Now that Mexico and Canada are "settled" (with a threat of potential future tariffs over their heads), all eyes will turn to China.
But, while the threat of Tariffs on Canada and Mexico was a negotiation strategy, I don't think Trump is negotiating with China.
I think he aims to truly decrease China's power in the world.
And, as he has made clear, it won't just be the Tariffs levied against China. There will also be anti-BRICs tariffs levied against any nation which moves away from using the dollar for their trade deals.
All of this is economic warfare. Trump believes that the previous Administrations (Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Biden) made bad deals for America, and Trump is out to rectify the situation. So he is using the leverage of real American Power, which is economic, backed up by the gun ... oh yeah, and lasers, and nukes.
Donald Trump is telling the world, "We're not putting up with any more of your shit. Remember that faggot Obama walking around with that book "The Post-Amerian World"? He and other American Leaders may have been negotiating for a world with less American Power, but I am here to increase American Power, not only because we want it, have it, and will enforce it to our benefit, but frankly, because all of your guys fucking suck ass at running the world, so fuck you."
My opinion is, all this Post-American World nonsense is Communist propaganda aimed at the diminution of American Way of Life. It is not the sound assessment of geopolitics by honest intellectuals.
However, there is one thing Lefties do see clearly; and that is when they are losing power. The Lefties see what Trump is doing, perhaps, better than we on the right do.
And that's why they are so angry.
There is likely going to be quite the price to pay. Unless Trump can either fix the economy right quick, or keep his winning streak going for at least a year or two.
