Jussie Smollett Allegedly Staged Attack Because He Was Upset He Only Got Paid $65,000 Per Episode

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson held a heated news conference concerning the department’s investigation on Thursday morning. Johnson claimed that Smollett had orchestrated the fake attack because he was “dissatisfied with his salary.”
According to the Huffington Post, Smollett was paid $65,000 per episode during the latest season of Empire, which is currently on a midseason break. Seasons of the show typically contain 18 episodes.
News outlets had previously reported that Smollett’s alleged gambit was in response to fears that he was being written off Empire, though the show’s network, Fox, soon released a statement denying this was the case.
Johnson further alleged during the conference that Smollett had initially sent a false letter to the set of Empire filled with racist and homophobic threats against himself. The letters “MAGA” were reportedly written on the corner of the envelope.
When that failed to generate enough attention, Johnson claims, Smollett then paid brothers Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo with a $3,500 check to carry out the staged assault a week later. Johnson added that detectives are in possession of the check.
GO READ THE WHOLE THING.

Now Smollett can worry about something else instead of his salary. Heh.

Proof that woke progressives are right. One of the grave sins of the free market is income inequality. We should tax such highly paid actors and use the money to improve the lives of the thousands of aspiring actors who never get any gigs. Because that is how progressives intend to make everyone’s life better.

FOX News Reported last night his salary was 1.8 million - $100,000 per episode.

I guess Mr Smollett needed more cash flow for the "Mollies" provided by one of the Nigerian brothers.

Meanwhile, in MAGA Country, I have never made $100,000 while working much harder than Jussie Smollett for my income.

Hell, I’m lucky to make $50k a year. I haven’t seen that income stream since my car accident of 2005.

$100K per episode is $60K per episode after taxes.

If that is what he is pissed off about, he should stop hating Trump and White People and become a Conservative working to lower taxes.
