TED NUGENT SHOULD BE IN PRISON - PERIOD - END OF STORY

“It isn’t the enemy that ruined America. It’s good people who bent over and let the enemy in," he said. "If the coyote’s in your living room pissing on your couch, it’s not the coyote’s fault. It’s your fault for not shooting him."
--- Ted Nugent

RIGHT IS RIGHT. WRONG IS WRONG.

HE IS CLEARLY IMPLYING THAT OBAMA DESERVES TO BE MURDERED.

NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO SAY WHAT HE SAID ABOUT THE PRESIDENT.

COUNT PASTORIUS AS ONE WHO SAYS, "MAYBE TED NUGENT OUGHT TO BE DEAD. HE IS THE COYOTE PISSING ON MY COUCH."

I took his comments as figurative/metaphorical. And you know I do not countenance threats against our politicians, regardless of rank or affiliation.

The only reason I posted on it was to point out the hypocrisy (yet again) of the left crying out for his head while folks like Rev Louis F. and Bill the Crab Ridden Dripping Cunt Maher get a pass.

FWIW:

Nugent: I've never in my life threatened anyone's life

If one side is trying to convince you the other side hates women enuf to conduct a war against them, what is it one might expect the other side to sound like?

This is where it's all going until we have violence in the streets

Pastorius said...

Are you justifying what Nugent said, Epa?

cjk said...

If Ted Nugent gets arrested for those words then we have truly lost our freedom.
I find it incredible to compare the shooting of a coyote with political assassination.
He obviously is comparing the shooting of the coyote with the motivation of the electorate and legislature.
You must be joking !

cjk,
Nugent also said that he would be dead or in prison if Obama is elected again.

By saying that, he is implying that he would take up arms against the Obama Administration, or against Obama directly.

This is tantamount to Sedition, if not a call for an outright assassination.

How about if I said this to you,

"Wow, you know that cjk's daughter is smoking hot. Look at how she comes in the house in that sundress, shaking her tits and ass around, and not giving me any. Anyone who didn't fuck her, when she acts like that, would not be a real man. If she comes in the house like that one more time, and doesn't give it up, I'll either be dead or in prison."

We stomp insects
We shoot coyotes
We discipline children
We debate opponents
We evict deadbeats
We vote out corrupt racists.

Pastorius said...

cjk,
How you feel about Barack Obama has nothing to do with whether this statement is a threat against the President or not.

cjk said...

Being familiar with Ted Nugents style, the dead of prison comment has to do with the government trying to dispose of his Second Amendment rights.
Even if it doesn't, it's still quite a stretch to take that as a threat against The Man Child himself.

cjk said...

How I feel about the precedent has nothing to do with my comments true thrust.

Pastorius said...

I find myself disagreeing with people who I normally agree with.

However, that does not deter me.

I think you guys are wrong, and I am right.

I have swam upstream before. This is definitely not my first time.

Thing is, as with everything, this will play out, and it will come to light whether I am right or not.

As with my opposition to the Vlaams Belang, and less stridently so, my opposition to the EDL, it will come to light that I am right here.

There is no one who still supports the Vlaams Belang or the EDL.

And, in another year's time, people will look back at this Nugent thing and see that it was the beginning of the end.

cjk said...

I for one still find myself supporting the EDL

Actually my quik interpretation of Nugent's remarks was that in defending the 2nd amendment ..WHEN IT WAS REVOKED IN FXN BY EXECUTIVE DECREE he would be imprisoned or shot dead.

A little paranoid, but maybe not THAT paranoid.

I really didn't think he was saying he would attack the prez. That would be breathtakingly stupid.

Pastorius, I respectfully disagree ...................... unlike a man of my long-ago {cyber} acquaintance, back under the Clinton administration, who wondered where would be a good place for his sniper hideout when Billy Jeff Bentpecker was out-and-abouting somewhere, I took Nugent's comments to the effect that, under a 2nd Øbama administration, he {Nugent} would be 'neutralized' somehow.

I am NOT an advocate, in any way, shape or form, of assassination - I lived through the assassinations of the Kennedys, MLK, etc. Lemme tole ya - those periods do NOT lead to any feelings of security ...................

Rhetoric, threats, whatever you want to call the current screeching from ALL sides of the political spectrum -- these calls are becoming alarming.

Where are we headed to?

All Barry needs is a 2nd term and he can start rounding up all the Uncle Ted's and putting them in camps or just shooting them when they resist. Do I think Barry would do this, Hell Yeah! And I think that is exactly what Ted was making reference to, he would be in a re-education camp or dead for refusing to go.

Anonymous said...

I believe that Ted was referring to what would be done to him in the case of a second term, not Obama. I remember during the Clintonoid era when Clinton was in Chicago for a parade a man who was a spectator called him a traitor. That man was arrested & put in jail according to the t.v. news cast. So much for freedom of speech even that long ago.

With all the hatred going around, right and left, it's not difficult for people to forget that even threatening the president is a federal offense punishable with
.... death? Or am I in the wrong country?

Pastorius said...

Threatening the President of the United States is a class D felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871.[38][39] The offense is punishable by five years in prison,[38] a $250,000 fine,[40] a $100 special assessment,[41] and 3 years of supervised release.

Pastorius said...

Threatening the President of the United States via an email, mail, or another person to person medium is one thing.

When a high-profile human being calls for the assination of the President of the United States as a speaker at a conference of a powerful organization like the NRA, I would argue the threat is tantamount to Sedition.

You guys can ignore this all you want. And, you can be sarcastic like the above commenter.

You are wrong.

Pastorius, you're wrong on a number of counts. First, you said it will "come to light" whether you're right or not. No, it's a matter of opinion whether Nugent's statement is objectionable or not. Second, you say it's clearly a threat; in fact just looking at his actual words, they are ambiguous and subject to varying interpretations. Of course, his intention is what matters, so when he talks to the secret service he can explain what he meant. Next, you say nobody supports EDL or VB; I do. In general, I disagree with stifling speech in order to avoid "things" coming to a head. Let's hear people's opinions on Obama. Or do we want the debate to be between the left and the castrated opposition like the McCain of 2008? We need to hear about the mortal threat these people pose to our republic. Diana West just wrote about this. Saying (in vague and ambiguous terms) that Obama wants to take people's guns is sedition? Obama's program is seditious! We have a socialist in the white house whose life goal is to undo the constitutional order and remake the USA in the image of the wildest dreams of all 1970s and 1980s community-activist college professors. Let's have that debate.

You're reading your fears into what Nuge said.
Got $5 that says this comes to nothing because the investigation will clear T.N. of any perceived wrong.

Pastorius said...

Sameno,
I think you're right. The investigation will clear him of any wrong.

And the reason for that is, our society tolerates far too much of this type of behavior. The precedent is already set. The left was producing plays and movies about murdering President Bush. There were threats against Bush on every street corner.

Pastorius said...

To the other Anonymous,
You are correct in saying that whether I am right or not will not come to light with time. This is a matter of opinion. Even if Nugent were clearly guilty by the letter of the law (and I think he is) it is still a matter for the court of public opinion to decide whether people like me, who think he is guilty, are right or wrong.

And, the court of public opinion is used to threats against the President.

What I should have said (I did not think out my meaning well, and wrote the wrong thing) is that I believe this statement by Nugent will be used against Republicans, and it will come to be viewed as the beginning of the end of the Romney campaign.

Nugent has imperiled all of us with his irresponsible behavior. He believes he is being brave, but instead he has given our enemy of a President reason to, once again, change the dialogue. Nugent, and people like him, need to be muzzled and removed from the presence of Mitt Romney. (As I said, Nugent really ought to be in jail, but it's clear no one else has the stomach for following this law, so hey, let's plunge on into further lawlessness - that's always a good thing, right?).

History, as it unfolds, will show whether I am right or wrong on this count. Maybe the public is a lot smarter than I give them credit for. Maybe the public at large will wake up and say, "Barack Obama is using false issues to attack Republicans. Why would I vote for a candidate who doesn't talk about real issues." But that same public elected Barack Obama in the first place, so I don't hold a lot of hope for reason to win the day. Instead, I think it is necessary for Mitt Romney to win by attacking and playing it very above the board. No cheap games behind the scenes. No reaching out to questionable people for support.

Barack Obama has perfected reaching out to (more than) questionable people for support. For instance, the New Black Panthers, who had a homepage on his campaign website in 2008.

Mitt Romney ought not behave like Barack Obama. And, from the beginning that means, he ought to keep his distance from maniacs like Nugent.

cjk said...

Comparing Ted NUgent to The New Black Panthers is laughable.

Pastorius said...

Yes, indeed, there is no moral equivalence between Ted Nugent and the New Black Panthers. The NBP are worse.

But, we can not have this kind of talk from Nugent either.

I would not be making such a big deal out of this if the Right were not absolutely quiet on the subject.

cjk said...

If I thought for a heartbeat that he was calling for the assassination of any American politician I would be wholeheartedly in your corner, but he's not.
There's a ridiculous element here.

Pastorius said...

Heh. Ok.

Why is Nugent's kill-happy ilk even allowed to own guns? Those who gloat the most over weapons seem the least suited to own them, when you consider all the mayhem they cause. Some ordinary Joe who talked like Nugent would fail a psychological screening. The term "law abiding citizen" is just a technicality in Nugent's case.

Pastorius said...

We have a right to own and carry guns here in the United States. It's guaranteed by the Constitution. Of that there is no doubt, unless you are a retarded Liberal.
