Hospitals in the U.S. hire "hospitalists" who are employees of the hospital system. My spouse' primary care physician is not allowed to see him in the hospital. Hence, his last hospitalization within the Baylor system was a disaster. Older Pakistani doctor who could barely speak English and mismanaged his care needs. I could give examples of the malpractice. Unbelievably bad situation.
