I frequently imagine the enormous undertaking it must have been to enjoy concerts during the period when musicians wore the layered frilly outfits in the top video. Imagine the planning for travel by performers and guests, lodging, provisions, carting of instruments, costumes, wigs etc. across the continent and the months of preparation with printing/mailing/delivering announcements, rehearsals (orchestra) . . .all for a singular opportunity to hear these notes played perhaps for the only time during a lifetime. Watching the first video with performers on stage under hot lights with ruffled lace cuffs dangling so close to the strings and bow - performing under current much improved circumstances thru modern conveniences. . .an absolute joy.

Certainly logistically easier these days to be a workin' travellin' musician.
