The Joint Terrorism Task Force was checking into Azzad as far back as 2004. And yet, he was allowed to become a citizen. He was allowed to get on planes. He was allowed to continue working and being a student in the United States.
One of the epic fails before 9/11 is that the CIA and the FBI were not talking to each other. After 9/11 they were ordered to start sharing information.
But, it looks to me as if we have returned to a pre-9/11 mentality IN TOTAL.
The CIA, FBI, JTTF, NSA, and Immigration SHOULD ALL BE SPEAKING TO EACH OTHER.
From the Astute Bloggers:
George LaMonica, a 35-year-old computer consultant, said he bought his two-bedroom condominium in Norwalk from Mr. Shahzad for $261,000 in May 2004. A few weeks after he moved in, Mr. LaMonica said, investigators from the Joint Terrorism Task Force interviewed him, asking for details of the transaction and for information about Mr. Shahzad. It struck Mr. LaMonica as unusual, but he said detectives told him they were simply “checking everything out.”SOMEBODY DROPPED THE BALL - BIGTIME.
THIS CASE IS EPIC FAIL ON ALL SIDES: JTTF, FBI, CIA, NYPD - AND SHAHZAD.
MEANWHILE, THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS TELLING US
THE SUSPECT'S LIFE UNRAVELED QUICKLY.
What a pile of b.s.
Revere Rides Again comments:
Had it been a "right wing lone nut", it would have been all about "right wing ideology" and "tea baggers" and "hating the government" and "racism" and "anger over a black man in the White House" and "not liking the health care bill". But instead it's this little Muslim freak so it's all about his "life unravelling" and vague remarks about "Bush" and "looking lonely". What used to be reporters and journalists are now approval whores who wouldn't mention the words "Islam" or "Muslim" in an un-PC manner if some jihadist had just beheaded their firstborn kid.
