One-Year Anniversary: ISIS Pronounced Itself The Caliphate

Today, June 29, 2015, marks one year to the day.

We're in the middle of Ramadan.

American Independence Day is this week.

We are hearing rather intense warnings of the likelihood of a terrorist attack this week.

This article, dated June 28, 2015, points out the following:

...In Britain, the ISIS targeted the annual Armed Forces Day parade on Saturday, but intelligence officials foiled the plot, which was discovered by an undercover British agent who was recruited by the terrorist group.

The ISIS had told the investigator, according to the London Sun, “It will be big. We will hit the kuffar (unbelievers) hard InshAllah. Hit their soldiers in their own land. InshAllah. Soldiers that served in Iraq and Afghanistan will be present. Jump in the crowd and detonate the bomb.

“They think they can kill Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan then come back to the UK and be safe. We’ll hit them hard InshAllah.”

The multiple attacks on Friday indicate, whether coordinated or not, are clear signs that the Islamic State’s declared war on the world is more than rhetoric....

This morning on CBS This Morning, Michael Morell, who served as the CIA deputy director until his retirement in 2013 and now is CBS News's Senior Security Correspondent, said (my best recollection of his exact words): "I wouldn't be at all surprised if we weren't sitting here in one week to discuss a major terrorist attack that had happened over the coming weekend."

A report from AFP just now stated that there are five hostages at the grocery store.

14.04 One person has been seriously wounded in the hostage-taking incident at a kosher supermarket in eastern Paris on Friday, a police union source said.

The interior ministry denied press reports that two people had been killed.

The Telegraph's Henry Samuel explains the suspects' backgrounds:

Coulbaly, a Frenchman of Senegalese descent from Juvisy in the Essonne area outside Paris, was part of the now notorious Buttes-Chaumont network that sought to recruit and sent radicalised French youths to Iraq in the early 2000s.

The Koachi brothers were also part of the network, based in Paris’ 19th
arrondissement.

One of 10 children and the only boy, Coulibaly became a delinquent at 17, and a repeat offender for petty thefts and drugs crimes, moving onto an armed bank robbery in September 2002 in Orleans, in the Loiret, before radicalising.

In 2013, he was convicted to five years in prison for his involvement in a
botched prison break-out of Smain Ali Belkacem, a former member of the
Algerian Islamist group GIA and the author of a 1995 attack on the Paris
transport system that killed eight people and wounded 117.

The Koachi brothers were arrested and detained for involvement in the
Belkacem breakout, but later released due to lack of evidence.

According to Le Monde, the Coulbaly and Boumeddiene were already in a relationship in 2010, when he was arrested over the jailbreak attempt. She reportedly waited for her boyfriend to be released from prison this Spring after four years in detention, and he lived with her after that in a Paris suburb.

The pair reportedly visited Beghal in 2010 in Cantal, southern France,
where he was under house arrest. That year, French surveillance officers
photographed Beghal playing football with Cherif Kouachi and two other
convicted terrorists, Ahmed Laidouni, a jihadi recruiter, and Farid Melouk,
an Algerian member of the GIA terror group.

Quizzed by French intelligence agents at the time, Boumeddiene told them that she and Coulbaly had gone there to practice “crossbow shooting”

The mayor's office in Paris announced the closures Friday of shops along the Rosiers street in Paris' Marais neighborhood, in the heart of the tourist district and about a kilometer away from the offices of newspaper Charlie Hebdo where 12 people were killed on Wednesday.

Hours before the Jewish Sabbath, the street is usually especially rowded with shoppers - French Jews and tourists alike.

The Vincennes region of eastern Paris in which the second, grocery hostage situation is taking place has a large Jewish population.

There has also been speculation that the attack in which a policewoman was killed yesterday in Montrouge was an aborted attempt to attack a Jewish school there.

"Whoever finds him, kill him, and he will be rewarded."

Al-Mutawa wrote in reply: "My work has glorified Islam from the US to China for the past ten years.

"I really do not believe in ISIL and Qaeda... I don't care about them."

The 99 centres around a group of superheroes, each of whom embodies one of the 99 attributes of Allah.

Al-Mutawa created the series with the explicit purpose of celebrating the "messages of tolerance and peace" in Islam.

The Jerusalem Post writes a book review of Hezbollah: A Short History, written by one Augustus Richard Norton, a Boston University professor and terror apologist:

Here we go again: yet another American "scholar" who apologizes for an Islamist terrorist group that exists first and foremost to murder, maim and destroy. With Hezbollah: A Short History, Augustus Richard Norton, a Boston University professor of international relations and anthropology, has joined the ranks of dozens of US academics who inexplicably teach the kinder and gentler side of terrorists.

Norton, a former observer with the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization, states in his prologue that he seeks to provide "a more balanced and nuanced account" of Hizbullah, which he calls a "complex organization." Of course, there is little that is complex or nuanced about a group that receives an estimated $100 million a year from the radical Islamic regime in Iran to carry out violence, and has used violence as its raison d'etre dating back to the 1980s.

Indeed, Hizbullah exists to further the violent aims of Iran, to demonize and attack the US and to destroy Israel. Norton neglects to state this unequivocally and, for that reason, he should be publicly shamed.

Well this looks like a good place to start, no? Let us get him known for what he really is right over here for starters.

Arrested suspects radicalised by mosque promoters Tablighi Jamaat

“Government must ban construction of mega-mosque” says Cllr Alan Craig

Newham councillor Alan Craig today called on the government to formally ban the construction of a massive mosque on a site less than a mile from the main 2012 Olympic stadium at Stratford, east London.

Reports that Tablighi Jamaat - the fundamentalist Islamic sect who propose to build the mosque as their international headquarters - are directly responsible for radicalising two of the London and Glasgow car bomb suspects has added to suspicions that the sect are not the peaceable group they claim to be.

“The dangerous truth about Tablighi Jamaat is coming out. We must watch the gap between what they say and what they do,” said Cllr Craig, leader of the Christian Peoples Alliance group on Newham Council, who lives with his young family a mile from the mosque site. ”It will be a horrendous security nightmare if they are allowed to build this large mosque so close to the Olympics.”

In the last few days friends and neighbours of Kafeel and Saheel Ahmed in Bangalore, India, have told how the brothers changed dramatically a few years ago when they joined Tablighi Jamaat. They were reportedly barred from the local mosque because they insisted on praying in the prescribed Tablighi manner. Kafeel is now in a critical condition in Glasgow Royal Infirmary with 92% burns following the failed attempt to blow up a flaming Jeep at Glasgow Airport last Saturday. Saheel remains under arrest in Paddington Green police station.

Furthermore it is also significant that a number of suspects arrested in connection with last August’s Atlantic airline terror plot too were followers of Tablighi Jammat. Friends and families of Assad Sarwar and Waheed Zuman have spoken publicly about how Tablighi Jamaat changed the two men and radicalised their religious commitment prior to their alleged involvement in the planned atrocity.

7/7 suicide bombers Mohammed Siddique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer are reckoned to have attended Tablighi Jamaat’s European headquarters mosque in Dewsbury, west Yorkshire, where Tanweer also attended Tabligh’s madrassa or Islamic school. And Richard “Shoe bomber” Reid worshipped at a Tablighi mosque.

“Tablighi Jamaat radicalises and dehumanises Muslim young men,” said Alan Craig. “They have a growing and ominous track record as further young men follow Tabligh teaching about Islam and then go on to plan horrendous atrocities.”

Cllr Craig also demonstrated the radicalising effect of Tablighi Jamaat by pointing to a Muslim publication that highlights the dramatic impact of Tablighi teaching on individuals and families. See Islamic Research Foundation International webpage:

“Tablighi Jamaat is large, powerful, ambitious, secretive and apparently well-funded,” said Alan Craig. “They have deliberately stayed below the radar screen for too long. They must be now fully investigated by the government. And they must be banned from building their mega-mosque.”

For they are only pieces of cloth. Simple pieces of cloth. God forbid a lock of hair may be shown in public. Must not arouse the underlying repressed sexual desires of their menfolk. Though such a significance is placed on the wearing of the veil, that those who do not adhere to the strict ruling on the veiling of females in Iran, face arrest, and beatings when caught in the act mal-veiling.

NCRI, May 20, Tehran – A number of clashes have been reported in Tehran between regimes’ special police forces and young women following enactment of the new chastity plan by the Majlis (mullahs' parliament) and the campaign against women’s mal-veiling, reported the Iranian Women Society in Tehran.

The Society released a photo of a young women who had been badly injured by the regime's security forces.

A shop owner at the scene said: “The [regime] agents stopped three women between the ages of 25 to 30 for their nonconformity to the veiling measures. But their language was too rough making the women to react.”

Another eyewitness reports that in an argument between the people and the police, a mother and her daughter were beaten and their faces were covered with blood. They took their headscarf off in protest. It is said that they were using their mobiles to film agents attacking a women.

Disturbing is it not?

Iranian Interior Minister Mustafa Pour Mohammadi: "It is our duty to protect this most valuable cultural treasure."

What a lovely sentiment. Perhaps I am getting carried away. Or am I?

Fatima Mernissi, author of The Veil and the Male Elite expresses her opinion thus: "When I finished writing this book, I had come to understand one thing: if women's rights are a problem for some modern Muslim men, it is neither because of the Koran nor the Prophet nor the Islamic tradition, but simply because those rights conflict with the interests of the male elite." (Mernissi, 1991, p. ix).

Veiling and seclusion of women are a consequence of a patriarchal society. The issue of dress as a personal and political concern has implications for gender power and status in all cultures. Realizing this helps us understand why the Islamic patriarchy takes so much interest in the veil; in this context the veil is symbolic of a power struggle.

Of course that is what any of us with an ounce of human dignity, has known all along. The males are all about controlling the women. Must do all within their undeserving power, to keep women under their thumb, under their boot and in their place. Couple that fact, with their warped views on sexuality, ( Why else would islam promise 72 virgins as a reward for suicide??.) and folks as long as they are allowed to get away with this travesty of human justice and freedom. Iranian women and girls will suffer under the bondage of the islamic patriarchy. Exactly what the misogynist pigs thrive on.


And the veil will rule....


Maybe it is high time, that Iranian women band together and burn their veils, in a symbolic protest against this token of their subjection. Picture it, thousands of strong Iranian females across Iran, simultaneously creating massive bonfires, lighting the torch of their freedom.

Now that would be a sight for sore eyes...

Al Qaida in Lebanon

Again, there's a war in Lebanon, this time against an al Qaida cell operating in - guess where - a palestinian refugee camp. The Lebanese army clashed with them today:

TRIPOLI, Lebanon (AP) - Lebanese troops pounded a Palestinian refugee camp with artillery and tank fire for a second day Monday, raising huge columns of smoke as they battled a militant group suspected of ties to al-Qaida in the worst violence since the end of the 1975-90 civil war.

Nearly 50 combatants were killed in the first day of fighting Sunday, but it was not known how many civilians have been killed inside the Nahr el-Bared camp on the outskirts of the northern port city of Tripoli.

The battle was an unprecedented showdown between the Lebanese army and militant groups that have arisen in Lebanon's Palestinian refugee camps, which are home to tens of thousands of people living amid poverty and crime and which Lebanese troops are not allowed to enter.

That's why the al Qaeda was able to operate there!

The troops were fighting a group called Fatah Islam, whose leader has said he is inspired by al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and was training militants for attacks in other countries. Lebanese officials have also accused Syria of using Fatah Islam to stir up trouble in Lebanon, a charge Damascus has denied.

They can deny all they want, but I wouldn't be surprised if Syria was behind any funding for this gang.

Muslim Women: Popping Them Out Like Cluster Bombs, But for How Long?

The population of muslim countries has tripled in the past 50 years. But there are signs that even in the backwater muslim countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh, muslim women are beginning to rebel.

Consider that for the last fifty years, the population of all Moslem countries has tripled. That's population growth that is more than double the rate of the world as a whole, and about ten times the rate of Europe. It's about five times the rate in the United States.

Many of those unemployed young men are angry, and making war is a typical activity of angry young men.

....While Islamic countries tend to have very low levels of education, especially for women, the introduction of satellite television and DVDs has enabled even illiterate women to learn that there are other options. Ignorance is an excellent form of control, but when the ignorance is lost, so is the control.

....Losing control of the women is something that makes Islamic conservatives very angry. Murderously angry. This is a vicious, lethal battle taking place largely out of the media spotlight. But, long term, it is destroying the source of Islamic terrorism.

Of course, by the time Islamic violence and terrorism have been trimmed by more civilised birthrates, very few non-muslims may still be alive. But then, that may be what Allah intended, and it is certainly what most muslim clerics intend. Keep killing the infidel to the last drop of muslim blood, or so it goes.

Palestinian muslims and Lebanese Shias seem particularly vicious and bloodthirsty--willing to make babies for the sole purpose of training them to be suicide bombers. That cultivated perverse hatred will only get them into trouble. It is not clear how much blame should be placed on the backward culture, and how much blame to place on the religious clerics who keep the hatred constantly inflamed.

One way or another, things will change. The level of violent hatred and violence coming from Islam cannot be sustained indefinitely.

....just this week in the United States ... a Johnstown (western Pennsylvania) area imam Fouad El Bayly openly sanctioned the punishment by death of former Dutch Parliamentarian Ayaan Hirsi Ali-born and raised a Muslim in Somalia-for her open avowal of secularism.

"Liberal democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom and attaches all possible value to each man or woman." ... Individualism is not a recognizable feature of Islam; instead the collective will of the Muslim people is constantly emphasized. There is certainly no notion of individual rights, which developed in the West, especially during the eighteenth century.

The internal validity of these data about the present longing for a Caliphate is strongly suggested by a concordant result: 65.5% of this Muslim sample approved the proposition "To require a strict [emphasis added] application of Shari'a law in every Islamic country."

Notwithstanding ahistorical drivel from Western Muslim "advocacy" groups such as the Muslim Association of Britain, which lionizes both the Caliphate and the concomitant institution of Shari'a as promulgators of "a peaceful and just society" , the findings from the University of Maryland/ WorldPublicOpinion.org poll are ominous.
