This song is so discriminating, so disrespectful, and so outright disgusting that I don't know what to say. Sadly I haven't seen any questioning about this song (only on the net), but maybe I've just overlooked it in the media. I don't count on it though.
Ok, let's see. He's a 2. generation immigrant, so he has not been forced to flee any country or experienced war. He constantly polarize Danes and "immigrants" (in his racial stereotype view on the world it would be any dark skinned muslim). Jews are advised by the police not to go through Nørrebro showing their believe. This have been said by high ranked police officer (more correctly it is said that it "would give problems"). Kazim says that Pia Kjærsgaard doesn't do politics, and is actually showing somewhat a believe of a conspiracy of Pia Kjærsgaard controlling Danish politics.
This song is such a big disgrace to ANY immigrant. He probably didn't knew how, recently, Greenlanders and children from former Danish West-Indian Islands was treated. Or longer back Jews. He doesn't know anything about being treated bad as an immigrant. Yeah, there are some low-life racists that might have called him "black pig" or even assaulted him, but heck so many others has also been discriminated because of their skin, religion or believe. I have been called "fascist", "jewboy", "racist", and so on, for example.
And to use bacon rinds as why "we Danes" doesn't like him is like the lowest and worst argument ever. Actually I myself doesn't eat pork. Vegetarians, jews, buddhists, hinduists doesn't eat pork. And there are many, many other Danes that doesn't eat pork. And for believing in God, well, there is a lot of non-muslim Danes that believes in God. More than 80% of the Danish population is a member of The Danish Peoples Church. But I guess he believe the God in Islam (Allah) is the only true God.
He doesn't AT ALL criticise muslims or immigrants. He only asks for mutual respects. And then he threaten that if this doesn't stop, PROBLEMS will happen (when the demonstration happen).
Now, people here in Denmark are getting slightly more racist, sadly. But what it is now will be nothing to compare to how it would be in some years, or what it was decades ago. Bad things will happen. It is going to be very ugly. Many people begin to think irrational things like against Turkey in EU. And I can't see this will turn.
The interresting part for you is that this song express what many muslims and leftists thinks (here in Scandinavia at least).
Ummah News Link reports that NEWS Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch said today that Muslims would always identify themselves by religion before nationality, and warned that care needed to be taken to avoid a divided society.

Of course, Australian Federation of Islamic Councils president Rahim Ghauri disagrees.

Wouldn’t that be nice if it were so? Unfortunately Mr. Murdoch is correct and if Mr. Ghauri were a real Muslim he would know that Muslims owe their allegiance to their own nation - the nation of Islam. It is a complete socio-political ideology with its own laws – the Sharia - and governing imperatives – the Hadith.
Why would Islamic religion and nationality that go hand in hand be any different than a combined Judeo-Christian religion and nationality? The difference is that one can’t coexist with the other any more than communism could coexist with capitalism. We must recognize this fact and act accordingly.
Judeo-Christian law and secular government are almost in direct opposition to Islamic law and governmental imperatives. Personal freedoms and secular values as practiced in the free world democracies are a threat to Islamic values and their socio-political ideology.
Can the two be reconciled or must one win over the other? I’m afraid the latter will prevail because the chasm is much too wide.
On April 3, 2005 Mr. Soliman al-Buthe (aka AlBut’hi), a Saudi Wahabi, wrote James Arlandson at the American Thinker a letter in order to open a dialogue about Islam. It evolved into, as of now, a four part series. In part four, one of the issues Mr. Arlandson focused on was the way Saudi women are treate din that country. The answer fits very nice into a post I wrote few days ago entitled ‘Enemy Mine: Give Me That Ol’ Time Religion’. Mr. Arlandson asked:
“One of the hallmarks of modernity and progress is women’s freedom. Why are not Saudi women allowed to drive cars and to vote?”
Mr. Soliman al-Buthe responded with a very revealing understanding of Islam which I talk about in my post mentioned above.
“What is modernity? And what is freedom? Take “modernity,” a very vague term.Your references suggest that it merely is the state of being modern. But what does it mean to be modern? Apparently “modernity” means whatever happens to be currently popular in the West. The West is modern in many disparate ways. To be “modern” in this sense would require every non-Western society to abandon its culture and live in a constant state of imitation of changing Western norms. We are emphatically against this wholesale adoption of Western modernity as it relates to a promiscuous freedom.”
He goes on.
“…. we think that there is a significant difference between “modernity” in general and religious/moral modernity….Thus we reject the notion that we must do something simply because it happens to be Westerners’ current prevailing cultural prejudice. We are simply not impressed by being told that something is one of the hallmarks of modernity as the West does in the following examples. We evaluate things by being true or false, useful or harmful, suitable or not suitable, and not just because the West counts them among the hallmarks of your modernity.”
Mr. Arlandson replied.
“I am confused about something. You say in your Open Letter, which you initiated to the American Congress, that Saudi Arabia is compatible with modernity (your word). Then, when I bring up the word “modernity,” you talk about “cultural prejudice” and the “wholesale adoption of Western modernity as it relates to a promiscuous freedom.” No one said anything about adopting the extremes or the vices in the West. I agree that the West has gone too far in that regard. But Saudi Arabia has let the pendulum swing too far to the other extreme—to the far side of repression, such as executing or flogging or imprisoning sexual sinners”
Mr. Soliman al-Buthe replied.
“One of the primary aims of Islam is the welfare of the family. To protect the family Islam prohibits all kinds of extra-marital sexual relations and has severe punishment for those who commit adultery and fornication.As a consequence, free mixing between men and women is not encouraged.Today some of our learned men thought that it would be advisable for women not to drive cars as this would tempt women to mix easily with men and vice versa. Thus the prohibition on women driving was seen as a precautionary matter."
There you have the gist of why women are treated so poorly and forced to cover up their personal identity and their bodies and remain asexual in public. The reason – Muslim me can not control themselves. It’s the seam with any fundamental religious belief. As is aid in my previous post, the path to God for Muslims is the path of ‘right action’- the one of discipline, duty, injunctions and restraint which results in denial. It is the direct opposite of the path of self-expression, self-trust, and unconstraint. In the latter case, freedom itself can lead to the goal of self-improvement of the spirit by providing the greatest opportunity for experience and choice.
But with freedom comes responsibility. With total restraint comes a dead culture. We’ve seen that with Islam. Nothing created new, no new ideas, with no contribution to the human race and modern civilization for hundreds of years.
Our modern day culture believes that self-improvement can only be achieved by the greatest opportunity for experience and personal choice, unrestricted by any discipline, duty, injunction or restraint. Taken to extremes, one approach leads to the restriction of everything, the other, the permissiveness of everything. Neither one leads to a healthy evolving society. As I said in my recent post, the outlook is not good for any kind of integration of the two ‘paths’.
Take the way of action that demands discipline, duty, injunctions and restraint – that is, the removal of any and all physical world distractions (the female body, music, movies) and entities (nationalism, personal freedom, freedom of the press) that would hinder the true believer’s goal of reaching paradise - and we have the Taliban. Allow freedom to disintegrate into license and we are left with the nihilism of Nietzsche.
Mr. Arlandson adds.
“…. Bahrain, an island and independent state that is connected to Saudi Arabia by a bridge, provides a “breathing lung” for Saudis because the Islamic island allows people to do as they want. The words “breathing lung” mean that Saudi Arabia suffocates people. On the weekends an average of 40,000 cars line up to cross the bridge. Surely there is a middle path between decadence and repression."
Mr. Arlandson is correct. And we have to find it if we are ever to integrate the two opposite paths of right action that would help both our civilizations advance.

Islamists in Europe are working on a special legislation for muslims, that will be above national legislation.
The initiative comes from the Fatwa-council for Europe, who claims that a “constitution for European muslims” is on its way. The Fatwa-council has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood organization. It’s spokesman is Tariq Ramadan, who among many westerners has a reputation of representing a more liberal european Islam.

Growing up in the 50's in NYC, we ate meat 7 days a week, and had chicken once (friday nights, and the skin was the best part, this course was alwas preceeded by chopped chicken livers with onions cooked in chicken fat), and once a week my mother tried to force us to eat calf's liver since the thinking at the time was that this had all the 'good stuff'. My father, grandfather, and uncle all grew up eating this way. They all smoked 2+ packs of ciagrettes a day.

SAINT-DENIS, France (AP) — Chastity can exact a painful price from young Muslim women, forced into lies or surgery to go to the marriage bed as virgins. Hymen repair, fake virginity certificates and other deceptions, said to be commonplace in some Muslim countries, are practiced in France and elsewhere in Europe, where Muslim girls are more emancipated but still live under rigid codes of family honor.
Such ploys have saved many a young woman from scorn and worse. But they also clash with the more liberal social mores of France and Europe, where some decry it as an attack on human rights.
The procedures are legal but shrouded in silence — "something that passes through non-official channels," via friends or the Internet, said Dr. Nathan Wrobel. "There are circuits that lead women to me."
Wrobel is one of an unknown number of gynecologists in France who are willing to repair hymens... He was one of the few doctors willing to talk about it.
Wrobel says women come to him having convinced themselves that the procedure will somehow reverse the irreversible. "They tell me, 'I'll be a virgin again. You will make me a virgin,' which in reality is totally false .... It's a secret we share."
Other doctors issue false virginity certificates or offer such tricks as spilling a vial of blood on the sheets to fool families into believing the bride has passed their purity bar. [...] In today's France, with an estimated 5 million Muslims — the largest such population in western Europe — it's part of the larger question of how to deal with cultural clashes ranging from head scarves in schools to sexual segregation in swimming pools.
A 2005 government report addressing culture clashes in hospitals, and issued a year after Muslim head scarves were banned from classrooms, briefly mentions the virginity issue, asking doctors to refuse to issue false certificates.
Isabelle Levy, author of Religion in the Hospital, decries both certificates and hymen repair, saying deception "increases the moral suffering." [...] It is not known how many doctors in France or elsewhere in Europe help Muslim women to fake virginity. But in Germany, Turkish Muslim immigrants are increasingly seeking virginity certificates, said Serap Cileli, who survived a forced marriage and now helps victims.
German doctors who do hymen repair are easy to find, according to Sibylle Schreiber, who works with a women's rights group in Tuebingen, but it's "a taboo topic really only discussed best friend to best friend." [...] The price, $500, is steep for a young woman in a poor family and possibly unemployed. A German doctor advertising on the Internet charges $1,250.

The report provides the following information about the vigil:
"All of the middle easterners you see in the pictures below are Coptic Christians from Egypy [sic], for the entire evening not ONE Muslim would join us in condemning the tortures of our two soldiers, and in fact some of them yelled out that the two soldiers deserved 'what they had coming to them' because they were 'in a Muslim land.'"

Stockholm police have removed what appeared to be a bomb from around the waist of a man in the suburb of Tensta. He said he had been kidnapped for three days. ...
At around 9.30am on Sunday the man, a Norwegian who has been living in Sweden for many years, rang a doorbell on Krällingegränd - the street where he said he had been held in an apartment for three days - and asked the family to call the police.The family saw that he had something around his midriff and that he had a burn on his arm.
The reports I've seen never give the man's name or any indication of who kidnapped him or why. Any guesses?
