush doctrine of non-judgmental pragmatism, which has been to take the path of least resistance and greatest expediency, to avoid confronting major threats and to expend lives and treasure on incidentals, such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Not to mention, in this instance, a forgiving of Libyan dictator Qadhaffi for the murder of hundreds of Westerners by his own army of jihadists. There is “realpolitik” for you.
The Los Angeles Times article goes on to list Bush’s record of non-achievements in his pursuit of global “democracy”:
“The Bush administration has watched Egypt abrogate elections, ignored the collapse of the so-called Cedar Revolution in Lebanon and abandoned Chinese dissidents; now Washington is mulling a peace treaty with Stalinist North Korea.”
The mare’s nest of pragmatism and its consequences grows nastier, thicker and more perilous. When will Bush have his own “reality check” and grasp the true nature of our enemies? When we experience another September 11th?
Bush, at his second inauguration, stated: “The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world.” The first half of this statement is not strictly true; liberty in America can succeed without it succeeding elsewhere in the world. But what if the rest of the world rejects the peace that freedom can bring, and chooses the “peace” of submission, tyranny or conquest?
The world, indeed, is being made safe, but not for freedom.

Educating Hamas
In her presentation at the April 29, 2006 America's Truth Forum Symposium, Brigitte Gabriel mentioned that Hamas has cells right here in the United States, in forty of our fifty states. She rattled off a list so rapidly that I couldn't take down every U.S. city mentioned.

Muslim Public Affairs Council Incites Violence After London Arrests

Desperate Search On For Chemical Vest After London Arrests
Apparently, these guys were getting ready to unleash a chemical weapons attack on Londoners. In fact, as the whereabouts of the vest is still unknown, it is possible an attack is still imminent:
A DESPERATE search is under way for a “chemical vest” that a British suicide bomber was ready to deploy in a terror attack on London.
Police fear that the strike, using a home-made chemical device, was imminent after an informant told MI5 that he had seen the lethal garment at the home of two young men.
Last night detectives were at the hospital bedside of a 23-year-old postal worker shot during a pre-dawn raid on his parents’ home, while his younger brother, aged 20, was being questioned at Paddington Green high security police station.
Armed officers who led the assault on the terraced house in Forest Gate, East London, wore oxygen masks and protective chemical gear after a tip-off from MI5 that the device had already been assembled.
Security chiefs are deeply concerned that there was no sign of the vest inside what they believe is a chemical bomb factory.
No weapons were found either as officers searched the two adjoining properties that have been converted to accommodate a large Bangladeshi family.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke, head of Scotland Yard’s Anti-Terrorist Branch, said that the raid, codenamed Operation Volga, was ordered in response to “specific intelligence”.
He said that there had been no time to conduct further surveillance, which suggests that the police believed a terrorist was close to launching an attack. The fear is that if chemicals were to be used then a likely target could be a train compartment on the London Underground.
Another theory is that a suicide attacker, wearing the vest under a shirt, could trigger the device in a crowded venue, such as a pub full of people watching an England World Cup match.
It is understood that the main target in yesterday’s raid was the postal worker, who was hit in the shoulder by a single shot fired by a police marksman.
