Sen. Toomey calls for most of Pa. to begin reopening now


HARRISBURG, Pa. - As the feds move to help small businesses devastated by the coronavirus pandemic, Pennsylvania's Republican U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey is pushing a plan to begin reopening his home state now. Toomey said the reopening plan detailed by Gov. Tom Wolf Wednesday does not move fast enough. The senator said most of Pennsylvania should resume some level of economic activity immediately, since the state's healthcare systems are not being overwhelmed by COVID-19 patients.

Thank goodness for Sen. Toomey. I would be better with all elected officials if they would just admit they erred on the side of caution and opened everything back up.
