In 1990 “The Muslim Manifesto: A Strategy for Survival” was written to create the Council of British Muslims which was to act “a Muslim parliament”. Hat tip to News By Us for this from Alan Cruba.

Britain’s Muslim Manifesto made it clear that “Political and cultural subservience goes against their grain” because “at its inception Islam created a political platform from which Muslims were to launch themselves on a global role as founders of great states, empires and a world civilization and culture.” According to the UK’s Muslim Manifesto, “The fact is that a Muslim woman cannot be a western woman.” The problem for Muslims in Great Britain was that “There are laws on the British Statute Book that are in direct conflict with the laws of Allah.” “We are Muslims first and last.” “Jihad is a basic requirement of Islam and living in Britain or having British nationality by birth or naturalization does not absolve the Muslim from his or her duty to participate in jihad: this participation can be active service in armed struggle abroad and/or the provision of material and moral support to those engaged in such struggle anywhere in the world.” “Islam is our guide in all situations.”

Is it clear now? It got clearer in the UK on 7/7 2005 “when born-and-bred Muslim British citizens killed some of them in London’s subways and buses.”

Assimilation, according to the Manifesto, wasn’t even an option. Why need it be? By the early 1990s, there were already about 1,000 mosques in Great Britain, many of them former Anglican churches that had been abandoned and sold to Muslims. As is the case of France today, the Manifesto recommended that “The Muslim community may have to define ‘no go’ areas where the exercise of ‘freedom of speech’ against Islam will not be tolerated.”

Say farewell to Abu Jahjah.

Abu Jahjah, leader of the Benelux Arab-European League has announced his permanent return to Lebanon. This is, ofcourse, no great loss. But the Dutch current events program Netwerk saw fit to do an interview with this islamic degenerate nonetheless.

You can watch the program here (the relevant segment starts about two-thirds into the program). It's in Dutch, though. He warned that the riots in Paris are but 'the first drops of the deluge that is coming'. He is of the opinion that the Netherlands will be worse off then Belgium, because the Netherlands are involved in the 'occupation' of Iraq and Afghanistan and are unthinking slaves to the will of the US. One would almost hope Abu JahJah is correct. At least then we will have a legitimate reason to revoke all those double nationalities and start shipping the lot back to the barren s...tholes they came from.

And if you think that is a tad harsh, then please read this review of Buruma's book on the van Gogh murder (via Peaktalk). This review is one with a twist, since it focusses entirely on the opinions of one of van Goghs proteges, a maroccan small-time criminal turned actor. The latter got his big break in van Goghs 'Cool!'. For those that can't be bothered, the review concludes:

Silence of the hacks

In Erfurt in Gemany a retired minister doused himself in gasoline and set himself alight (D) in a desperate protest against the lack of attention in Germany and Europe as a whole to the creeping islamisation of Europe. Brussels Journal is reporting this, as is Western Resistance , Infidel Bloggers Alliance and many other blogs.

But the MSM here in Europe is silent... Thomas the Wraith asks whether this episode will wake Europe up. It won't, because the press isn't reporting. No screaming headlines, no mournful segments on current events programs, no interviews with shocked friends and family, no pundits elaborating on what could have possessed father Weisselberg, nothing. Mustn't upset the balance, you see. Just take note of Bishop Noacks commentary in the Brussels Journal piece. The MSM will not be caught doing something that might interfere with the Eurabian multicultural dream. And so this story is under firmly the lid: the fourth estate as fifth column, indeed. Thus father Weisselberg will have died a horrible, excruciating death for little more then nothing.

A Great Divide

Dr. Leonard Peikoff’s announced position on the fall Congressional elections this coming November 7th has inaugurated a debate on various discussion lists and blogs between Objectivists. Some individuals have sided with Dr. Peikoff and agree with him that, in terms of ensuring the country’s survival, and taking into account the expenditure of the Left’s Marxist credibility, voting the straight Democratic ticket will serve to repudiate the Republican establishment and help to block its more perilous theocratic agenda. There is some substance to justify this fear. Virtually ever news item over the past two weeks has focused on the role of the evangelical bloc of voters, and President Bush solicits that bloc’s support.

Others discount the religious threat and counter that helping the Democrats regain their hegemony in Congress will only encourage them to accelerate the pursuit of their Marxist, nihilist ends, such as a total welfare state, environmentalism and multiculturalism.

In reality, the triumph of either party, now or in the 2008 presidential race, will move the country closer to undiluted statism or dictatorship.

Ayn Rand, delineating modern politics in terms of fundamentals governed by philosophy, would probably interpret the conflict in what she characterized as one between Attila and the witch doctor, between the mystics of muscle and the mystics of the spirit. Dr. Peikoff asserted, quite rightly, that we are faced with a decision on which gang will do us the least harm in the short run. And, there is another gang of murderous witch doctors he neglected to account for in his projection, which are Islam and its jihadists.

During all this discussion, someone had the foresight to point out that there is a crucial link between the spread of Islam and environmentalism, e.g., that the Democrats especially, when they oppose off-shore drilling, advocate the expropriation of oil company profits, or block the construction of nuclear power plants, simply render the U.S. more dependent on oil supplies coming from countries mostly hostile to the U.S., such as Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. The Saudis especially have as much a vested interest in the perpetuation and expansion of American environmental law as Prohibition Era gangsters had in the perpetuation of the Eighteenth Amendment.

Other blogs, such as Jihad Watch and Infidel Bloggers, have documented which persons in Congress, Republicans and Democrats, are in thrall to Saudi petro-dollars or susceptible to the lobbying of such Islamist organizations as CAIR and the Muslim Council of America.

But, this particular peril has been discussed before, and I do not believe any thinking Objectivist (or is that a redundancy in terms?) can question or dismiss the seriousness of the Islamist threat, especially when he is certain that President Bush will do nothing to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons or to stop North Korea from selling its nuclear weapons and delivery systems to Islamist terrorists. If the Republicans will not defend the country, how can we expect the Democrats to, when it is obvious that they hate it?

However, what I have not heard anyone mention yet is the prospect of censorship. Either party is capable of imposing it. In fact, both parties have held hands over the decades in passing legislation that violates the First Amendment, and the Supreme Court has done little or nothing to declare such stealthily incremental legislation unconstitutional.

“Censorship,” wrote Rand in “Have Gun, Will Nudge” in The Objectivist Newsletter in 1962, “in its old-fashioned meaning, is a government edict that forbids the discussion of some specific subjects or ideas – such, for instance, as sex, religion or criticism of government officials – an edict enforced by the government’s scrutiny of all forms of communication prior to their public release.”

We are approaching that level of censorship; that is, some officials and bureaucrats have proposed that the government have the power to make such an edict. Neither party, however, has the brazenness yet to move in that direction; they know they would not yet get away with it. Rand could not have predicted it, of course, but the Internet, which did not exist in 1962, is certainly scrutinized by the CIA, NSA and other federal agencies, not exclusively on the track of Islamist terrorists residing in this country.

Certainly if one sent an email letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice calling her (justifiably) delusional, anti-Semitic, and an appeasing enabler of Islamic terrorism, one could expect a knock on one’s door, or at least strange things begin to happen to one’s bank account or employment status. One cannot count on the demonstrable incompetence of the “security” agencies charged with defending this country, and be certain that nothing would happen.

That being said, Rand did forecast the possibility of de facto censorship. In that same article, she wrote:

“But for stifling the freedom of men’s minds the modern method is much more potent; it rests on the power of non-objective law; it neither forbids nor permits anything; it never defines or specifies; it merely delivers men’s lives, fortunes, careers, ambitions into the arbitrary power of a bureaucrat who can reward or punish at whim….”

One can count the ways in which such de facto censorship has been implemented in the U.S.: the PAC law; the Federal Election Committee; the ban on tobacco advertising over the airwaves, not to mention the regulation of print advertising of tobacco and other products, such as food; the Telecommunications Act of 1996; and so on, all of which, with more certainly to come whichever party dominates Congress, prove the pernicious effect of non-objective law on the freedom of men’s minds.

What we are witnessing in the U.S. today is the indivertible implosion of over a century irrationality in domestic and foreign policies. The irrational cannot make reality work; reality will not tolerate unreason. Most people with a nominal fealty to reason know that doing the Hokey Pokey or praying to Wantonka the Automotive God in front of one’s car will not start it or fill it with gas. Too many of them, however, believe that going “back to God” or “back to nature” (and Rand dramatized both false alternatives in Atlas Shrugged), which are must the same things, will make all things right. Dr. Peikoff himself stressed this point years ago in a course, that ours is an age of pre-reason.

The country is coasting on the vestiges of the commitment to reason which founded this country, but which vestiges both Republicans and Democrats are working diligently in their special ways to eradicate. Reason is lost in a masking deluge of inconsequential and irrelevant issues. No one in public life – not in government, not in the press or news media, not in academia – is advocating a return to reason, or even its rediscovery (or, as someone pointed out, its discovery). Advocates of reason can be likened to some of the survivors of the Titanic, struggling desperately to avoid being sucked into the swirling vortex of a sinking giant.

It is difficult for an advocate of reason not to succumb to pessimism and doom-saying in these times. But, I, for one, am confident that in the end, reason and truth will out, if only enough of us will invest the effort to promote them. I have been doing my “bit” for decades, culminating in the epic of Sparrowhawk, and that has been at cost to me and with very little reward, pecuniary or otherwise, except in the volume of my fan mail. That particular reward is to have been proven right, that readers are receptive to ideas presented in the series, and that it is helping to point them in the right direction.

Pride In The Western World? - A Relgious Perspective On The Importance Of Western Civilization

There are too many squishy Christians and Jews who are either inured in PC-land and believe the Western world is evil, or believe that their relgions have supreme importance over the governments under which they live. Both of the ideas are equally abhorrent.

I stand for the West precisely because without the Western world protecting Freedom of Conscience there would be no place for Christianity. In China, the Muslim world, North Korea, and many other places, you can be arrested and even killed for transporting Bibles and preaching the Word of God.

If one believes that the Western world is not of vital importance to the survival of Christianity and Judaism, one is likely veering mighty close to Docetism, the heresy of believing that the physical world does not matter. God created the physical world, and we live within it. As Christians and Jews, we are to use our reason, along with prayer and scriptural study, to navigate our world. We are not to live only in a spiritual realm. We must acknowledge the realities in front of us. We can not simply say, love is the only important thing, and move on from there, living in a fairy land of love.

Administrating the world, and pruning the garden are important aspects of the world. Look at Paul's letters and how much administrative advice he dealt out.

Our governments are made up of ideas, some good and some bad. But, despite some of the bad things some of our governments in the West may do, they all invariably protect Freedom of Conscience. Our governments do the job of administrating Freedom for us. As such, we need to be thankful for them. Without such protection human beings the world over would not have the opportunity to hear the gospel preached.

Here in the US, I help pay for Bibles and people to be smuggled into China and North Korea so that they can hear the word of God in those countries. I also support Voices of the Martyrs which sends missionaries to Islamic countries.

If we were not able to produce hundreds of millions of Bibles here in the US, these things could not be done.

The Western world is vital. It is not a matter of pride. It is a matter of freedom and morality.

NY Times Support The War In Iraq

I'm a tad confused- weren't we all told endlessly that Bush lied about WMDs in Iraq? Well, it seems that the New York Times has come to the conclusion that Hussein was, in fact, a very real threat to the security of the USA and the rest of the the world- because he was a year away from making a fully functional nuclear weapon. And they've roundly criticised the Bush administration for putting documents which detail how to make such a device online- documents that detail how a terrorist group or a rogue nation, for example, could make one too. Good thing the US and allies deposed Saddam before he sold or gave that information to the likes of Al Qaeda.

Among the dozens of documents in English were Iraqi reports written in the 1990s and in 2002 for United Nations inspectors in charge of making sure Iraq had abandoned its unconventional arms programs after the Persian Gulf war. Experts say that at the time, Mr. Hussein’s scientists were on the verge of building an atom bomb, as little as a year away.

The documents, roughly a dozen in number, contain charts, diagrams, equations and lengthy narratives about bomb building that nuclear experts who have viewed them say go beyond what is available elsewhere on the Internet and in other public forums. For instance, the papers give detailed information on how to build nuclear firing circuits and triggering explosives, as well as the radioactive cores of atom bombs.

Glad we've finally got that cleared up. Good of the Times to drop that bombshell just days before the election too.

University of Pennsylvania president Amy Gutmann threw her annual Halloween costume party at her home Tuesday night. Among the guests was Saad Saadi, who came dressed as a suicide bomber, complete with plastic dynamite strapped to his chest and a toy automatic rifle. Worse, Gutmann posed with Saadi!An obvious question: would Gutmann have posed with a guest--or even allowed him into her house--if he'd dressed as Adolf Hitler or a Nazi SS officer? A KKK member?But in modern liberal circles, posing as a Palestinian suicide bomber (see his kefiya) is just fine. After all, he mainly tries to kill innocent Jews.

Saad Saadi has a web site, at which he has posted many photographs along with the apology posted below.

My friend, Jason, and I express our condolences and sympathy to all affected by our costumes. We wish to make it clear that we do not support terrorism, violence, or anything that is against society. There is no agenda or statement associated with our behavior shown in these pictures. The costumes are meant to portray scary characters much like many other costumes on Halloween. Additionally, we strive for all societies to instill healthy and non-violent values.

Honestly, I think I can understand Saad's apology. When people are young they do have a hard time understanding the true horror of the suffering of others. It could be that Saad really has no Jihadi sympathies.

However, wouldn't you think the fucking President of University of Pennsylvania would have more sense? Well, maybe she has sympathy for the Jihad. That wouldn't be surprising, would it?

Muslims are always playing the victim. But just who’s doing what to whom?

Daniel Pipes has been tracking the Muslim hate crime myths since 2004.

In all, then, there are at least five cases proven or alleged hoax crimes since 9/11; how many more might there be that no one has counted? Michelle Malkin wonders about this too, noting that “when it comes to cracking down on hate crime hoaxes by Arabs and Muslims, the feds—too busy conducting politically correct "outreach" with Muslim leaders who pooh-pooh hate crime fraud—have been appallingly negligent. There is no way of knowing whether fake hate crimes outnumber real anti-Muslim crimes because no law enforcement agency keeps track.”

Here are Pipes recent examples.

• August 25, 2004. one Mirza Akram of Everett, Washington, plastered vile anti-Arab graffiti on the store he was managing and planning to buy before allegedly setting fire to it. Well, the ever-vigilant Michelle Malkin, in a May 29, 2003 article titled "Myth of the Muslim hate crime epidemic" and a May 30, 2003 article titled "More Muslim hate crime myths" provides specifics of four other instances in which American Muslims – Ahmad Saad Nasim, Mazhar Tabesh, Nezar "Mike" Maad, and Aqil Yassom Al-Timimi – won themselves vast sympathy as victims of "hate crimes," only to have it turn out that they were actually the perps.
• Sep. 30, 2004 update: Add a sixth apparent fraudster, Amjad Abunar, to the five above. "Hate-Crime Accuser Charged With Arson". he owner of a Middle Eastern meat market who had said he was the victim of a hate crime in this border town was arrested and arraigned Tuesday [Sept. 28] on a felony arson charge that he set fire to his own business. The man, Amjad Abunar, had complained that "Go Home" was twice spray-painted on a door of his Al Madinah Market before a fire on Aug. 6 that gutted the small delicatessen. Only last week, the graffiti and fire were cited as evidence by a Washington advocacy group that hate crimes against Muslims were on the rise in Texas. Bond for Mr. Abunar was set at $150,000, and he remained in jail on Wednesday. And which "Washington advocacy group" might that be? Why, CAIR of course.
• Feb. 6, 2005 update: Belatedly, here is the scoop on a seventh "hate crime" hoax, this one perpetrated by Saleh Nawash, 54. A naturalized U.S. citizen who emigrated from Lebanon, Nawash is a leader at the Islamic Mosque of Cleveland. He owned a meat store called Halal Products (halal is the Islamic equivalent of kosher) and in July 2002 he pleaded guilty to conspiracy, attempted aggravated arson, and attempted insurance fraud. When Halal Products failed, reports the Cleveland Plain Dealer (not online), Nawash coveted the $100,000 insurance policy on the business and hired an arsonist to do the dirty deed. The prosecutor provided details on how he left kerosene in the building and how, to win sympathy, he plotted to make the fire look like a hate crime. Nawash received a jail sentence of nine years; his side-kick Ahmed Jaffal, 49, got eight years.
• Nov. 13, 2005 update: Here is hoax number eight: Shehab Ahmed and his father Shahriar fulminated on March 23, 2005, David Reinhard recounts in the Oregonian, because the former had been kicked off an airplane. "The son of a prominent Muslim is told he can't fly home to Portland and tonight, his family is looking for answers," anchor Russ Lewis announced. Shehab, we were told, was coming home from UCLA for spring break when he found out he was on the FBI terror watch list. He was eventually allowed on a flight, but, said Shehab, "To know that the government puts me on the list as bin Laden and whatnot . . . that's scary." Here's what actually happened at LAX: Shehab Ahmed did miss one plane home to Portland, but only because he got to the airport late. When he tried to get on another flight, there was a problem—a momentary one. Shehab's name matched a name on the terror watch list. The ticket agent asked for ID, and Shehab was allowed on the flight to Portland. And here's what did not happen: Ahmed wasn't on the watch list or put on it. He was not told he couldn't fly home; he was allowed on the flight he wanted to be on after providing ID. He wasn't yanked out line or taken to a special room for questioning by government agents. In fact, government agents—TSA personnel—were not involved in any of this. What happened to Shehab that March day isn't found in any TSA or FBI report; there was no incident to report.
• Aug. 31, 2006 update: Patrick Poole tells the tale of Musa Shteiwi and his son Essa, our ninth hoaxers. a Jordanian-born restaurant owner in Xenia, Ohio had been the apparent victim of repeated attempts to burn down his store. The day after the third attack, when a Molotov cocktail had been thrown through the front window of his business, yet another explosion rocked the store – the second attack in 24 hours – sending the owner and his son to the hospital with burns over 80-90 percent of their bodies. An employee in an adjoining store was also taken to the hospital for injuries. Arson investigators have determined that the final blast that severely injured the store owner, Musa Shteiwi, and his son, Essa, was set by the pair themselves. In a performance worthy of a Darwin Award, the Shteiwis were standing in a pool of gasoline that they intended to use as an accelerant in setting their store ablaze later that night when Musa Shteiwi took a break and lit up a cigarette, igniting the gasoline prematurely and causing the blast that inflicted their injuries.

The Jerusalem Post (via Israelly Cool) reports that thousands of Arabs/Muslims living in Judea/Samaria/Gaza are leaving for other countries, with thousands more requesting to emigrate too:

Palestinians are leaving the territories due to the harsh security and economic situation there, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

Israel Radio reported that thousands of Palestinians have received permits to emigrate to Arab and other foreign countries.

Ahmed Suboh, a Palestinian Foreign Ministry official, said at a Ramallah press conference that over the last four months, foreign and Arab diplomats in the territories have authorized 10,000 Palestinians to enter their countries.

Suboh said that some 45,000 additional emigration requests were currently being evaluated by various foreign representatives.

The Foreign Ministry official noted that Palestinian emigration was likely to continue with the deterioration of the security situation.

A situation that their "leaders" led to, lest we forget. And, as Aussie Dave notes:

Before the palestinians began their war against us - engaging in, and supporting terrorism - they were able to freely move in and out of Israel, find employment in Israel, and have Israelis frequent their businesses. They have only themselves to blame for their predicament. Well, themselves and the Arab and Muslim countries that have decided to use them as pawns in their pursuit of Israel's destruction.

Yup.
