Hey! Quit Pissin' on my Party!

Ok got yer red meat right here folks.
Wanna read what they think about the Tea Parties over there on the other side?

We got 'em goldarn scared shitless. Or at least really concerned when you read this article. We are "a real danger to the tenets of democracy Americans have embraced for centuries."
Seems they don't like it when we protest policies but okay for them to carry Anti-semitic pro-Hezbollah banners anytime they like. Well, we knew this would happen.
Have at it, Infidels and Patriots. Then hop over to the original and let him know what you really think.
from The Philadelphia Examiner (no wonder my kid hates that friggin' city. I used to think she was lyin' about the number of liberals surrounding her).
Tea Party movement aims to inspire revolution
Wyatt Shev
April 15th.
Write that date down; people- it could very well mark the beginning of the end (we can only bloody hope) . With the notoriously conservative Tea Party movement gaining steam, is it time to take the ‘United’ out of ‘United States’? (No, time to put it back!)
An off-the-cuff and seemingly harmless comment from CNBC drone Rick Santelli- who called for a Chicago ‘Tea Party’ in response to Obama’s handling of the worsening economic situation- has now developed into a full-blown national movement. (COOL!)
On April 15th, hundreds of thousands of PO’d red meat eatin’ (ya got a problem with that?) Americans will converge on the streets to protest the Obama administration’s policies and platforms (as is the right and duty of every American and Patriot) . Over 360 cities nationwide have been confirmed as protest staging points, and conservative luminaries like Newt Gingrich and Sean ‘Rough Rider’ Hannity will lend their considerable girth and celebrity to ensure a sense of bloated spectacle.
The Tea (Taxed Enough Already) Party-people consider themselves a coherent and diverse network of Americans from every conceivable walk of life. They are cultural warriors fighting against the tax-happy, spend-happy ways of the evil Obama cabal, real American patriots, and staunch defenders against the creeping evils of Socialism (hey, he knows us prety well!) .
In reality, their ‘movement’ is incredibly divisive, a mindset that stands in sharp contrast to Obama’s calls for bipartisanship (yet to be practised) in this time of great national need. Their arguments have the potential to divide the country along titanic lines not seen since the bloody days of the Civil War.
Think I’m exaggerating here? The Tea Party movement is an incredibly dangerous concept (George III thought so, too) , fuelled by the usual gushes of sycophantic support from the conservative news media (here’s looking at you, Fox). Consider a recent poll posted on Sean Hannity’s website, asking his loyal followers if they thought America was ripe for ‘revolution’ (what was the result? did the yesses win?) . Or perhaps you’ve heard some of the vitriolic treasonous crap spewing forth from the mouth of Fox’s resident white-haired lunatic, He Who Shall Go Unnamed (that would be Glenn Beck -- there, I named him, feel better?). You can tune in to his show practically any day of the week for an (increasingly) thinly veiled call to arms (woo hoo!!!) against the President and his evil liberal cronies.
The Tea Party Movement is basically a flag for Republicans disenfranchised by last year’s election results to rally behind (Bush stole the election!) . Give it up, guys. You lost fair and square (that's what WE said in 2000) . Obama and his policies have the mandate of the people (which people?) - unlike a certain Bush I could mention.
If the country continues down this dark path, a second Civil War might not just be a cool idea for a sci-fi novel anymore. Can you imagine the potential for chaos if some of these ‘protesters’ decide to exercise the Second Amendment and bring their weapons to these rallies (now you're gettin' me all excited! you big tease you. . .) ? There’s a thin line between peaceful protest and bloodthirsty patriotic fervor, especially if those protesting are used to being on the side of the mighty status quo.
I hope April 15th comes and goes without major incident. And I hope the protesters fail in their mission to bring their message to a national audience. It’s a message of fear, prejudice and, quite frankly, hate (this from the Liberals?) .
President Obama was elected democratically, according to the doctrines set forth by the Founding Fathers. The Tea Party movement represents a real danger to the tenets of democracy Americans have embraced for centuries. (No. the Tea Party Movement represents the tenets of Democracy Americans have embraced for centuries. See what happens when you remove just a few words?)

The left has FORGOTTEN UTTERLY - the nation is is revolutionary nation, founded by radicals with a radical set of ideas.

The government should fear the people. Otherwise it's the other way round.

The Founding Fathers did not think it was impossible that we might democratically elect leaders who would become tyrannical. They didn't think that at all.

In fact, they thought it was so possible (remember, there had never been a real Democratic Republic like the USA before), that they bequeathed us the 2nd Amendment (the right to keep and BEAR arms), so that we could take up arms against our oppressors, just like we had had to do against King George and his buddies.

It may be that we are in for such a situation again.

I am not convinced of that at this time, but Obama is, as I repeatedly say, outside of the American Tradition. And, I think our Congress will eventually be forced to draw up a resolution which declares his policies to be unAmerican, and I believe the vote ought to serve as a kind of "No Confidence" vote, after which, he should resign as President of the United States.

Oh please! What? Do they think they own the monopoly and rights to protest?

They all need to just crawl back into their comfortable little sandpits and shut up.

Christine -- "and shut up" heh. Read next post up :)

We need big, big signs at our parties saying

"Dissent is Patriotic"
- Hillary Clinton

Or, heck, maybe on one of the big banners behind the speakers' platform!

The party I went to in February was rather small - although there was almost no prior notice. I will be very interested to see what the turnout is like on Tax Day.

While spending a couple of days (pacing in 2 hr lines) in WallyWorld during the kiddies Spring Break (M-i-s-t-a-k-e) I happened to turn on the local news to check the weather (brrr way too cold for April at 42 degrees in the am w/30 mile wind gusts!).

The news made it obvious that there were recent layoffs as unemployed (bad) actors were everywhere . . .even on the news. A short haired brunnette anchor was accentuating feigned difficulty in holding back her laughter as she mentioned the up coming tea party effort by (giggle) conservatives(choke). May she continue hilariously choking on April 15th.
