Egypt Declares Hamas a Terrorist Organization

In a big move, that nevertheless should not surprise those paying attention, Egypt has ruled Hamas to be a terrorist organization. 

The BBC: 

“It has been proven without any doubt that the movement has committed acts of sabotage, assassinations and the killing of innocent civilians and members of the armed forces and police in Egypt,” Judge Mohamed el-Sayed said, according to state news agency Mena. 

Besides Hamas, which is now entirely cut off and surrounded by enemies, the biggest losers from this verdict are Turkey and the Obama Administration. 

Turkey has positioned itself as Hamas’ biggest backer, partly out of genuine conviction on the part of Turkey’s ruling Islamists, partly as a play to regain the leadership of the Middle East that the Turks held in Ottoman times. Now it is having its impotence effectively demonstrated as Egypt and its gulf allies trash Turkey’s dreams of regional leadership. 

The Obama administration had similarly based its Middle East policy in large part on outreach to the ‘moderate Islamists’ of whom the Muslim Brotherhood (of which Hamas is the Palestinian branch) and which numbers both Turkey’s Erdogan and Egypt’s pre-coup president Morsi among its supporters, are the most prominent force. That policy is now in tatters.

By now, I think, an awful lot of people have seen the story broken by a national newspaper of Kuwait, Al Jarida, that an American diplomat told them Israel’s strike was averted because Zbig Brzezinski, whose anti Israel certifications bridge the gap to FUNCTIONAL anti Semitism, and whose tenure as NSC leader was a DISASTER, convinced Obama to tell Bibi the USAF would attack any IAF jets crossing Iraq to get at Iran’s nuclear program.

If true, the FEAR that this story of the USA defending Iran militarily would be revealed by Netanyahu in his address to the joint session must have been shriveling scrotums into a rictus of snarling yelps in the bunker. It is somewhat ironic that she, and Susan (I am a tool who will make myself a national liar for my lord Obama) Rice are the speakers for Obama this week at AIPAC.

But never mind that now.

Imagine the scene in Israeli HQ when Brzezinski’s plan hit. Any tangling over Iraq as American planes and pilots DEFENDED IRAN from ALLY ISRAEL, especially while the official policy of the USA was to ABSOLUTELY PREVENT IRAN FROM ACQUIRING NUCLEAR WEAPONS, would be an utter, all time disaster. Any success the USA had would degrade the attack. But what if Israel ‘won’? Completely Pyrrhic.

But now, as with other Obama #REDLINES that policy on which nations depended is gone and the avalanche of stories telling us the deal is that Iran will be free to stockpile an arsenal as Pakistan did (now if they can keep it secret) in 10 years, before coming out as a nuclear power.

It is my hope that Netanyahu will use the words of EVERY leader of Iran about their plans for Israel since 1979 to explain without having to explain why he is there, and will find a way to warn not just of a coming nuclear arms race as Obama’s legacy, but that because of the score of red lines Obama has drawn, Israel must draw JUST ONE, and that if this deal occurs, it has been crossed.

The administration has tried to rebuff Bibi by telling us that Israel has no alternative to this horrible deal.

Well, he HAS ONE. You just don’t like it.

They have been conducting drill after drill, including sub launched missiles, you can be sure, but IMHO whatever will be coming, if it comes to it, will NOT be just a bunch of F-16’s with bombs.

If this story of Obama’s threat is true, then Israel’s strike must be DECISIVE in one swing.

You tell me what that compels.

Certainly if in NH, Sen Jean Shaheen nearly lost a pretty safe seat over THIS ISSUE, and the Dems lost a SOLID, LARGE, majority in the senate, this nation feels strongly a secure border, and SOME KIND OF PLAN to deal with the CRIMINALS (ipso facto) who have come here is compulsory.

We are NOT going to deport 8-11 million people, the vast majority of whom abide our laws EXCEPT ONE, the one they broke coming here. We are NOT going to do nothing about them being here, and we NEED a secure border FIRST before we can have a rational discussion about a plan BECAUSE the people have lost trust and faith in the federal govt to keep the border in previous attempts to deal with this.

So this nation DISLIKES, by virtue of national election, what Obama has arrogated to his desk.
However the loyalty of 40+ D’s in the Senate to Obama, the fear of party reprisal, and the lure of future legal (and per force) illegal D votes make a Senate approval of a House Bill (by Constitutional law it HAS to come from the House) to strip funding from Obama’s amnesty program for illegal aliens CANNOT BE PASSED.

So either kill the 60 vote debate cloture rule and vote a bill with a 54 vote majority (and probably not ONE D) or pass a clean bill.

The Dems did this (the nuclear option) in the last congress and have set a road I warned then they would rue. Now here we are.

We have a thin lipped, old white guy with ZERO public persona and no emotional connection to the people in the Senate explaining nothing to the people (and he IS the de facto operational leader), and Mr. Teary Tan in the House, herding cats many of whom have no faith in him for his own lack of resolve, ideologically speaking.

Why have both of these men not sat together FIRST, and come out together and said, HERE is where the flag is stuck into the ground on this issue, and we are prepared to stand by it on this hill?
Unless it;s not that important to them, or they never had that meeting, or they are the wrong people.
TAKE YOUR CHOICE.

But either way, either lead to a law and use the nuclear option leaving it to Obama to kill the DHS budget with a veto for his new program (which nhas NOTHING to do with Homeland Security), or PASS A CLEAN BILL.

The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma’an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama thwarted an Israeli military attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran. 

Following Obama’s threat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was reportedly forced to abort the planned Iran attack. 

According to Al-Jarida, the Netanyahu government took the decision to strike Iran some time in 2014 soon after Israel had discovered the United States and Iran had been involved in secret talks over Iran’s nuclear program and were about to sign an agreement in that regard behind Israel’s back. 

The report claimed that an unnamed Israeli minister who has good ties with the US administration revealed the attack plan to Secretary of State John Kerry, and that Obama then threatened to shoot down the Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.
Al-Jarida quoted “well-placed” sources as saying that Netanyahu, along with Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon, and then-Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, had decided to carry out airstrikes against Iran’s nuclear program after consultations with top security commanders. 

According to the report, “Netanyahu and his commanders agreed after four nights of deliberations to task the Israeli army’s chief of staff, Benny Gantz, to prepare a qualitative operation against Iran’s nuclear program. In addition, Netanyahu and his ministers decided to do whatever they could do to thwart a possible agreement between Iran and the White House because such an agreement is, allegedly, a threat to Israel’s security."

Australia: Terrorists threaten Senator Jacquie Lambie with beheading unless she helps introduce sharia law

POLICE are investigating a poison pen letter claiming that terrorists plan to behead Tasmanian Senator Jacquie Lambie unless she helps introduce sharia law in Australia. 

The letter warns that “you are the enemy of Islamic State, therefore, I will take the honour in beheading you”. 

It includes graphic images of a man having his head sliced off by a knife. 

Her office conceded the letter could be a fake threat, linked to opponents of a new mosque in Adelaide, but said that they were taking the threat seriously and had referred the matter to the Australian Federal Police. 

It claims to have been prepared by the “Adelaide Islamic State Mujahideen” and makes references to plans to build a mosque in Adelaide, suggesting that the development would represent a celebration of Lindt gunman Haron Monis’s efforts to expand the Islamic State’s philosophy.

The video shows Nemtsov and his female companion walking along the bridge. At 23:31 a snowplow catches up with them and hides the pair from view.
A moment later a man, possibly the killer, is seen running out from behind the snowplow and jumps into the waiting car. Just how he got on the bridge is hard to say though.
It looks like the murder was carefully planned in advance.

Police in Bremen, Germany Warn of Islamist Terrorism Threat, Mosque Searched, "Some Persons Detained"

Police in Bremen, Germany have warned of a potential Islamist terrorist attack. The local Islamist center was searched.

Deutsche Welle reported:

Fearing an Islamist attack, police in Germany’s northern port city of Bremen have swooped after adopting “security measures in the public arena.” Apart from detentions and an arrest, an Islamic center was searched. 

Federal authorities had been receiving tip-offs since Friday evening about the activities of potential Islamists, the police said, without clarifying whether it was a terrorist threat. 

People in Bremen were said to have remained relaxed despite the apparent threat. A Bundesliga match between Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg at the Weser stadium went ahead as planned. 

In the evening, police searched an Islamic cultural center near the railway station, refusing to give any details of the operation for the moment. 

Heavily armed police were sighted in the city throughout the day, protecting places of special significance such as Jewish community sites, the town hall and the marketplace. 

A police spokesman revealed on Saturday evening that “some persons have been detained.” 

There had been an official arrest as well, he added. Again, the spokesman did not give any details, merely referring to a police statement released earlier in the evening, in which the talk was of a “security net” which had been set up to cover the city center.
