Scores injured in gas explosion near Malaga, Spain

More than 70 people have been injured, four seriously, in an explosion caused by a suspected gas leak near the southern Spanish city of Malaga. 

The blast happened in a cafe in the town of Velez-Malaga at about 17:00 GMT during a local festival. 

Pictures from the scene show severe damage to the La Bohemia cafe and debris strewn across a street. Local newspaper La Opinion de Malaga said that the chef had raised the alarm moments before the blast. 

The newspaper also reported (in Spanish) that police cars helped ferry the injured to hospital because the local ambulance service was overwhelmed with casualties. 

The cause of the blast "could have been a gas leak," the town's mayor, Antonio Moreno Ferrer, told local reporters.

Fresno Veteran Says Muslim Terrorist Crashed Into Him at 100 MPH

Fox26News: Fresno veteran says terrorist crashed into him at 100 mph

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) — A Fresno man believes he was the victim of a terrorist attack, right here on the roadways in California. 

Now, he wants the guy who he says attacked him off the streets so he doesn’t hurt anyone else. 

Scott Alcala was driving to San Jose to play golf with his father, when he says he was hit by another car. 

Witnesses say a car going extremely fast swerved into Alcala, causing him to fish tail and cross into oncoming traffic. 

Alcala said, “I saw the suburban coming right at me about to T-bone right into the driver door and I thought that was it. A second later I turned my head and just smashed into the barrier.” 

Alcala says he and the other driver were miraculously able to get out of their cars without hitting anyone else. 

Alcala said, “The off-duty police officer went to talk to the other driver in his vehicle and he said, 'Are you alright? That was way too fast,' and (the driver) said 'I didn’t it on purpose. It was in the name of Allah.'" 

The police report says driver Ameer Abbaf Fakhraldin told police the collision was caused by Donald Trump's improper treatment of minorities, and by Allah and other people's lack of faith in him. Fakhraldin estimated his speed was 200 miles per hour. He also told police he caused the crash by using psychic / telekinetic powers to control the steering. The officer at the scene said the driver showed apathy and neglected interest. 

Alcala said, “There was no remorse. He just went back to his car nonchalant, pulled out a water bottle and just posted up." 

Police haven't specified if this was an act of terrorism but Alcala thinks it was.
Alcala said, “He was just trying to target as many people as he could. He was just trying to cause a pile up. It wasn't me personally. It was as if someone were to throw a bomb in the middle of downtown, its no different, it’s the same thinking.” 

Alcala is a veteran who fought overseas in the war on terror. He says seeing stuff like this happening now right here in the U.S., makes him feel like he's back in a war zone all over again. 

Alcala said, “Coming back from Afghanistan, thinking I’m on home soil I’m safe now….just shouldn't have to worry about something like that you know.”

Hillary Names Merkel As Her "Favorite World Leader"

Hillary Clinton trolled two White House opponents with a single response, dinging Gary Johnson and Donald Trump by naming Angela Merkel as her favorite world leader. The Democratic presidential nominee on Thursday joined the discussion about politicians’ favorite world leaders, a topic that went viral when Johnson, the Libertarian nominee, drew a blank when asked Wednesday to name a world leader he looks up to and respects.   

“Oh, let me think. Look, I like a lot of the world leaders,” Clinton said, bursting into laughter initially when asked about her favorite world leader during a gaggle with reporters aboard her campaign plane in Chicago. 

“One of my favorites is Angela Merkel because I think she’s been an extraordinary, strong leader during difficult times in Europe, which has obvious implications for the rest of the world and, most particularly, our country.” 

Clinton praised the German chancellor’s “leadership and steadiness on the Euro crisis,” while adding that “her bravery in the face of the refugee crisis is something that I am impressed by.” 

Clinton said she and Merkel have known each other since the 1990s and spent a lot of time together. 

“And I hope I’ll have the opportunity to work with her in the future, but we could talk about lots of different leaders if you want to sometime,” she quipped as she walked away with a smile. 

Her seemingly innocuous response could be interpreted as a two-pronged attack against Johnson and Trump, though. When first asked the question, Johnson admitted that he was having another “Aleppo moment,” a reference to an embarrassing interview with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” earlier this month in which he asked, “What is Aleppo?” in response to a question about the city that represents the center of Syria’s civil war and refugee crisis, prompting serious questions about his acumen to be commander in chief. 

Trump has frequently attacked Merkel on the campaign trail, panning her for Germany’s intake of refugees, and will likely use that line against Clinton in the final stages of the campaign. “Hillary Clinton is running to be America’s Angela Merkel, and we’ve seen how much crime and how many problems that’s caused the German people,” Trump said in a speech he delivered last month in Charlotte, North Carolina.

BULGARIA has banned the burka – and warned those who flout the law will be fined £662 and lose their benefits. 

Bulgaria’s parliament banned the wearing of face veils on Friday in a bid to boost security in the wake of Islamist militant attacks in Europe. 

The new “burqa ban” law, which had been driven by the nationalist Patriotic Front coalition, comes after France, the Netherlands and Belgium banned the wearing of burqas or niqabs in public. 

The ban will not only apply to Bulgarian citizens but also to anyone temporarily in the country. The new law states that clothing that conceals the face may not be worn in the institutions of Bulgaria’s central and local administrations, schools, cultural institutions, and places of public recreation, sports and communications. 

Krasimir Velchev, a senior lawmaker for the ruling GERB, said: “The law is not directed against religious communities and is not repressive. “We made a very good law for the safety of our children.” 

Covering the head, eyes, ears and mouth will only be permitted for health reasons, professional necessity and at sporting and cultural events. The ban will also apply to houses of worship. 

A minority of Muslim women in Europe cover their faces, but their veils have become symbols for some Europeans troubled by security, immigration and Muslim integration. 

Muslims make up about 12 percent of Bulgaria’s 7.2 million population and most belong to a centuries-old community, largely ethnic Turks. 

Many Bulgarians are concerned that the migrant inflows into Europe may pose a threat to their predominantly Orthodox Christian culture and help radicalise part of the country’s long-established Muslim minority.

PAKISTAN’S Defence Minister has threatened to “destroy” India – after India said on Thursday it had carried out “surgical strikes” on suspected militants preparing to infiltrate from Pakistan-ruled Kashmir. 

The strikes, which were a response to shots fired across the de facto border through the disputed Himalayan territory, could lead to a military escalation between the two nuclear-armed neighbours – risking a ceasefire agreed in 2003. 

Both Pakistan and India claim Kashmir in full, but rule separate parts Tensions have been heightened since an attack on an Indian military base in Kashmir earlier this month, which left 18 soldiers dead.

Pakistan says it opposes these Islamic Jihadi groups, but then it threatens nuclear war if it's neighbor attempts to take said groups out.

Kerry in leaked audio: “I lost the argument” for use of force in Syria

“I think you’re looking at three people, four people in the administration. I lost the argument. I’ve argued for the use of force. I’m the guy who stood up and announced that we’re going to attack Assad for the use of weapons,” Kerry is heard telling the Syrian attendees, referring to internal deliberations within the administration of President Barack Obama that followed Assad’s use of chemical weapons in 2013. 

Kerry also faulted Congress for failing to support such a retaliatory strike, saying, “The bottom line is that Congress refused even to vote to allow that.” 

“We have a Congress that will not authorize our use of force,” he added, explaining that a new military intervention would be difficult to bring about…”

Historian, Barbara Lefebvre: Crooked School Lessons Present Islam as Peaceful, Demonise Christians

“A historian has slammed the double standards employed in French schools which present Muslim conquerors as peaceful and brilliant, and Christians as backwards oppressors. 

Against the backdrop of terror attacks and rising Islamic extremism worldwide, teacher and author Barbara Lefebvre contends that education on Islam has “never been more necessary”. 

But the historian, who has published several books on the Holocaust, argues that textbooks’ sanitisation of Muslim conquests and their presentation of an Islamic supremacist version of history is completely unhelpful. 

The historian says textbooks focus on the “peaceful coexistence” of Muslims and Christians and that official guidelines tell teachers not to study “events that tend to emphasise the warlike contacts”. 

She draws attention to the fact that, incredibly, books use the term “resuming control” when describing Mohammed’s conquests of previously non-Muslim areas. This presents as legitimate “reconquests” the warlord’s bloody takeovers of regions that were never previously Muslim, nor his territory. 

This directive is ignored, she notes, when it comes to the Crusades, as prominent textbooks title their chapter on the subject of Christian self-defence “Violent Holy Wars”. 

This period of history, and the Spanish people’s reconquest of their own country, is told through a series of bloodthirsty “crimes”, Lefebvre notes. The focal point of peaceful cooperation between the two religions is exemplified by trading relations in the French curriculum. 

However, Lefebvre observes that even this narrative follows a Muslim supremacist agenda as textbooks “unanimously describe Islamic civilisation as ‘brilliant’” and claim that all the West is hugely in debt to Arabic science. 

To hammer home the discredited idea that Muslims were wise educators to Europe’s ignorant cave-dwellers, the professor discloses that textbooks quote a Muslim occupier as saying: “This country does not know what science is and those who lived knew no one here who had made himself illustrious by his love for knowledge.” 

Lefebvre notes that, to emphasise this one-sided narrative, students are asked to “show that the presence of Muslims in Andalusia helps develop science and Greek philosophy in the West” in their assessment. 

The professor describes as “disconcerting” the fact that textbooks rely entirely on Muslim sources for accounts of relations between Muslims and non-Muslims. As a result, pupils in French classrooms are taught that non-Muslims welcomed being conquered and invaded as “a blessing”.

Nazi Paikidze, the reigning US Women’s Chess Champion, swore to boycott the 2017 contest, which is being held in Iran and will have an enforced Islamic dress code. 

Paikidze admitted that the decision will harm her career, but said that doing the bidding of an oppressive regime in order to compete is not a price worth paying. 

In an interview with the founder of My Stealthy Freedom, a campaign against Iran’s hijab laws, she said: “I will NOT wear a hijab and support women’s oppression. Even if it means missing one of the most important competitions of my career.”
