Friend Cass Sunstein's new book....ready? Constitution:Why the Founding Document Doesn't Mean What It Meant Before

Take deep breath.

Count to ten.

Find it HERE and by all means search inside.

As for meaning what it says .. well here is one example and a further explanation.

I picked this at random, BTW. It could be any of the 1st 10, that annoying Bill of Rights thing that right wing nut Jefferson insisted on to Madison from France.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

What did Jefferson think this meant?

In a nation governed by the people themselves, the possession of arms to defend their nation against usurpers within and without was deemed absolutely necessary. This right is protected by the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. A gun was an everyday implement in early American society, and Jefferson recommended its use. "A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun, therefore, be the constant companion of your walks." --Thomas Jefferson to Peter Carr, 1785. ME 5:85, Papers 8:407

"The constitutions of most of our States assert that all power is inherent in the people; that... it is their right and duty to be at all times armed." --Thomas Jefferson to John Cartwright, 1824. ME 16:45

"One loves to possess arms, though they hope never to have occasion for them." --Thomas Jefferson to George Washington, 1796. ME 9:341

Now, I would think that this is clear enough for us here 230+ years in the future to INTERPRET rather unambiguously, unless we wish to simply say that we can, by popular fiat of the day, interpret all words in the Constitution in any way facile at any given moment for any given purpose we can use words and rationalizing to justify.

As Mr. Sunstein clearly feels he can tortuously guide us and transform us to think.

As for me, I'll take the old white guy from Virginia who took a chance on being hung to have his say.

I guess that means all that stuff about being created equal with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness doesn't mean that anymore either?

Nice day out. Think I'll get some exercise take my constant companion to the range for a couple hundred rounds while ruminating on the sheer stupidity and arrogance of our current leadership.

Cass Sunstein is, perhaps, the most dangerous of all Obama's friends/Czars.

He has shown himself to have been inculcated with the same "black nationalist" hatred which William Ayers espouses in his book Fugitive Days. He believes that the only reason America has not, already, become more Socialist is because "white people are too racist".

Put this together with Valerie Jarrett, Susan Powers, Rahm Emanuel, Van Jones (though he is not actually part of the Administration anymore), the SEIU, ACORN, Eric Holder, the Black Panthers,

and we see where Obama is going.

Obama may be a very, very dangerous man.

His ideas are racist and insane.

If he tries to implement his ideas (which he is trying to do), then he is a threat to the American Tradition.

How he tries to implement his ideas is the real question.

Does he do it through the Legislative process or through physical coercion?

If he implements his ideas through the Legislative process, then what?

Physical coercion? By who? The police? Will the police implement what amounts to Black Panther Law? If not, then who will?

That is why I say he is potentially a very, very dangerous man.

Who would implement the ideas and policies of this administration?

Who?

Think about it.

"We need a civilian national security force which is just as powerful, just as stron, just as well-funded (as the American Military) ..."
