Ground Zero mosque faces eviction over unpaid bills

This may be some positive, encouraging news:

Con Ed has given the Ground Zero mosque an ultimatum: Pay the $1.7 million you owe in back rent, or we’ll terminate your lease and take back our property.

Con Ed and mosque developer Park51 have an unusual, uneasy alliance, sharing ownership of a site slated to be one of the most controversial projects in city history.

The utility owns a former substation on the western half of the property, at 51 Park Place, and the mosque developers own a five-story building on the eastern half. The buildings were connected years ago and used to house a Burlington Coat Factory store.

Honestly, Con Ed should cancel the deal altogether and respect how the families of 9-11 victims feel, that the mosque would be a desecration of their beloved relatives' memories. For now, we can only hope that in the end, Con Ed will do the right thing. The site should be a memorial, not an Islamic worship facility.

"Imported" Friday Night "Worshippers" at Ground Zero Mosque Site

Doug Hagmann at Northeast Intelligence Network reports that muslims from the New York-New Jersey area are showing up in increasing numbers for Friday night prayers at the "Park51" mosque-rabat, to create the appearance of a large muslim presence and "need" for prayer facilities in that neighborhood.

As anyone who has been down there knows, most of the time Park Place is a block-long snooze zone in the midst of bustling lower Manhattan. Until recently anyone there on a Friday night was probably either headed for the Dakota Roadhouse, or lost. This is changing as the Rauf/Gamal gang imports growing groups of out-of-towners for inflated displays of devotion on Friday nights.

At the direction of some of the principal planners of the Islamic cultural center at Ground Zero in lower Manhattan, Muslims from across the five boroughs of New York and New Jersey are quietly being urged to attend Friday prayer services that are being held at the former Burlington retail store on Park Place. This is being done to deceptively inflate Muslim demographics in lower Manhattan while creating a misleading but convincingly effective visual display of the need for the center.

This tactic is currently being used in Paris, as shown in this CBN video report. An undercover French videographer captured covert video footage of Muslims lining the streets of Paris, blocking and closing off the streets as a display of their power and influence. According to his observations, the Muslims engaged in these activities are not indigenous to the area. He has observed vehicles filled with Muslims coming from different parts of the city to purposely swell the numbers.

During the course of my investigation, I interviewed a long-time business owner located in close proximity to the planned Islamic center on Park Place. He told me that ever since the opposition to the Islamic center became public, the numbers of prayer participants at the intended site has increased dramatically. “A year ago, there was hardly any foot traffic to and from [Park Place]. Within the last few months, I’ve seen cars and other vehicles with out of state license plates parking at various lots and the men walking to Park Place. A lot of the cars have New Jersey license plates.” In consideration of his business and fearing for his safety, he has requested that his name and address not be published.

As part of my continuing investigation into this matter, I’ve personally verified his claims. I’ve conducted surveillance of Park Place and the adjacent areas on different occasions, observing numerous vehicles bearing license plates from New Jersey and even Pennsylvania parking in nearby lots. I’ve observed the occupants walk to the Park Place location, and following the services inside, walk back to their vehicles and leave the area.

Also according to this source, the mood among the Muslims participating in the Friday services has changed dramatically within the last several weeks. “Last year, I would talk to three, maybe four Muslims, at most, after Friday prayers. They were quite reserved. Now, I see dozens of Muslims in groups and their mood, attitude, behavior and conversation is anything but reserved. It is contentious. They appear to be activists on a mission,” he stated.

Islamist Leaders Call for a Week of Taqiyya

They call it "dialogue". We know its real name: al-taqiyya. The "muslim leaders" who held their post-Ground Zero mosque protest rally summit in our New York last weekend are now calling for a "national week of dialogue" to "stem... a rising tide of intolerance" towards...

Sharia. Jihad. Stealth Jihad. Taqiyya. Infiltration. Islamic supremacism. Victimization politics. Threats. Intimidation. Violence. Attacks on freedom of speech. Lies.

But they call it "intolerance towards all muslims".

This is not a time for picketing and making speeches and holding up signs. This is a challenge. Take them at their word, walk into their mosques, their strongholds, their rabats, and confront the "dialogue" by asking the crucial, essential questions and not letting them off the hook until they answer honestly. Or refuse to answer honestly. In front of witnesses, kuffars, dhimmis-in-training, kumbaya dreamers -- and perhaps a few honest, intelligent, patriotic people with enough commitment to reason and truth to understand what they are seeing and hearing.

They know some of us will call their bluff and they will be ready. This must be done calmly and cautiously and there is risk involved. But the alternative is to stand by while thousands of naive and uninformed Americans fall for this satanic altar call -- and you know I do not use those words lightly -- and are pumped full of the same lies and enticed into the same thought-stopping "prayer" participation that was imposed on schoolchildren in Wellesley, Massachusetts, last May.

MYFOXNY.COM - Muslim leaders from around the country held a summit Sunday in New York. Then Monday, they gathered to call for a national week of dialogue in October to stem what they feel is a rising tide of intolerance toward Muslims. They are also asking mosques across the country to open their doors to people of all faiths.

"We have more than 2,000 mosques and asking them all to open their mosques," said Dr. Zahid Bukhari of the Islamic Circle of North America.

The Muslim leaders representing about 60 mosques and Muslim organizations want the doors open the week beginning October 22 to promote healing and understanding and to quell concerns about the controversial mosque in Lower Manhattan.

"We stand for the constitutional right of Muslims, and Americans of all faiths, to build houses of worship anywhere in our nation as allowed by local laws and regulations," the Muslim leaders said in a statement delivered at the site of the proposed Islamic center and mosque, to be called Park51.

The group also says the public needs to know that Muslim prayer spaces are not anything new at Ground Zero. Imam Talib Abdur-Rashid of the Islamic Leadership Council of New York said that the south tower of the World Trade Center had a Muslim prayer space.

The Muslim leaders are hoping the open houses in October will encourage the public to observe or participate in prayer service and learn more about Muslims to break down the wall of suspicion and fear.

However, Imam Mahdi Bray, who spoke at the news conference, has been a lightening rod in the past. He is the same man seen in a 10-year-old video ago pumping his fist in the air and cheering in support of the terrorist group Hamas.

But Monday, Imam Bray said that the video clip was taken out of context and that his focus has always been to support civil rights.

The group is hoping that opening the mosques to the public will be a powerful step toward healing and understanding

Muslims Plan Whining Summit To Support GZ Rabat Plan

Looks like we rattled some cages last weekend. NBC is reporting that the ummah in NYC has its feathers well and truly ruffled and is planning a pigeon coo for this weekend to support the Ground Zero 9/11 Victory Rabat and Interfaith Table Tennis Club and to plan strategies to oppose "religious bigotry". In other words, how to get this Sharia Shack shoved down the throats of the Kuffar whether they like it or not.

Please let there be one "journalist" left in New York with the integrity to ask them about the Center for Security Policy Report, get Rauf to make another stupid remark about Sharia being compatible with the Constitution. And let there be a few people left awake in this country who will put the two together and begin to realize how far up shit creek without a paddle we really are while there is still time to do something about it.

Muslim Summit in NYC in Response to anti-Mosque Furor

Some Muslims who were initially indifferent about a proposed Islamic center near the World Trade Center site are now rallying around the plan, partly in response to a sense that their faith is under assault.

A summit of U.S. Muslim organizations is planned for Saturday and Sunday in New York City to address both the project and a rise in anti-Muslim sentiments and rhetoric that has accompanied the debate over the project.

It has yet to be seen whether the group will emerge with a firm stand on the proposed community center, dubbed Park51. The primary purpose of the two-day meeting is to talk about ways to combat religious bigotry.

But Shaik Ubaid of the Islamic Leadership Council of Metropolitan New York, one of the groups organizing the gathering, said he has a growing sense that the project is being embraced by American Muslims and Muslim groups after some initial trepidation.

"Once it became a rallying cry for extremists, we had no choice but to stand with Feisal Rauf," he said, referring to the New York City imam who has been leading the drive for the center.

Groups scheduled to participate in the summit include the Islamic Society of North America, the Islamic Circle of North America, the Muslim Alliance of North America and the Council on American Islamic Relations.

Gauging support for the center among U.S. Muslims is difficult. As a group, they are diverse, ranging from blacks who found the faith during the civil rights movement to recent immigrants hailing from opposite ends of the globe. They rarely speak with one voice.

Yet after a pastor in Florida injected himself into the debate by threatening to burn copies of the Quran, U.S. Muslims stirred.

"I think most Muslims outside New York City are more concerned about the backlash than the actual center, which most of them will never directly benefit from," said Shahed Amanullah, the editor-in-chief of the website altmuslim.com and a group of other Islam-themed sites.

"Grass-roots support is indeed building," he said, "but that is probably more due to the pushback against the general hostile climate."

The center's location two blocks from ground zero has upset some relatives of Sept. 11 victims and stirred nationwide debate and angry demands that it be moved. Critics say the site of mass murder by Islamic extremists is no place for an Islamic institution.

Imam Says NYC Mosque Site Is Not 'Hallowed Ground'

NEW YORK -- The imam leading the effort to build an Islamic community center and mosque near ground zero says there is a "misperception" that the proposed site is sacred ground.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf said Monday that the location where the center would be built, two blocks from the World Trade Center, has a strip joint and betting parlors nearby. He says it's "absolutely disingenuous" to suggest that it is "hallowed ground."

He also says the location is important, because it will serve as a platform where the voice of moderate Muslims can be amplified.

Rauf make his remarks before the Council on Foreign Relations.

Rauf says the center will be a place for all faiths to come together. He says "the world is watching what we do here" and that it is important to "live up to our ideal."

Rauf praises the tyrants in Iran and is apparently ready to accept their money for the Islamic center at Ground Zero, but he fails to explain the term vilayet-i-faqih to American audiences. The term, literally “the guardianship of the jurist,” was developed by Ayatollah Khomeini in a series of lectures in 1969, and became the guiding principle of the government of Iran after he came to power in 1979. The concept is but an extension and slight modification of the Shia idea of walī, in which Ali and the imams succeeding him were considered guardians of the community, acting on behalf of God himself. Under this concept, the people of Iran are the wards of the ayatollahs, and the people of Iran owe the guardians absolute obedience in accordance with Sura IV verse 59 (“O you who believe, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority from among you . . .”). Secondly, the exclusive right of interpretation of Islamic law belongs to religious scholars. Thus there is nothing democratic about it — its totalitarian character should be evident. Rauf’s endorsement of this principle makes him the unequivocal defender of totalitarian Khomeinism.

Rauf says one thing to Western audiences and another to Muslim audiences. He is quite capable of writing reassuring things, as in the New York Daily News earlier this year: “My colleagues and I are the anti-terrorists. We are the people who want to embolden the vast majority of Muslims who hate terrorism to stand up to the radical rhetoric. Our purpose is to interweave America’s Muslim population into the mainstream society.”

But when presented with actual opportunities to “interweave America’s Muslim population into the mainstream society,” Rauf and most of his fellow Muslims decline. Nearly ten years ago, I was the guest of the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies (PISAI) of Rome. PISAI is dedicated to interfaith dialogue between Christians and Muslims. But as the director at the time said to me, “There is no real dialogue, since Muslims never reciprocate the goodwill gestures made by the Christians. The result is we sit down together, and the Christians say what a wonderful religion Islam is, and the Muslims say what a wonderful religion Islam is.” Rauf was invited to give a sermon in a church and did so, but he never reciprocated by inviting a Christian to give a sermon in a mosque. This, for Rauf and his ilk, would be unthinkable.

If We Don't Build It, They Will Kill You

“Peace” is a word so over-used and abused that by now it’s wise to brace yourself every time some self-declared “peace-maker” pipes up. But even by those standards, the perversion of “peace-making” hit fresh heights Wednesday evening, when CNN’s Larry King Live, guest-hosted by Soledad O’Brien, devoted a full hour to an interview with the imam behind the Ground Zero mosque project, Feisal Abdul Rauf.

Asked if it’s really a good idea to go ahead with his plans to build a mosque and Islamic center at an address so close to Ground Zero that it has become a flash point, Rauf gave a reply that boils down to a threat. Rauf said that if his Cordoba House does not get built on his chosen site near Ground Zero, “The headlines in the Muslim world will be that Islam is under attack.”

Citing Muslim attacks on Danish embassies during the riots in 2006 over Mohamed cartoons Rauf went on to say that the result of this current “crisis” could be that “anger will explode in the Muslim world.” That, he said, could lead to “something which could really become very, very, very dangerous indeed.”

Please bear in mind that CNN beams this stuff out not only across America, but around the globe. While Rauf might proffer that he was merely giving helpful advice, there’s an Islamist audience out there who could hear his well-amplified words – “Islam is under attack” — as a summons to inflict yet more of those explosive onslaughts in which thousands of Americans have already been killed.

As for the message Rauf’s words might impart to the many Americans who oppose his project, his warning doesn’t sound like bridge-building. It sounds like blackmail. Before Rauf rolled out his Cordoba House project for approval by a Manhattan community board this past May, America’s annual observations of Sept. 11 were a solemn matter, focused on the enormity of the Islamist murder of almost 3,000 Americans.

This year, the run-up to Sept. 11 has become an angry showdown, involving Pastor Terry Jones and his widely and rightly condemned on-again off-again plans to burn the Koran, growing frustration on the part of many Americans who feel they are endlessly asked to defer to the sensitivities of Muslims who respond with ever-growing demands, and at the center of it all, the obdurate and self-promoting Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf.

Rauf’s own plans created this “crisis.” Rauf himself said last December (before his partners began trying to unsay it) that he’d latched on to the Burlington Coat Factory site precisely because of its proximity to Ground Zero — so close to the heart of the Sept. 11 Islamist attacks that it was hit by “wreckage” from one of the hijacked planes. If Rauf was genuinely clueless at the time that harmony would not be served by trying to create an in-your-face $100 million Islamic hub on the edge of Ground Zero, by now he should be clued in. Whatever support he’s received has been dwarfed by the many objections — the elite hothouse enthusiasms of Mayor Michael Bloomberg and President Barack Obama notwithstanding.

Repeated public opinion polls show that a large majority of Americans think that while Rauf and his partners may be within their legal rights, they are nonetheless doing the wrong thing. Among the critics are a number of Muslims brave enough to publicly disagree with this self-appointed panjandrum of Ground Zero, such as Miss USA, Rima Fakih, and Muslim American activist M. Zuhdi Jasser.

If Rauf ever had the smallest intention of promoting harmony, it is past time for him to quit. Instead, having spurned the U.S. debate while spending a secretive summer in Malaysia and the Middle East, Rauf returned to New York on the eve of Sept. 11, to pronounce that unless his mosque gets built near Ground Zero, Americans might expect from the “Muslim world” a new wave of destructive fury.

We used to call this kind of stunt a protection racket. The message here is one of implied violence. Not that Rauf himself would do anything violent, mind you. He’d just like his audience to know that if Americans don’t knuckle under and get with his program for Ground Zero, he can’t be responsible for whatever devastation the “Muslim world” might inflict on his behalf. ”My life has been devoted to peace-making,” he told CNN’s O’Brien.

In his CNN interview, Rauf also said that had he anticipated the pain his Cordoba House project would cause, he would not have started down this road. That turned out to be a throwaway remark. He then implied there is no going back, lest it result in — here’s that threatening element again — “greater conflict.”

Really? All Rauf has to do is announce that he is in the market for a venue less inflammatory and quite possibly more convenient for his planned community palace with mosque and swimming pool – though less likely to land him a permanent pulpit on global TV news. Far from trying to shut down Rauf’s plans for an Islamic center, New York Governor David Paterson has offered to help him relocate, at taxpayer expense. On Thursday, real estate magnate Donald Trump offered to buy out the Burlington site, in cash, for 25% above what Rauf’s developers paid, provided they build their mosque at least five blocks from Ground Zero. Apparently that would be too great a compromise for Rauf and his partners. They just keep saying no.

As for any anger that might boil up in the Muslim world should Rauf decide to build his Cordoba House a few blocks further from Ground Zero, why, here was a real opportunity for the Kuwait-born, Egyptian-fathered, Arabic-speaking naturalized American Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf to do some genuine peace-making. Instead of warning Americans to toe his line or brace for something “very, very, very dangerous,” Rauf could quite as easily have devoted his air time to backing down and issuing a public call for tolerance from that same Muslim world.

In battening on to the crater of the destroyed Twin Towers, Rauf and his partners are getting the publicity ride of their lives. They are exploiting the site as an amplifier for their own agenda, never mind who gets hurt. With their newly acquired megaphone, what are they broadcasting to the world? Rauf’s wife and business partner, Daisy Khan, who covered for him in New York during his summer excursions abroad, seized the opportunity last month to make a televised denunciation of America as a place “beyond Islamophobia.” Now comes Rauf, with his pronouncements on CNN that if his Cordoba House doesn’t go up near Ground Zero, Americans had better worry – even more than they do already — about “national security.” The “peace” he would bring to Ground Zero now smacks of an extortionist’s chilling instructions: Do it my way, or else.

The Bigger Story

Just my two cents' worth about the on-again, off-again, maybe-on-again burning of the Koran at the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida...

As I see it, bigger story here is not whether or not Dove Church is going to burn the Koran on September 11; rather, the bigger story is the linking of the Florida Koran-burning with the location of the Ground Zero Mosque.

Haven't Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller repeatedly said that the two protests are not linked? But the media have been trying to link the two stories ever since they started covering the possibility of that Koran-burning.

And now Terry Jones, the pastor of that church in Florida, has linked the two protests forever.

Jones announced this afternoon he had decided to call off the Quran burning and would instead fly to New York on Saturday to meet with the Muslim cleric who wants to build an Islamic center a few blocks from the site of the former World Trade Center.

"Our thought was the American people do not as a whole want the mosque at ground zero. If they were willing to cancel the mosque at the ground zero location or if they were willing to move that location, we would consider that a sign from God," Jones told reporters today.

How much will the following be covered so that the average American knows?

Jones, the author of a book called "Islam Is of the Devil," had never previously cited the New York Islamic center as a reason for Quran burning.

And what damage will be done to the September 11 protest organized by Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller?

Why is Culturist John Such a Jerk??

       Pamela Geller asked that people bring flags rather than political signs to her 9 - 11 protest against the Ground Zero mosque.  In fact, she originally said she'd confiscate anything other than flags.  Furthermore, she said terrible things about the August 22nd Anti-Mosque rally at Ground Zero.  And, I want to bring a sign that says, "Stopping Sharia in America is Culturist not Racist."  

       I respect Pamela.  She is a relentless anti-Jihadist and I have seen her at a million rallies.  But at none of those events were we in the audience told what to say.  I have a gut reaction against all who would stifle the voice of the public.  But respecting Pamela, I assume there must be some good served by not letting the people vent their spleen as they see fit.

       If I get it, Pamela argues that it is more sensitive to 9 - 11 families to bring flags.  I think crowds battling the enemy head-on with signs that say "No Sharia Here" will do more to lift 9 - 11 families' feelings than indulging in vague patriotic platitudes.  To me, identifying the enemy and saying "never again" respects the victims.  I know at least some 9 - 11 families feel the same way.

       So when Pamela's people ask me to put away my sign, should I?  Is there something I am missing?  Am I being a jerk?  I think this rally should represent the same defiance of Sharia than all the others.  Perhaps that defiance will come from the speakers.  Perhaps there is strategic point I am missing.  I plan on bringing my sign.  Should I?  Would my bringing a sign prove that I am a big jerk?

Ground Zero Mosque may get public financing

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Muslim center planned near the site of the World Trade Center attack could qualify for tax-free financing, a spokesman for City Comptroller John Liu said on Friday, and Liu is willing to consider approving the public subsidy.

The Democratic comptroller's spokesman, Scott Sieber, said Liu supported the project. The center has sparked an intense debate over U.S. religious freedoms and the sanctity of the Trade Center site, where nearly 3,000 perished in the September 11, 2001 attack.

"If it turns out to be financially feasible and if they can demonstrate an ability to pay off the bonds and comply with the laws concerning tax-exempt financing, we'd certainly consider it," Sieber told Reuters.

Pamela comments:

One might think that Imam Feisal was merely showing off to the Arab media: the braggadocio of a conceited megalomaniacal man with delusions of grandeur -- so grand, in fact, that he intends to build of mega mosque on the thousands of graves of innocent Americans slaughtered in the largest Islamic attack (or any attack for that matter) on American soil.

But it is not braggadocio. In audio tapes I am currently reviewing, Imam Rauf's power reach is at the highest levels imaginable. He is a grand jihadist, a master classman, operating at the apex of power. The "blueprint" Imam Rauf refers to, is essentially the US MUSLIM ENGAGEMENT -- Changing the Course", This is a large-scale effort by the US government to open areas of cooperation (dhimmitude) with the Islamic world in the political, cultural and economic spheres. 

Pamela is right. And, if you think about it, what we are seeing here, on the part of the Obama Administration and the State Dept., is the Amerabia Project; the equivalent of the Eurabia Project (the Euro-Arab Dialogue) which Bat Ye'or writes of in her important work, Eurabia.


How is it that our government has decided that America needs to be Islamicized/Arabized? What is the theory behind this movement? Is this Amerabia Project merely "reaching out" to our enemies?  Or is it the appeasement of our enemies by giving away what belongs to us; our land, our nation, our culture, our dignity?

The fact of the matter is, we are at war with Jihadist Muslims, Muslims who rightly believe the Koran tells them to convert or kill Infidels until Allah's Kingdom is established across the face of the Earth. This does not mean we are at war with all Muslims, but it does mean that all Muslims, who will not renounce Jihad against the Infidel, are at war with us.


I will repeat that, ALL MUSLIMS WHO WILL NOT RENOUNCE JIHAD AGAINST THE INFIDEL ARE AT WAR WITH US.


We can't avoid this. If another entity, or nation, or people, declare they want to kill you, you can not simply wish away reality. You can not stop someone from wanting to kill you by imagining a world where their murderous thoughts do not exist.


Children get the worlds of Wish/Imagination and Reality mixed up. Adults are supposed to grow out of such thinking.


Our State Department, our Executive Administration, and our de facto State Media (see the Time Magazine Image above), have not grown up. They are children. They still believe that, if we would only reach out, with an "unclenched fist", to our would-be murderers, they would stop wanting to kill us, stop wanting to destroy our civilization.


And, our government seems willing to give away our civilization so that Muslims will not kill us.


We are the Sudetenland. 

Our government is in the beginning stages of planning to force the American people to cede it's very culture in order to appease Muslims.


At least Neville Chamberlain only gave away OTHER people's land. He was not so stupid as to insist the British people actually give away their own nation and culture.

Can you imagine if Roosevelt had proposed the idea of winning World War II Nazifying America? Can you imagine if Churchill had sought Goebbels help in writing his speeches?


When a government begins to turn against it's people in this manner, when it ceases to work for our interests, then we are back to where this nation started; Taxation without Representation.


It may be true that our government believes it is doing the right thing. They may believe reaching out to the Islamic world will help, eventually, to bring about peace.


But, this is an absolutely unproven strategy in the annals of war. And, we have not approved this strategy. 

In fact, the American people are making it clear that we absolutely disapprove of this strategy. 


The faultline manifesting this disapproval is the Ground Zero Mosque. We will not provide such an accommodation to Muslims on the graveyard of our own battlefield. If our government will not recognize the will of the people, then it is our government that is in trouble, not the people. 


We will not be moved. We will not provide sustenance to our enemies. We will not let our government become our slavemasters. We will not become the serfs of our own property. 


We own ourselves, and we own our government. And, it is time for our Representatives to understand that, or get out.


So, for now, the message to our pathetic and wayward Representatives is, we will meet you on hallowed ground. You have the choice to stand with us, or stand against us. The choice is yours.

QUESTION: So who really was speaking on that historic day of June 4th 2009 in Cairo, Egypt? President Obama or the Imam of the proposed Ground Zero Mosque, Feisal Abdul Rauf?

The Shoebat Foundation has obtained a shocking audio recording of Rauf's own voice boasting in Arabic that Obama’s historic speech in Cairo was provided by the Imam's work with the Cordova Initiative in what the Imam called “The Blue Print” which, according to him, was the solution to the Islamic-American divide. Rauf claimed that Chapter 6 of the Imam’s work engineered by the Cordova Initiative was the construct for the entire speech:

“This is an example of the impact of our work in a positive way to be used by the President.”

"The blue print," Rauf elaborated, included everything from U.S. policy to Jewish and Christian relations with Muslims.

For an Imam in New York to be involved in the orchestrating U.S. foreign policy is quite the claim. In the recording dated February 5th, 2010 Rauf boasted that:

“We have to look at it [as] how to engineer solutions. At the Cordova Initiative we think of ourselves as an engineering shop. Yes. We have an analytical approach. Our work has been that. IN THE BOOK CHAPTER 6, I WROTE ABOUT THIS BLUE PRINT as to WHAT HAS TO BE DONE BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, what has to be done by the Jewish community, what has to be done by the Christian community, what has to be done by the Muslim community, what has to be done by educators, what has to be done by the media. For example, IN MY BOOK IN THE ARABIC VERSION page 293, what did I write? WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT THE UNITED STATES NEEDS TO DO. IF YOU EXAMINE THIS CHAPTER YOU WILL FIND THAT THE OBAMA SPEECH IN CAIRO WAS ALL TAKEN FROM THIS SECTION [Section 6]. When you do a job that is very complicated. You ask yourself, what have you accomplished. All these problems can be solved but requires the will to solve it. It requires political will, resources and the right focus. The signs of how to go to the moon was known 200 years ago, but the political will and financial will for it happened during 1960-1961. When John Kennedy said that we will send an American to the moon before the end of the 60’s, he established the financial resources and the political will.”

The story was even collaborated in a written article in an interview with Hani Al-Waziri of Egypt. The clue was revealed while Rauf was answering a question regarding President Barack Obama’s speech in which Rauf replied:

“The speech was wonderful and wise in his choice of words, the Prime Minister of Malaysia after the speech disclosed to me that it is now easy for any president of a Muslim country to establish good relations with America, and I AM NOT GOING TO HIDE FROM YOU THAT ONE OF THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED IN WRITING THE SPEECH, TRANSFERRED ENTIRE PARTS OF MY BOOK ‘A NEW VISION FOR MUSLIMS AND THE WEST’, which he referred to U.S. interests being compatible with top interests of the Muslim world”.

Rauf did not disclose the name of this speechwriter that included Rauf’s work in president Obama’s historic address to the Muslim world. It is crucial to note that the Arabic version of Feisal Abdul Rauf’s book was published in Malaysia titled “A CALL TO PRAYER, FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENTER RUBBLE: ISLAMIC DAWA (SUMMONS TO ISLAM) IN THE HEART OF AMERICA POST-9/11."

Pamela Geller has an opinion

Pamela Geller is upset that someone has held a rally against the Ground Zero mosque. Robert Spencer writes at Jihad Watch of the rally:

For the record, neither Pamela Geller nor I were at this clearly poorly organized and ill-conceived protest yesterday. Neither of us had anything to do with organizing it or planning it in any way. Geller declares:"... I have no idea what this rally is. I have no idea who these people are. I have no idea who organized this rally. Clearly, whoever organized this was careless, unprepared, shooting from the hip and harmful to the cause of freedom and compassion. I wasn't even in the state, nor did I know anything about this half-assed effort.

That's just fine. If Geller wants to distance herself from a rally she had nothing to do with, it's right and proper that she do so in public. She is a private individual with a right to protect herself from false accusations of being associated with people she is not associated with. Beyond that, who cares what Pamela Geller thinks? Her friends do. Rightly so. Others? I don't think anyone cares what she says. Rightly so.

Geller writes above:

I have no idea what this rally is. I have no idea who these people are. I have no idea who organized this rally. Clearly, whoever organized this was careless, unprepared, shooting from the hip and harmful to the cause of freedom and compassion.

I'm sure that most Americans have no idea who Pamela Geller is, and if they did, I'm sure most would see her as yet one more America with an opinion with just as much right to express it as any other. Beyond that, unless people have some private concern for Geller's opinions, all she has is opinion, good or bad, but not anything anyone has to pay attention to just because her name is Pamela Geller.

I too have no idea what this rally is. So what? If people want to have a rally, they'll have a rally. If Geller thinks it makes her look bad, that's entirely up to her to feel about it as she will, and for her friends to sympathise with her if they care to. If those who organised this rally are indeed "careless, unprepared, shooting from the hip, and cetera, that's their right, as it's Geller's right to express her opinion of them and for others to decide as they will. The point is, Geller in not anyone any more important here than anyone else. Others might well not be well-prepared, and such is the way of it. Geller can say what she likes. So can others. It all comes to much the same thing.

The hack cited at the link above is out of line. He's a different story.

But to criticise "the masses" for having a rally Geller doesn't approve of is not interesting to anyone else but her and her friends. If there are a million rallies, and if Geller disapproves of all of them, Geller's disapproval is not important. What is important is that there be rallies of citizens, whether Geller likes them or not, and for whatever reason. Geller is not responsible for other people's rallies, and they are not responsible for the things she does. She is very likely thankful for that.

CNN LIES BOLDLY on CULTURIST 9-11 MOSQUE SENTIMENT

CNN is such a shameless group of liars it is completely unbelievable!  WOW !!  

Read the text in this screenshot.  It says the supporters of the mosque numbered 250.  The screenshot shows CNN video of the rally supporting the 9 - 11 Victory Mosque available on the same page.  Do you count 250?  I count 6.  And please note the second sign which reads "google: U.S. Jewish Billionaires."  Yes this is one of the supporters of tolerance that they champion.  

In truth, there were way over a thousand out in opposition to the mosque.  The video CNN included did not show ANY FOOTAGE from the opposition rally.  They just interviewed a few hardhats in isolation.  Why didn't they show our opposition rally??  Because any image of the rally would have shown a much, much greater number than 450.

Note that the world is not talking about banning the burqa in France, or shutting down a mosque in Germany. Much less are we familiar with the Russians leveling Muslim Grozny or the Chinese rounding up and jailing or shooting Muslims. And, of course, few care that the Saudis, whether the public or the government, would jail a Christian who built a church in Riyadh, or kill a nonbeliever who tried to enter Mecca. 

No, the world is not talking about all those issues. Instead, the world is looking to America, simultaneously to condemn and to emulate. The rest of the world does not know what to do in the face of the Hydra-headed Islamic beast. America, along with nations like Denmark and Israel, is attempting to deal with the situation on largest scale of basic principles, rather than on a piecemeal issue by issue basis.

The Cynical Brilliance of Imam Rauf

Almost everything about the proposed Ground Zero mosque was cynically brilliant.

Start with the notion of a “Cordoba Initiative.” In the elite modern Western mind, Cordoba has been transmogrified into a mythical Lala Land of interfaith tolerance. To invoke the city is to prove one’s ecumenical credentials. Just ask our president, who, in his June 2009 Cairo speech, fantastically claimed that the Muslim city taught us tolerance while Christians were launching the Inquisition (1478) — quite a feat two and a half centuries after most of the Muslims of Cordoba had fled, converted, or been cleansed during the city’s fall (1236) to the Christian forces of the Reconquista. But no matter, we got the president’s drift about who was supposedly tolerant and who was not.

In truth, apart from a brief cultural renaissance, Cordoba, during its five centuries of Islamic rule, was not especially tolerant of nonbelievers. And, like most medieval cities, it was plagued by coups, assassinations, and right-wing clerical intolerance; it was a place where books were both burned and written. But that is not the point of citing Cordoba. Surely Feisal Abdul Rauf knows all that and more: Cordoba is as much a mythical construct of a long-ago multicultural paradise so dear to elite liberals as it is a fantasy rallying cry to Islamists to reclaim the lost Al-Andalus.

So Cordoba is a two-birds-with-one-stone evocation: in the liberal West proof of one’s ecumenical bona fides; in the Middle East proof of one’s Islamist bona fides. It would be easy to find a city emblematic of interfaith outreach other than the Andalusian Cordoba — from Jerusalem to Ann Arbor — but then the irony would be lost.

Then we come to Imam Rauf himself. To his liberal defenders, he is a sort of respectable Deepak Chopra who at respectable places like Aspen mouths pop platitudes of interfaith tolerance — so much so that our own State Department has employed him, apparently for quite some time, for goodwill gallivanting abroad.

But to those in the Middle East, he is known equally well for doing what he can, as a Western liberal, to contextualize terrorism, bin Laden, and Islamic extremism within the tired Western postmodern tropes of cultural relativism...

Ground Zero Mosque Developers Refuse to Rule Out Using Funds from Iran and Ahmadinejad

The developers of the planned mosque near New York’s ground zero on Wednesday refused to rule out using funds from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s Iran to build the $100 million project.

Mosque spokesman Oz Sultan was asked specifically if the project’s fundraising would include Iran and Saudi Arabia. “I can’t comment on that,” was Sultan’s “not-ruling-it-out” reply, the New York Post reported.

“We’ll look at all available options within the United States to start.”
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the leader of the Park51 mosque project planned for a site two blocks from ground zero, has told officials he would raise money for the mosque and community center from local Muslims, foundations and the sale of bonds.

But earlier this year he admitted to a London-based Arab newspaper that his fundraising would also extend to Muslim nations around the world. Rauf is now touring the Middle East on behalf of the State Department.

The Post observed: “The possibility of tapping the radical rogue Islamic state of Iran for funds comes as the United States just last month stepped up sanctions on the regime in retaliation for its support of terrorism and what is feared to be an illegal nuclear weapons development program.”

Meanwhile a Siena Research Institute poll released on Wednesday showed that 63 percent of New York State voters now oppose construction of the mosque near ground zero, up from 61 percent two weeks ago.

And a Time magazine survey found that 61 percent of Americans oppose the mosque, with 44 percent agreeing that the project would “be an insult to those who died” in the 9/11 attacks.
