The court documents reveal that Routh was communicating with someone he “believed to be a Ukraine with access to military weapons.”
It sounds like Routh was holding talks with a federal operative.
And, Routh and his associate were talking about assassinating Trump in July 2024 in Pennsylvania!

Butler man accused of threatening to murder President Trump
BUTLER, Pa. — A Butler County man is accused of threatening to murder President Donald Trump, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and U.S. officials.
Authorities received an emergency disclosure regarding threats posted by a YouTube user “Mr. Satan” on April 8. According to court documents, multiple threatening statements were made between Jan. 15 and April 15.
Through a federal investigation, authorities connected the internet activity to 32-year-old Shawn Monper of Butler, Pennsylvania.
Officials say Monper obtained a firearms permit shortly after Trump's inauguration and in 2025, commented the following from the Mr. Satan account:
“I have bought several guns and been stocking up on ammo since Trump got in office.”
A month later, Monper threatened a mass shooting, adding “I have been buying 1 gun a month since the election, body armor, and ammo.”
A release from the Department of Justice highlighted several other threats allegedly made by Monper, including “Nah, we just need to start killing people, Trump, Elon, all the heads of agencies Trump appointed, and anyone who stands in the way.”
In the above comment, investigators say Monper called it “American Revolution 2.0”
