The Shot Heard Round the World

To our friends in the UK and the rest of Europe, what this video says about the Council on American-Islamic Relations, could just as easily be of the Muslim Council of Britain, or any of the other Taqiyya-spewing Muslim political organizations. Obviously, it's all the same murderous hypocrisy. It's all the same Islamic Jihad.

"I speak peace when peace is spoken, But I speak war when your hate is provoking, The season is open 24-7-365, Man up yo time to ride, No need to hide behind slogans of deceit, Claiming that you're a religion of peace, We just don't believe you, We can clearly see through, The madness that you're feeding your people, Jihad the cry of your unholy war, Using the willing, the weak and poor, From birth drowning in propaganda, rhetoric and slander, All we can say is damn ya

My forefathers fought and died for this here
I'm stronger than your war of fear
Are we clear?
If you step in my hood
It's understood
It's open season

I don't need a faith that's blind, Where death and hate bring me peace of mind, With views that are stuck deep in the seventh century, So much sand in your eyes to blind to see, The venom that you leaders preach, Is the path to your own destruction, Your own demise, You might say that I don't understand but your disgust for me is what I realize, Surprise!
Your homicidal ways has got the whole world watching, Whole world scoping, So if you bring it to my home base, Best believe it, The season's open

I see you, Hell yeah I see you, Motherfucker naw, I don't wanna be you, If you come to my place, I'll drop more than just some bass, Yo you'll get a taste of a, Sick motherfucker from the Dirty, I ain't worrying not a fucking bit, I'm telescoping like Hubble, Yo you in trouble, Yo on the double, I'm wild with mine, Bring that style with mine, Fuck with my family I'll end your life, Just the way it is, Just the way it be, Do you understand? No matter if you're woman or man, or child, My profile is crazy, That shit you do doesn't amaze me, I'm ready to blaze thee

I don't give a damn what god you claim, I've seen the innocent that you've slain, On my streets you're just fair game, Like a pig walk to your slaughter, The heat here is so much hotter, And my views won't teeter totter or fluctuate, Step to me you just met your fate, And I'll annihilate, With the skill of a Shogun assassin, Slicing and dicing precise with a passion, In any shape form or fashion, Bring it to my home, Welcome to the danger zone, Cause your attitude's the reason, The triggers keep squeezing, The hunt is on and it's open season

It's Open Season"

These lyrics say essentially the same thing as philosopher Karl Popper did in his book "The Open Society and Its Enemies":

"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them. In this formulation, I do not imply, for instance, that we should always suppress the utterance of intolerant philosophies; as long as we can counter them by rational argument and keep them in check by public opinion, suppression would certainly be unwise. But we should claim the right to suppress them if necessary even by force; for it may easily turn out that they are not prepared to meet us on the level of rational argument, but begin by denouncing all argument; they may forbid their followers to listen to rational argument, because it is deceptive, and teach them to answer arguments by the use of their fists or pistols. We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant."

Israeli aircraft struck a Hamas security target in the central Gaza Strip on Sunday, the Islamist group said.

There were no reported casualties from the attack, that came hours after Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert vowed a "disproportionate" response to rocket and mortar fire from Gazathat injured three Israelis.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

Witnesses said a missile struck after dark in a cluster of caravans that served as a Hamas security headquarters in Mughraqa, a village at the center of the coastal enclave.

They said the site had been evacuated, apparently after Israel telephoned warnings to Palestinians in Gaza to leave any buildings where weapons were located.

Dept. Of Energy - What's It For?

Read this slowly. Let it sink in. Quietly we go. Sheep to slaughter.

Absolutely The Funniest Joke Ever ! . . . ON US
Does anybody out there have any memory of the reason given for the establishment of the DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY during the Carter Administration?
Anybody?
Anything?
No?
Didn't think so.
Bottom line . . we've spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency the reason for which not one person who reads this can remember.
Ready? It was very simple, and at the time everybody thought it very appropriate.

The Department of Energy was instituted 8-04-1977 TO LESSEN OUR DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN OIL.
HEY, PRETTY EFFICIENT, HUH?

AND NOW IT'S 2008, 31 YEARS LATER, AND THE BUDGET FOR THIS NECESSARY DEPARTMENT IS AT $24.2 BILLION A YEAR, THEY HAVE 16,000 FEDERAL EMPLOYEES, AND APPROXIMATELY 100,000 CONTRACT EMPLOYEES AND LOOK AT THE JOB THEY HAVE DONE!

THIS IS WHERE YOU SLAP YOUR FOREHEAD AND SAY 'WHAT WAS I THINKING?'
Ah yes, good ole bureaucracy.
And now we are going to turn the Banking system over to them? God Help us.

Gentle Giant Goes Down

A Muslim convert described as the "least cunning" terrorist ever to come before a British court was yesterday sentenced to a minimum of 18 years in prison for a bungled suicide nail bombing.

Nicky Reilly - who changed his name to Mohamed Saeed-Alim - accidentally detonated his homemade device in the toilets of the crowded Giraffe restaurant in Exeter, injuring only himself.

The 22-year-old was given a life sentence at the Old Bailey after pleading guilty to attempted murder and preparing an act of terrorism last May.

They should hang the bastard

I can remender

ALL OF THE MSM AND AND BLOGSPHERE Had BEEN TRYING TO PUT THE BLAME ON MUSLIM EXTREMISTS AND MAKE THE EXETER BOMBER APPEAR TO BE A VICTIM

WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP
HE WAS NOT A GENTLE GAINT

HE WAS A WHITE ENGLISH MUSLIM
WHO
WENT INTO A FAMILY RESTAURANT WITH A BOMB

A bomb that was especially designed to cause agonising injuries to those it didn’t kill outright.

Detectives believe the Gente Giant planned to commit suicide and allegedly had help in constructing three “rudimentary but viable” bombs that had never been seen in Britain before. They were constructed from sodium hydroxide, aluminium foil strips and an essential oil, combined with kerosene.

The nails would tear the flesh open and the oil would produce a napalm type of burn, with the drain cleaner (caustic soda) continuing to produce chemical burns after the oil was extinguished. The aluminium foil would produce explosive hydrogen in contact with the drain cleaner, and then would itself ignite, peppering its victims with white hot burning globules of molten aluminium.

If it had gone up it would certainly have caused a huge fireball and the idea that this was happening in a family restaurant packed with children is awful.

So much for the Gentle Giant

The bombs that terrorists use are among the most evil weapons invented within todays world. The explosives are bad enough, but palestinians have chosen to add metal pieces to the bombs to increase their deadliness, and to deliberately wound as many people as possible.

X-ray picture of a 17-old girl, who was killed by a suicide-bomb's nail penetrating her skull.

The mechanics of a terrorist bomb

The explosive belt usually consists of several cylinders filled with explosive (de facto pipe bombs), or in more sophisticated versions with plates of explosive. The explosive is surrounded by a fragmentation jacket that produces the shrapnel responsible for most of the bomb’s lethality, effectively making the jacket a crude body-worn claymore mine. Once the vest is detonated, the explosion resembles an omnidirectional shotgun blast. The most dangerous and the most widely used shrapnel are steel ball bearings 3-7 mm in diameter. Other shrapnel material can be anything of suitable size and hardness, most often nails, screws, nuts, and thick wire. Shrapnel is responsible for about 80 or 90% of all casualties caused by this kind of device.

The metal shards do the most damage

The main killing power of any bomb is not the explosion itself (the shock wave is rather small because of small quantity of explosives used) but the fragments of its jacket, which are launched in all directions by the explosion. In air force bombs and in many types of artillery shells the pieces are formed out of the steel casing, which is split into small pieces in an explosion.

In anti-personnel tank shells and in some kinds of artillery shells part of the internal payload is dedicated to shrapnel- such a shell is filled with several thousand of needles (”flechettes”). Sometimes these flechettes are made of plastic, which do not show up on x-rays. Palestinian terrorists realized this principle long ago and use it widely. It is most likely that between 80 and 90% of the victims injured are hit by the bomb shrapnel.

The most widely used and the most dangerous shrapnel consists of ball bearings 3-7 millimeters in diameter. In the most severe terrorist acts the bombs of the suicide-bombers were filled with steel balls.

In an explosion, the balls are launched with such speed, that their power is close to a bullet’s. You could say that in an explosion the suicide-bomber shoots several hundred bullets in a single moment.

Aside from steel balls, nails, screws and so on, nuts and washers are also used. Nuts are easily glued together to form tiny plates that can be pressed in, or even tied by a tape to the plates of the explosive to hide it better. Likewise, nuts are also stringed on a thread or on a piece of wire.

Primary blast injury is caused by the rapid outward spread of the shock wave. Injury to gas-containing organs, such as perforation of the middle ear and blast lung injury (BLI) are most common (22.1% and 18.2% of victims, respectively).

Of all patients with BLI, 82% of victims aboard buses and in semi confined spaces will suffer from moderate and severe forms of BLI compared with 33% of victims in open spaces.

Secondary blast injury is caused by penetrating missiles that are propelled by the blast wave. More than 85% of victims of suicide bombing attacks (SBA) suffer from penetrating shrapnel and debris, most commonly to the head.

Tertiary blast injury results from a patient’s body being displaced by expanding gases. Burns are termed quaternary blast injury and are also notably more common after explosions inside confined spaces compared with open spaces (33.9% versus 5% of victims, respectively).

The hallmark of injuries after an SBA is the combination of blunt injury, multiple penetrating injuries with extensive soft tissue damage, and burns. Half of all patients hospitalized will be seen in a trauma unit setting and the same proportion will be admitted to an intensive care unit. Victims of SBAs are more severely injured compared with other trauma victims. Typical injuries include penetrating injury to the head (55%), extremities (49%), and torso (40%), burns (27%), open fractures (22%), and BLI (18%).

Here is an article which contains X-Rays of the victims of palestinian terrorist bombs.

Side view of lower back and abdomen. Note orientation of whole nails that entered head first
CT scan of head. Metal, bone, blood and air are within normal brain tissue
Front view of a pelvis imbedded with nails and metal fragments

But even this is not enough for the terrorists. They also soak the shrapnel in rat poison, because it causes hemorrhaging - victims may bleed to death before they can get to the hospital.

Remember all of this, when you hear the world tell us that Islam is a religion of peace in responding to this attack.

Remember all of this, when you read about the innocent gentle gaints

Remember all of this, when non muslims demonized by the blind, hateful people who wear checked kaffiyehs at anti-war protests, and call Israel an “apartheid state” for building a separation barrier — to keep out the monsters who would use bombs like I have just described.

Remember this, when you look at the pictures of the results of the bombing, and the carnage inflicted.

These are the people with whom 'some' others sympathize: Those who create and set off the bombs. Not the victims. The fucking bombers.

This isnt just ethically irrational, it's sick... fucking sick

They should shoot them

ANNOUNCEMENT: Calling All British and French Infidels, Post Your Videos Here

Yesterday, we ran the story that the UK government has decided that taking photographs of the police could be considered a crime

They don't want you to film them, because they don't want you to catch them failing at their job of protecting you the citizen.

This video is an example of what the police do not want you to see.

First, let us be clear, this attempt to stop you from filming things which happen in the public square is a clear violation of your Free Speech.

One of the primary reasons Freedom of Speech exists, and needs to exist, is to provide the people with a counterbalance to the powers which mediate the daily life of a society; religion, government, media, and security forces.

Any power which is deemed beyond criticism becomes an unchecked power, which is then able to rob Freedom from the people in any way it sees fit.

The police are an extension of the government and are, therefore, servants of the people, not the other way around. The police, no matter what they say - whether they claim that they must not be photographed for their own protection, or whatever - are employed at the behest of the citizenry, and are therefore subject to the criticism of the citizenry.

Simply put, you are the boss of the police, the police are not the boss of you, unless you are legitimately committing a crime, and ultimately that's for the courts to decide.

This being said, it is true that if the government in the UK, or France, makes it illegal to film policemen, then many citizens will be afraid to post their videos and photographs in a public forum.

But, here's the thing, this blog is an America-based website. It is not illegal for us to post these videos. If you have footage you want the world to see, let us know in the comments section. We'll work it out, and you keep your privacy.

The first job of the government is to protect it's citizenry by enforcing the laws of the country. When our governments decide they want to cover up the fact that they aren't doing their job, it becomes our responsibility as Free men to hold the government responsible to do their job.

We the people will win in this war, whether our current governments want to go along with us, or not.

From Iran: BHO's Efforts Indicate That The West Is A Failure

Anybody with half a brain could have seen this coming (with thanks to Michael):
US President Barack Obama's offer to talk to Iran shows that America's policy of "domination" has failed, the government spokesman said on Saturday.

"This request means Western ideology has become passive, that capitalist thought and the system of domination have failed," Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency....
BHO has shown weakness and even a willingness to submit. Instead of being a strong man, BHO reached out.

What a mistake!

Don't any of the West's leaders even bother to look at the history of Islam?

The ummah feel even more emboldened now. They are looking for Islam to rise up, in accordance with the will of Allah.

Obama Congratulates United Nations On Successful Iraqi Vote

Everyday, Barack Obama proves himself to be more sick and/or stupid than I wanted to believe.

Tell me, what does the UN have to do with the fact that the Iraqis are voting? What advantage could it possibly give us to thank the UN? Will the UN do more for the USA, or for the rest of the world, because we thanked them?

Where's the advantage?

The Iraqi people held another historic election today

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki hailed the largely peaceful provincial vote.
It was another great success for the young democracy.

Barack Obama congratulated the United Nations for the peaceful elections.
ABC News reported:

US President Barack Obama has praised Iraq's provincial elections as an "important step forward" for the future of the country.

"This important step forward should continue the process of Iraqis taking responsibility for their future," Mr Obama said in a statement after millions of Iraqis went to the polls to elect councils in 14 or Iraq's 18 provinces.

Security for the country's first ballot since 2005 was extremely tight, with Iraqi police and military deployed in force, and Mr Obama praised the technical assistance by the United Nations and other organisations to Iraq's electoral commission, which he said "performed professionally under difficult circumstances."

Mr Obama said "it is important that the councils get seated, select new governors and begin work on behalf of the Iraqi people who elected them."
The United States still has 130,000 soldiers serving in Iraq.
The troubled nation has seen a major turnaround due to the Bush Surge in 2007.
Obama did not mention the American military in his statement.

The president's statement was not posted on the White House website.

Larwyn comments:

Shame on this arrogant metrosexual whimp, who isn't worthy of cleaning any of the boots on that Iraqi sand and dirt who made the elections in Iraq possible.

How can any man or woman in our military support this JERK....

Obama worried that Carter label will stick

Sunday London Times:

LESS than two weeks into his administration, President Barack Obama is being portrayed by opponents as a new Jimmy Carter - weak at home and naive abroad - in an attempt to dim his post-election glow and ensure that he serves only one term.

The charge has stung because it was made privately by Hillary Clinton supporters during a hard-fought primary campaign and plays to fears about Obama's inexperience.

He is engaged in early trials of strength with Republicans in Washington and critics of the United States around the world – not least Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president. Obama faces battles to talk Wall Street into giving up its addiction to large bonuses and US banks to start lending again.

"Barack Obama thinks he can charm his adversaries into changing their ways but his personality can't change the dynamics," said Tom Edmonds, a Republican consultant.

"Carter [president from 1977 to 1981] had the same belief in naive symbolism. Their styles are very different but the political similarities are there."

The Republicans are in fighting mood after Obama failed to secure a single vote on their side for his $819 billion financial stimulus package in the House of Representatives, despite intensive wooing.

The bill came laden with spending on Democratic pet projects, including $50m for the arts and $400m for global warming research that critics said had little to do with boosting the economy. It also contains "buy American" protectionist provisions that have alarmed trading partners, including Britain.

...

If Gregg is appointed and Al Franken wins a disputed Senate recount battle in Minnesota, as seems likely, the Democrats will attain a filibuster-proof 60-seat majority in the Senate, allowing them to push through policies without obstruction.

"This is about as strong a power play as you can make in politics," said Tad Devine, a Democratic consultant. "It would give Barack Obama the political dominance that Karl Rove talked about the Republicans achieving."

...

However, Republicans believe he could be ejected in four years if they can portray him as the creature of spendthrift Democrats, with an ineffectual plan for dragging the US economy out of recession.

"This is the Republicans' way back. They have to return to their core values of cutting spending and taxes," said Edmonds. "If the stimulus package doesn't work, it is Obama's failure. It's got his name on it."

Synagogue Desecrated in Venezuela

Watch silent video: Cameras capture the extent of the damage to the ransacked synagogue in Venezuela >>>

BBC: An armed gang has ransacked the oldest Jewish synagogue in the Venezuelan capital Caracas after occupying the building for several hours.

About 15 unidentified men broke into the building before daubing graffiti on the walls and desecrating scriptures.

They also called for Jewish people to be expelled from the country.

Jewish leaders say tensions have risen since Venezuela broke diplomatic relations with Israel this month over its recent military offensive in Gaza.

Elias Farache, president of Venezuela's Jewish Association, said the gang had tied and gagged security guards before destroying offices and the place where holy books were kept.

Anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli slogans were painted on the walls.

"Never in the history of Venezuela's Jewish community have we been the target of such an aggression," said Mr Farache.

"The climate is very tense. We feel threatened, intimidated, attacked." >>> | Sunday, February 1, 2009

Cause for Calm Celebration In Iraq

and Somewhere in Texas George Bush is Smiling By Judith Miller Writer/FOX News Contributor What a difference four years makes. The last time Iraqis went to the polls in 2005, Iraq was in the grip of a violent insurgency. Assassination, suicide bombings and IEDs were the order of the day. There were few campaign posters: most candidates were too terrified to show their faces. Sunni Iraqis boycotted the election; so did many Shiite urban slum dwellers. Al Qaeda was firmly entrenched in Anbar province and its tentacles were spreading. Critics of the 2003 American invasion warned that the war had already been lost, that mayhem would inevitably follow. The elections were widely seen as having helped Iraq slide into sectarian politics en route to a total civil war. Yes, Iraq could still fall victim to the ethnic, religious, and ideological splits that led to Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship. But it is worth savoring this day after all the death and suffering on all sides, for these elections could represent more than what critics dismissed during the 2005 polls as a “purple-finger moment.” Four years later, the picture is hugely different. As Iraqis voted in record numbers on Saturday in fourteen of eighteen governorates to elect new provincial councils and set the stage for parliamentary elections later this year, much of Iraq is stable. Sunnis and Shiites alike are participating. More than 15 million of an estimated 17.2 million Iraqis eligible to vote signed up to cast ballots. Some 300 new parties have emerged, says the Council on Foreign Relations — democratic, liberal, nationalistic, and sectarian. The elections are being monitored not only by some 400 international observers, but by 300,000 Iraqis from various political parties. “These polls could represent another, far more peaceful turning point,” said the International Crisis Group, a non-governmental organization that has often been critical of America’s occupation and Iraq’s rulers. These polls, the ICG added, reflect a “remarkable transition.” In just four years, Iraqi politics have evolved from non-stop violence and conflict to an essentially “democratic contest over positions and institutions, including at the local level.” Yes, the elections are utter chaos. Some 14,428 candidates — a third of them women — are vying for 440 seats on the provincial councils that are supposed to oversee the delivery of real services to Iraqis, something that hasn’t happened to date. The candidates have been campaigning door-to-door, making promises they are unlikely to keep, handing out election posters, hats, buttons, and even items that Iraqi law bans, such as cash, food, blankets, and washing machines. Charges of vote-buying abound. (As in Chicago-style politics perhaps?) And yes, Iraq could still fall victim to the ethnic, religious, and ideological splits that led to Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship. But it is worth savoring this day after all the death and suffering on all sides, for these elections could represent more than what critics dismissed during the 2005 polls as a “purple-finger moment,” a reference to the ink-stained index fingers that Iraqi voters displayed to show that they had taken part in Iraq’s first free national election in decades. While violence has persisted — bombings, political intimidation, and the murder of least five candidates of different ethnicities and political persuasions in the run-up to Saturday’s voting — virtually all Iraq’s key political players participated directly or indirectly this time. Even Moktada al-Sadr, the son of the influential Shiite cleric who came to represent the face of opposition to America’s military presence in Iraq but who has not been seen in public in months, urged his estimated 20,000 followers to vote for ostensibly “independent” candidates on two lists that his faction had vetted and blessed. Will the euphoria prevail after the election posters come down? Many of those who know the country well are skeptical, understandably. Kenneth M. Pollack, of the Brookings Institute, who wrote a book endorsing the overthrow of Saddam Hussein and the notion of the U.S. invasion that George Bush launched in 2003, recently stressed that Iraq remained highly unstable. A lack of American focus, he warned, could enable “venal politicians” to distort the system and prompt Iraq to very quickly “go south.” Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, he said, was increasingly centralizing power in his own hands; his motives were uncertain. A similar warning came from Joost Hiltermann, an Iraq analyst and paradoxically, the author of the decidedly upbeat assessment that his group, the International Crisis Group, issued prior to the elections. Iraq, he warns, remains “fraught with crippling problems.” And it is unclear whether Iraq’s competing political factions will be able to create a “new national compact that ensures stability can withstand a U.S. exit.” These caveats are well worth remembering as President Obama weighs how to withdraw American forces from Iraq “responsibly,” as he put it. But for all the concern, the bottom line of Saturday’s national elections in Iraq is still cause for calm celebration: quarrels that were settled in Iraq only four years ago by mortars, bombs and guns are now being resolved at voting booths. The trend may not last, but it is something.

Violent Protests in Russia Call for Putin’s Resignation

Gee… I see that our Russian friends have been taking our advice [link here] seriously.
However, I find it tragic that it took an economic meltdown before they realized that their rights had been stripped away by Putin and his thugs.

Let that be a lesson for the rest of us…

Violent clashes in Russia as angry protesters call for Putin to resign over economy
By Daily Mail Reporter
31 January 2009

Russia was rocked today by some of its strongest protests yet as thousands rallied across the vast country to attack the Kremlin’s response to the global economic crisis.

The marches, complete with Soviet-style red flags and banners, pose a challenge to a government which has faced little threat from the fragmented opposition and politically apathetic population during the boom years fuelled by oil.

Pro-government thugs beat up some of the protesters.

About 2,500 people marched across the far eastern port of Vladivostok to denounce the Cabinet’s decision to increase car import tariffs, shouting slogans urging Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to resign. Many there make their living by importing cars.

Meanwhile in Moscow arrests were made as about 1,000 diehard Communists rallied in a central square hemmed in by heavy police cordons.

Communist Party chief Gennady Zyuganov told them the Kremlin must throw out
Western capitalism and impose sweeping nationalisation.

Eduard Limonov, leader of the banned National Bolshevik Party - and one of the Kremlin’s most radical critics - was arrested at another Moscow square.

Police dispersed demonstrators from the United Civil Front, comprising several radical opposition groups, who launched an illegal rally on a street near the Kremlin.

Protesters gathered near an Metro station but then sidestepped police by taking a train across the city to another location.

Some of the protesters were later arrested. Others were brutally beaten up by activists from pro-Kremlin youth groups.

Several dozen demonstrators marched on a central Moscow street, shouting slogans such as ‘Down with the government!’ and ‘Russia without Putin!’

We are demanding civil freedoms and pushing for the government’s resignation,’ said one of the protesters, Valery Nadezhdin.

Several van-loads of riot police only arrived at the site after protesters dispersed.

The protests come after years in which the Kremlin has sidelined political opponents and established tight controls over civil society and the media, rolling back many post-Soviet freedoms.

Today a small group of activists from an opposition youth group, We, stood near the Russian government’s monolithic headquarters with blank posters and their lips sealed with tape. All were arrested.

The authorities countered with a rally of the main pro-Kremlin United Russia party
next to the Kremlin - an area off-limits to all other demonstrations - where soldiers served hot tea and biscuits to some 9,000 participants.

United Russia also staged similar rallies in several other cities across Russia.

In St. Petersburg, where opposition groups were banned from holding rallies, they put individual protesters on the streets.

One, Denis Vasilyev of the United Civil Front, stood on a street with a placard saying: ‘Put the Government Under People’s Control!’

Police took down his details.

Katrina on Ice

Kentucky took a real serious ass-whoopin' during the latest round of Pope Albert's global warming. State of Emergency declared. Hundreds of thousands without power. Dozens dead, frozen to death. And what from CTR1600PA & FEMA? Zip. Nada. Nothing. FEMA spokeswoman Mary Hudak: "We have plenty of folks ready to go, but there are some limitations with roads closed and icy conditions." Well, ain't you guys supposed to be able to deal with that? Ain't that in your job description?

To which the press responds. . . um. . . ah. . . well, nothing, really. No weeping wailing whining gnarling gnashing of teeth that we had during a certain hurricane in a certain southern coastal town during a certain different president's (whose name, coincidentaly, had an 'R" after it) tenure, no mention that while they're freezing & we've been told “We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK... That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen.” he's jacked the heat up to "near tropical levels" at 1600 because he doesn't like the cold.

If you think I'm pissed, wait until you read In Mary's Image 's take on it.

Obama hates white people.

Yeah, I said it. If I use the same demented logic the Bush haters used during the Katrina disaster, then yes Obama hates white people. Here's how I got there...

Since this week's ice storm, over 607,000 people are without electricity in Kentucky alone. Yet, while hundreds of thousands of Americans shiver in the freezing cold, fighting for life, Obama and Congress dine on wazuu (or something) steak that costs around $100 a serving, sip expensive cocktails and Obama decrees that "he doesn't like the cold" then orders the White House thermostats to be set at temperatures so warm it reminds him of his home in Africa...I mean Hawaii. Temperatures so warm he can work without his suit jacket---yet he tells the rest of us to sacrifice and wear a sweater so we can lower our energy bills and save the planet.

As far as I can tell, Obama hasn't even mentioned the ice storm and the power outages, some three days later. I can remember the demented howls of the media driven left when President Bush didn't immediately leap into his Bushmobile and swoop in to save the poor misguided populace of New Orleans...you know that Chocolate City of Mayor Nagan's dreams.

Now, I havn't googled it, but I'm pretty sure the general population of Kentucky is overwhelmingly white and I am reasonably certain that Kentucky does not rank in the top five of average income earners, so applying the same logic that was so generously applied to President Bush...Obama hates white people.

It is a conspiracy to kill off the whites because everyone knows the long and oppressive history of the whites in Kentucky. Its payback for the years of slavery that Obama some how identifies with, when in fact his father was from Africa, a muslim and possibly somewhere in that family's history on the opposite end of slavery than America's blacks. But, a minor inconvenient point, right?

Do you see how stupid you liberals sounded to the rest of the common sense people in America during the Katrina disaster? Come on media people, fair is fair, you have to cover the ice storm with the same breathless horror as you did the Katrina disaster, otherwise aren't you risking the Republicans using the Fairness doctrine argument against you?

To the people of America who are affected by this ice storm, hang in there and thank you for showing the rest of the country how true Americans handle a crisis, without resorting to raping, murder, looting, and whining. Take care Americans and I'm praying for you.

Occasionally one finds an academic who is still awake and paying attention. I received this article , dated 1/21/09, in a recent email from a member of a local anti-jihad organization:

TERRORISM, SACRIFICE AND LIFE EVERLASTING UNCOMMON INSIGHTS FOR PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

by Louis Rene Beres, Purdue University
Dealing with terrorism will be at the very top of our new president’s agenda. Here it is important that he understand something odd. The core basis of Jihadist terror has little if anything to do with strategy and tactics. Rather, it is “normally” an expression of religious sacrifice.
[.....]
Here [in Jihad], sacrificial practice is a determinably sacred expression of religion. In these cultures, sacrifice derives from a desperately hoped-for conquest of personal death. Above all, with such practice, the Jihadist terrorist hopes to realize an otherwise unattainable promise of immortality.
[.....]

The Jihadist terrorist insistently claims to “love death,” but this is a lie. Paradoxically, he ecstatically kills himself and innocent others only to ensure that he will live forever. The so-called “death” that he expects to suffer in “suicide” is merely a momentary inconvenience on every martyr’s fiery path to life everlasting.

“Martyrdom” operations have always been associated with Jihad. After all, unequivocal and celebratory invocations for such killing can be found in the Koran (9:111), and, even more explicitly, in the canonical hadith.

For President Obama, the survival implications of this doctrinal fusion of religion and violence warrant very careful study. Convinced that Shahada (“Death for Allah”) violence against the United States will lead to martyrdom, the Islamist terrorist can never be deterred by ordinary threats of reprisal and retaliation. Falling outside the usual boundaries of “rationality,” Jihadist terrorism should compel us to seek very different and more purposeful measures of dissuasion. This means that to keep America safe, President Obama will have to look well beyond orthodox military and political solutions to terrorism.

It still appears to most observers that Jihadist terrorists are unafraid of death. But nothing could be further from the truth. It is precisely their unique and overwhelming terror of death that leads these killers to “suicide.” Ironically, because dying in the act of killing “infidels” and “apostates” is presumed to buy freedom from the penalty of death, these terrorists aim to conquer mortality by “killing themselves.”

[.....]

America and its terrorist enemies have decidedly different orientations to "peace." This stark asymmetry puts the United States at a foreseeable disadvantage. While America’s enemies manifest their "positive" expectations for immortality, individual and collective, by the intended and doctrinal slaughter of “heathen,” our leaders have thus far remained blithely unaware of these enemies’ murderous decisional calculus.

America’s new president now faces a real and expanding threat of unconventional war and unconventional terrorism. Faced with adversaries who are not only willing to die, but who also seek their own "deaths" - because this sacrificial death is presumed to yield personal immortality - Mr. Obama should quickly understand the critical limits of ordinary warfare, national homeland defense and deterrence.

The danger to America lies at two discrete but interrelated levels. First, it exists at the level of the individual Jihadist enemy who chooses “martyrdom” through a path of terrorism. Second, it exists at the level of states, the individual “self-sacrificers” in macrocosm, which may someday soon choose collective self-sacrifice through their frenzied initiation of chemical, biological or nuclear war against the United States. Significantly such a war might not be fought for traditional military purposes, but for "liquidation” of “infidels.” To be sure, any such choice would represent the unholiest of marriages between aggressive war and genocide, two clearly codified crimes under international law.

The root problem here is Jihadist death fear and the consequent compulsion to sacrifice certain despised "others." This compulsion, in turn, stems from a widespread and doctrinal belief that killing unbelievers, and also being killed by unbelievers, is the path toward immortality. Terrorist unwillingness to accept personal death leads, then, to the killing of others to escape this death. The ironies are staggering, but the connections persist. For President Barack Obama, they must be examined immediately and with great care.

How can Obama, with his childhood Muslim background, not be aware of this on some level? Is it possible he believes he can deflect this Jihad compulsion by "reconciliation"? Or is he more likely to pursue a strategy based on steeping America in Islamic influence and gradually turning up the heat? Will we eventually find ourselves facing a nationwide "convert or die" threat? Will this be part of the cleansing of our "souls" that Michelle Obama was yammering about in the early part of the campaign?
